Chapter 10

Olivia watched the sunrise. She smiled to herself. It had taken three days but she finally did it. She sleep through the night without having a nightmare or flashback. Fitz, it was because of Fitz. He understood her. He protected her. She was safe with him. She looked out over the balcony at the beautiful morning. Fitz walked out quietly not wanting to disturb her. "Good Morning, Beautiful." He put his hands on her shoulders, leaned down and kissed the sensitive spot by her collarbone.

"Hmm, Good Morning. "

"You slept well last night."

"I did. I haven't slept like that since the attack. Thank you, Fitz. I don't think I would have gotten here without you."

Fitz took her hand and knelt down beside her. "We are in this together. We are bound together. I would do anything for you." Fitz kissed her. "It's a beautiful morning. Do you want something to eat."

"I think I'd like to go for a swim again. Do you have any objections?" Olivia winked at him knowingly.

"No objections, but we should have breakfast maybe have a lazy morning first. We have to head back in a couple of days. I would like to enjoy the hide out while we can." Fitz picked Liv up carefully and carried her back into their bedroom. He placed her on the bed. Liv began to lift up his shirt and pull it over his head. Olivia had a one track mind this morning and while Fitz was glad that her demeanor seemed to be changing, he was concerned for her health. "Careful, Sweet Baby." Fitz whispered as he stood up and rid himself of his shirt and sleeping pants. He then joined Liv on the bed. "Is that better." He asked as the finally embraced skin to skin.

Liv traced lines up and down his chest. She stopped at the waistband of his boxers. "It would be better if this wasn't in the way."

"Livvie." Fitz let out a breath. "We've been over this. It's too soon. You need to heal."

Olivia didn't know what was happening. She woke up today and felt like a totally new woman. She spent the morning begging Fitz, in any way she could think of, to help her feel like a woman again. A week ago, she wouldn't have thought about have sex with anyone ever again. Grief and pain were her main focus. Today, the pain had improved immensely and her body was humming for human contact. She needed Fitz to use his superpowers to calm her body.

"I need to feel alive I need to be with you." Fitz careful moved Liv up against the pile of pillows on their bed. He began kissing from the top of his head down. Removing items of clothing as he went. He was happy to see that she had yet to put on a bra this morning and paused to press soft, sweet butterfly kisses on one of his favorite parts of her body. "

Liv began to moan as he focused on her chest and then moved down to her stomach. He paused and traced the fading bruises as he carefully kissed down to his destination. He paused in between her thighs and took a deep breath. "Soon, my love." Fitz smiled against her and slid off the bed.

Liv groaned. "Fitz." She wined as he put on his pants and left the room. He had been doing this far too often lately. Olivia wished that the doctor would clear her. She slept wrapped in Fitz's arms in little to no pain but they were still concerned what a sexual encounter would do to her healing process.

Fitz returned a short time later with two bowls of cereal and two glasses of juice. The spent the morning laying in bed kissing each other. Fitz gave into Olivia request after they finished Breakfast and the two of them took a bath together doing much of the same things they had done the first night the spent together. Once the water in the tub grew cold, Fitz carefully carried Olivia out of the tub and back into the master bedroom.

They didn't dress right away. Instead, they enjoyed each other some more making out like teenagers and Fitz laid Olivia out and look at ever glorious detail about her. She was perfect in every way. She watched him as he gazed lovingly at her. She would occasionally reach up and caress his body. She continued to fight the ever present feeling inside her and continued to plead with him. She needed him to give into her demands to make her feel like a woman again.

He finally did. He began by carefully caressing her as he kissed his way down to his preferred destination. He pushed the blankets away and inhaled her intoxicating scent. "Livvie, if it gets to be too much...tell me." He breathed out.

"Fitz..." She said his name almost in prayer. Olivia could feel the familiar heat building as she anticipated her lovers moves. Fitz began kissing her inner thighs. He was slowly and intentionally devouring her in his own brand of sweet pleasure. He was gentle but attentive to her needs. He was listening to every sound she made as he continued his menstruations. He heard no sounds of pain just pleasure. He was finally getting his Livvie back. He climbed up next to her and kissed her passionately. She had reached her limit. The dull ache in her ribs had returned. Fitz broke the kiss and gathered her naked form into his. He helped her ease the ache she felt for him by rubbing soft circles her back. He whispered sweet nothings in her ear, until sleep finally claimed them.

"You are running out of time boys." Rowan spit fresh blood from his mouth. "My people will come for me."

Jake looked at Huck and then back to Rowan. "Huck, are we running out of time?"

Huck paused for a moment appearing to give the question thought. "I think we have plenty of time. I think we should keep to our schedule."

"I completely agree. " Jake said as Huck held Rowan down for the next round of interrogation. "Who sent you to Liv. Who are you working for?"

"I work for the Republic. I keep everyone safe."

"Wrong answer."

"I don't believe in our President anymore. He is a dishonest man with too many distractions it is time for a changing of the guard."

"Wrong answer."

"He will come. I hurt her. I hurt him by hurting her. He won't be able to stay away. I know he is coming so you better tell him to come soon. I won't be here much longer."

Huck continued to land blow are blow. Something in Rowan's tone drove him to do as much damage as he could. Jake looked on this is sick SOB had gone far enough it was time to make a call.

OOO

Fitz and Olivia spent a lazy afternoon strolling the grounds. Olivia was happy she was able to walk almost normally again and the two of them used that to their advantage. The set out a picnic lunch by the lake and once again enjoyed their time together making out like teenagers. Olivia sat in between Fitz legs leaning against his chest. "This almost doesn't seem real."

"It's real, Livvie."

"I wish we could stay here forever."

"I could announce I'm not seeking re-election." Fitz mused.

"Fitz." Olivia warned. "You don't want to do that."

"I'd give it up for you. I've told you time and time again that. None of it compares to you."

"Fitz, you deserve to run and run clean. You deserve to win this one in the clear and that is what is going to happen."

"Are you going to help me?" Fitz shifted and looked into Olivia's eyes. "Are you coming on the campaign trail? Do you think you're ready. We could try to keep this going."

"Fitz." Olivia wanted nothing more than to do what he was suggesting but it was complicated. Here, in this place, in Vermont, they were Liv and Fitz. When they were on the trail. They were President Fitzgerald Grant and Olivia Pope. It was complicated. They needed to live in the here and now. Liv needed the here and now. She didn't want to think about tomorrow or the next day or the day after that. "We'll see."

