Chapter 10

"Why is Lucy eating here?"

"A-ahh, Miss Juvia," I stood up from the floor I was sitting on, "I don't think I should be eating with you guys so I just stayed here…"

"Lucy doesn't need to stand up. Juvia wants to talk with Lucy so Juvia thinks it's better if she and Lucy would stay there." She smiled as she pointed to empty chairs and an empty table.

"A-ahh, okay…" I followed the bluenette. "What do you want to talk about, Miss Juvia?"

"Didn't Juvia tell Lucy before that there's no need for her to say 'miss' every time she calls Juvia?"

"Oh, sorry, Mi—I mean, Juvia… it's because it doesn't seem right when I drop the honorifics…"

She smiled at me, "So, how is Lucy as Gray's PA?"

"It—it's okay…" I sorta lied. Being with him is like heaven, I tell you, but dealing with his attitude is… yeah… not really heaven.

"Gray is not really good at treating other well, Juvia thinks Lucy already knows that… but Gray is actually generous, so if he sometimes raises his voice to Lucy or anything like that, just think of it as all the stress he's been taking in…"

I observed her as she told me those words. Even though Gray doesn't show affection for her, she still admires him. I thought she would try to ask me things such as what does he like or what's his next schedule, but no. Instead, the innocent girl told me that my boss is really nice.

"Even though Gray is very crabby at times, Lucy should just be patient with him. Juvia somehow feels that Lucy can actually withstand Gray's temper." She laughed.

At that moment, I began liking her. But not that way! I mean, I began liking her as a woman. Ever since I met Gray, I thought all actresses and actors might actually be like him or Loke. Then because of Juvia, I saw that not all are like them, some are kind on and off cam. In her situation, she may look kinda unapproachable at first, but then she's really kind!

We continued talking and laughing about showbiz matters until, "Lucy!"

"Oh, he's calling me. I have to go, I'm sorry Mi- I mean, Juvia" I smiled at her as I ran to my boss' tent. "Yes, sir?"

"Why were you just there? You should've stayed here so I won't call for your name everytime I need something!"

"S-sorry, sir."

"By the way, I don't want you talking with Juvia a lot."

"S-sir? But why? She's really nice and—"

"Ugh, why can't you just do what I say? Why are you so stubborn?"

"Is it because I don't have the right to be friends with someone of her level? Is that it, sir? O-oka—"

"It's not that." He cut me off, "It's because she might get information from you about my next projects or whatever, that girl might stalk me! You don't know it but there were times wherein she was where I was. Ugh, that girl really has her connections!"

I mumbled, "Maybe those were just coincidences. Isn't he getting too full of himself?"

"Did you say something?"

I waved my hands, "No sir!"

"Okay, let me rephrase what I said, if you wanna be friends with that stalker, go ahead, for all I care. Just don't spill out information about me, even how my house looks like or the road to my house, or anything like it."

I nodded, "I promise!" I raised my right hand.

He chuckled, "What the hell is that?"

"This?" I looked at my hand, "Oh, this has become my habit; I do this when I keep my promises…" I brought my hand down.

He tch-ed and shook his head. Seconds later, his phone rang. "Answer it."

I did what he said. "Sir, it's Sir Lyon, he's asking for you." I handed him the device.

At first, he was annoyed while talking to his friend, but later on, his face turned pale, "What?! Why didn't you tell me immediately?! I'm going there." He stood up, put his phone in his pocket, took his coat, and left without saying a word.

I was left dumbfounded. What just happened?

I have been working for him for almost two weeks and I am quite used to his attitude and all, but lately, I can't seem to keep up with what's going on in his life.

After the break, the director called everyone. "Where's Gray?" he looked at me.

"I—umm, he left without telling me where he's going so I don't know, sir…"

"What?!" he looked so furious, "That guy really gets on my nerves!"

"S-sorry, sir…"

"Will you quit saying sorry and just find him?!"

I nodded and tried to call my boss but he kept on turning off his phone, "Di-director, he's turning my calls down…"

"What about Erza?! She was here earlier, where did she go? Have you tried calling her?"

"N-not yet, I—"

"Then what are you waiting for?!" he groaned as he looked at me as if I was an idiot.

I was trembling as I faced the director. He was so scary, but what made me really scared was my boss' fury because I've been calling him again and again though he's turning it down. The director kept on shouting and everyone was looking at me. Juvia, Miss Mira tried to calm him down and Loke and Miss Cana helped me contact Gray, but it was no use. I felt so humiliated, but I can't do anything since I really don't know where he has gone off too…

Just as I was losing hope, Lyon came to the shooting place and saved me, well actually, he just explained what happened. Apparently, Wendy needs him just why he just left.

"Is what Lyon said true?"

"A-ahhh, y-yes… H-hi J-Juvia…" I saw him blush.

"Juvia is worried about them, please bring Juvia to Gray."

"I-I don't think it's a good idea, the director is already angry and I don't think he would like if you would also leave…"

She sat on a bench, "Lyon is right… ugh, Juvia is frustrated, she can't do anything."

"It-it's okay…" he sat next to the girl and tried to comfort her, "I'm sure Gray knows that…"

When I heard that, I was worried about Wendy, but at the same time, I realized how Gray really loves his sister, fleeing off to her when she needs him, though he doesn't think of others when he does those things, just like what happened today. I was so tired of following him, and so shamed that I can't defend myself.

After 5 hours, my boss was still not back. Because I still felt bad about what happened earlier, I called the guy that I knew could make me feel better. I told Natsu what happened and in just a blink of an eye, he came to the location and cheered me up.

"You didn't have to go here, Natsu."

"It's okay! Besides, this place is just a ride away from our place."

I smiled and then looked down.

"Don't worry about it anymore, Luce…" he sled his hand on my back.

"I-it's just that, I really felt so bad… I was so embarrassed…"

"You should've shouted at him also and told him 'how many times should I tell you that my boss left without saying a word?! Are you a moron or what?!'" he joked.

I laughed upon seeing his gestures. "You know I can't do that."

"Of course you can't, you're too kind to everyone, even to those whom you shouldn't be kind to…"

I was about to say something but just as I was about to open my mouth, Lyon came to us, "Lucy, someone wants to talk to you." He handed his phone to me.

"Who is it?"

"What do you mean who is it?!" then of course I recognized his voice, "Who would call you besides from me?! And why can't I call your phone?!"

"S-sorry sir, I-I tried to call you but you weren't answering."

"Now it's my fault?!"

"N-no, sir! I was also actually talking to-"

"I don't need your explanation! Why haven't you followed me earlier?! Come here in the Master's mansion, now!"

"But w-what about the direc—"

"Is he the one paying you?"

"O-okay, sir. I'll be there right away!" I gave the phone back to his friend.

I stood up and fixed my clothes.

"Where are you going? To him?"

I nodded. "Come, let's leave together. The way's same as yours anyway." I reached my hand out to him.

He sighed and then shook his head, "I think I'm still going to check something out. You can go ahead."

"What? Are you sure?" I cocked my brow.

He beamed at me, "Yup! Romeo asked me to buy him something on my way home, don't worry about me, just go."

"O-okay…" I said even though I feel like he was lying.

He told me before I go, "Just don't forget to take care of yourself."

I smiled, nodded, and then left him there.

"What are you doing here, Juvia? The director's looking for you."

"O-okay, Miss Mira." She smiled as she left the place from where she watched the two best friends talk.
