Soft voices woke up the dark haired Uchiha next to Naruto's bed. "Shh Sakura, you're waking him." Ino scolded the pink haired girl. Said pink haired ninja looked down. "Sorry, he looks so peaceful, but if Naruto wakes up..." Sakura stopped when said blond ninja chuckled.
Her head snapped towards the blond boys direction. Bright blue eyes were looking at here, a smile plasters on his face. "N...Naruto." The pink haired girl whispered shocked. Ino gaped at the blond boy. Then both she and Sakura threw themselves at the blond, embracing him tightly. "Oh, Naruto! You idiot, why did you do that? You could have been killed!" Sakura sobbed loudly, nearly crushing him in her hug. Ino stayed silent and just hugged him tightly, as if he was about to go into a coma again.
While the two girls were hugging their blond friend, the dark haired Uchiha sat up an proceeded to stare at the antics of his pink haired female and her friend Ino. "Hn, Good to see you back in the land of the living dobe." He said calmly, his usual stoic expression back on his face. Said dobe, glared at his teammate. "Shut up teme!" He snapped in a rasped voice. Sakura immediately let go of him, dashed to the wall an rammed a red button.
Within seconds a nurse and Tsunade came barging in. "Ino, air." Naruto gasped pleadingly. The blond haired girl let go of her friend and looked at him, tears in her eyes.
Upon seeing the blond boy awake, Tsunade rushed towards him and gave him a bone crushing hug. Naruto gave a pained yell and was released immediately. Tsunade pushed everyone out of the room and then proceeded to check up on the boy. "Well, it looks like you will be up and running in less than two weeks. You seem to be healing much faster now that you are awake." Tsunade informed her adopted grandson.
Said blond kid just nodded and smiled. "Good to hear, Tsunade- Sama." He replied softly. At this Tsunade stared at him in shock. "Are you feeling alright, Naruto?" Naruto nods and tilts his head, a habit he picked up from when he was within the Kitsune lands. "Yes, I am fine Tsunade- Sama, why wouldn't I be?" He asked confused. Tsunade stared at him, her eyes rolled back and then she fainted. Her body hit the floor with a thud.
Naruto looked confused, not sure what just happened. He looked up when a door opened. Sakura and Ino entered the room followed by Sasuke. Naruto pointed at the body of Tsunade. "She fainted." He said, still in a rasping voice. No one had bothered giving him water yet. Ino quickly moved past the Hokage and filled a glass of watter at the small sink. Then she walked to his bed side and helped him drink.
The cool water was welcomed allot for his soar throat. He gulped it down quickly, not caring if he would choke or not. When the glass was empty, Ino put it away and helped Sakura with Tsunade. The two girls dragged their Hokage to a chair and managed to put her in the chair. When they were sure that their Hokage was fine they moved back to Naruto.
This time they simply sat on a chair next to his bed. "Why did you do it? Why did you save that kid?" Sakura asked quietly. Naruto looked at her and frowned, then it came back to him. He got in this situation because he saved a kid from enemy Shinobi. Naruto sighed and looked at his pink haired team mate. "I had to, I couldn't just let him get killed. It is the duty of a Shinobi to finish the mission, no matter what the chances of surviving are. Our mission was to kill those missing nin and that is what we did. They would have gotten away if we were to busy with that bomb. I knew that I could save the kid if I did what I did. You guys were perfectly able to kill our targets while I saved the kid. I do not regret what I did, I saved the kid's live and we still completed our mission."
Sakura shook her head. "You shouldn't have saved him. You could have been killed." Naruto froze and glared at her. "I am not going to let innocent people get killed if there is a chance that I can save them. I can't just leave children to die, not if I can save them. It is my duty to protect those who cannot protect themselves. I could care less if I would have died while saving someone. At least then I died, knowing I did something good."
Sakura looked chocked, this was not what she expected to hear from him. Ino nodded. "He is right you know. I probably would have done the same. It is our duty as a Shinobi to protect those who need protection. Even if it costs us our lives. He saved that kid because he could do it while completing the mission at the same time. He did what he thought was right."
Sakura shakes her head. "No, Sensei ordered him not to do anything until he said otherwise. He ignored direct orders, he broke the rules." She said confident that she was right. "So I should have just let that child get killed and obey the order Kakashi- San gave me?" Naruto looked at Sakura with calm eyes, before the storm would hit them.
