POV: Aqualad

Darkness was all I saw. Infinite darkness. Infinite pain. The last thing I remember was being strapped to an operating table in the presence of my father. My consciousness had rolled in and out during the operation. I have to try to remember what they did to me… They needed my DNA. They cloned me!

I opened my eyes and my father was standing over me. He was not wearing his helmet.

"Kaldur…"

I tried to get up and attack him, but my wrists were restrained.

"What have you done to me?"

"Kaldur you have to believe me, this is all for the greater good."

"The greater good. You don't care about the greater good. All you care about is being the real hero in your own eyes. Ask yourself something father, would a real hero kidnap and drug his own son?"

"You mistake my intentions, Kaldur'ahm. I had hoped you would rejoin me, but it seems I was foolish to believe you would do so willingly. You saw what we did to Orm, you clearly require the same treatment.

POV: Superboy

What Batgirl showed to Superman enraged him. When he told me, I broke a hole in the wall that will take weeks to fix.

Luthor is finally going to pay. I'm going to hit him so hard that no amount of medical technology will be able to help him.

Today he happened to be opening the new Daily Planet Building, which his company was funding. Superman and I were going to crash the party. When Batman had tried to talk some sense into Superman, he wouldn't listen. All he cared about was leaking Luthor's secret to the public and making him pay. Nightwing tried to do the same for me, but despite all his efforts, I think he was on our side.

We zeta'd to Metropolis and made our way to the opening ceremony.

"Dear citizens of Metropolis, it is my honor to be here, opening the new Daily Planet. My company, LexCorp, and our new partnership with Kord Industries will make sure that all of this dear city is given the technology it deserves to protect itself and bring new meaning to the City of Tomorrow!"

Everyone cheered. It made me sick. How can people love a guy like this?

Superman doesn't wait to consult with me; instead he flies to the pedestal while everyone is still cheering. I decided to sit back and watch for now.

"Luthor!"

"Ah! Superman! So glad you could make it-"

"Stow it, Luthor."

"My dear big blue, boyscout, what could possibly be so important that you must interrupt such an important day in Metropolis's history."

Luthor was just mocking him now. Superman stared him dead in the eyes. He spoke loud enough for everyone to hear him without a microphone. One of the perks of being Superman, I guess.

"I know about Project: Supergirl."
