Not long after Joey had won his duel the sun set as they walked around. Tea suggested that they set up camp for the night which Abasi agreed with as she was dead on her feet as the day caught up to her. Joey and Tristan tried to be all macho by saying that they would be fine as they were there to protect the girls but Tea then asked who would protect them. Soon enough they picked a nice spot under a tree and in no time Abasi was out cold.
Well she slept Tristan started to tell a very lame ghost story, which of course brought up food. "Ah if I don't get some food in me I'm going to be turning into a ghost." Joey shouted up at the moon.
"Those two and their stomachs, hey Yugi." Tea said with a laugh.
"Ya but I'm worried about Abasi. Before the sun went down I noticed that she was looking a little pale as well as tired." Yugi said as he looked at her concerned. Just then Joey spotted a mushroom growing at the base of a tree and of course he wanted to eat it. Tristian was able to grab him before he did.
"Wild mushrooms are poisons Joey." Yugi said.
"So do us all a favor and let him eat it." They all turned and looked at Mai in shock as she stood there laughing.
"Now what do you want Mai?" Joey demanded as he glared at her but he changed his tune when she took a bit out of a candy bar. Soon enough she had the boys doing chores for a meal well Mai pulled out what looked like an Ice pack from her bag.
"What's that for Mai?" Tea asked her.
"It's for Abasi's eye. It should help with the swelling. After I wake her up that is." Mai explained as she knelt next to sleeping girl and gently shook her.
Abasi pushed her hand away well muttering but when Mai gave her a good shack she bolted up and hit her head against Mai's." Owe!" they both shouted well holding their heads.
"What happened?" Yugi asked as he ran over dropping sticks he had found along the way.
"Oh nothing much Mai's and Abasi's heads just collided when Mai woke her up is all." Tea said as she check both girls over.
"Sorry Mai it was an accident." Abasi said. She then stared at Mai in shock. "Mai?"
"It's alright no harm done, here." Mai said moving Abasi's hand well putting the ice pack on her eye. Almost immediately Abasi sighed in relief with a mutter of thanks. Soon the boys had all returned and had a fire going with dinner cooking. Abasi sat and watched them as she held the icepack to her face. Mai stood guard in front of a curtain that was a camp shower.
"Joey I don't think we should be cooking the candy bars." Yugi asked at one point.
"Back off I know what I'm doing."
"Look at you go Joey, only thing missing is a chef's hat and a cute apron." That got a laugh out of Abasi and the others. "Now keep cooking."
"You're tough Mai." Tea said from the shower.
"Us gals got to look out for each other. Especially with a bunch of bozos like them around." Mai said as she watched the boys before adding. "I don't see way you and Abasi bother hanging out with them."
"That's easy Mai, there our best friends." Tea explained.
"Those goof balls? In my experience their type is only good for moving furnisher or fixing cars." Mai said in a flat tone.
"How you doing there Abasi, the ice pack helping?" Yugi asked.
"Ya my head doesn't hurt as much as it did but I'm fighting to stay awake." Abasi said before covering a yawn.
"Well just try and stay awake ok. We'll put some food in you and then you can sleep the rest of the night away." Tristan said.
Soon enough they were all eating and some of them were surprised at how good it tasted. Especially since Joey was the cook. Soon the talk turned to star chips as Yugi spoke up. "Rumor has it that you've won a few Mai is it 8 or 9? However Meany it sure sounds like you're in the zone."
"Huh? Don't think you're going to fool me with your nice guy routine Yugi. It's only a matter of time before you-" Mai didn't finish as Tea cut her off.
"Can't we just forget the tournament for one night?"
"Let's make fun of Joey instead. That's always fun." Tristan offered.
"Ok just as long as everyone is crystal clear about one little thing. Any duelist in my way is going down." Mai said as she gave them all a hard look and taking them all by surprise as her sudden cold demeanor. Then she got to her feet. "Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go for a walk."
They were all silent as they watched her go, Abasi was starting to wonder if there was a reason besides just being a good duelist that made her push them away. Soon they starred to relax and Abasi had nearly nodded off again when she sensed that strange presence again. This time coming from the bushes behind Tea.
Just then there was a rustling in the bushes behind her, which made Tea scream. "What was that?" Yugi asked as he and the other two boys ran over to check. A moment later Bakura stepped into the light.
"See I told you. I haven't just been seeing things." Tea said as they calmed down and let Bakura join them by their fire.
