All I remember was falling and the heat. So much heat, it felt as if my skin was burning off. And hell, maybe it was-I don't know. Man, Clint's gonna be pissed. Tasha will be there right? Oh I don't know. I guess I don't know a lot of things. Like who sent henchmen to capture me. Or why he sent them. And well, I don't even know where I am. There's just darkness and a strange throbbing. Hmmmm, am I dead? No I can't be. I have to fight this. For my brother. For Tasha. For Coulson and Hill. Fuck, for Fury. But I guarantee you I'm not dying today.

Clint's POV

"Barton you need to calm down. Hill will call us. Maya is gonna be fine." Tash whispered to me as we sat it the jet.

"You don't know that." I growled back at her.

"I do. I know your sister is a very strong girl and won't let a helicopter crash kill her. She's gonna fight this. I do know, because when I met her I saw the same fighting determination I had. That you have. She's gonna fight through this and she's gonna win. I just wish you saw that."

I stared at my partner in shock. No one has ever said something like that to me before. Not to mention I can barely get two sentences out of that woman.

"Thanks Nat." I mumbled in her direction. The thing about her is that she is always right. No matter the situation.

"What was that?"

"Thanks."

"Sorry?"

"Thank you! My goodness woman you are stubborn!" I yelled, putting me heads in my hands.

"Don't call me woman." She told me, with all the playful laughter gone.

"Sorry." I sighed and lay back in the seat. Any minute now. Come one Hill, just call me.

I tried to stay awake with endless cup of coffee and talking with Nat, but it wasn't working. I groaned and sat back down in my seat and caught her staring at me

"What?"

"Get some sleep, Barton. I wake you if Hill calls."

I just raised my brow at her. And she smiled at me with the smile I rarely ever saw. I wish she would do it more often. Especially when she tilts her head like that and her hair-

No. I can't think like that. She's my partner and nothing else.

"Clint." I heard her say and I quickly look up from my hands.

"Yeah what?"

"Are you okay? You spaced out on me."

"Yeah. I'm fine. Just thinking."

"Get some sleep okay?"

I sighed and looked at her again. She was giving me her "do it or you die" look,

"Okay." I closed my eyes and let the darkness consume me.

Maya's POV

"Ow." I groaned and slowly opened my eyes. However, I automatically shut them, "Lights. Buuuurn."

I heard a small chuckle and the lights above me switched off.

"You gave us a good scare, Maya." The woman said, with an oddly familiar voice. Racking through my brain, I think of his voice.

Let's see...Mom...Tasha...

"Wow." I thought and gave myself a mental face palm. Hill.

"How are you feeling?" She asked me as I opened my eyes again.

"Eh. I'd be better if I was at a beach, or island, or comi-." I began muttering and she her shaking her head.

"No Comic Con." Hill scolded me.

I sighed in defeat. And then started laughing at the face she was giving me. Then I realized that was a big mistake.

A sharp pain went up my side and then I remembered why I was in the fucking hospital.

"Oh." Was all I could muster up at the moment.

"Here." Hill whispered and handed me a small glass of water. I nodded thanks and gulped it down.

A doctor came into the room and smiled at me.

"Well it looks like you're awake. How are you feeling? Do you need more morphine or anything?"

I smiled at the nice woman and shook my head, slowly.

"Just an assessment of wounds and when I can get out of here."

Both the doctor and Hill began laughing at that.

"You sound like your brother. He said almost the exact same thing last time I had him in here.'' The doctor told me and grabbed a clipboard from the table next to her, "Well let's see. You have two stab wounds in your side, 3rd degree burns on your back, 2nd degree burns on your face, arms, and legs, a fractured skull, and a sprained leg. In an estimate you can't leave for at least a month. Most likely more."

"Ugh… There's no possible way I can be out sooner?" I groaned.

"No, sorry. I have to go check on other patients, but if you need anything Agent, just press the button by your bed okay?"

I nodded and lay back against the bed and sighed. A month in a stupid hospital with nothing to do. I don't think I'm going to make it.

"So, let's see I brought you some books and movies to occupy yourself with, until we can get you up and moving again." Hill laid a HUGE stack of books onto my desk with a bang.

"Thanks." I whispered. Clint most of told them my favorites, because all of my favorites were there. And some new ones, which is good.

"The movies are already on the TV. Just take this remote and press the big blue button. They are arranged by genre. I have to go take care of SHIELD business, but hopefully I or Coulson can come and visit you."

"But what about Clint and Tasha?" I asked. Cause, I mean in was super nice to have her here, but all I really want was them.

"They are currently on a mission, but hopefully will be back by the time you're out of the hospital. "

I nodded and she left without another word. Hmmm… books just sound boring right now, soooo movie.

I turned on the TV and scrolled through the different genres of movies. Eventually clicking on Action, I saw The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. Pressing play, I sat back and watched one of the best movies of all time.

Natasha's POV

I sat staring at the sleeping man in front of me. Hill had just called saying that Maya was going to be okay. I was going to wake him up, but he needed sleep. This mission is already going to be hard enough; I don't need him lacking sleep.

I grabbed the folder that had our aliases in and went over them. It was pretty easy. A newly married couple who are traveling on a world tour and decided to make a pit stop in the place that our target just happens to be in.

I look out see and saw we were close to the big city, better wake up Clint.

I quickly unbuckle myself and shake awake Clint.

"Hey Hill called, Maya's gonna be okay." In quietly told him and he shot up.

"Really?"

"Yes. Oh and were here."

"Well, wife. Welcome to Budapest."

A/N: That's right I went there. Now do you guys want me to do a Budapest story in this one? If not I was planning on writing it after I'm done with this one. Please review, favorite, follow, or all! Oh, and yes. I LOVE LOTR!
