Long ten minutes passed by in complete silence, Kim was trying to entertain herself with her Kimmunicator, opening and closing tabs over and over, she wanted to feel less uncomfortable focusing her attention in anything but Shego.
A deep sigh came from the woman next to her after the fifth time the redhead closed the calendar tab.
"Turn that off, you're getting on my nerves" the older woman growled, she was staring at her companion by the corner of the eye.
The brunette's voice caught the hero's attention who finally turned off the damned device.
"Sorry…" Kim mumbled as she put the Kimmunicator back into her cargo pants. Shego rolled her eyes slightly exasperated. "Uhm, is Momo Go already discharged?" she asked, expecting to make some conversation between them.
"I don't know, may be" Shego answered dryly.
Silence.
"Oh… ok. Aaaaand will your brothers be there?" Kim tried again.
"Yeah, probably" the older woman cut again."Hey, you wanna grab a bite before we get home or you rather eat over there?" Shego spatted, the younger woman shrugged, taken aback by the aggressive attitude of the brunette "I'm not that hungry either"
After what felt like a year the girls finally arrived to the Go Manor, Shego passed the main entrance and continued driving to the back of the house, she parked the Porsche inside a garage and as soon as the engine went off she turned to Kim briskly.
"So, she's going to be okay, right" Shego said quickly, it wasn't a question… was it? Kim was at first shocked by the sudden action of the older woman but immediately her gaze soften and a smile took over her lips.
"Of course she is" the redhead continue smiling as she got out of the car, Shego nodded and entered the house through the back door which leaded to the kitchen where several couple of eyes watched nervously as the newly arrived passed by.
About 6 people where in the kitchen, some of them went back to their activities after nodding slightly at the brunette and a few more just stood there frozen, Kim smiled politely as they walked. As soon as both women left the kitchen a young woman approached them, Kim recalled the girl from the first time she visited the Go Manor, she was the one who handled her the bathroom objects.
"Good day Miss Shane" she greeted, the thief nodded at the younger woman.
"Hey Amy, how is it going?" she answered with a half smile, this surprised Kim slightly.
"Your brothers will be home soon, they went to pick up Madame Go about an hour ago"
"Good..."
"Your room and the guest's are all done and ready for you, also I prepared some coffee in case you were tired from the trip"
"Be a dear and send some to my room 'kay?"
The younger woman nodded and disappeared inside the kitchen, Shego kept walking until they reached the huge staircase, both women walked in silence. The place was so quiet and so big that every footstep they took echoed in the house. They reached the door of the room where Shego's cloths were, Kim headed to the picture hanging on the wall and smiled.
"It's a nice picture, is this your father?" she asked as she heard Shego's footsteps behind her.
"Yeah, we had that picture taken a few days after the meteorite" Shego was now standing next to the redhead staring at the picture as well with a nostalgic smile.
"Where is he now?" Kim asked turning her gaze towards Shego, who shrugged and sat on the bed. She let herself fall on her back and stared at the ceiling.
"He's gone, after that picture was taken the effects of the meteorite began, he wasn't as lucky as we were. The radiation affected him so badly that in a matter of days he was gone" she explained still looking at the ceiling above them, Kim bit her lip and laid beside the thief. She rested her body on the side so she could see the woman next to her.
"I'm sorry" the redhead mumbled.
"It's ok we had him for a long time" she chuckled and rested on her side as well, facing Kim "It's funny though, I've never spoken about my father with anyone aside of my family" the redhead smiled and without noticing she was caressing her companion's arm with her fingers, but Shego didn't seem to care actually she was enjoying the contact.
"Tell me more about you" Kim mumbled tracing circles with her finger, Shego watched the movements and half smiled.
"You know everything about me, I believe GJ handed you my files, didn't they?" the younger woman shook her head and looked straight into the brunette's eyes.
"No I mean, what's your favorite drink? Or your favorite restaurant?"
"Why princess you're taking me on a date?" a smirk spread in Shego's lips locking the redhead's attention upon them, Kim stared intently and without being able to stop herself, she closed the distance between then and pressed her lips against the thief's.
