Chapter 10: Jamie Angel and the Bad Man

Jamie looked around as they walked through the forest. It had already been two days since they left Maru city… 6 more days until they reach Alikai City. It was cold… but not as bad as they had seen in the past couple of weeks. The trees were showing signs of life still though with all the constant care from the forest Pokémon that made the trees and bushes their home.

"Hey Jamie" Crystal tugged on his jacket, "Can we take a break for a while, my feet are starting to hurt"

"Sure thing" He smiled.

"Yay" she smiled as she walked to a tree and sat down to start massaging her sore pads, "Ahhh… that feels better"

"Do your feet hurt Lexi?" He asked as he looked at his best friend. She held up her paw, her claws held apart just a tad bit meaning they did a little bit, "Then come sit down"

She yipped and sat down next to Crystal and he started massaging her warm pads. He knew it was harder for Lexi to reach her feet, but Jamie knew better then to voice those words because Lexi would push him away and do it herself just to spite him. He kept his mouth shut and continued working his fingers into her pads. She yipped low and softly just as she relaxed…. But she smelled something different though. His scent was normal as ever…. But Lexi smelt different. Maybe she had just passed over a strange plant or something. That was usually the most used excuse since they had been sprayed by many different plants over the past few days, and each one smelt different, sometimes horrible, sometimes utterly too sweet, others just different from normal scents. They had bathed 3 times already that day because they'd been spraid by nothing but foul plants. She quickly dismissed the smell as the plants. Jamie heard her sigh softly as he finish and stood helping her then his lover to their feet. She kissed his cheek and walked at his side as they started down the road.

"I hope we don't get sprayed again" He said as he looked around, "The stream we've been using took a bend in that direction 3 miles back"

"Don't worry" Crystal smiled as she took his hand, "We'll make it through this forest with little to no trouble"

"I hope you're right sweetie" He smiled.

They watched their surroundings carefully though as they continued. They weren't as worried about the plants as they were about the poison type Pokémon around. He smiled though as he looked up and found birds flying overhead. He smiled and looked out at the large flock above them… they looked to be Swablu and Altaria.

"Jamie" She suddenly said as she stopped, "Wait, I can hear something… almost like some's crying"

"do you hear it Lexi?"

She nodded and started looking around. Crystal started moving round to pinpoint the location of said crier. Her ears twitching this way and that way as she closed her eyes and focused. Her eyes burst open as she stood straight and started sniffing the air slightly.

"this way" He followed Crystal as she started walking into the trees. He soon saw something he didn't like. Beedrills surrounded a Lopunny who was standing near a Weedle who was crying harder than the Lopunny who was holding her side, blood staining her side and paws.

"Hang on" He said almost silently as he grabbed Crystal's shoulder, "Sneak around and wait for me and Lexi to distract them before you grab the Lopunny and jump away"

"Okay" She nodded and moved away from them.

"Count to 10, then we move in" He said softly, "One… Two… Three… Four… Five..."

When he finally hit ten, Lexi was diving from the trees while Jamie grabbed a Beedrill in each arm and started squeezing slightly at their necks. He knew how to put a Beedrill out with ease, and little damage to them, from being attacked that one vacation in the Kanto region. He dropped them to the ground as they fell unconscious and unmoving, going for the next pair and doing the same to them. They had only been fighting for a few minutes when Crystal finally yelled at them. They were ready to leave and ditched their dazed opponents. Lexi was sson sent into a rampage though as Jamie hit the ground with a load howl of pain…. His side ripped wide open, almost showing his ribs.

"Jamie, come on Jamie, wake up" He heard the soft voice, "know you can hear me"

"Crystal?" He asked as his as his eyes fluttered open, assaulted with the blur of his vision.

"Not quite" She said as my eyes came into focus showing a pink haired girl with green eyes, and a bright smile, "How do you feel cowboy?"

"Like a champ Zebstrika just bucked me off into the stands then let loose a Stomp"

"Oh… so close" She giggled, "More like a Beedrill giving you a powerful Poison Jab and glanced off your ribs taking skin off almost close to the bone"

"Where are Crystal and Lexi?" He asked softly.

"Oh, they're outside with Lopunny" she said, "I'll go get them"

"Thank You" He smiled.