"What are you doing way out here Bakura?" Joey asked.
"Same as you guys I guess." He said.
"You gave us a scare sneaking around those bushes." Tristan said.
"Ya for a minute there we actually thought we had something to worry about. Pretty silly huh?" Joey joked around. Abasi frowned at their friend as he looked at all of them and when he looked at her she knew something was up with him. She kept it to herself as they got to talking.
"Joey you've been staring at that card for like an hour, what's up?" Tristan asked.
"I'll tell ya just don't laugh. Sometimes when I'm in a duel I pretend that it's me up there on the field swapping blows with whatever card my opponent has out. Isn't that dumb?" Joey asked with a laugh.
"Not really." Abasi said with a smile.
"Well if you were which card would you want to be Joey?" Bakura asked.
"Ah- this one, the Flames Swordsmen kicks everyone's butt." He then pretended to be wielding a sword well making swishing sounds.
"Not my guys. The Cyber Commander." Tristan said.
"You boys and your cards are hilarious." Tea said.
"I think everyone has a card that they can identify with. You should see if you can pick one for yourself Tea." Yugi suggested.
"Ok. I pick this one Magician of Faith." Tea said as she held it up for the all to see.
"What, you got to be kidding me?" Tristan asked.
"More like the magician of freaks if you ask me." Joey added.
"Oh shut up you lame brains. If Tea likes her card then you shouldn't judge her for it." Abasi snapped at them.
"Ya then which one of your Gravekeeper's is your favorite?" Tristan asked.
"Believe it or not it isn't a one of my Gravekeepers. It's actually my Protector of the Throne card." She said as she held up. "It may not be strong but it was a gift from my mom so I hold it dear."
That shut the two of them well Bakura turned to Yugi. "Tell me which one is you Identify with Yugi?"
"Oh that's easy, the Dark Magician hands down." Yugi said.
"Maybe I'm just out of the loop but don't you guys think that it's a little silly to be comparing our self's to Duel Monster cards?" Tea asked.
"Maybe a little but it's like grandpa say, it not about the playing cards it's about putting a little bit of your heart into anything that you are about you know." Yugi said before he asked which one Bakura liked the most.
"This one is my favorite." Bakura said as he held up a card with an angle printed on it with a light and dark side to it well holding a heart.
"Isn't that the Change of Hearts card?" Yugi asked.
"Kind of a weird looking pictures don't you think?" Joey said.
"Hum if you want to see how it works we can have a duel right now. Not for star chips, just for a little fun." Bakura said.
"Sure I'm down with that. After all the star chip stuff it will be good to have a duel with no strings attached." Joey said well everyone but Abasi agreed. She couldn't shake the growing feeling that something was not right but she put her card in Yugi's deck all the same. She didn't have to wait long for her suspicions to be confirmed as before the duel even stared Bakura said there was something he wanted to share with them all. Especially Yugi.
He then held his hands out in front of him as he started to hum. "What's he doing?"
"This is getting freaky." Joey said nervously.
Abasi felt some ancient magic at work as a gold neckless appeared in front of Bakura's shirt. "Oh no." she muttered.
"No it can't be. A millennium idem." Yugi said also realizing what it was.
"Yes and the magic of my Millennium Ring can take us to the shadow realm." Bakura said as a familiar darkness surrounded them.
"Oh man I hate magic." Joey said.
"Now he tell me." Abasi muttered.
"Why are you doing this Bakura?" Yugi asked.
"You have something I want Yugi and I aim to take it." Bakura said as there was a flash of light. Abasi found that she was powerless as all of her friends souls were taken from their bodies. Abasi was spared as the golden glow of her power and amulet protected her. It was also in that moment that she felt something familiar in the area but it passed as the light faded and all of her friend's bodies fell to the ground.
"Well this is a surprise. How did you resist my spell?" Bakura asked her as he got to his feet.
Abasi was fighting to breath well her whole body shook. "Like I would tell you and there's no way your Bakura. Who are you really?"
He just laughed. "If you won't answer my question then I won't answer yours. Now after waiting for countless centuries the legendary Millennium Puzzle is mine." He went to reach for it but Abasi pushed him away.
"If you want it, you'll have to-gah." he cut her off by grabbing her neck in a tight grip.