Fitz leaned down and kissed her. "To be continued...Shall we walk over and take our swim or soak in the hot tub." Fitz smiled a devious smile and Livvie giggled. It caused a slight ache in her ribs but as Fitz scooped her into his arms and carried her to the pool house all was forgotten.

OOO

Lesley was concerned after talking to Jake. Fitz and Liv were finally get some normal and now this was going to disrupt their flow. She heard the door shut behind her and saw Hal carrying the blank and picnic basket. "Are they on their way back?"

Hal shook his head and shot Lesley a knowing smile. She let out a breath she was holding. "Let them enjoy it while the can."

"What going on?"

"Olivia's people figured out who leaked the pregnancy to her father. Jake just called and informed me that Rowan is spouting some very interesting stuff about his people coming to get him." Lesley paced around the kitchen. "If the President wants a few moments with Daddy. It has to be tonight."

"She's been doing so well with him here. I hate to see what it's like when he's gone.

I'll stay close by tonight." Hal said as he left the kitchen.

Simon approached Lesley. "Daniel and Mike are on falcon and Tom is making the travel arrangements. We are going back to our original group tonight, until morning."

"Thank you, I'll need to discreetly talk to the President when he comes back to the house."

"Yes, Ma'am."

OOO

Fitz laid Olivia back against the padded lounge and kissed her. "Are you relaxed after our afternoon of lounging in the pool, and Hot tub?" Fitz leaned in gently to kiss her lovingly.

"Very, thank you, Mr. President."

"You're Welcome, Ms. Pope."

Olivia pulled Fitz down next to her and kissed him again before whispering into his ear. "I smell like a pool and could use a shower."

OOO

Fitz walked downstairs. Olivia was upstairs resting after their shower together. When he came around the corner into the kitchen area he saw Lesley, Tom and Hal sitting around the island talking in hushed tones. "To what do we owe the extra company tonight?"

Lesley stood up and followed Fitz to the Fridge. Lesley put her hand on his wrist and he looked up into her eyes. "You know you could be arrested for that." Fitz joked.

Lesley offered him a half smile and let her hand slip back to her side. "I'll take my chances, Mr. President." Lesley shot a look toward Tom and Hal. "We need to talk."

Fitz pulled the food from the fridge and placed on the counter looking back at

Lesley. "It sounds like I need to be President for a few minutes."

"Yes, Sir. I'm sorry. I wish there were another way. You and Liv seem so happy. I'm sorry I have to bring the real world in to crash the party."

"No worries, what going on." Fitz sat down and looked to Lesley.

"I spoke with Jake. It seems our guest is claiming that he won't be around much longer. His people are coming for him. Jake feels strongly that they've flushed out all the B-613 agents loyal to Rowan but he can't be sure. He wants to move him inside. He wants to disappear him. Jake wanted to be sure to give the opportunity to confront Rowan before that happens. "

Fitz turned to Tom and Hal. "What's the plan."

"Transportation back to Washington is being arranged. We are planning to leave here at midnight. Arrival time is D.C. is two. You should be back here safe and sound with Ms. Pope by five."

"Okay, let's see if we can't move that up a bit. I'll wait until she's asleep then maybe she'll sleep through it and be none the wiser. "

"Yes, Sir." Lesley said slightly unsure of the plan.

Fitz looked at Lesley. "Is there anything else I should know?"

"Olivia's people found out how Rowan got the information about Olivia's pregnancy. " Lesley began cautiously.

Fitz stopped what he was doing and turned back to his Deputy Chief of Staff.

"How?"

Lesley sat down on the other side of the island. "Leo has been working with Rowan to get Sally elected. Sally has been going on for months about the moral corruption inside the White House. She didn't believe the Jeanine Locke cover so he started digging. Cy and I did a good job of covering it up and Liv's people were helping to but none of us knew about the pregnancy. Leo found a medical billing assistant in Liv's doctor's office. He paid her two thousand dollars for a copy of Liv's records. The test results were inside.

"What's happening to this person?" Fitz was seeing red.

"Liv's people are handling it. She won't be a problem."

"Good. Leo is that how her father found out?"

"It's looking that way and we know Leo is looking for Rowan."

"We need to be sure we can beat Sally," Fitz said walking toward the stairs. Lesley followed him.

With the lady upstairs on our side that shouldn't be a problem. Has she agreed to join us yet?" Lesley asked as she stood at the bottom of the stairs.

"She's still thinking about it. I'm working on it."

"How are you and Liv doing?"

Fitz smiled at Lesley knowingly. "We are fine . I'm not giving you details."

"I didn't say anything about details. I don't need details. I have my own imagination. I don't need any help thank you."

"It's a good thing. I wasn't going to help." Fitz teased.

Lesley reached out for Fitz. Yes, he was the President but he was more to her. He saved her life and if anything happened to him..."Fitz, promise me you'll be careful with Rowan. If Liv sees anything or suspects anything. It could set you both back."

"I'm not going to do anything but talk to him. I think he deserves a good talking to don't you. Besides I think our boys have taken care to make sure Rowan is properly disciplined for his actions." Fitz reached out and touch Lesley's cheek. "Don't worry about me. I'll be fine."

"How did you..."

"I know you." Fitz smiled as he turned and walked up a couple of stairs. Fitz turned back around. "Come and tap on the door when my ride gets here. Lesley turned and turned to walk away. "Lesley" Fitz watched her turn back toward him.

"Take care of her while I'm gone. I'll try not to be too long."

"Consider it handled." Lesley smile at him as he climbed the stairs walking back toward the master bedroom."

OOO

Fitz walked down the dark hallway in the basement of the pentagon. It had been a long night but this would be worth the long trip. He needed to stay focused on the goal. He needed to keep calm and focus on Livvie. His Livvie would be his saving grace while he was face to face with this monster. The agents opened the door and Fitz stepped in.

OOOO

Liv opened her eyes. The hallway was dark but she could hear voices in the distance. "I will kill you." You don't deserve her."

"I love her. I'm in love with her." Olivia felt her stomach drop. Fitz. It was Fitz and he was talking to her father.

"I will kill you." Olivia started running. She needed to get to Fitz before her father killed him. She couldn't live without him.

OOO

Rowan looked up when the door closed. Huck and Jake stood on either side of a bound and battered Rowan. "See boys, I told you he wouldn't stay away. The boy who loves my whore of a daughter can't stay away."

Fitz was seeing red but stayed quiet as he watched Jake backhand Rowan.

"Watch your tongue or I'll take care of it for you."