He heard their excited gasps as the tent flap was pulled open, Crystal diving on top of him, forgetting that he had a side that was previously torn open by a very large stinger. The sudden yell in pain made Crystal jump to her feet and start bowing to him.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" she said rapidly.

"It's okay Crystal" He assured, "You can hug me, just…. Don't touch my side"

"I'm sorry Jamie" she said as she wrapped him in a half hug, laying a hand gently on his chest, "I've just, you've been unconscious and she wouldn't let us in the tent… I just, I'm just so happy you're okay"

"It's okay, I'm happy I'm okay too" He said as he stroked her back lightly, enjoying her warmth, "Go ahead, kiss him, we all know you want to" The girl smiled, "Don't be embarrassed… you're amongst friends"

"Thank you" Crystal said as she locked him in the deepest kiss she could muster.

"That looked Yummy, I want one" The Lopunny suddenly said.

Jamie's eyes shot open as he gasped slightly. It made him choke on Crystal's tongue.

"Damn it Lopunny" She looked at her partner, "I told you, if you're gonna break your promise, at least break it when there's not a chance of someone dying"

"It's not that she can talk, just, up until now I thought only Crystal could talk"

"If you want to really look at it, you can teach any Pokémon how to speak English"

"Yeah" Jamie smiled as Crystal cuddle against his good side, "How long until I can get up?"

"I'd recommend not moving for at least today and tomorrow, you lost a lot of blood and it'll take some time to get it back" She looked at him with a smile, "Oh, my name's Lindsy by the way, I already know your name"

"I can't stay down for two days in a row, who knows how much time I've already wasted" Harley said, "I'll stay in camp for today but I won't have any trouble getting around tomorrow, ask Lexi. I don't play this sit and heal game"

Crystal nuzzled his chest lightly, "You should rest some more Jamie… you're heart beat still isn't as strong as it should be"

"But I feel f…" Her hard look cut him off, "Fine, but only if you stay here and cuddle up beside me, I'm cold"

"Wouldn't have it any other way" She smiled as she pulled the blanket back up over him.

His eyes opened slowly as he heard the growl. He could see the shadows from the fire casting them on the tent. There were two humans and from as far as he could see, three pokemon, maybe four if there was one standing where his/her shadow wouldn't be casted on the tent. He heard another growl as the unknown person stepped closer to Lindsy.

"Stay away from us" Lindsy said softly.

"Why, I don't think any of you can stop me, I mean, look at that Lopunny, she looks like she's about to faint"

The harsh voice made Jamie get to weak feet and walk out the tent to see a grown man standing there with a Sneasel by his side, but something looked different about this trainer, Jamie knew him from somewhere. Jamie tried to hold himself up with all the strength he could muster, and yet he still looked like he couldn't even stand though he was.

"Leave, or else" Jamie said, Crystal getting up and moving to his side, letting him grab her shoulder for support.

"Or else what?" The man said as he stared at Jamie with hard eyes.

"Well, I can't fight to good in this condition, so I'll even the odds a bit" He said hoarsely as he pulled the knife from his pocket, "Now leave us alone and go about your business"

"Hmm, Sneasel" The man said.

Lexi stepped between Jamie and Sneasel, giving a menacing growl as her claws glowed purple with a Night Slash. Crystal looked at Jamie as he almost fell, his skin growing slightly pale as he stood there. He wasn't ready to be doing any type of activity, he was still regain strength and suffering from the enormous loss of blood, which he was lucky to be alive because of how much he had lost. Lexi would step in, and if Lexi needed help, Crystal would join in and start fighting her hardest as well.

"Now's not the time, let's go" The man said as he turned and started walking away.

Jamie fell from Crystal, landing on the ground with a hard thud, "Jamie…"

Crystal, using all her strength, managed to lift Jamie from the ground enough to drag him back into the tent. Lexi soon following behind with a serious look, she was going to give him the harshest lecture she could muster when he woke up. Crystal was having the same thoughts as she gently laid him on the sleeping bag and covered him up before lying down beside him. He was cold and his skin felt different, stiff and sticky. Lexi found her place on the other side of him and half curled on top of him so that her mane would cover him to add a bit more heat. They fell asleep at his side instantly… but Crystal was having trouble, she could sense something bad from the man they had encountered that night as well as having bad dreams about what would have happened if Jamie had lost just that much more blood. She didn't want to think about it but it was in the back f her mind, the fear of almost losing him. She knew Lexi had faith in him and knew he would pull through but she still knew that Jamie couldn't survive everything all the time.

