Elisa Fairview's P.O.V.

This moment with Peter was perfect. He looked so handsome at this moment. His beautiful snow-white ears were leaning inwards and as we swayed back and forth, I felt myself falling more and more in love with this man.

Everything couldn't have been going better, when I suddenly felt the floor shaking. I gasped and looked up at Peter. His eyes were wide and he looked frightened. "What's going on?" I asked him.

He looked at me and said, "Grab my hand and run."

I gulped and Peter dragged me out of the way as a crack appeared in the center of the ballroom. What was happening? Everything seemed nightmarish now. I was shaking, but I continued to hold onto Peter's hand as we ran. The world was a blur. Everyone was screaming and becoming hysterical. They ran out of the ballroom, but the damage was still happening everywhere. My body shook as I saw a huge crack appear on the wall. The ceiling developed a crack as well and then it fell. I screamed then, because a piece of it had hit Peter's shoulder. He groaned and fell forward. "PETER!" I cried.

"I-'m OK, go on Elisa," he said.

I shook my head. "I'm NOT leaving you!"

He smiled sadly. "You have to, how would you carry me?"

An idea hit me. "Peter I can carry you," I said smiling.

He frowned, "How?"

"Turn into your rabbit form," I said feeling like a genius.

His eyes widened, "Of course! You're brilliant Elisa!"

I laughed, "I try."

In the next moment Peter transformed into his rabbit form and I bent down to pick him up. At that moment however I saw a chunk of ceiling falling again. I screamed and tried to get out of the way. It was too late though I was going to get squashed. Suddenly I felt myself being pushed roughly out of the way. I looked over and saw the queen had saved me. She, however, had a deep wound on her right shoulder. I gulped. "Vivaldi! Are you OK?"

She smiled at me, "I'm fine. Go on dear. You need to get out of here."

I nodded and ran down a corridor. The world around me continued to crumble and fall to ruins. I wouldn't stop though. Not until Peter and I were out of danger. I made two more turns before I saw the doors leading out of the castle. I pushed the left one and it fell down. I gasped, but ran out. Outside it was even worse. There were cracks emerging everywhere and the sky itself looked as if it were crumbling. I gulped and then I sunk to the ground holding Peter to my chest. "I don't know what to do," I sobbed.

Peter said in a muffled voice, "I'm soowwoy Emisaa."

I frowned and held Peter out in front of me. "What?" I asked.

He looked up into my eyes and said, "I'm sorry Elisa."

"Why?" I asked.

He sighed, "Because I knew this prophecy would happen sooner or later and I dragged you here to Wonderland. You could have been safe, instead of being here."

I frowned again, "First of all Peter I'm glad I came to Wonderland and second I wouldn't have met you, which would have royally sucked. Third we can fix this."

He sighed, "I wish it were so simple. The prophecy says 'Strife will strike Wonderland when one doesn't believe. When the thought of mere fantasy escapes their dreams and washes away into nothingness. Only when this one believes again will everything be right."

"What does that mean?" I asked.

"It means someone in your world does not believe in Wonderland anymore. It means they have given up on us and have decided to grow up. They must be close to you or this wouldn't be happening. The only way to 'fix' this is to convince them that Wonderland is real. But how are we to know who this is?"

Who wouldn't believe in Wonderland who I knew? I pondered this for a while. Then it hit me. Perhaps it was Maddie, my little sister. She was young enough to believe, but had she given up on the thought of Wonderland being real? I frowned it was worth a shot. "Peter, I think I can fix this. Can you take me to my world?"

Peter nodded. "Put me down," he said. I did as he asked and he became a man again. He held his shoulder and winced. "This won't take long," he replied. I nodded and he turned away from me. He held out a hand and a door appeared. "Come on," he said and began walking towards the door. I followed him and we entered a dream like world. There was no floor or ceiling, just swirling blue in all directions. I walked beside Peter and asked him where we were. "We're in the between," he explained. I gave him a confused look. "We're between worlds. This is like a bridge between your world and mine," he clarified. I nodded and we went through a door on the other side of the swirling blue.

We emerged through the door and ended up in my backyard. The lights were off in every room, except for my younger sister's. I gulped and said, "Come on." Peter and I headed towards my house and the stars in the sky twinkled down on us. They looked so small compared to my problems.
