I don't have anything to say here, so let's just skip the blurb and get onto the chapter!
Marinette puts her earrings back on and rushes to Adrien. She slides his ring back on his finger and Plagg emerges.
Marinette: (cries) Adrien.
Adrien: Marinette, it's okay.
Marinette: No! You're dying.
Adrien: No I'm not, your powers, you can change everything back.
Marinette: It might not work!
Adrien: Sure it will.
Marinette: Tikki, can I undo a Cataclysm?
Tikki: I'm not sure, nothing like this has ever happened before.
Marinette: We have to try! Tikki, Spots On!
The scene changes back to Avery and the people Shadow Shifter captured.
Avery: (still singing and playing) The demon in me! The demon in me!
Shadow Shifter: It's been over an hour now, I don't think it's going to work!
Avery: I'm not giving up!
Shadow Shifter: You don't know the first thing about akumas. Your little rock concert isn't doing anything. Only Ladybug can defeat me, but she's busy mourning the loss of her precious Cat Noir!
Avery: What!? Is he here!?
Shadow Shifter: No, sweetie, I didn't lay a hand on that useless cat. Hawk Moth did it.
Avery: That's it! Get out! (plays guitar)
Chloe: I don't think that's actually working.
Avery: Who cares? Shadow Shifter seems irritated by it!
Chloe: (covers her ears) I don't blame her! That thing is loud!
Hiro is watching Shadow Shifter as she screams in pain from Avery's "attacks."
Hiro: Does she always spazz out like that?
Baymax: Shadow Shifter seems to be going through extreme mental pain. It's as if someone within her imaginative thought process is using their abilities against her, there could be several people trapped within her darkened soul trying to break the spell.
Hiro: Whoa.
Ladybug: As long as she's distracted, I can get her akuma, but where is it? She's literally a shadow, she has nothing visible on her.
Honey Lemon: Maybe we can try getting her to turn into someone else, then you can find the object and break it.
Ladybug: Hmm, this won't be easy. Lucky Charm!
A red boomerang with black spots appears.
Hiro: Um, cool power?
Ladybug: Lucky Charm hasn't failed me yet, and it's not failing me again! Don't worry Adrien, you're almost out of the woods.
Adrien: Hurry.
Ladybug throws the boomerang at Shadow Shifter's ankles, tripping her. Startled, she transforms into Nino, who is wearing Avery's jacket.
Ladybug: It's gotta be in the jacket.
Shadow Shifter: Good luck getting it away from me!
Gogo: Ha! Child's play! (speeds past and tries to take the jacket)
Fred: I say we corner her off! (launches fire, causing Shadow Shifter to back into a corner.)
Honey Lemon: Stick to it! (throws chemical bomb that explodes into a sticky pink substance, trapping Shadow Shifter.
Ladybug swings her yo-yo at the ceiling and swings over the fire ring. She slowly lowers herself next to Shadow Shifter.
Ladybug: Fred, next time ease off on the fire!
Fred: Aw man!
Shadow Shifter: Do you seriously think you'll make it out of here, Ladybug?
Ladybug: Yes! (to herself) Fingers crossed! (to Shadow Shifter) Now hand over that jacket! (rips the hood off, releasing the akuma.) No more evil-doing for you, little akuma! (captures) Time to de-evilize! Gotcha! (releases white butterfly) Bye bye, little butterfly. (throws boomerang into the air) Miraculous Ladybug!
A swarm of ladybugs swirl around Paris, everyone Shadow Shifter captured returns home. Avery has her final confrontation with her akumatized self.
Shadow Shifter: What's happening?
Avery: Ladybug just rocked your world! And now, it's my turn! (plays final riff, Shadow Shifter fades from existence) Yeah!
Back in reality, Shadow Shifter morphs back into Avery, the true, real Avery.
Avery: What just hap...FIRE!
Ladybugs swirl around the fire and pink substance she was trapped in.
Avery: Whew! As I was saying, what just happened? Where am I?
Hiro: Everything's alright now.
Avery: You're the boy I saw on the news report.
Hiro: I hope I mean much more to you than that. (removes helmet)
Avery: Hiro! Wow, this is crazy, and awesome, and...yes! (hugs)
Hiro: Heh, this is way better than you trying to steal my soul back there!
Avery: What are you talking about?
Hiro: I'll explain later. But you should get home with your family, they're worried sick about you.
Avery: No they aren't, they hate me.
Hiro: I think you just might be pleasantly surprised!
Wasabi: I hate to ruin this moment, but you guys need to see this.
Ladybug: It didn't work. Adrien, stay with me!
Plagg: He's barely awake.
Avery: What's wrong with Adrien? And what is that flying cat thing?
Ladybug: To make a long story short, Adrien is Cat Noir, and he's not doing well. I just don't get it! When I tossed the boomerang in the air, he should've been healed.
Honey Lemon: Maybe it's not that simple. Maybe you need another solution. Is there any other method of healing that you know of?
Ladybug: I'm trying to think. My powers always get me out of everything, and I already tried them, plus I only have five minutes left as Ladybug.
Baymax: Love.
Ladybug: Huh?
Baymax: Love is the ultimate source of healing.
Ladybug: Love.
Adrien: Ladybug, what are you...?