Jamie felt odd, having Lexi rant and rave at him and Crystal translating for her when all he wanted to do was go outside and eat by the fire being used to cook their breakfast. But they weren't done with him yet, by the look in Lexi's eyes.

"How stupid can you get, you're in no position to be fighting or even walking and still you ornery ass, you get up and go outside to fight if you started fighting him. We were there, I'm sure if he gave us good reason to we would be within legal rights to have taken him down without getting taken away from you" Crystal translated for her.

"Would you too quit already" He said hoarsely, still a little weak but his side was killing him still, "I've had enough okay, I was just being me, you two know that even if I'm on my death bed, if you two are in trouble, I'm going to use my last few minutes alive to help as much as I can"

Their heads suddenly tilted down at his words. They knew he wasn't made at him because he knew they just cared about him. He was right though… they had no right to tell him that shouldn't have been him, and that he should never do what he does. Lexi and Crystal walked forward and got up beside him, both of them nuzzling against him in apology.

"It's okay, just don't react so bad when I do it" He smiled, wrapping them in his arms, "I would've been okay, you two just hold off the Sneasel if he comes back tonight. I'll take care of him. I may not be all that flexible and fast with these stitches still in my side but I can manage. I can still fight and stuff like that okay"

"Okay Jamie" Crystal said before licking his cheek.

"Can I go outside and eat now?" He asked. Poking at their sides playfully, making them giggle, "On my own, I wanna see how good I can walk now"

"Okay" Crystal said as she gt to her feet and stood at his side just in case, Lexi doing the same thing.

He grunted, getting to his knees and putting his hands on the ground before pushing off it and slowly rising to his feet. He felt good, his side gave a sharp sting of pain but he could deal with it. Now they just had to watch him walk outside. Lexi felt he could do it, but Crystal was still at his side with a nervous want to grab his arm to at least keep him steady if he couldn't walk straight.

"This actually feels pretty good" He smiled as he one leg up off the ground and balanced perfectly. He laughed throwing his head back, not even that throwing him off balance, "Well, I'd say I'm good, so let's go outside"

Crystal almost whimpered in thanks as he grabbed her hand and walked outside, walking at her side with Lexi following close behind. Lindsy was by the fire, making plates full of food for all of them. Jamie's was the biggest though since he was trying to regain the blood he had lost. He sat down and thanked her as she served him first, then Crystal and Lexi, Crystal leaning against him slightly as they ate. It was fun for them to just sit back and relax like this. Eating and having fun.

"How are you feeling today Jamie?" Lindsy asked as she smiled at him.

"I'm feeling good, good enough to relocate if you want to, hell, we can separate if you wanna get away from us" He laughed at his own remark.

"Well, I've never really met someone who's willing to love their Partner's as much as we do, plus in this forest, ain't no freakin' way I'm going it alone when I don't have to anymore" She said, "This forest is rumored to be the domain of a man that robs everyone, steals Pokémon, rapes women, sometimes kills people. But since I saw the way you acted last night towards that one guy, I'm not gonna just leave you when you might be my ticket to surviving this"

"So you're just using me" He pretended to act like a hurt lover, "How could you?"

Everyone laughed at his joke as they looked around, "There is something strange about that man though" Crystal said while bowing her head, "I kept getting this bad feeling when I looked at him, I kept seeing this black veil coming over his body, are my eyes going bad?"

"No hun, your just slowly learning how to sense Aura" He smiled as he rubbed her back, "Did you say black?"

"That can't be a good sign, I was told that most normal colors are blue and orange, pink if they're happy and in love at the same time" Lindsy said as she looked at Crystal, "What kinda color do you see when you look Jamie the way you looked at that man last night?"

"I see" She looked at Jamie and saw the flames appear in and around him, it felt like she was looking at a ghost, "I see red, it's flowing like fire, but inside him as well as around him"

"I don't know what that one means" Lindsy said as she looked at Jamie, "That's why we're going to Rundam Town"

"Rundam Town?"

"Yeah, it's the small town just beyond those mountains"

"I thought there wasn't a town between Maru and Alikai?"

