Jake and I have been argument free for two weeks now. We'll see how long that lasts. We have been getting closer ever since. Today was the first day back from winter break. The day has gone by in a blur. We are in the last period of the day, band. Jacob plays the tenor saxophone. I play the clarinet. The band teacher, Mr. Blofis, was giving one of his long lectures. I was trying to keep my reed moist because in winter reeds tend to dry out super fast. Unfortunately, there is no way to moisten your reed without making it look seductive. I looked around and everyone was either intreged by the lecture or the were asleep so I decided that was the right time to moisten the reed. I put my tongue to the reed and started licking it. Once the reed felt moist I put my mouth around the whole mouthpiece to wipe off the excess spit. I hear quiet chuckling to my left. I turn and see Jacob looking at me. I give him a confused look like I didn't know what he was talking about. He put his mouth to his mouthpiece and started frantically licking his mouthpiece. I couldn't hold in my laughter and I burst out laughing. The teacher stopped his lecture and sent me to the pricipal's office. That just made Jake start laughing so we werer both sent to the office.

"You suck, Jake." I stated.
"Hey, you started it with your reed moistening!"
"Wel, it isn't my fault that my reed was dry!"
"Well you shouldn't make it look so seductive!"
"It's not like I tried to."
"Okkkaaayyy."
"Whatever. What are we supposed to say to the principal?" I asked.
"Say the truth. You were lickinig you mouthpiece seductivily and trying to turn me on." he said with a cockly smirk on his face.
"WHAT!? That isn't what I was trying to do!"
"It's okay, Lena, we all know you want me."
"You are such a cocky ass! That wasn't what I was trying to do at all!" I exclamed.
He put his hands on my shoulders and looked me straight in the eyes and said, "Lena, you need to stop lying." Then he turned and walked into the pricipal's office.

After school Seth walked up to me and said, "Nice job getting sent to the pricipal's."
"It's all Jake's fault. He started licking his mouthpiece and it was way to funny to no laugh!"
"Ok then. How are things with you and Jake?" Seth asked with concern etched on his face.
"Seth you have nothing to worry about. We decided to be friends and it's working out just fine. We haven't argued in weeks and I feel so much better than before when we were fighting. We have become good friends." I said and turned to look at Seth he looked sad. "Seth you will always be my bestest friend ever. No one could ever take your spot as my best friend." then I kissed him on the cheek and jumped onto his back. "GIDDY UP!" I yelled and he perked up instantly. He ran us all the way back to my house.

We walked inside and all the guys were already there.

"Hey guys!" I yelled.
I got a whole bunch of different hellos.
"How was your day?" Brady asked me.
"Jacob got me sent to the pricipal's office."
"What!? Why?"
"Ask him. Seth and I are going up to my room to do homework." I grabbed Seth's hand and ran up the stairs. Once we got up to my room I asked, "I wonder how he is going to explain that." Seth just laughed.

"You are going to pay for that!" Jake yelled. He ran up to me and flung me over his shoulder.
"AHHHHHH!" I screeched. "Put me down!"
"NEVER!" He started to run toward the beach.
"So help if you throw me in that water I will..." I didn't even finish my sentence before I felt an icy cold rush run through me. I break the surface gasping. I see a russet hand reached out. I grip it firmly and pull down with all my strength. I hear a splash to the right of me. I look over too see Jacob with a shocked face. I started laughing hysterically.
"Oh my gosh! You should've seen your face!" I said while I was laughing. Then Jacob started to laughing. We splashed around in the water for another hour after that. I don't think I have ever been so comfortable around him before. It felt nice.

Afterward, we walked over to Sam and Emily's for dinner. We walked in the door and Emily screamed, "Ah! Don't get my house wet! What happened?! Why are you guys wet!?"
"Chill out Emily! Lena and I decided to take a swim." Then we both started cracking up.
"What's so funny?" Emily said confusingly. We still haven't stopped laughing. "Whatever, just get cleaned up for dinner."

After dinner I help Emily clean up dinner.

"So you're getting pretty close with Jacob huh?"
My heart picks up and I say calmly, "Yeah I guess."
"You guess?"
"Yes, that's what I said." I said a little irritable

After the dishes were all clean and put away, Emily and I walked into the living room. I scanned the room and saw one spot left. It was next to Jacob. I look over at Jacob. He had the look of hope in his eyes. So I sat next to him. My heartbeat picked up. God why does it always do that when I'm by him. We decided to watch a movie so we dimmed the lights and turned on the TV. Jacob's warmth was radiating. I think this was the warmest I have ever felt. On instinct I put my head on his shoulder. I felt his arm wrap around my shoulder. Then I felt my eyelids getting heavy. The next thing I know I was being lifted up and put on something warm and soft. Then everything went dark and I was asleep.