OOO

The hallway was dark as she approached her door. She was running as fast as she could to get to Fitz but the faster she run the farther away the voices became. Suddenly, She was back in the hallway she in front of her door The door was open and she could hear the voices. She walked through the door The room was dark. She walked to the switch be no lights came on. The voices were gone. A figure was looming large behind her but she didn't see him until it was too late. He forced her to the floor. She did all she could to protect herself and get away but it wasn't enough. She felt something hard hit her repeatedly. Twice as good...twice as good. twice as good. " She opened her eyes but didn't see anything. She could her someone saying twice as good over and over again and then she blacked out. When she woke up again she felt wet...she felt like she was burning. She couldn't move and she was laying in a sticky red substance. The figure was standing over her this time as clear as day."You should have aimed higher...but no you wanted to be his first lady...First Lady...the figure laughed and kept repeating First Lady. You can't even keep his child safe. He won't want you as his First Lady...you're not good enough. First Lady. The figure continued to laugh at her as she tried to get away from the pipe he was hold. It came down to her head and her world went black. When she came too again. Fitz was standing over her. "You shouldn't have come. It isn't safe here. Fitz knelt down beside her. "You need to go Livvie. Go get out of here before he comes back." A figure appeared behind Fitz and attacked him. He fell the ground, blood pouring from his chest. Olivia was frozen she couldn't move. She couldn't scream. She could just watch as Fitz bled out in front of her all the life leaving his body. Olivia closed her eyes. Willing Fitz, dead limp body to disappear. When she opened them again. He was still laying before her. He eyes were lifeless and her father was kneeling before her. "See what you've done. You've made me kill him. "First Lady. You wanted to be First Lady. What are you going to do now?"

OOO

Olivia rose out of bed with a blood curdling scream. She was sweating and she didn't know where she was. Lesley, Hal and the other agents came running. Olivia looked around the room in a blind panic. "Fitz!" Fitz. Olivia screamed. He's dead. He killed him. Fitz. NO! Fitz."

Hal and Lesley barreled onto the bed. They quickly grabbed a hold of Olivia as she continued to scream. "Olivia, calm down, Olivia fought them both. He's dead, He's dead! Lesley looked at Hal. He continued to try and get her to calm but was not successful. She carried on in such as state that she lost what was left of her dinner. "Oh, Fitz...I can't...I can't live. I can't survive.

Liv." Lesley knelt down before a distraught Olivia."Fitz, isn't dead."

Olivia looked up at Lesley with a serious look on her face. "Yes, he is. I just watch me father kill him. She was so distraught that she began to hyperventilate. Hal looked on as Lesley knelt beside her helplessly.

"We need to get her to calm down before she make herself sick again. " Hal said as he held the inconsolable woman in his arms."

"I'll sedate her if I have to." Mike call the team and get an update let them know the quicker they can get him in the air the better. Corrine I hate to ask but we need to clean this up. Lesley looked at the soiled sheets and blankets.

"I have kids, say no more. I'll handle it."

"Hal" Lesley rubbed Liv's back as she was talking. "We need to get her cleaned up.

"Liv, Hal and I are going to help you shower and change."

What am I going to do without him?"Olivia whispered as they walked with her to the bathroom.

"Liv, you are never going to have to find out. Fitz is alive and well. You had a very bad nightmare but I can assure you that Fitz is perfectly fine and should be on his way to you soon.

"He was here when I went to sleep. He left me."

Lesley helped her out of her pajamas and ran the shower. "Not, by choice. We are trying to call him now.

"You can't my father killed him."

OOO

"I saved him. I saved him from losing that big White House across town. It isn't his fault that my daughter can't keep her legs closed."

Fitz took a step closer. He leaned down to Rowan's right ear so only he could hear.

"I will end you for what you've done to Olivia. She loves me. I love her. The baby you took from us was born out of love."

"That spawn would have ruined both of you. I did both of you a favor." Rowan spat back. "You are a boy...you will never understand."

"Oh, I understand. You never intended for me to stay in the White House it wasn't part of your plan. You have Leo Bergen in your pocket. You decided I didn't deserve the White House because I fell in love with Livvie. It wasn't about saving my presidency it was about punishing us for falling in love."

OOO

He's not dead Liv, he had to go back to Washington. He left after you were asleep.

He was hoping he would be back before you even woke up." Lesley felt the water and she and Hal help Olivia step into the warm cascade. Lesley guided her to the bench and sat her down. "If I could get a hold of him and you could talk to him, would you believe me?

Olivia sat for a moment allowing the water to cleanse her. She nodded her head and Lesley turned to Hal, who quickly left the room on a mission.

OOOO

"You are a danger to the Republic. Sally will restore order."

"Why?" Fitz's rage was getting the better of him. "Why did you end our child's life?"

My daughter chose to be a whore but she deserves better. My daughter wasn't going to be subservient to a white man or his child. You are not worthy. You are a boy."

"You're daughter deserved better than to be beaten down to a bloody pulp by her own father!" Fitz grabbed at the jumpsuit and lifted Rowan up from the floor.

"You left her on the floor, bleeding to death. I should kill you for that."

"You will not end me. Cut the head off a snake a two grow back. Rowan looked a Huck and Jake. "You don't have the balls to do what you need to do."

"Watch me." Fitz threw him to the floor and turned to Huck and Jake. "Take care of it." Fitz said as he walked out of the room.

He looked at his agents The horror evident on their faces. "What's happening?"

Tom stepped forward with a phone and filled him in. "Hal hand the phone to Liv."

Hal stepped into the bathroom where Lesley was helping Liv wash up. He handed the phone to Lesley who smiled back. "It looks like you have a call." Lesley quickly help Liv finish and wrapped a warm fluffy towel around her before handing her the phone. She took the phone with shaking hands and spoke into it with an equally shaky voice. "Fitz?"

"I'm here, Livvie. I'm here. I love you sweet baby. I'm sorry about having to leave you tonight."

"It was so real Fitz. I can't do this without you. He comes into my dreams."

"I know baby. I'm on my way to you. I'm alive and I'm on my way to you. Hold on Livvie. Just hold on."

"I don't know if I can."

"You can. I love you and I'll be there soon." Fitz talked to Liv for another couple of minutes before disconnecting the call and turning toward Tom. "Get me to Andrews" Fitz ordered as he quickly walked away with his agents close behind.

OOO

Hal helped Lesley move Liv from the bathroom back into the bedroom. She had retreated back into herself and was curled up against Hal's chest. Lesley pulled back the sheets as they approached the bed. "No." Olivia said in a broken whisper.