"Then you're reading an out dated map" Lindsy smiled, "Anyway, I'm going there because my Grandma lives there and her Lucario just had eggs, she's giving me an egg"

"That's cool, I didn't get to see Crystal here hatch but I did get to watch her evolve which was fun, she went from so cute and innocent to so beautiful and cuddly, though she's always been fond of cuddling, can't blame her though, it feels awesome" He smiled as he poked her side tickled her side, "But how does that help us figure out what my natural Aura means?"

"The male Lucario can use telepathy" She said as she looked at him, "And he knows more about Aura then any Lucario in this region"

"I see, well, if we get through this god forsaken forest then we can find out what my aura means" He smiled as he took another bite of his food, "I'm feeling good enough, Maybe you guys will let me travel if I put my arm over Crystal's shoulder while we walk"

"Prove that you're okay first" Crystal said with a smile, "And then we'll agree to that"

"Fine" He smiled back and set his plate down before looking at Lexi who set her plate down and got to her feet. Jamie scooted away and lay down on the dirt, reaching up as Lexi laid back and balanced herself on his arms, "How's this for proving that I'm okay"

With that, he started bench pressing Lexi, She enjoyed when he done this cuz she got to stretch her back a bit. They hadn't done this since they left Unova, She needed help getting her back to stop hurting after her and Jamie had used their Mom and Dad's at home gym. He was bench pressing at the time as well. She walked over to him and he saw what she needed and put away the weights before scooting down the bench and telling her to lay across his hands and slowly bend backwards with gravity pulling her. When she finally hit her maximum bending point, Jamie lowered her and then pushed up, stretching out her spine as well as the muscles in her back which made her groan in pleasure at the release of all the pressure.

This was happening now and they all felt jealous at her groans and whimpers, "Whatever you're doing, I want to go next" Lopunny said, "Cuz it sounds like it feels really good"

"Then come over here, I think her back's just about done" Jamie smiled as he looked around, "Then I'll do you and Crystal"

"Okay" She smiled as she got to her feet and walked over, "My back's hurting from sleeping on this hard ground and waking up in a strange position last night"

He smiled as Lexi got up and motioned for Lopunny to slowly lay back on his hands and find where she has most balance that way there wasn't a lot of strain put on his wrists. She helped Lopunny find the right position before she stepped away and Let Jamie do what he does best. She slowly started bending backwards, once she was all the way back, he lowered her then pushed up, stretching her back out even further. She couldn't help but moan loudly at the release.

Jamie smiled as he looked around, it was good to be back on the move again. He had his arm over Crystal's shoulders and walked with her, laughing and joking with all of them. They were having fun until they saw someone very fresh in their minds… it was the man from before. He was wearing a black duster, that's all they could see, the large hood hiding his face, Jamie hadn't seen a hood the other night, but he was just barely in the circle of light, most of his face was hidden. The Sneasel was sitting on the ground next to him, licking her claws idly. He laughed weirdly as they stopped dead in their tracks. Jamie pushed Crystal behind him as he started walking forward.

"Don't believe the rumors, I actually don't kill, rape, or steal, I just love spreading ghost stories and getting people out of my forest as fast as possible." He suddenly said while he stepped away from the tree, "Most of the trainer's I've encountered have never kept going, they usually turn back"

"Yeah well, it's hard getting a trainer that doesn't get scared to turn back" Jamie growled as he stepped forward, "This is free land, we can cross whether you want us to or not"

"No, I own this forest, no one is allowed in except for Pokémon and myself"

"Route 65 runs right through this forest" Jamie said as he took another step forward, "Is this gonna turn into a fight?"

"Depends on which kind of fight" He said as he stepped closer. He saw the flame spark in Jamie's eyes, "Sneasel, you know what to do"

Suddenly the Sneasel disappeared, as well as Crystal, "Crystal!"

"You want her back, then turn away and go back to the beginning, we'll see your there, she'll be waiting for you" He turned away.

"Lexi" Jamie said as he looked at her.