Sakura nods confidently. "Yeah, you should have let that boy get killed, the you wouldn't be injured." Naruto shakes his head. "Yes, and then I would also be worse than scum. Those who break the rules are scum but those who abandon their friends, their comrades and innocent children are worse than scum. They are lower than trash, lower than dirt."
Sakura stares at her blond team mate, not believing what he just said. Ino on the other hand just nods. "Sounds right, if you can save people then you should do it." She agreed with her blond friend more than she did with Sakura. "Hn, he broke the rules. The kid was not part of our mission, he should have left the kid to die." Sasuke looked stoic and stuck up as always.
Naruto bared his teeth and growled at him. "Shut up, Teme." He snapped, his eyes were blazing with anger. He averted his eyes and looked at Sakura. "Leave. Both of you are lower than dirt. You are not Shinobi material if you think that leaving people to die is the right thing to do. I can't believe I ever liked you, Sakura." His two team mates looked shocked. Both of them stood up. "But, Naruto..." Sakura started. "Leave!" Naruto growled at them, baring his teeth even more. Revealing razor sharp teeth and a pair of fangs.
The two left the room, closing the door rather loudly. Naruto flinched and rubbed his ears with his hands. "Naruto, you... you have claws and fangs and your eyes, what happened to them?" Ino looked shocked at the blond haired fox prince. Said prince tilts his head and lower his hands, to look at his claws. "Do you have a mirror?" He asks the blond girl softly. Said blond girl rummages through her pouch and pulls out a simple hand mirror. She hands it to the blond fox and sits back down.
Naruto hold the mirror up and looks at his reflection. His hair still has the blond golden color it always has. Only now his hair is longer than it used to be and allot more wilder. It brushes past his face, reaches past his shoulders and ends just above his hips. His eyes are sky blue with slitted pupils. His whisker marks are more defined and have a slight golden tint to them. His skin is smooth but pale from the lack of sunlight. His facial structure is a slight bit feminine, like it was in the demon world.
The blond boy lifts up a clawed hand and brushes his hair away. He touches his left ear. They have changed as well, his ears are more like that of an elf than that of a human. They are pointed and have a slight elegant curve in them.
Naruto sighs and lowers his hand. He puts the mirror down and looks at his hands. His nails are long, sharp and seem to have a light ivory color. The skin of his hands is smooth as well. Slowly he touches his arms, only to discover that the skin there is smooth as well.
The blond fox looks up and picks up the mirror. He hands it back to Ino, who puts it back in her pouch. "What happened to you, Naruto?" The blond girl asks softly. "I became what the villagers see me as. But I do not mind that, I am happy being what I am." The blond fox prince answered truthfully. Ino looked at him, guilt in her eyes. "Shikamaru and I visited a couple of weeks ago. He asked me to use mind transfer jutsu on you. I did it, I entered your mind." She admitted softly.
Naruto tilts his head and smiles softly. "Its okay Ino. I understand it if you are scared and never want to have anything to do with me again." He said calmly. Ino shakes her head, shocked that he would say something like that. "No, I would never abandon you, just because you are a Jinchuuriki. After I entered your mind, I felt a pull. I followed it and saw a room with a huge cage in it. You were in the cage, on the only dry spot there was. When I tried to reach for you a pair of big red claws prevented me from doing so. They seemed to protect you." Ino informed the boy.
Naruto nods and smiles calmly. "After that I was pushed out of your mind. I left with Shikamaru and told him what I saw. He said that it confirmed his suspicions. Then he told me that the Kyuubi no Yoko attacked on the day you were born and that the Yondaime Hokage sealed it inside of you. That's why the villagers hate you, the see you as the Kyuubi." Ino continued her story.
Naruto nods, confirming that he is indeed the Jinchuuriki of the Kyuubi. "Yes, Ino. The villagers are afraid. They only see the Kyuubi when they see me. They are afraid that the Kyuubi comes back. But I am only his jailer, I keep him locked up inside of me. But the villagers can't see that. They neglect the wish of the Yondaime. He wanted me to be a hero, for holding the Kyuubi locked up. Basically I am the only one who keeps the Kyuubi from escaping ans rampaging through the village. And if he escapes I am very sure that he will be pissed of at this village."
Ino nods. "Well, one of our Shinobi did seal him away." She said slightly understanding what Naruto meant. "Yes, The Yondaime did seal the Kyuubi away. But I don't think the Kyuubi attacked willingly. He could have been summoned and controlled to attack Konoha. It is is a possibility that can't be overlooked." Naruto said calmly. Ino looked confused. "But who would be strong enough to summon a demon lord?"