"I can't. I can't go to bed until Fitz gets back." Lesley's heart broke at the helpless pleading of this strong woman. "Not without Fitz."

"Ok, Liv how about the couch in front of the fire."

Liv nodded and Hal walked over before gently putting her down. Lesley brought over a blanket to cover her and Hal helped her with the pillow. "I don't want to be alone. "

Hal sat down and pulled her against him. "You're not alone. I'll be right here with you until the President returns.

Lesley sat down next to them both. "I'm not going anywhere either."

OOO

Fitz walked across the lawn and into the house with one purpose in mind. Livvie. The agents were talking as he ascended the stairs but he was uncertain what they were saying. He walked into the master bedroom with conviction and headed straight for the love of his life. Hal heard him approach and silently transferred a dozing Olivia into Fitz's waiting arms.

"Fitz." Olivia whispered as Fitz held her close to his chest. She nuzzled further into his chest.

"I'm here Sweet Baby. " Fitz held her tightly against his body. He need to feel her against and She needed to know she was safe in his arms. "You're safe, now. I won't let anything happen to you." Fitz ran his fingers lovingly through her hair and kissed the top of her head. "Sleep now." He felt Olivia move deeper into his arms. She was safe and content.

Olivia opened her eyes, the fire had died but the sun had yet to rise. She could feel strong arms around her and smell the unmistakable scent of his after shave lotion. Her mind must be playing tricks on her. He wasn't here last night. She only remembered the nightmare and Fitz lying in a pool of his own blood. Liv moved slightly placing a hand close to his heart. She could feel its rhythmic beat against her palm. Olivia couldn't stop the tears for pooling and falling down her cheeks.

"Livvie?" Fitz woke and felt a wetness against his chest. He looked down to see his Livvie, silently crying against him. He drew her closer and held her. "Hey, no more tears. I am here. I am alive and we are just fine."

Olivia looked up at Fitz. "I am not fine." Olivia sat up and turned toward Fitz. "I can't sleep without you, I can't eat without you. I can't function without you. You left for six hours and I thought you had died. I couldn't breathe without you. I need you. He ruined me!"

"You're not ruined, Livvie." Fitz pulled her back against his chest.

"I don't feel like Olivia Pope anymore. I need to be a pit bull to run your campaign and I can't function unless you are in the same room with me."

"So I will be in the same room. I'll share meals with you. I'll share the same bed with you. We will make it work. We've made it work before Liv. I'll keep you safe. Come on the campaign. We'll be us again. We'll make it work."

"You're married, You're President and you're running for reelection." Liv wiped the tears away as new ones fell down her cheeks. "You can't be sharing a bed with me because I'm afraid of the dark."

Fitz reached up and wiped the new tears away. "You're not afraid of the dark." Fitz stood up and carried Liv to the bed. He placed her in the sheets and climbed in behind her. He kissed her and pulled the covers around them. "Let's get some sleep."

Olivia turned around in his arms. "I can't sleep yet. There is still so much I want to talk to you about some of the things I thought about while you weren't here.. I'm scared Fitz.

Fitz, propped himself up on his elbow and stared into her chocolate doe eyes. "Talk to me Liv."

"I realized we can't run forever. We can't stay here forever and neither one of us is truly healed. My father took away our dream and we have been ignoring that. I don't what to ignore it anymore. I want a subtle memorial to our child. I want it to be something we understand but the outside world wouldn't. "

"Did you have something in mind. Fitz asked now intrigued but the way Liv's brain was processing the events of recent weeks.

"An apple tree." Liv said simply. "It would have been the baby's birth tree." Olivia finished in a whisper.

"I think it's perfect." Fitz reached forward and brushed a strain of hair out of her face. "What else?"

"I don't know, something that connects us to the baby." Liv thought for a moment but before she could come up with anything Fitz leaned in and place a light kiss against her lips.

"Roses." He said simply. "Red roses."

Liv smiled up and felt a tear falling from her eye again. " perfect."

"I'll have Lesley make the call later. You'll be able to see it before we leave."

"Fitz we leave in two days. We need to get you back to Washington and ready for whatever Sally throw at us."

Fitz smiled at her again and pulled her into his body. He kissed her shoulder.

"Does this mean you'll be my Campaign Manager?"

"I don't know if I'll be the same as I was last time but I know I can't survive without you right now and I'd like a chance to redeem myself from the last campaign."

"Say you'll be my Campaign Manger and I'll keep you safe."

"You can't abuse your power."

"I won't be. You'll be my campaign manager thus you will fall under the Secret Services umbrella for protection. Fitz smiled an almost wicked grin.

"What about Mellie and Cyrus?"

"Don't worry about them." Fitz kissed the top of Liv's head. "They are my problem. They'll fall in line."

"Ok." Liv said through her exhaustion. "But I'll need a place to stay. I will not be returning to my apartment until I'm good and ready."

"Ok, consider it handled." Fitz pulled Liv toward his chest. "Now, I'm just as exhausted as you. Let's get some sleep and worry about the details later.

OOO

"Thank you for the call. We'll be in touch." Lesley hung up the phone and looked over a Hal and Mike. "It's done." Lesley walked over to the sliding glass door and watched as the gardener world on the memorial for Liv and Fitz's lost child. Fitz had knocked on her door shortly after Liv fell back to sleep in the early morning hours. Lesley was pleased that Liv seemed to be starting move on with Fitz. She made the call as soon as she was able and now it was early afternoon and the gardener was hard at work. Fitz and Liv were upstairs spending there last full day together lounging around.

"That was Jake. Rowan has been moved to his new home without incident. It will be some time before he is able to see the light of day from his deep dark hole. If ever."

"Let's hope never." Hal offered looking on at the work taking place outside.

"Agreed, President Grant wants all of us to get together and brainstorm about where Olivia might be able to stay for the foreseeable future. He needs to be able to have access to her and she to him without blowing the campaign or Mrs. Grant finding out."

"Tom has talked to Huck and he is updating her security system when she's ready to return to her apartment. " Mike offered moving into the conversation.

"The place has also been professionally cleaned." Tom offered.

Lesley sat down on the nearby sofa. "Glad to here that but I don't know if or when she'll ever be ready to go back there. I know I wouldn't be able to go back."

"She needs the President by her side." Hal said as he sat across from Lesley looking up at his colleagues. "I can only think of one place that we can control that will give her exactly what she needs. Blair House.

"Brilliant. Corrine said as she joined the conversation. "We only use it at night, late and we move them using the tunnels, no one will be the wiser. "

"Mrs. Grant might have a problem with it."