She nodded before running off into the bushes. She was going to follow the man, finding a way to leave a trail for Jamie to follow. Jamie smiled as he turned to start walking away, digging his heel into the ground hard to leave a mark before he started walking away. He would lead Lindsy back a few yards then come back and start following Lexi until the man settled down for camp. It was strange seeing them operate the way they did. Sneasel was that fast and easily overpowered Crystal like that… and the way she acted was unnatural, like she was acting it out for the guy but in reality she was just following orders because she believed that she had no choice. He hated when he met people that made Pokémon feel like they were no longer free. Crystal and Lexi knew that if they wanted to leave they could, the Pokéballs were just more for protection and so no one else could really catch them. He loved them like they were humans, trusted them with his life like they trusted him with theirs, and he treated them equally, as if they really were humans. He looked around before turning and started walking back. Lidsy was confused at first as they started walking back to the spot where Jamie had left the deep boot mark. He walked into the bush where Lexi had disappeared through and smiled as he looked around. She had purposely scratched at the ground and trees as she snuck around. He followed the path with a hint of joy in his body language, but in his eyes, you could see that he was worried about his girls.

"Jamie, what's the purpose of having a belt that's full of Pokéballs when you only have two Pokémon?" Lindsy asked.

"Because, I leave it up to them… if they want to travel with me then I register them as me with one, then I just travel with them" He laughed softly, "I don't really look for Pokémon either. I let them come to me for the most part. Well… Lexy and Crystal didn't really come to me through that method. Lexy was my starter, and Crystal was given to me by an old lady whose husband died and she can't really travel and give Crystal the life that would make her strong and happy by being around someone who naturally bonds with Pokémon"

"You're the weirdest trainer I've ever met, no offense"

"Better than being normal" He chuckled as he looked at her, now, we need to be quiet, in case we get close fast"

"Right" She said before everything turned silent.

Jamie was used to playing hide and seek with Lexy from back when she was a Zorua and sometimes after she had evolved. They just enjoyed the hunt, it's what they did to have fun when they were still just traveling by themselves. Jamie had become a good tracker when he was still playing like that with her. Not that it was hard when she left marks for you to follow.

Crystal looked at him and the Sneasel and they sat against the tree. She could shake the black aura he emitted from his body. She couldn't stop looking, even when she looked away, she felt it.

"So… why did you choose to travel with that trainer?" He asked suddenly, snapping her out of her daze, "He doesn't seem like he does much in the way of training"

"He's taught me a lot and made me strong in his own way" She said as she looked away, "Why do you want to know?"

"Because, I may have kidnapped you, that doesn't mean I'm going to hurt you" He said as he reached out and started stroking Sneasel's head. She leaned into his touch and murred, "See… she acts mean but she's actually quite harmless"

"Yeah" Crystal looked away, wishing that Jamie or even Lexy was at least around to snuggle against. It was starting to get cold in the forest as the sun slowly went down, "I can see that"

"Hmm… you're one of those Pokémon that fell in love with their trainer aren't you" He chuckled, "That's how Sneasel is… she's the reason I'm out here in the woods instead of living in the city like I used to. I was a doctor until I met her"

"What happened?" She asked as she looked at him.

"Well… we met in the park, she was cold and wet because it was raining. I tried to get her to take my caught but she was fixing to attack me, thinking I was trying to do something bad. She jumped and instead of trying to dodge or anything, I just opened my jacket and trapped her inside and started talking to her while she tried to get out. Soon she relaxed, than when we got home I let her go and sat her on the couch then got a towel and started drying her off" He smiled, "When she realized that I was trying to help she pretty much attached herself to me. When the rain stopped I told she could go if she wanted to. She crawled up into my lap and went to sleep instead"

"Wow" She said as she looked at him with a smile.

"What about you… how did you and him meet?" He asked as he looked her over.

"Well… as far as I remember, the lady that was taking care of me gave me to him because she was getting old and couldn't keep up the way she did when her and my mom were traveling. My mom had died lying the eggs so I didn't know her, I was the only one that made it" She looked at him with a smile, "So one day she lays me down for a nap, but I wake up in this warm hug, cradled like a little baby, he had a smile on his face and he was warm to the touch, and his eyes said I could trust him more than anyone else on the planet"

"He must be something special" He said as he looked at her.

"Well… I didn't really start getting these deep feelings until the day we were attacked by another trainer. Lexy was knocked out and we were sent flying, Jamie landed hard on his neck and shoulders, I heard the popping and snapping of bones and everything" She said as she looked down, "I had fell out of his jacket, it was winter so that's where he kept me, and the trainer sent a focus ball at me. Despite the pain he was in and everything that happened when he hit the ground, he was still on his feet and fast enough to get in front of me and took the attack himself. Burned his jacket to pieces and drained most of his energy, dropped him to the ground, even then he didn't give up, he reached out and curled around me to protect me"

"Well… I give him that… he's a pretty good guy. I thought he was just a push over the other night when he came out like that" He chuckled, "What exactly happened?"