"I'll admit that you have power but you are not skilled enough yet to completely utilize it. It seems that since you can't mind your own business you never will." He sneered well Abasi tried to get free of his grip. Evil Bakura simply laughed as he increased the pressure.
Suddenly there was a flash of light and a seconded later Evil Bakura let her go as an arm raped around her. "You will not harm her." Yami said as he glared down at Evil Bakura.
He looked up at Yami in surprise. "No it can't be." He said.
"You want my Millennium Puzzle, then you'll have to duel me for it. But if I win you'll have to release my friends and send us all back." Yami told him.
"I agree to your ridicules terms Yugi but the little priestess has to keep her weak magic to herself." Evil Bakura said.
"I wouldn't want it any other way." Yami said.
"But-"
"Abasi you are already exhausted from using your powers today, the visions you've had, not to mention your black eye. You'll watch and nothing else. It that understood?" Yami said as he turned and looked at her. She stared at him wide eyed for a moment as he had a commanding presence radiating off of him. She had a strong feeling that there was something else at work and in order for things to work out she had to stay out of the duel.
"Ok, but I don't have to like it." She said.
"Good. Oh and keep in mind that you will both find this a challenge like no other and I promise you that there is more at stake her then you both can comprehend." Evil Bakura said as he took his former seat.
Yami also sat down well having her sit next to him to watch. "Now let the shadow game begin. The first move is yours" Evil Bakura said.
"Very well and my first card is the Cyber Commander. Tristian's favorite." Yami said as he place it down in defense. It was then that a light came from the card and Tristian dressed as the monster of his card appeared on the game mate. "Tristian?"
"Huh? What a weird dream, where am I? What going on here?" Tristian asked as he looked around. Until he spotted Yami and Abasi who looked like giants to him. He immediately freaked.
"You jerk, you've sealed their souls in there favorite cards." Abasi growled at Evil Bakura.
Evil Bakura just chuckled. "Who's your little friend Yugi? He looks pretty tuff but can he deal with this?" he then placed down the white Magical Hat and the two of them could only watch as Tristan was attacked. Tristan then disappeared from the field.
"No Tristan." Yami and Abasi shouted.
Evil Backura laughed. "Awe it looks like that cards been defeated and your poor friend's soul trapped within it."
"Where is he?" Yami snapped. "What have you done with Tristan?"
"Your friend is gone, on his way to the discard pile or the graveyard as we call it in duel monsters." Evil Bakura said.
"No, it can't be." Abasi said distressed.
"Tristian can be gone?" Yami said sadly. Abasi looked at him and saw that like her he didn't want to think about losing any of their friends. She put a hand on his shoulder and held on to it tightly.
"When you duel in the shadow realm the stakes are always higher Yugi. You made a sloppy move and now your friend he paid for it with his very soul. Now which of your friends will you sacrifice next?" Evil Backura asked.
Even though she wasn't dueling Abasi knew that it was a risk to use any of their friend's soul cards but at same time she knew that there may not be any other choice.
With a bit of reluctance Yami placed down Joey's flame swordsman in attack mode. As expected Joey appeared on the field. "Hey Yugi- gah! You guys are giants!" Joey he said when he saw them. "Oh man I finally cracked."
"Joey listen to me. Your soul has been sealed inside your favorite card, you've become the Flames Swordsmen." Yami explained.
"I'm the who?" Joey shouted.
"Oh would it hurt you to keep up Joey." Abasi said as she face palmed at his reaction.
"If I don't win this duel we can't restore you to normal but if your defeated in this battle you'' be carried off to the card graveyard just like Tristan was." Yami told him calmly.
Joey on the other hand wasn't so calm. "Graveyard?!" he shouted.
"In order for me to win this duel, restore you all back to your bodies and get us out of the shadow realm. I'm going to need your help." Yami said. That not only seemed to calm him down it put a smile on his face. He then attacked Evil Bakura's White Magical Hat, dropping Evil Bakura's life point to 1200. The funny part was that Joey figured he was either dreaming or had finally lost his mind.
"Whoa man, I did it Yugi. Now what?" Joey asked.
"Now it's his turn." Abasi said as the three of them looked at Evil Bakura.
He wasn't pleased. "Your little Swordsman got lucky last time Yugi, but not this time." He then put a card face down on the field and ended his turn.
This confused Yami and Abasi as but Joey was be cocky. "It's because he's afraid of what Joey the swordsman will do to it." He said.
