"I didn't realise I wasn't talking to you," Severus said coldly. "Please notify me when you decide of this again, Lily."
Lily rolled her eyes. "It's because I was talking to Potter again, isn't it?"
Severus shrugged. "It might be."
Lily grinned. "Are you jealous of him?"
"He's a prat, Lily," Severus snapped. "I don't know why you waste your time with him."
"I only talk to him to tell him where to go," Lily assured him.
Severus shifted. "Huh, really?"
"Really."
They sat in silence for a few moments more.
"Lily?"
"Sev?"
"We'll be best friends forever, right?"
"That's a very girly question."
"Just answer it."
Lily moved forward and pecked his cheek. "We'll be best friends forever."