"I sure she won't once Fitz lays down the law. It's a whole new world folks." Lesley said as her phone rang."Rowan Pope was trying to tear them apart what he did was bring them closer together." She added before picking up the phone.

OOO

Fitz held Olivia chose against his chest as they sat in front of the warm fire. "Today has been nice." Fitz commented as he rubbed Liv's back. "Is there anything else you want to do here before you leave. "

Liv looked up and smile. "We still have a day. I think a private swim and a nice bath by candle light with a bottle of wine might be nice. What do you think of that idea Mr. President?"

"I think I'm beginning to see the old Olivia Pope emerge and it's nice to see her again." Fitz smiled and pulled her towards him. He kissed her lovingly. "Welcome back, Livvie."

"I am not back. I am forever changed but I love you nevertheless. " Olivia leaned against they were brought from there world by a tap on the door.

Fitz moved to get the door. He opened it and found Lesley on the other side. "Lesley, is anything wrong?"

"No, not really, I was wondering if I could talk to you and Olivia about some recent developments." Fitz face fell a bit but stepped aside to allow his Deputy Cheif of Staff in. Olivia pulled the blanket in around herself as Lesley and Fitz came and sat down with her on the couch.

"What's wrong?" Olivia said, her voice was once again small.

Fitz pulled her against his side. "Nothing's wrong." Fitz kissed the top of her head. "Lesley, has some information for us."

"First of all I just got off the phone with Jake." Lesley watched as Liv tensed up at the mention of his name. The reaction did not go unnoticed by Fitz, who held her closer. He would have to ask her about that at a later time. "Your father has been moved and is being held."

"He can't hurt you any more sweet baby." Fitz whispered. "He's been moved away and he doesn't know where you are." Fitz turned to Lesley "That's not the only reason you came up is it."

"No, I talked with the detail and they have set a plan in motion for Olivia. Cyrus called a yakked at me about not hearing from us. I assured him that we are alive and fully briefed on current events. He's adamant about putting a poll in the field before Sally's announcement on Wednesday.

"That's not a bad idea at least we will know where we stand." Olivia offered. "I'll call Abbey and let her know to contact and work with Rhoda."

Fitz stared down at the love of his life with the biggest grin. He looked at Lesley and said simply "Meet our new Campaign Manager.

"It's good to have you back." Lesley smiled. "This next thing may not make both happy. Cyrus wants to have a photo bite for the Tuesday evening news. The four of us, now that Liv is officially working with us, arriving at the White House."

"How can we do that Cy doesn't know we are all together or where we are." Olivia was getting alarmed. "I can't do this. I can't go back, I can't function without Fitz around."

Relax Livvie, we'll figure it out." Fitz reassure her and held on to her tight. She wasn't about to start pacing in her condition.

"We already have." Lesley offered. Step one of the plan to get you up here was to tell the press that you were at Camp David. Cyrus, thinks you are there. I talked with Cy and arranged for a war room campaign briefing before Sally's announcement on Wednesday. He's coming Tuesday afternoon at four. We are arranging to Leave her tomorrow afternoon. You will enjoy one night together and alone at Camp David in the cabin of your choice.

"Not Aspen." Liv sat straight up and looked into Fitz's eyes.

"I wouldn't dream of that Livvie. I know how you feel about that." Fitz caressed her cheek. "We have our own place there."

What about returning to D.C.? Olivia's arrangements?" Liv, looked perplexed.

"Huck has updated her security system. She doesn't have to go back but if you want to Olivia you can. Huck, assures me you will be safe."

"I have no doubt but I can't be without Fitz right now. A fact that Mellie will not be pleased with."

"I told you not worry. I'll take care of Mellie. She's not going to be with us until at least the weekend she can't fly yet. The infection hasn't cleared. yet.

"I hear she's on her second round of meds." Lesley offered.

"Yes, Liv's going to need a place to stay that I can access without anyone knowing I'm there."

"I will not, I cannot jeopardize this campaign. It will have to be good."

"It is. The team here is working out the details with the proper people back at the White House. Olivia will have a detail assigned when we return. They will be putting you both in Blair House. The tunnels will help with movement and we can control the security." Lesley said putting two folders in front of Olivia and Fitz. The blue one outlines the plans for D.C. The red one, has Cyrus VP shortlist. I know you have other ideas of your own but look it over to make him happy.

Olivia watched Fitz face fall. "We know who you want but he'll be a hard sell to Cyrus because frankly it's not a smart choice electorally. Olivia leaned forward reached for the red folder. "We'll look at this together and talk about. Right now let's enjoy our last day and half here."

Fitz took the folder from Olivia and placed it on the table again. "Let's go for that swim." Fitz kissed Olivia lovingly. "Lesley, is that all for now."

"Yes, except to say that the service is working on our transportation for tomorrow afternoon and the landscapers have just finished. Lesley smiled at her friends "If you need anything you know where I'll be."

"Thank you, Lesley, for everything. Olivia said. "I know last night was not what you signed up for."

"It's fine, Liv. I'm a doctor and your friend. Don't worry yourself. Rest and enjoy your day.

OOO

The next morning Fitz was up early drinking coffee on the balcony with the folder of Vice Presidential picks in his hand. Olivia was still sleeping and he didn't want to wake her yet. He set down his mug and flipped the page to the next choice on the short list. After a swim, soak in the hot tub, and a make out session in the shower. Olivia and Fitz spent the late evening hours, after dinner, in deep discussion about who he wanted as his V.P. Andrew Nichols was Fitz's choice and it was not up for negation. Olivia discussed the downsides with Fitz but understood his choice. It still didn't feel right to her but if Andrew Nichols is who Fitz wanted, it was who he was going to get.

"Fitz." Olivia called out softly from the bed. Fitz stood and brought the folder and his coffee cup inside. He put the down before climbing back into bed with Olivia.

He wrapped his body around hers and kissed. "Good morning, my love."

"What time is it?" Olivia leaned into his warm body.

"Time to get up. I'm sorry but we still have a couple of things to tie up here before our ride to Camp David.

"I'm still not sure if I am strong enough to walk across the South Lawn."

Fitz got out of bed and leaned down to gently pick up Liv. "We will work it out together. Right now, you need a shower, clean, comfy clothes, and breakfast. Fitz carried her into the bathroom and continued to outline their day. "We are leaving in three hours and there is still one thing will need to do together. Liv nodded knowing what he was referring to.

"I want to leave that as the last thing before we leave."