"He got stabbed in the side by a Beedrill" She looked at him, "He lost a lot of blood"

"Oh… I guess he had a right to pull that knife if I was going to do something" He said as he looked up towards the sky, "You might wanna join us under the tree… it's gonna rain tonight"

"Okay" She said as she got to her feet and started walking to the tree, sitting down close, but leaving some space between her and him.

"Hey Lexy" He said at a whisper as he gently touched her shoulder. The rain was coming down hard and all of them were soaked to the bone, "Where are they?"

She pointed out through the bushes to a large tree on the other side of the clearing. He looked closely and saw the blue fur in the darkness of a stormy night. Crystal was shivering and awake, looking around for any sign of Jamie, not knowing how close he really was to her.

"Lindsy, you stay here" Jamie said as he grabbed his side, "Let's get as close as we can Lexy"

She nodded and they started sneaking through the bushes to Crystal, getting closer and closer with each step. They would have to move in a sem-circle to reach them undetected unless Jamie lost his patience and charged in head first. Lexy was praying that he kept himself in check.

"Wait… it looks like Crystal is the only one awake" He said as he laid his hand on Lexy's shoulder, "I wanna try something okay"

He poked his arm out of the bush and waved a few times, waiting for a reaction from her but not getting one. He took it a step further and crawled forward until the upper half of his body was sticking out of the bushes and he looked straight at her. Come on Crystal, notice me, notice something that'll make you see me, he thought as he continued watching her.

"It's not working, we're gonna have to get close" He whispered as he pulled back into the bushes, "Let's get moving"

They continued sneaking as close as they could but it was a dead halt when they heard the snarl. It was Sneasel, she was blocking their path and looking directly into Jamie's eyes. Lexy growled as she looked at the Sneasel, but Jamie placed his hand on her shoulder and looked at the Sneasel.

"Hi… we haven't properly been introduced" Jamie said, "My name's Jamie, I'm a Pokémon Trainer, though we just travel for the most part, but we get into a battle every now and then"

She tilted her head in confusion as Jamie held out his hand. She timidly reached out and placed her sharp claws in the palm of his hand. He gently grasped and shook, watching her carefully to see if he was doing it correctly.

"It's a pleasure to meet you" He smiled widely before letting go of her paw and looking at Lexy, "This is Lexy, and that Lucario over there, her names is Crystal"

Sneasel began talking so rapidly that Jamie was lost in seconds. Lexy was keeping up though as she looked at Crystal who was soon getting to her feet slowly and quietly, she looked at the strange man before Sneasel walked out of the bushes and motioned for her to start walking. Crystal got a good distance between her and the man before she started running, jumping over the bushes and taking Jamie to the ground in a hug licking at his cheek and pressing herself against him as best she could.

"Calm down" Jamie whispered, grabbing at his side as it started to ache, "I'm happy you're okay"

"Me and Sneasel had some time to talk when he fell asleep and she decided to help me and you guys get through the forest" She said as she kissed him briefly, "She'll keep him trapped here while we get out"

"It should take no more than a day or two to get over that hill" Jamie said as he looked at the Sneasel, "Thank you very much Sneasel, I owe you. I'll bring something for you when we pass back through"

She started talking again and Crystal translated for him, "She likes apples, especially those strange orange ones that grow around Rundam"

"Okay, we'll pick you some and either send them here or bring them back ourselves" He smiled as Crystal pressed herself to his side again, "We'll get you some though, I promise"

She walked forward and hugged Crystal and even tiptoed to kiss his cheek before she ran to her best friend and settled down next to him. Jamie and Crystal got to their feet and along with Lexy started back to Lindsy before they started moving away from the clearing.

Crystal, Lexy, and Jamie all walked around, each of them holding a bag with five apples in each bag. They were walking back from their apple hunt when Lindsy and her Lopunny ran up with big smiles.