"Hang on joey it could be a trap." Abasi said.
But of course Joey didn't listen as he charged in and attacked. The problem was that it was a Morphing Jar which meant the moment it was destroyed both players had to discarded their hands. It was a good thing that Yami wasn't holding Tea's or Abasi's soul cards at the time. Joey apologized when he realized his mistake.
When Yami got a look at his new hand he saw that he now held the Dark Magician. See it as well Abasi wondered what would happen if he put it down. Would it be Yugi who appeared or would Yami? They both soon got their answer as Yami played it. As Yugi appeared on another question went through Abasi's mind. What would happen if Yami played her card, would she suddenly find herself among her friend's souls?
She put that thought a side as Yami resurrected Tristan from the graveyard with Monster Reborn. "Huh, what the- Joey? Yugi? You guys are dreaming this too?" Tristan asked.
"Na, this ain't no dream Tristan, this is just me going insane. It all one big illusion." Joey told him
"Huh?" Tristin asked as he turned to Yugi who Abasi thought looked really cute dressed up in the Dark Magician's get up.
"But just one second ago I was just up there with Abasi." Yugi said a little confused.
"Ya, if you're down here then who's that up there with her?" Tristan asked as they looked at Yami and Abasi.
"Yami what's going on?" Yugi asked.
"An evil spirit has taken control over Bakura and trapped all your souls in your favorite cards. Now you have to duel as your favorite Monster." Abasi explained to Yugi.
"If that the case then why didn't happen to you and this other guy?" Joey asked her.
"Um well you see my magic and my family's amulet protected me and I guess in Yami's case since his soul resides in the Millennium Puzzle he was unaffected." Abasi explained nervously.
"Wait a second, you mean you have actual magic, for real?" Tristan asked. When she nodded he snapped. "Why didn't you tell us?"
"Joey now is not the time to explain about that." Yugi said calmly. "Abasi is our friend and so is Yami we can trust them both to get us back into our bodies."
"Your right Yugi. If the big guy's ok in your book then he's ok by me." Joey said,
"And what about me?" Abasi asked.
"We already know we can trust you and I'm sorry I snapped at you." Tristan said.
"You're forgiven." She said with a smile.
"So now what?" Yugi asked.
"Maybe we should try and find Tea." Tristan suggested.
"She must still be in the deck."
"Then we should try and win this thing before her card gets played." Joey suggested and with that it was back to business as Yugi attacked Evil Bakura's face down card which turned out to be another Morphing Jar. So once again Yami had to send his hand to the Graveyard and this time he not only had Tea's card but Abasi's as well. The odd thing was that her card was glowing.
Both Yami and Abasi exchanged a worried look and a bit of confusion well Evil Bakura placed another card face down and started to pick at Yami's conches. "Do you suppose that Tea's mortal soul is trapped within that card? Hum I wonder? Maybe you should play it and find out but then again you don't know what I'm laying down here. So might be putting her in danger. A dilemma and well you decide I'll just activate this trap card. Just Deserts."
Abasi watched as Yami's life points were attacked and dropped down to 500. Abasi studied him as the effects of the trap made him lose strength. "Just deserts take 500 point from each of your monsters you have on the field and you'll feel like each and every point has been ripped from your being heart."
"Big Yugi are you ok?" Tristan asked.
"Yes but one more attack like that and it's over." Yam said as he held his chest in pain.
"Abasi can't you don something?" Yugi asked.
"I've been barred from helping. Even if I could I've got hardly any power left after the visons I've had and spells I have used today. I'm having a hard enough time as it is to stay awake." Abasi said as she looked at Yami worried.
With he was steady again Yami thanked her and took his turn. Yami knew that Tea's card wasn't save in his hand so he placed it face down as well. Tea wasn't fazed at first about the situation as the boys all tried to hide her behind their backs but then she realized something was up when she saw what she was wearing.
"What the- what's this?" Tea asked well looking at the staff in her hand. Joey tried to shush her as he started to explain the situation to her as best as he could. She of course pointed out that Yugi who was standing right in front of her. Yugi then explained quickly that Yami was him but wasn't him at the same time.
"Just think of it this way Tea. There's two Yugi's, the cool one up there and the puny one down here." Joey said when he saw that Tea was still confused.
