Boys and gals! I give you chapter 9. Review, favorite and follow. xo
"Hello Emily." When Paige answered, Emily felt like Paige was prepared to run into her. She wasn't surprised at all.
"Funny running into you here."
"Hilarious" Em couldn't help her left brow from slowly rising up, as she questioned the girl in front of her. What the hell would bring her here? And after graduation?!
"What are you doing back in rosewood?"
"I came to get back what's mine." Paige said, too confident for Emily's liking.
"And what's that? Your pride? You sure as hell lost it when you ran out with your tail between your legs, the minute things got a little complicated."
"It wasn't my choice, my parents made me-"
"Cut the crap Paige. You were just scared"
"Like you weren't." Emily was practically crushing Paige with her words. So Paige felt like she needed to fight back and protect the glimpse of her pride that was left.
"You're right. I was petrified. The lives of my family and friends were on the line but you know what? I wasn't going to leave the people I love so I can get my tan on the beach"
People were starting to gather around the heated conversation between the two girls. Though they were pretending to do something so no one can notice them listening.
"I still love you. And I will fight for you"
"Save it. You sound even more pathetic when you say that." Emily crossed her hands over her chest.
When Paige could get clearer view of her fingers, she noticed the diamond ring on Emily's finger.
"Nice ring" Paige was definitely holding back tears.
"Thank you." Emily smirked. Just the thought of her beautiful, sexy, amazing fiancé that is waiting for her at home, gave her the courage to continue this conversation.
"Who is the lucky girl?" Paige asked.
"Oh, I think you know." Emily was anything but ashamed of being engaged to Alison. She knows she wasn't a saint. And probably isn't now either. But she had to admit that rubbing her relationship with Alison in Paige's face, made everything worth it.
"I get it now. It's her isn't it? That's why you're acting like this. She made you hate me."
"Don't flatter yourself. Ali didn't have to do anything for me to hate you. You did a great job at it all on your own."
"Well newsflash Emily. That girl will break you heart again. And I will be the one to pick up the pieces" Paige said, getting closer to Emily. But Emily didn't move, she didn't even change her face expression.
"You will be crawling back to me" Paige raised her right hand and made her way to caress Emily's cheek, but before she could reach her destination. Emily grabbed her wrist, hard.
"You are way out of your league, Paige"
"You even sound like her." Paige released herself from Emily's grip.
"Well, you know what they say about married couples; the longer they're together, the similar they get." At this moment, Emily was proud to act like the old Alison Dilaurentis. She was a strong person. And right now, Emily could use all the strength she can get.
"One problem Em. You're not married yet."
"Trust me. I've been married to that girl since the moment I saw her." Emily was squinting her eyes in Paige's direction. If she wasn't mad until now, she for sure is at this moment. Its one thing for Paige to come back after all these years, when she ignored her and treated her like crap, and to declare her "feelings" towards her. But to question Alison's love for her and to underestimate their relationship was just too much.
"When will you realize, that this bitch is-" as soon as that word left her mouth. Paige was met with a very angry fist that crashed into her nose. Everyone around them gasped. Emily didn't care that she was causing a scene in the middle of the grocery store. But she had enough of Paige's nonsense.
"Listen to me you little rat." Emily said getting closer to Paige as she was holding her bleeding nose. Paige was in a total shock, she didn't know Emily was even capable of hitting another human being. But as far as Emily concerned, her fiancé was the line for her. No one gets to talk about her like that.
"If you ever get anywhere near me, or my fiancé, I will break every single bone in your body with my bare hands. And you know what? I will enjoy it. Stay away, you psycho."
And with that Emily started to walk away, leaving Paige embarrassed and defeated for everyone to watch. Emily didn't even care about her groceries, she just wanted to get the hell out of there. But before she could reach the exit, she had to say one more thing to Paige. She was already quite far, so she had to raise her voice in order for her to hear.
"oh and Paige, just so you know. Every single orgasm you ever thought you gave me, was fake." And with that, Emily has left the store, but she could hear oooh's and awww's coming from the store. And one gay cashier yelling "you go girl" while snapping his fingers.
In that moment, all that Emily wanted was to get home.
She was so relieved when she got to her front door. But as she opened it with her key, her right hand was killing her. It was swollen and red and it was painful, she really got Paige good.
Alison heard the front door open and she yelled from the kitchen "Emmy, is that you?"
"Yeah, its me" Emily said as she kicked off her shoes.
"Oh great!" Alison said as she exited the kitchen and made her way to greet her girl. "Where are the groceries?" Alison asked confused.
"umm,"
"What the hell happened to you hand?!" Alison asked, not letting Emily answer her question.
"Okay before you freak out on me, just remember that it's not a big deal." Emily said getting closer to the blonde.
"What. Happened." Alison was already loosing her patience.
"I punched someone."
"What? Why would you do that?!" Alison held Emily's hand and brought it closer to her face so she can examine it and check for any serious damage.
"Wait let me get you some ice to put on it." they both made their way into the kitchen and Emily hopped on the kitchen island.
Alison brought the frozen bag of beans they had in the freezer and as soon as she attached it to her mermaid's hand she lifted her eyes to look at her as if she was encouraging her to start talking.
"I saw Paige." Emily said softly. Alison looked surprised, her eyes grew wide. It has been so long since she even her that girls name. "And she said mean things about you. I just couldn't control myself." Emily looked down and played with the frozen bag on her hand. She didn't even want to look at Alison because she felt like she was hurting her with the truth. "She called you a bitch, Ali"
"Are you crazy?! Babe if you punched every person that has ever called me that you would have broken your hand, multiple times! What were you thinking? You could have got yourself really hurt. Who knows what she is capable of?! God I am so angry at you and turned on at the same time."
"Well I prefer turned on Alison more than angry Alison." Emily smirked, although Alison didn't think it was funny at all.
"Look, I'm not sorry for what I did okay? She was way out of line and I wasn't going to just stand there and ignore the things she said. And honestly you can get mad all you want, because if I had a chance to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing."
Alison couldn't help but smile. She fell deeper and deeper in love with the brunette with everyday that passed by. She came closer to her girl and settled in between her legs, while putting her arm around her neck. "Thank you. For defending me. But that's the last time you get into a fight because of me."
Emily wrapped her hands around Alison's waist. Their noses touching.
"I wish I could promise you that." She leaned in to capture the blondes lips in her own as she felt Alison smile into the kiss. She felt like the luckiest girl on earth.