Ladybug and Adrien kiss, the others watch in amazement. A black orb of energy rises out of Adrien's body and explodes. Ladybug helps him stand up, and she transforms back into Marinette.
Avery: So Marinette's Ladybug, Adrien's Cat Noir, and let me guess, you guys are all Hiro's friends, and the flying robot is Baymax.
All: Yep.
Avery: I guess mom was wrong to worry I would fall in with the wrong crowd, because this is the best thing that's ever happened to me!
Marinette: It's not over yet, (picks up moth Miraculous) we still need to give this back to Master Fu so he can find it's rightful owner.
Adrien: Master who now?
Marinette: He's the one who gave us our Miraculouses in the first place.
Adrien: (to Plagg) Why have you never told me about Master Fu?
Plagg: Oh yeah! I forgot!
Adrien: Figures. Let's go!
Marinette: The rest of you might as well come. We were kind of sworn to secrecy and everything, but it was either that or get killed by Avery's alter ego!
Avery: Would someone please fill me in?
Big Hero 6 removes their armor for this next scene. The group walks to Master Fu's hideout. Marinette and Adrien enter first, everyone else waits outside.
Master Fu: Ladybug and Cat Noir, I see you've met.
Marinette: Yes, and here is the moth Miraculous. Paris is finally safe!
Master Fu: I will have to find it's rightful owner. As for you two, I'm sure that this is only the beginning of your journey as superheroes, and there will be stronger enemies to face, much stronger than Hawk Moth and his akumas.
Adrien: Where is father now? I mean, Hawk Moth? And what was he after?
Master Fu: He was arrested. Lieutenant Roger saw him running away through the streets followed by a trail of white butterflies from his home, which had a mysterious window on the top floor that appeared out of nowhere. I'm not sure what he was after...but maybe this has something to do with it. (opens brooch revealing a picture of a woman) Is she familiar to you?
Adrien: That's my mother...she went missing about a month before you gave me my Miraculous. Hm, I'll have to look into this.
Marinette: Don't go all Hawk Moth on me!
Adrien: Relax, I'd never do that. I just want to see the other half of this story, you know. So we can just lock it up forever and bury it in the past.
Marinette: Yeah, I get it.
Master Fu: Well, it looks as if you brought some friends with you.
Marinette: About that, these are our friends, Hiro, Baymax, Honey Lemon, Gogo, Fred, Wasabi, and Avery. And you know Tikki and Plagg, of course.
Wayzz: Are they here?
Master Fu: Yes Wayzz, they're back!
Tikki and Plagg: Wayzz!
Wayzz: Tikki! Plagg!
All three hug.
Fred: Aww, Kwami family reunion!
Master Fu: I almost forgot something, I'll be right back.
Hiro: Thanks, Tadashi. You were right, we all needed each other's individual talents and abilities in order to have the happy ending we all hoped for, and now, we have it. I just wish you could be here with us, to see Ladybug save Adrien's life, to watch me really hit it off with Avery, and most of all, to be with us right now. Everyone is so happy and filled with light, I can feel the joy in the air. And now, Hawk Moth has been defeated, and Paris is safe from his evil wrath. There are no more secrets between us, no more reasons to have suspicions. After mom and dad died, I always thought our family was incomplete. And when you ran into that burning building, I was sure it was true. Now I see that even if there isn't any biological relationship between you and your friends, they're still a part of your family, and you're a part of their's. I almost hate to leave Paris tomorrow, but it isn't over. After all, Marinette's parents are planning on flying over to San Fransokyo this summer, and maybe I can get Avery and Adrien to come too. Professor Callaghan, Hawk Moth, they were just the beginning. There's so many more villains out there threatening innocents, and it's up to us to stop them.
Avery: Hi.
Hiro: How much of that did you hear?
Avery: Enough to know that you're an amazing brother!
Hiro: I wonder if he could hear me.
Avery: Of course he could. Even when he can't physically be with you anymore, he'd never truly leave you behind. So, what's this about your summer plans?
Hiro: Well, San Fransokyo holds an annual costume party in July. It's sort of like Halloween, only in summer.
Avery: I'm in!
Adrien: I still can't believe I'm talking to the Kwami that transforms Marinette into Ladybug! I don't know if I mentioned this before, but you're even cuter than I pictured!
Tikki: Aw, thanks!
Adrien: I mean, you're sweet and encouraging, and you don't stink!
Tikki: Ha ha, I'm basically Plagg's opposite.
Marinette: Is camembert seriously all you eat?
Plagg: Yep! It's good stuff, it's the fastest way to get my energy back up!
Marinette: I guess that explains why Cat Noir always smells weird.
Adrien: What was that?
Marinette: Oh nothing!
Honey Lemon: (pulls out phone) Ok, everybody get in the picture! You too, Master Fu! One, two, three, everybody say Big Hero Miraculous!
All: Big Hero Miraculous!
No, this is not the last chapter, there are still two or three more left, depending on how it stretches out. It's mostly just fluff and resolutions, but the final chapter is a set-up for book 2. I might also do a few one-shots to fill the space in between the two stories. You know, a few basic challenges the main four have to face now that their lives have all changed forever. Stay tuned, it's not over yet!