Hearing this Yugi sweet dropped and Abasi laughed behind her hand. A bit angry now, Yugi made the mistake of attacking Evil Bakura's face down monster. It turns out it was an Electric Lizard which always shocks the monster that attacked it. Getting a hug shock Yugi dropped him to his knees as his body went numb. Yami and Abasi were worried about Yugi but knew they were powerless to help him. So with reluctance Yami placed a trap card face down and end his turn.
As he did Evil Bakura looked down in Tea's direction which made Tristan and Joey try to cover her up. "Don't bother you fools I can see her perfectly well." He snapped taking Yami by surprise. "Now I have all four of you right where I want you, helpless on the field, easy prey or my Man Eater Bug. I would have liked it if the little priestess had joined you but she is too well protected."
As Evil Bakura put his monster face down Abasi wondered what he meant by her be protected but she didn't have time to speculate as the others asked Yugi about Evil Bakura's new monster. "The Man Eater Bug can automatically destroy one creature on the field as soon as it's flipped up."
That didn't sit well with any of them as they realized that in order to win they would have to sacrifice one of them. "Guys I really don't want to go back to the graveyard." Tristan said dismally.
"Don't you worry Tristan, none of us are going back. We're going to destroy that bug before he plays it." Joey said. Yugi dashed that hope away as he explained that the moment any of them attacked it would activate.
"What are you saying Yugi that one of us is going to end up as worm food? Joey asked.
"I'm saying that there's only one way out of this and we're standing on it." Yugi said as he looked down at the trap card Yami had placed down. He unfortunately got their hopes us as the trap card Horn of Heaven requires a sacrifice to use it. This still meant that either way one of them was going to the graveyard before the turn was over. Of course they started to argue about which one would do it.
It was then that Abasi got an idea. "Yami play my Protector of The Throne card."
"But for all we know that might send your soul into it." Yami said as he looked at her. He didn't hide the fact that the idea of her joining the rest of their friends on the field was a frightening one.
"Yami if what Bakura said is true then it may not and we can send that to the graveyard in their place. Also I can't shack this feeling that something else is at work in this duel and my card is behind it." Abasi explained.
Yami could see that she was nervous about what could happen if her card was played but as he looked at the glowing card in his hand he realized that she was right. So he played it in defiance mode. As the card took shape on the field a women with tan skin, short blond wearing a blue dress appeared in the place of the usual monster.
"Where am I, who are you children and why are we dressed like this?" the women asked. Before anyone could explain it to her or ask who she was they all heard Abasi gasp. Looking at her they saw that she had covered her mouth in shock and had tears in her eyes.
"I don't believe it, mom?" she asked shocking everyone.
"Wait a minute. Abasi are you telling us that this is your mom?" Joey asked as he pointed at the women.
Hearing who Joey was talking to the women turned and stared at her daughter in shock. "Abasi! Sweet heart what-" suddenly the green jewel in Abasi's amulet glowed and sent a beam of green light on her. It last for a moment before it faded. When it had her demeanor completely changed. "I see so it is his doing that your new friends are fighting for their lives and I was brought here."
"And who are you exactly?" Evil Bakura snapped as he glared down at her.
"My name is Asim Klashi and you are not from this time." She said glaring up at him.
"That is of no consequence as I understand you are dead." Evil Bakura said as he looked at her confused. "How then did you come here?"
"The answer is simple. The card Protector of the Throne I gave my daughter is infused with a detection spell that she would not be able to detect or remove until she had reached my level of mastery over our family's magic. As you tried to remove her soul the protector called my soul from the afterlife to take her place and help her and her friends." Asim said.
"Oh and how do you plan to do that as you are powerless as they are?" Evil Bakura asked.
As her way of answering Asim's eyes glowed silver as she chanted. They all watched as her silver aura surrounded her as a ball of light formed in her hands. She then sent it sky ward above their heads before it burst in to specks of light. As the specs touched the field and those that where on it, took on the sliver light. "Now the effects of the shadow realm are cut in half and as such their lives are no longer in great danger."
"Really? Gee thanks Mess Klash." Joey said.
"I'm afraid that is all I can do with magic but I can also save all of you from his monster as well." Asim said as she started to walk towards Evil Bakura's Man Eater Bug.
"Wait stop." Yami said as he reached out his hand to stop her. Asim turned and shot flames at him. Yami quickly pulled his hand back.
"I am no longer of the living word and as such I am best suited to sacrifice." Asim said as she turned to go again but found all of her daughter's friends blocking her path. "Move."