Fitz sat Liv on the bench next to the tub and ran the water. "I had the same thought." He undressed and help Liv do the same. Fitz picked Liv up when the water was ready and walked into the tub with her in his arms.

OOO

Fitz and Liv came downstairs dressed and ready to face the day. He carried Liv out to the porch and left her on the swing with a wool blanket wrapped around her. "I'll be right back with coffee.

She nodded and smiled. She enjoyed the crisp, fresh air and reveled in the warmth of the blanket as well as the coffee cup that he handed her moments later, upon his return. He sat down with her and drew her into his side. He placed a croissant in front of her. "Thank you."

"Anything for you." He kissed the top of her head. "The team is busy packing up. Marine One will be here in ninety minutes. "

Olivia sank farther into his embrace. "I'm not ready to leave here. I know we have to but I'm not ready."

"I know." Fitz looked out at the vista in front of them. I promise you. We will come back here, soon. When the doctor give you the okay. Where ever we are we will make it up here again and we will make new and painless memories here in our house."

"We will try for another baby?" The words left Olivia's mouth before she thought better of it.

"When you are ready. We aren't a fairytale anymore, Liv. We will happen. I don't have to run."

Olivia sat straight up and pushed through the pain. "Yes, you need to. I didn't convince you to run again so you could throw it away again. You deserve to run and win on your own. You deserve to run the way you want to run. This is the last time. We will wait."

"I would give it all up for you." Fitz looked at her with serious, yet sad eyes.

"I know." Liv whispered

"I'm not waiting four years, Liv. We will be together I promise you. I know my promise seem empty at times but not this time. We lost so much. I don't want to wait any longer than we have to."

"We will discuss it after the campaign is over. I need you, now and forever so I hear your promise and we will make it happen together.

OOO

Olivia and Fitz rode down to the memorial. They hadn't seen it yet and they were in awe when that walked toward it. Olivia fell to her knees in front of the apple tree, surround by red rose bushes. The magnitude of what happened finally hitting her. Fitz stood beside her, he rubbed her back trying to calm her. He had a difficult time keeping his own tears at bay.

They could hear Marine One in the distance. Fitz knelt beside Olivia taking her small body in a warm embrace. "I'm here sweet baby. " Fitz continued to quietly console her until she regained some composure. Olivia could feel wet tears fall against the back of her neck. They were both crying.

"I didn't realize how much I was holding it. Olivia reached forward and run her hand over the stepping stone under the tree. It read: We will never forget our precious little angel. "Did you? Olivia looked up at Fitz.

Fitz nodded and wiped his own tears away. "We are the only one that will ever truly know what it means. " Olivia smiled a sad smile as Fitz stood up, extending his hand to help her up. "Our ride is here."

"I don't want to leave."

"I don't either, but our little angel will always be with us, Liv. In here. " Fitz touch his heart and then hers. "It's time to go." Fitz picked her up and carried her back to the golf cart.

Olivia did not have the strength to walk, when they reached Marine One, Fitz scooped her up in his arms and stepped aboard. Lesley followed and watched as Fitz placed Liv in a seat next to his and buckled her in. "I'll cuddle with you after we take off. Do you think you can hold on that long?" Fitz said as he kissed her on the forehead and sat down buckling himself in. Olivia nodded and continued to stare out the window as they left the ground.

OOO

Olivia and Fitz enjoyed their time at Camp David. Cyrus arrived on Tuesday afternoon. They all sat on the patio at Aspen and discussed what would be happening the next couple of days. "Liv, are you sure you're up to this you look, exhausted.

"I'll be fine, Cyrus." Olivia leaned forward and reached for the folder. She grimaced a bit. "This is the poll we have in the field?"

"Rhoda has it out now, it will be completed and complied by morning."

"Liv, Fitz stepped up next to her chair. He had been watching her closely for the last hour and she was slowly slipping away from them. "I think you may need to lie down for a bit. You've done a lot this afternoon."

Olivia twisted around and looked at Fitz. The pain was clearly written on her face.

"We leave soon, we still need to discuss the V.P. I'll be fine."

"No, Liv, you need to rest before we leave . You've done too much." Fitz nodded to Hal, who left and returned with a wheelchair. Fitz picked her up and placed her in it. He kissed her on the forehead and whispered that he'd join her soon."

Lesley, Cyrus and Fitz watched her be wheeled away. "She's so weak." Cyrus said to no one in particular.

"She's one of the strongest people I know. " Fitz mused. He sat down and stared down his Chief of Staff. She's been to hell and back Cy. She needs our help. She needs my help."

"Cyrus stood up and began to pace. "Sweet mother of... You're sleeping we her again! You're going to what...shack up with her now?"

Lesley came over to Cy and attempted to calm him down. "You need to hear us out Cy. We've all put a great deal of thought into this. Olivia is not one hundred percent and we all need to help her." Lesley stared into Cyrus eyes and looked over to Fitz.

"You have a choice to make, Cyrus. You can help us, help her or you can stay out of the way while we do it ourselves. " Fitz's look could kill. "We have a plan. you will get on board or stay out of the way.

"What about the election?"

Lesley stepped in. "No one will ever know what were are doing to help Olivia."

Cyrus turned to Fitz. "What about Mellie?"

Mellie, is my responsibility. She will get on board, if she wants to stay in the White House and you, you will stay away from my wife where Olivia is concerned. Are we understood?"

"Yes, Sir." Cyrus stood still looking out over the grounds. "I had no idea that she was this bad."

"No one did." Fitz whispered. "Are you on board?"

"It's Olivia, of course I am. Good, let's discuss the V.P. slot." Fitz said as he walked back inside.

OOO

Fitz watched Olivia toss and turn in her sleep. He pulled off his sweater and took off his shoes before climbing in to the bed next to her. He wrapped her in an embrace. She stilled almost immediately. "l love you, Livvie."

"Fitz." she muttered in her sleep.

"Hush, Sweet Baby, get some sleep." Fitz kissed her neck and fell asleep beside her.

OOO

Fitz stirred first and the woke Olivia. "It's time to get up." Fitz said as he kissed. "Do you need help getting dressed?"

Olivia sat up gingerly, stretching slowly before smiling at Fitz. "Yes, please, Mr. President."

Fitz had walked over to their garment bags and began get their clothes out for the trip home. "Don't you dare, Mr. President, me Miss Pope. We could be very late. Fitz said shooting her a knowing grin. He went into the bathroom and came out moments later in his Navy Blue pin stripe suit. He wore a white shirt and Liv's favorite blue tie. She smiled as he came to stand before her by the bed. "Do you like what you see, Livvie?"