Naruto shrugged. "Not sure, you would have to ask Kyuubi- Tou sama. He knows more than I do." Ino looked shocked. "Tou sama?" She asked loudly. Naruto quickly places a hand on her mouth. "Sh, not so loud. No one can know I call him that." He whispers. Ino nods and he removes his hand, glancing at Tsunade. "She drunk sake last night didn't she?" He ask calmly. "Yeah, and not lightly either. We found her passed out this morning. I guess fainting after seeing you awake caused her to fall asleep." Ino answered thoughtfully. "Good, I rather not have her know it. She would freak out, telling me that Kyuubi tricked me." Naruto replied calmly.
He looked back at Ino. "I call him my Tou sama because of what happened after I saved the child." He started. "I woke up in the demon world, just outside the borders of the Kitsune lands." Ino stared at him, not believing what he tells her but she remains silent. "Kyuubi was in his fox form, not to large but not small either. About the size of a horse. We talked and then I found out that I was a fox demon as well. A gold blond fox to be precise with one tail. I was smaller than Kyuubi but still rather big. He slipped into human form, with nine tails and fox ears on his head. Then he heard something and slipped back in to fox form. We ran to his lands and enters the fox village. He challenged the seven tailed, who had taken the throne, into a fight and won. After that the fox tried to kill me, Kyuubi protected me and killed the fox. Then we went to the den and we changed in to human form. He called for a fox girl and she helped us getting dressed in a Kimono." Naruto looked at Ino. She gaped. "Kyuubi actually saved you? I though he was evil, wouldn't killing you free him?" She asks confused.
Naruto shakes his head. "No, he didn't know if killing me would free him or kill him. You see if I die he dies, but because of the situation he didn't kill me. He told everyone else that I was his kit." Naruto answered calmly. Ino looks confused. "Kit?" Then it dawned her. "O my Kami, he sees you as his son?" She asks shocked. "Yes, And to be honest I like it. He is not so evil as people say he is. He is actually quite nice. The children love him, the men and women admire him and he is a damn good hunter." Naruto chuckled at this.
"We had to hunt for food you know, there are no stores, no houses nothing. So if you want to eat you have to hunt for it. The first time I went hunting my prey was stolen by Sukuriyu. At my second try I mangled the body of my prey so bad I didn't even need to remove the fur when I started to eat. At first I thought it was disgusting but it tasted pretty good. A rabbit there is an animal but for us that rabbit would be the size of a grown man and a demon." Naruto explained.
Ino made a grossed out face. "I can't believe you actually did that. Though I understand it a bit, demons are allot different than we are." Naruto nods. "Yes, they are. A demon can have a mate to, but unlike a human a demon can have more than one suitor. You can get a suitor if one gives you a kiss on the hand or a gift. If you don't accept it then you have to fight them. If you do then you have a suitor. You can have multiple ones to, they protect you, amuse you and keep you company."
He chuckled. "Happened to me to. I didn't know all that yet and unknowingly accepted two suitors. Sukuriyu and Shigure. Though I like Sukuriyu more. Shigure brought me in danger when we went to hunt for a feast to honor my existence as Kyuubi's kit. During the hunt we were attacked by a boar demon. Shigure gained a second tail but he did it to show of. Sukuriyu was fatally injured and I healed him."
Ino stared at him. "You can heal?" She asks surprised. "Yes, sort of. Its called the Kitsune kiss. You kiss the person you want to heal and give him or her your chakra. That is what I did, I kissed him and healed him. Now normally when two demons kiss they are betrothed and both can't accept any suitors. Sukuriyu, however, understood that I wasn't read for that so he didn't accept me as his betrothed. Any way during the feast I had to leave because a demon neared our borders A small one, I only had to chase him of." Naruto smiled.
"Turned out it was Gaara. If he sleeps he gets send to the demon world as a red Shukaku. We fought and then I found out it was him. I took him back to the den Kyuubi and I shared and then went to get Kyuubi. He ended the feast and I went to say goodbye to Sukuriyu. We kissed, it didn't really mean anything yet, though I think I start to love him." Naruto sighs and looks at Ino, a small blush on his face.
"After that I went back to the den, Kyuubi entered and Gaara explained how I got into the demon world. Then I decided to leave, to go back here. We went to an empty clearing and I summoned my chakra. It hurt allot but then I woke up here. I reacted when you and Sakura entered the room. From there you know the story." Naruto sighed and looked down.