"We found out what your Aura's mean" She smiled as she stopped in front of them, "Red means brave, I think he called a warriors fire, so apparently Jamie's a warrior, Pink is Love, I figured as much, Black, well, he'd never known that aura could be black, and Lexy also has Red"

"Well, two warriors, and a cute little Lucario" Jamie said as he poked at Crystal's side, "What more could I ask for?"

"Oh hush" Crystal said, leaning against him with a smile.

"So you guys are leaving today?" Lindsy asked with a frown, Her and Jamie had become good friends in just a short amount of time.

"Yeah, we gotta get back out on the road" Jamie said as he looked into her eyes, "You're welcome to come with us if you want… we've never really traveled with anyone before. I'm sure we could use some more company every now and then"

"How about we go to Alikai together?"

"Sure" He smiled looking at Crystal, "What do you guys say?"

"We'd like that" Crystal smiled.

"Okay, you spend some more time with your grandmother while we run to give Sneasel these apples, we did promise her some after all" The trees are so small and hard to find though so we didn't get very much"

"Yeah, that's the Barsley Apple, they're near nonexistent but you can still find them around her if you look hard enough. Even harder though when they only grow in winter" She smiled as she looked at Lopunny, "Well, we should go back to Grandma's house and tell her the good news then call mom and dad. We'll see you when you get back"

"You got it" He smiled as they started walking down the street, Lindsy walking the opposite direction, "We'll hurry back as soon as possible"

"SNEASEL!" He yelled as he walked down the Route, "SNEASEL!"

"SNEASEL!" Crystal yelled as well, "WE BROUGHT THE APPLES WE PROMISED YOU!"

The yell caught them off guard as the man from before came rushing out the bushes at Jamie, "You're dead!"

Jamie pushed Crystal towards Lexy before jumping out of the way himself. The man skid to a halt and turned at him before rushing again. He seemed to be in a blind rage as he charged at Jamie over and over again.

"What happened to Sneasel!?" He asked as he continued to dodge.

"I sent her away, she wants to help someone that doesn't belong in our forest then she can stay away from me" He growled before he charged him again, "I came out here just for her, so we could finally be alone with no other humans to bother us, instead she decides to help one!"

"Because she knows the right thing to do, and that's let everyone have the freedom to roam their world. We live in harmony with Pokémon on the same planet, we have every right to walk through this forest" Jamie said as his anger took hold of him. Crystal was surprised to see the change in his aura, it went from a regular red to blood red in an instant, "And you don't deserve such a loyal friend if you cast her aside for having a heart"

"Shut up" He charged Jamie again.

Crystal thought he was going to dodge again but Lexy knew better when Jamie got like this. He did side step but instead of letting the man rush past, he kicked him in the stomach with the tow of his boot. The man doubled over, the wind knocked out of him and on the verge of vomiting from the kick to his stomach. Jamie didn't give him time to recover before drawing the same foot back and kicking him in the side to send him rolling across the ground.

"You stay down and stay the hell away from me and Sneasel from now one you piece of shit" He said as he walked away, "come on girls, we gotta find Sneasel in case she decides to do something stupid. Crystal, you'll head east and start moving South. Lexy, you'll head West and do the same thing. I'll go straight, we'll meet at the pool that feeds the creek"

They took off running while he walked away as well…. leaving the man sitting there, gasping for breath as well as still fighting the urge to puke. He didn't waste any more time as he past him and started running, yelling her name as loud as he could.

Jamie heard the crying as he followed the creek… it was a low cry but he could pick it up in the unusual silence of the forest. He followed it a few yards away from the creek bed until he saw the small black ball curled up and shivering under the tree.

"Sneasel?" He asked as he walked up to the form. It was her, and she had a heavily soaked for from what must have been hours of crying, "Sneasel… look at me"

She growled at him as he got down to his knees and reached out for her. She didn't want anything to do with anyone, which was understandable… the man she thought she knew cast her aside like he didn't even know her. He tried again but this time she swiped her claws at his hands.

"Jamie!" He looked to see Crystal and Lexy running to him but a simple hand gesture stopped them dead in their tracks.

He looked down at Sneasel again, she watching him now, with a look of pure hate. He was ignoring it though, the last thing on earth she needed was being alone. He reached out to her one more time but this time she didn't swipe at his hands or growl, she attacked him, driving her claws into his shoulders while she bit into his chest. He winced and gave a slight grunt but didn't stop her, instead, he wrapped his arms around her, feeling her cold body even through his jacket which was warm thanks to his own body heat.