"You look very handsome Mr. President. Let me fix your tie." Olivia reached up to straighten his tie as she finished she brushed her hand over the flag pin on his lapel.

Fitz covered her hand with his. "You will always have my heart Liv. I will always be by your side. You have nothing to be afraid of. We. Are. In. This. Together. Fitz brushed a stray tear away from her eye. "Let's get you ready." He picked her up and carried her into the bathroom.

OOO

Fitz and Liv joined Cyrus and Lesley a short time later. Olivia was wearing her black pants with signature white blazer and white coat over it with black flats, a gift from Fitz, as she wasn't ready for her signature heels just yet. "What did we miss?" Fitz asked as he guided Olivia to a nearby chair. Lesley and Cyrus stopped their discussion upon their arrival.

"We were discussing possible outcomes of tomorrow's announcement." Lesley said while reaching for her coffee.

"What did you come up with?"

"They are all equally bad." Cyrus said as he collected the folders on the coffee table and placed them in his bag. Marine One will be here in twenty."

Liv gasped.

Fitz turned back to her."What the matter?"

"I need to be able to get off of Marine One. I haven't been doing a lot of stairs lately."

"Don't worry," Fitz knelt down beside her. "We'll figure it out."

"It's taken care of." Cyrus said sitting on the coffee table in front of Liv and taking her hand. "I'll be in front of you. Lesley is going to be behind you and You'll have your agents on either side. It's six steps. The last one is the steepest. Hal will be ready to help. It will be fine."

"Down should be easier than trying to go up." Lesley said as she joined the group.

Fitz can take of you hear since there won't be any press. "

Fitz smiled at her. "See it's taken care of."

Liv nodded. "It would seem so. Cy, what happened to you?

"What do you mean?"

"You were the one telling life wasn't a romance novel and now look at this. Mellie is out of the picture for at least ten days and you are helping Fitz and I shack up."

Cyrus stifled a laugh. "You've been through hell. I've seen the devil and I would appreciate he not return or take residence in our white house. Although, Leo Bergen seems to have moved in I don't intent for it to be a long term deal. I need you on our side Olivia Pope and I need my President to have his wits about him. You need each other to get through this election. You need him to help pull you out of hell. You two are better at this when you are together than apart. Who am I to argue with what works?"

"Leo Bergen, is working with Sally?" Olivia whispered.

"He moved in last week. I thought I told you all. Cyrus asked, looking around at Fitz, Liv, and Lesley.

"We've been a little busy with everything." Fitz admitted.

"Fitz, we can't do this. Not like we planned. I can't survive..."

Fitz took Olivia's face lovingly in his hands. "look at me." Olivia continued to melt down. "Look. At. Me. "Olivia stopped at the firm but loving tone. "We can do this. We will do this and no one will be the wiser. The Secret Service is in charge of your protection. If

Leo Bergen wants to throw fuel on this let him. In the end, he and Sally will be the ones that have egg on their face, because we will get the Secret Service to outline why you are staying where you are staying." Fitz leaned in a kissed her forehead. "Okay?"

Olivia nodded and whispered "Okay."

The group could here Marine One approaching. Lesley looked out the window.

Cyrus looked at them. "It's time."

Fitz stood up and gather Olivia in his arms. It was time for them to face reality.

"We still need to talk about Jake." Olivia whispered as they walked to the golf cart.

Fitz was confused. "Okay, tonight?"

"Tonight." Olivia agree as he put her down.

OOO

This was the scene earlier today as President Grant and his campaign team arrived at the White House. The President and his Chief of Staff Cyrus Beene, are seen here arriving at the White House with Deputy Chief of Staff Lesley McGarry and Washington insider Olivia Pope, who we learned today will once again serve as President Grant's Campaign Manager. This on the eve of what is expected to be an historic announcement from Vice President Sally Langston. The Langston Camp has been tight lipped about the content of the announce but many inside the beltway expect the Vice President to announce she is resigning from her post as Vice President. This surely is not the way President Grant wanted to begin his campaign for a second term but only time will tell just what exactly Vice President Langston will say tomorrow.

Fitz turned off the Television as he approached the bed. He handed Olivia a glass of wine as he climbed in beside her. "Why exactly do they speculate if they don't know what exactly to speculate about?

"Welcome to Washington, Mr. President." Liv said in a teasing tone as she sipped her wine.

Fitz nuzzled against her neck. What have I told you about that Mr. President Business, Missy?

Liv giggled as he nibble on her neck. "Oh, Fitz... truce... too much...truce...my ribs can't take it." Fitz relented and gathered the love of his life in his arms.

"How do you like you're new accommodations?" Fitz asked

"It's not Vermont but it'll do for now."

"For now?" Fitz teased.

"I can't stay forever. I would like to get back to be able to live on my own. I need to know that I can do that for myself. "

Fitz pouted for a moment but understood where she was coming from. "I hear you but you have to do what the Service tells you for now. "

I know I'm worried that someone loyal to my father will find me and finish the job. I know Jake has been helpful to you these past few weeks but I don't entirely trust him. He was trained by my father and he know what buttons to push on those that he's trained to get them to do whatever he needs the moment he needs it. "

"I hear you Liv but for now he's on our side. I trust him with my life and his guarding my biggest secret. He's the only one I trust to guard that grave. If I want to stay President, if I have any chance of winning, those things need to stay buried."

"I know ." Liv held onto Fitz for dear life, as she's done every night they've been together since the attack. "I love you."

"I love you too."

OOO

He was confused. He had lost any sense of time. He had no idea how long he'd been here. He needed to see daylight, surely it was almost time. He heard the creek of the door first and then saw a sliver of dim light, He could see a silhouette through the bars. The heavy door was lifted first, then the grate, finally, he was being lifted free of his prison and carried away to freedom. "It's time to go, boss."

"Took you long enough. Have you found the person I asked about?"

"Not, yet but we are getting close." The man shoved his charge into a trunk.

"Sorry about this it's the only way."

OOO

Lesley was awoken by the sound of her cell phone, an hour ago, now she found herself running through the West Wing entrance and to the Oval Office. "He's waiting for you. Lauren said as she turned the corner into the outer office. Lesley paused for a moment to catch her breath before entering the Oval.

Fitz was standing, staring out the window into the Rose Garden. Lesley shut the door. The sound didn't seem to rouse him from his thoughts. "Mr. President."

