What the bloody hell grabbed me?!
I was in some shitty dark room and I couldn't see a thing. Naturally, I took out my wand and lit up the room. It was any normal room. Walls mossy, floor cold, not a single presence in it but me. Then I noticed something peculiar. A quick wave around my area revealed what I feared. Gas was coming from a vent in the ceiling. I could feel my friends tugging me towards the door but I was already losing myself. I blanked out and came upon a rather gruesome scene.
I couldn't feel my own body. I could only think on my own free will. Bodies littered the deck of a ship; they looked like they had been cut down by a skilled fighter. I heard a Frenchman laugh behind me and the body turned around. Frog! I ought to give him a good beating for whatever he did! The body rushed forward towards Frog and he met the blow with a quick block from his flimsy rapier. "Ha, Frog! Your skimpy sword is nothing compared to my great broadsword! You should have given up before you even left the dock!"
"Non! I refuse to give in when there's still a monster like you in the world!" Wait, Frog may joke with me and call me the black sheep of Europe, but he would never downright call me a monster! "You acted this way even in front of your colony! It's your fault he turned out so scared to even speak!" What? I did no such thing to America I was a kind and loving father!
"Ha, the pathetic whelp is just scared to discover his true potential! Why, if you let me head back peacefully to the Americas I can teach him the art of the sword like he was meant to learn!" He's- No wait, is it me? Maybe I'm talking? Well, whoever it is is talking like America is still my colony! "I've had him in my control for over three hundred years I should've taught him long ago!"
"He's just a colony! He's not meant to take on countries like us in sword fights, or participate in raids on ships. He was just a place for your people to settle, trade, and make money! He may be strong and thriving but if he dies it'll take much longer for him to heal! He needs independence!" Just from the mere mention of the word I felt queasy.
"Independence? Independence is a myth! He needs me more than I need him and he knows it! I made sure of it. He learned humility well. He practically grovels in the dirt whenever I walk by, the worthless sack of pig dung." Why am I saying these things? I was only this greedy and rude back in my delinquent days! "Let me pass or I'll mow you down."
"You mean like you did to so much of my crew?"
"Exactly." Their swords clashed and before I knew it I was in the Americas, still in this ruthless body.
"H-Hello England! Welcome home I hope you had a nice trip!" America? I don't understand his glasses were smudged like the region of Texas was just a piece of land. Nantucket was slightly crimped. America bowed as much as he could before continuing, still facing the dirt. "The population has been slightly rising. Spain is slowly advancing on the south-west border. We've had too many casualties -" Weird. He stopped. Usually America always voices his opinions.
"Chin up boy, the population is rising and if you fight well we can get you more space too." The other me tipped America's head up with his sword pressing into his neck. "You're starting sword training tomorrow, no excuses."
"I- Yes, sir." He honestly looked like he wanted to object so badly I desperately tried to intervene.
"Stop! You're hurting him!" I shoved myself between the sword and America's face, hoping the other me would notice.
"I wouldn't have done that if I were you. And it's sad since I am you, just different." He was staring with triumph behind me and I spun to see what he was staring at. There was America, a gash on his neck where the sword was before I ripped away from its spot.
"I-It's okay, sir. It's only a little scratch." He stopped to hack up a large amount of blood. "I know I haven't been in the best of health lately with our tight living quarters, but I'll be fine."
"Hm. Good boy. I was almost worried there for a moment." America stood, a placid smile on his face as the other me left. As soon as he was out of sight America collapsed to the ground and started vomiting.
"I know you're there, but I know you're different." It took me a while to realize who he was addressing. "I know you won't hurt me and that was an accident. You truly wanted to protect me and I thank you, but I beg you never treat anyone as harshly as he does me. I had dreams, but they were crushed long ago. I have sword practice tomorrow; I must go see the town medic." Without another word he stood up shakily and stumbled off to a house. This was a complete nightmare. I could never do that to anybody… I woke, my heart feeling like it was going to burst out of my chest. I will never treat anyone harshly again. Only the snidest of comments but never any harm meant. I will control my emotions. I walked calmly towards the door and opened it. It seems it was recently unlocked. I will not kill the person behind this, but I will share my lesson.
A/N: Three in a day jump for joy people! This one's pretty long to make up for Germany's. I just want to get this done. Reviews appreciated!