"It's okay… I'm not here to hurt you or anything… you shouldn't be alone right now… not when something like that has happened to you" He said softly, closing his eyes.

He started humming as he stroked her back, doing what he used to do to his sister when she was upset and crying. It was working as she slowly withdrew the happenings of her attack until she started she was crying against him, burying her face into his chest, soaking his jacket as well as his shirt with her sadness. He didn't do anything more then hold her and comfort her as best as he could until she was out of tears and her throat was sore from sobbing.

"Here… let's get you cleaned up and taken care of" He said as she he got to his feet. She looked up at him and saw the smile as well as the spark in his eyes, that same spark that Crystal said she saw.

Crystal and Lexy followed him as he walked to the creek and sat down at the water edge, placing Sneasel in his lap before removing his backpack and pulling out a towel, he dipped a corner in water and started rubbing the dirt from where she had been laying on the ground. She just watched him with large eyes as he cleaned her fur and also washed the dried tears from her cheeks. When he was done, he rolled the towel and placed it back in his backpack before pulling an apple from the other big pocket and held it out to her.

"Here… just like I promised" He smiled as he held it out to her. She took it and looked at him, "Go ahead, eat it, it'll help you feel better as well as help your sore throat"

She nodded before slicing a piece of with her claw and putting it in her mouth. She smiled before taking a big bite of the apple. Jamie chuckled as she seemed to devour the apple with gusto.

"Wow… I've never even seen Jamie eat that fast after fasting all day" Crystal said as she looked at Lexy.

"I told you it'd make you feel better" Jamie smiled before she licked her lips and claws clean and hugged him for all he was worth, "I'm happy that you're feeling better"

"You two look so adorable" Crystal cheered making Sneasel fidget a little, Jamie blushing but thankfully it was hidden in Sneasel's neck.

"Easy Crystal… people said the same thing when your were a Riolu" He teased, "So Sneasel… since that asshole ditched you and proved he's unworthy of your company, would you like to join us instead?"

She pulled away and nodded vigorously before hugging him again even harder than last time. He smiled and hugged her before standing up and putting her on his shoulders where she felt a little odd but accepted the strange ride. He took Crystal's hand and they started walking away, the final rays of sunlight giving way to night.

"Well… I guess we go back to Rundam and sleep at the Pokémon Center one more night" He said as they continued walking until they reached the route and started walking it towards town.

He would often start playing with Sneasel, laughing when she playfully swatted his head with the back of her claws. They walked for quite a few hours until Jamie heard the same growl he had heard earlier that day. The man came out of the bushes, this time he was holding a large branch like it was a baseball bat.

"I can't believe it… you little bitch" He said as he looked more at Sneasel than at Jamie, "First you help him, and now you join him… None of you are worth your weight in piss"

Sneasel didn't know what was happening as she was suddenly in Crystal's arms while Jamie rushed forward, ducking under the makeshift bat as it whistled over his head before he placed a foot on his knee and climbed his body before driving his knee into the man's chin. Before gravity could pull him back down, he grabbed two fist fulls of hair and stuck his knees in the man's chest on the way down. The man went silent, gasping for air as well as out of pain. Jamie had broken ribs when he connected with the ground, the man's chest connected hard with his knees.

"You ever speak ill of any of these girls again and Arceus won't even be able to stop me from killing you" Jamie said, Crystal knowing he was only saying kill for effect, Lexy knowing that Jamie wouldn't kill him but would put him in the hospital, "Let's go… this coward ain't worth wasting any more energy on"

They woke up with a yawn, still huddled together in the little nest that was actually a bed until they climbed in it and cuddled together. Sneasel had taken her first look inside a Pokéball when they got into the room. Now she was joining Crystal and Lexy on giving him a nuzzle attack. HE laughed as they became relentless in their attack.

"Well girls… we ready to start a new adventure with a new friend, how might have accidently scratched my chest last" He laughed as Sneasel started licking at a claw wound on his chest, "It's okay Princessm nothing a shower won't fix, I promise"

Finally, I'm freaking done with this chapter, why did I have to make it so long, I think it's the longest chapter in this story. Ohwell… at leasthe has a new Pokémon in his travel family and a friend that starts traveling with him as well. Let's see some positive feedback you guys, and more to come.
