We got to the villa. Ruby hadn't spoken to him since he had brought up school.
So, list of things not to bring up.
Promises.
Norman.
Scars.
School.
And he was sure that this list would get a whole lot longer.
"Ruby?" he asked quietly.
Ruby looked at him. "Hm?"
"Is there anything in particular you wouldn't like me to bring up?" Steven asked cautiously.
"No."
Steven doubted that. He smiled. "Okay."
Ruby smiled back.
Steven unlocked the door.
"Wow! This place is amazing!"
"Yes, it is nice, isn't it?" Steven agreed.
"Have you stayed here before?"
"Of course not" He chuckled.
"What?! You bought a villa without knowing what it was going to look like?"
"Absolutely. I didn't have time to come here before, and if I had been here before I could have had skarmory fly us here."
"Oh… yeah."
Steven chuckled. "Well, I suppose that it wouldn't be a good idea anyway. Hopefully I will find some new stones and carting them back could become troublesome if we didn't go back by boat."
"Good point."
Steven sat down on the lounge. "Sit with me?"
Ruby nodded and sat next to Steven.
"I am going tomorrow to have a look at the cave, you can stay here if you would like to rest up."
"I wanna go with you. I don't… want to be left alone…"
He smiled. "Well, we will scout together."
Ruby smiled back. "Thank you for taking me."
"It's all good. I just wasn't sure how you felt. It's a lot colder here than in Hoenn."
"It's nice. I think so anyway."
Steven smiled. "Yeah, it isn't too bad, is it?"
"We should live here" Ruby smiled. "Your place here is amazing, and I think I really like it here."
Steven chuckled. "We can stay here as long as you like."
"Please?"
"Of course." Steven hugged him and kissed the top of Ruby's head. "I am gonna shower and have an early night. I want to leave early tomorrow morning."
"Ugh, really? We just got here."
Steven chuckled. "Well, I came here for work, not a honeymoon."
"Steven…" he sighed. "Okay."
"Sorry Ruby."
"It's okay. I really want to spend time getting to know the area."
"You have plenty of time to do that."
"I want to do that with you."
"You are too precious" Steven decided.
He blushed. "Steven… you make me feel so shy."
Steven wished Ruby would stop being so damn adorable. He wanted to kiss Ruby. Ruby looked so beautiful and right now he was tempting Steven by wearing those black shorts he had brought that showed off his beautiful, soft, white thighs. Steven wanted to touch them, run his hands up them. He wanted to press his hand under Ruby's thighs, push his legs apart-
He blushed. No. That was perverted. He was shocked that he could think something like that!
"Steven, are you okay?"
"Yep. Just tired" Steven lied.
"How about we lie down together?"
"Sounds good" Steven agreed. He was feeling a little lightheaded.
"Good" Ruby smiled. He grabbed Steven's hand and practically dragged him to the bedroom. "I am so excited to be here. It's amazing! This whole villa is amazing!"
Steven chuckled. "Oh Ruby-"
"Wow! The bed is huge! I am still sharing the bed with you right?"
"Of cour-"
"Yay! Wow! This place is beautiful." He leapt and landed on the bed. "It's so comfy! Steven, join me" he grinned, looking up at him.
Steven nodded and took his suit jacket off.
"You can't lie in those pants and shirt! They will get crinkled."
Steven sighed and rolled his eyes. "Okay Ruby."
He chuckled, unbuttoning Steven's shirt and pulled it off him. He reached up and pulled Steven down on the bed. He lazily lay down on his arm and hugged him. "I love you" he yawned. "I am so tired…" he closed his eyes and drifted into sleep.
Steven smiled. Ruby was so peaceful. Well, when he was asleep. When he was awake he was playful and slightly seductive.
Steven kissed his forehead. "Sleep well, Ruby." He carefully moved his arm and walked to the kitchenette. He yawned. He felt tired, but he did have paperwork to complete…
He prepared a mug of coffee. He didn't want to do paperwork. He would have been perfectly content lying in the bed with his ruby-eyed beauty. Oh well… later. Now he had paperwork to do for Devon Corp.