"Sorry not happening." Tristan said.
"We appreciate what you've done and that we get to meet you Mess Klashi but we can't let Abasi watch you die again." Yugi said.
Asim smiled as she waved her hand which froze them all in place as she walked around them. "Such kindness and determination is admirable in young people but you have your lies ahead of you. I can't in good conches let you die when I already have."
When she reached Evil Bakura's side of the field, his face down card activated and the Man Eater Bug looked down at Asim. She then turned and looked at her daughter. I'm proud of you sweet heart, doubt you ever forget that."
Abasi was crying profusely by this point and was gripping Yami's leg in a vice grip. He could tell that this was hard for her but he knew that her mother was right. So he turned to Asim with a grim face. "Are you ready?"
She only nodded as they Man Eater Bug scooped her up and went to eat her. Yami then activated his trap card. "I sacrifice my Protector of the Throne to active the Horn of Heaven. Blasting it celestial tune directly at your Man Eater Bug. Obliterating him from the field once and for all."
Abasi couldn't watch as her mother was once again taken from her. So she bared her face in her hands and waited for it to be over. She knew it was done when Yami put a hand on her back and the others called out to her as they were freed from Asim's spell.
Evil Bakura laughed. "Don't worry you'll soon be joining her in the graveyard. You can spend an eternity together."
Abasi's head shot up. "You bastard. I'll tear you apart." She snapped as he tried to get to her feet.
Yami quickly had to grab her. "Abasi I know your angry but you have to let me finish the duel. If you don't we won't be able to leave and your mother's sacrifice will have been for nothing."
That calmed her down enough to sit once again but she was shacking in anger as she glared at Evil Bakura. Of course Evil Bakura had to rub salt in the wound as he reminded them that Yami had already use his Monster Reborn to bring Tristan back.
"No this isn't right. She should have had one of us do it. She could have used a spell to save us." Tea said as she also started to cry. As her teas fell and hit her card she started to glow. It was then Yugi remember the Magician of faith's special ability.
"That's right and the effect of the Magician of Faith allows me to bring back one magic card from the discard pile and add it to my hand. And the card I chose is Monster Reborn, which I play now!"
Abasi almost couldn't believe it as her mother returned to the field, staring at them in surprise as all of her daughter's friends surrounded her. "I don't understand?" she asked.
"I told you, you needed to learn the game to understand it better." Abasi said as she laughed happily.
Evil Bakura wasn't so happy with the turn of events. "You waste your time and your turns rescuing these foolish mortals." He snapped.
"My friends are never a wait of time. Not even Asim, who would risk her soul for her daughter happiness. Make your move." Yami said.
"Oh I'll move and you will lose. This is the play that will end the match and win e your Millennium Puzzle. First I will play the Lady of faith in attack mode and then the card that will turn your friends against one another. The Change of Heart."
"Isn't that Bakura's favorite card?" Yugi asked.
"And a very magical card it is. With this card I can turn you against your comrades. The very friends who sought to protect you, you will now destroy." Evil Bakura said.
It was pretty clear what he was think as he put it down. He was going to use to take over Yugi and have him attack one of his friends, sending them to the graveyard and ending the duel. They were all taken off guard as their Bakura appeared on the field but not that he wanted to help them win. He over shadowed Evil Bakura's Lady of Faith and told Yugi to attack him. But Yami knew that if he did then their friend would be sent to the graveyard instead. Then he got an idea and took a page from the Evil Bakura's book.
He switched the Bakura's around till it was the Evil one on the field before Yugi attacked the Evil Bakura and ended the Duel sending everyone else's souls back where they belonged. As they left the Shadow Realm, what was left of Abasi's straight gave out and she passed out right into Yami's lap. He was concerned for a second but he realized that she was just spent she he gently picked her up and gently laid her down near her pack. He then covered her up in one of her own thermal blankets and left Yugi have his body back.
Seeing that all of his friends were alright Yugi and Bakura cleaned up the game and Yugi returned every card to its respected owner, carefully tucking Abasi's in her hand. He then talked to Bakura for a few moment as he heard about how his friends got the Millennium Ring. Soon after the rest of their friends woke up and figured that the whole incident had been a dream. Before either Bakura or Yugi had to examine anything they heard Mai's scream coming from the woods.
And so they were barely out of on crises to only go charging into another, leaving their sleeping friend behind.
