Title: Bloody Betty
Main Characters: Mitch, Jerome
Setting: Spawn City
Summary: Part of the final battle from My Last Hope chapters 49 and 50 that wasn't included in the main story.
Third Person POV
Mitch and Jerome rush toward the approaching army. Jerome wields two diamond axes, two betty's, while Mitch draws an iron sword leaving his bow strapped across his back. Together they take down mob after mob after rogue after rogue. They find themselves surrounded in the chaos of battle. They stand back to back.
Jerome blocks a sword meant for Mtch. Mitch derails an arrow aimed at Jerome. Jerome slices the betty's through several of Brine's forces. Mitch parries a blow and kills the dealer. The cycle repeats.
"Dammit," Mitch winces.
"You alright, buddy?" Jerome calls as he cuts down another opponent.
"Fine," Mitch lies through gritted teeth. His previously injured shoulder throbs as he defends himself from an incoming sword. The attacker, a female rogue, spots his weakness. She exploits it. Mitch cries out as her sword catches his shoulder, reopening the healing wound. The sword is raised to strike again.
"Get down." Jerome pushes Mitch out of the way and parries the blow.
"Woah." Surprised Mitch loses balance, falling to the ground. Jerome stands over him, defending them both. The rogue gets the upper hand when she knocks a betty out of his hand. Mitch struggles to his feet only to get knocked down again when a zombie kicks his ankle.
"Fuck you." From his prone position Mitch drags his sword through the zombie. Successfully cutting it's legs off. The top of it lands on Mitch. "Gah." He kicks it off, stands up, and cuts it's head off for good measure.
The force off the rogues sword sends betty crashing back into Jerome's face. The rogue rips betty from his grasp. She then spins around and lodges betty into the bacca's neck. Jerome collapses.
"Jerome!" Mitch cries out. "Fluffy!" An arrow pierces his back. "No!" Tears well up in his eyes. The rogue rips betty out of Jerome's neck. Then she strikes out against Mitch with a bloody betty. Mitch blocks her assault. "No! I won't let you get away with this!" He attacks blindly, flailing his sword wildly. The rogue easily knocks the sword from Mitch's hands. He leaves betty imbedded in Mitch's forehead, splitting his brains.
