AngstyYaoiFangirl- OMG GUY I'M BAAAAACK! Lets get going with a new chapter for HEART COMPLEX!
Usagi's POV
I was standing next to Nowaki as his phone rang.
"Hello, this is Nowaki," I heard him answer the phone.
"Nowaki, it's Hiroki," I heard the slightly muffled voice come over the phone.
"OOHH, HIRO-SAN, I'm sorry, but I can't talk right now. We just discovered that Misaki snuck out of the hospital, and we're trying to find him, can you keep an eye out for him?"
'Good idea,' I thought. Having somebody already on the outside could make it easier to track down my Misaki.
I glanced over at Takahiro as Nowaki talked to Hiroki.
My best friend was on the phone in serious discussion with his wife Manami and was trying to explain why he wouldn't be able to come home now and that he was in fact trying to arrange for her and Mihiro to come down here.
After discovering Misaki's disappearance Nowaki had asked for the hospital to go on lockdown, and made it so that you had to have some form of ID to leave.
They had already searched through every inch of the hospital for him but still we could not find him, which made us come to the conclusion that he had left the hospital.
We had been about to call police to search for him-
"SNAP!"
Startled out of my thoughts I looked over at Nowaki, who had just gotten off the phone with Hiroki.
He looked me in the eyes and said seriously, "Apparently Hiro-san has found Misaki at the old park near the flower shop. He is in pretty bad condition. We need to get to him now."
'Thank God he's been found!' Was the first thing to run through my mind. All of a sudden though, another doctor that I recognized to be Dr. Soubi ran up to Nowaki, panting heavily.
'
"Kusama-Sensei! Our patient from 3 days ago, Mister Tanner, just died!"
"I'm sorry to hear that! Is this the same Tanner from the accident?" Nowaki replied sadly. I was getting agitated, we were just standing here while my Misaki could be suffering somewhere, but the doctor who had come up to us seemed to have something that he needed to say.
"Yes! Though the thing is that all of his organs are still good, except for his brain, and he stated in his will that he's an organ donor!"
When I heard this I jumped into the conversation, "Wait, does that mean that his heart is
also usable!?"
Nowaki, getting a grasp on what we were saying spoke up, spoke up, "We can save Misaki-Kun without you giving your life Usami-San!"
"Well we can't do the surgery with Misaki not here, we need to go get him!"
"Wait is Misaki not here?!" Dr. Soubi asked, confused
.
"No, he escaped when he thought that Usami was going to give his heart."
'Damn it! We don't have time to be standing here gossiping about this! I need to get to Misaki ASAP!' I thought, and while Nowaki started to explain to the other doctor about Misaki's disappearance, I slipped away unnoticed and ran for my car. However, when I got there I saw that there was a flat in my tire, most likely from when I was driving here earlier.
'SHIT!" suddenly I saw out of the corner of my eye's an ambulance parked! I ran over to it and, to my luck, saw that the door was unlocked and the keys were still in the engine. So I hopped into the vehicle. I turned the key and the emergency vehicle sprang to life. I was starting to drive and as I did I switched on the sirens, thanking God that I had done research on these things for a novel of mine and, from that, learned how to work them.
I gassed the vehicle until the speedometer read 110 mph. I didn't have to worry as much about crashing though because, thanks to the sirens, the cars in front of me parted to let me through. In fact, I think if I had been driving like this using my car, I probably would have either crashed or had police on my tail.
Because I was driving extremely fast, it took me a matter of minutes to reach the old park. I quickly spotted Hiroki and, to my distress, saw him giving Misaki CPR!
"Shit! Something must have happened!" I drove right up to them. Hiroki jumped up with Misaki in his arms, panicked that I was going to run them over.
I opened up my door and jumped down, not caring to explain to Hiroki why I was driving the ambulance when I saw his confused and surprised face. I ran to the back and opened the doors and yelled at my friend, "QUICK, BRING HIM HERE!"
Hiroki, finally realizing what was happening, ran up the ramp and placed Misaki on the gurney.
"Akihiko we need to hurry, his pulse has disappeared!" My friend said to me and my eyes went wide. Giving myself completely to my instincts, I jumped back into the front seat as Hiroki closed the doors and then we began the race of a life time. I drove at such a high speed that the speedometer started to crack. Hiroki was shouting at me to slow down, but I ignored him and just kept going, reaching the hospital in about two minutes. I parked the ambulance abruptly right as Nowaki came out of the hospital. He looked at me as I jumped from the ambulance with a very confused and shocked face as I helped Hiroki unload Misaki from the back.
Nowaki, finally getting over the extreme shock, went into the hospital to get some nurses to help, yelling out cold blue.
The front turned into a frenzy as they all rushed out and took Misaki from my care, rolling him into the hospital.
"Dr. Sobi can you and some of the other nurses go and prepare that heart everyone else get ready for a heart transplant.
As soon as he was gone into the ER, I collapsed at the entrance from exhaustion, the adrenaline rush gone. Takahiro and Hiroki ran up to me and helped me to a bench.
"How did you do it Usagi?" Takahiro asked me breathlessly.
"Do what?" I asked, tired.
"Well, after Dr. Nowaki told Dr. Soubi about Misaki's escape, which took about 8 minutes, we realized that you had disappeared, so we ran outside to look for you to find you unloading Misaki from an ambulance."
"AND WHAT WERE YOU THINKING, DRIVING AT SUCH A RECKLESS SPEED?!" I heard Hiroki shout at me.
"My instincts took control and I had to do everything possible to get Misaki back….I had to save him."
(No POV)
After Usagi said that the three men were quiet for a while until Hiroki broke the silence again.
"You know, I never imagined the day would come where you and I would actually drive an ambulance to save someone's life, like how we used to imagine when we were little." At this, the men laughed a solemn laugh, but stopped rather quickly as they waited to see if Misaki would pull through or not.
Animefreaketernally- wow, that was intense. Usagi, how much you wanna bet that Misaki dies?
Usagi- If that Author fucking kills MY Misaki then I will rip off her head and throw it down the pipe! :(
AngstyYaoiFangirl- Wow harsh Usagi, but is it just me or does Usagi threaten me a lot yet never fall through with it?
Animefreaketernally- yeah, he does that because if he brutally murdered you you wouldn't be able to update and he wouldn't get to know what happens ^.^
AngstyYaoiFangirl- By the way Kohai why the hell is your name different? I mean if you look back at my last set of AN'd with you it was httyfreakazoid or some bizarre name like that. Care to explain?
Animefreaketernally- XD I changed it to this because it fits me a bit better, I still love httyd, but anime is my current obsession. I turned into a HUGE otaku the moment I started watching my first anime ^.^