Lesley walked across the room to join him next to the window. "Tell me it isn't true. Tell me he made a mistake. Jake made a mistake when he called you this morning. Tell me this isn't tell. Tell me I don't have to tell Olivia that her father is no longer locked and can't hurt her...hurt us anymore."

"It's true. I wish it weren't. I wish this was some kind of a bad dream but it's not. it's true. Rowan has escaped."

"She's going to come in here with the poll numbers soon, what am I supposed to tell her. How am I supposed to tell her. How is this not going to set her back."

"Tell her the truth." Lesley put her hand up on his shoulder. "Then you tell her that you love her and that you won't let anything happen to her. We won't let anything happen to her. You help her through the pain and anger and then we find him and put an end to the terror he has caused you both."

OOO

"Thank you, Yes. " Olivia continued to talk as she leafed through the polls. The air in the room had changed but she couldn't place it. She looked up and saw Mitch and Hal standing in the room. Corrine and Shane walked in shortly after. "You've done wonderful work as always. We will be talking to you soon. Rhoda. Yes, of course I'll be sure to let him know. Thank you again." Olivia hung up the phone and looked up at the group of Secret Service agents around her. "When Fitz told me I'd have protection I didn't quite envision it being this close. Could you all give me some space?" Olivia stood up and went to the door but Shane stood firm at the exit.

"What's going on?" Olivia asked as her heart rate increased this certainly wasn't how she expected to start her day.

" Security sweep, Ma'am."

Hal stood at the side looking out the window. Olivia could feel the mood in the room shift. "I see. How long will I be in here with you lovely people?"

"It shouldn't be much longer, Ma'am." Corrine offered evenly, "we know it's a busy day." Olivia looked down at the poll report and began review it again. She slowly and methodically made her way toward the one agent she trusted. The one agent she couldn't help be noticed was both preoccupied and very quiet. "Ma'am."

Corrine spoke up again. "I'm going to have to ask you to stay away from the windows."

Hal looked up at his colleagues voice. He noticed Olivia moving toward him. Olivia looked over at her and smiled a sad smile. She moved slightly away from the window but continued on a path to get closer to Hal. "What is going on?" Olivia asked in a calm even whisper. Hal listened intently to his radio and didn't answer her right away.

Hal brought his sleeve up and spoke into the mic at his wrist. He looked a Olivia for moment and then guided her to the door. "We are all clear, Ma'am the President is waiting to see you. If you would please follow me." Olivia was stunned by the professionalism that the team displayed as they walked from the conference room down the Oval Office. The stopped short of the outer office and took a side door Olivia had come to know all too well.

Hal guided her slowly through the door. "Hal, stop." The detail stopped and Olivia put her hand on his arm. "What is going on? We are two hours away for Sally's announcement. You are all smothering me this morning and now I'm standing in the Rose Garden. I don't have time for this.

"Ms. Pope...Olivia, you need to make time for this."

"Okay, I'll make time but you need to answer one question for me why are you all so close to me this morning?"

"We are following orders Ma'am. I think it best you ask the President to explain it."

"Okay then, Olivia made her way back to the door, "let's go ask him."

"He asked that you wait here, Ma'am. He is on his way. I think you know the way Ma'am." Hal winked at her."Would you like some help getting there?"

"No, thank you." Olivia was still perplexed as she made her way to their spot. They hadn't come here since being back and Olivia couldn't help but wonder why she was headed there now.

OOO

Fitz solemnly made his way to the spot where he knew she would be waiting. He didn't want to ruin their spot for them but he didn't want to have this conversation inside the White House either. He wanted to make certain that she still felt safe at Blair House so that wasn't an option either. He saw her sitting on the bench that they had shared so many times and he approached her silently. "I can hear you." Olivia said in a whisper without turning around.

Fitz wrapped his arms around her from behind and lifted her up off the bench. "I guess I need to be more quiet next time." Fitz kissed her softly on the lips.

"I always know it you. I can feel you. " Olivia said as they broke the kiss. She could see the concern in his eyes. It was mixed with something else. Was it fear? What was he afraid of? "Fitz, what is going on? Where are you taking me? Olivia asked as he carried her to another place in the garden.

"Livvie, I...do you know how much you mean to me? I would do anything for you." Fitz said as he placed her down on a bench on the outer most part of the garden. "You own me Livvie."

"Fitz, you're scaring me." Fitz sat next to her and drew her against his side."

"I don't mean to scar you. I need you to know that I love you. I love you and I won't let anything happen to you."

"What's happened?" Olivia looked deep into his eyes. She knew something was the matter. She needed him to know that no matter what it was they would get through it together." We are in this together. No matter what." Olivia said with conviction.

It was a conviction that she hadn't displayed in a long while and it hurt Fitz that he's next statement would likely take it away. "Livvie."

"Fitz just tell me. Please just say it."

"You're father is missing. He escaped for custody early this morning." Fitz gathered Olivia safely in his arms and held as she shook. The shock of what he had said to her finally sinking in as tear cascaded from her eyes. She began to hyperventilate. Fitz held her and spoke soft sweet reassurances in her ear. "Liv, Livvie, breathe baby, just breathe. Fitz took her hand as he shook and put it against his heart. "Breathe with me Livvie. He felt her calm a few moments later."

He looked up at him helplessly. "How can this be happening again?"

"I don't know, Sweet Baby? Fitz stood up and knelt down beside her with her hands in his. "I don't know but I need you to hear me when I say this, Fitz tilted her chin up and looked into her eyes. "We will find him."

"I'm not safe until you do?" Olivia stood up and began to pace. Fitz could see her struggling with her pain. "He's going to kill me. I need to leave. I'm not safe. " She turned her back and Fitz stopped her movement by wrapping her in a firm, loving embrace.

"You are not running. You are safe here. No one will hurt you. What is it you say to your gladiators "Over a cliff." Fitz turned Olivia around in his arms. "It's handled I will...We will go over a cliff for you."

"Fitz you need to concentrate on the campaign."

"I can only concentrate on the campaign if you are here with me. I need you as much as you need me. Olivia I know this is scary but we have the best people looking for him and we will find him and he will pay. We are in this together. We will get through together. "Fitz looked deep into her eyes.

Olivia quickly got lost in his eyes. They were a stormy shade of gray but she could only see love and she could feel the protection that she had come to rely on from him. They would get through this together. "We are in this together." Olivia said as she wiped her tears away.

Fitz knew her world was once again crumbling around her. He could only hold her and offer his love and support and that his what he intended to do until his last breath."We are in this together." Fitz affirmed as he drew her into a kiss.
