Miko: (sitting in corner trying to hide the tears running down cheeks.)

Donnie whispers to Leo: Any idea as to why she is crying?

Leo whispers back: No idea, but I don't want to make it worse.

Raph: Well I don't want to watch her be like that all day. (Gets up and walks over to Miko while the other three brothers watch.)

Mikey: Five bucks says he makes it worse.

Donnie: I bet it's nothing to worry about.

Leo: I bet he has to go on the defensive so he doesn't hurt her when she freaks out on him.

(Both younger brothers just stare at him.)

Leo: What?

Both: You're on! (all watch to see who will be right.)

Raph: Hey Miko. What seems to be the problem?

Miko: (sniffles) Oh, nothing. Sorry I was so happy I started crying and I couldn't stop. Only a month or two into a story and I have over 1,000 views. I got a little emotional. Sorry if I worried you.

(Back ground: two brothers pay the genius five bucks each.)

Raph: You're all good now right?

Miko: Yup! Just thank full of how many people reviewed and read my story. First new one I posted since my father passed away.

Raph: Mind if I do the disclaimer?

Miko: Be my guest.

Raph: Miko doesn't own TMNT or any other movie or song references that may appear in this story.

Chapter: Rescue and Traitors.

The lair was quiet as the three turtles and human walked through the turnstiles deep in thought. Donnie was looking over May's instructions, Leo was trying to understand Karai's angle on all of this, and Raph was pissed off beyond all belief and wanting desperately to beat on something for hours. April on the other hand was lost on what to believe. Karai had tried to trust them before and had hated Leo for his betrayal. Could this be a trap as revenge by telling them that she was on their side? Or did she truly change for the better and really want to help them? It was all so confusing but something told her to trust Karai to some extent. She looked to her boyfriend and sighed breaking the silence. "So Donnie, what's the plan?"

"This isn't going to be easy."

"Of course it's not! Karai is part of it! What could be more difficult than working with the enemy?" Raph yelled angrily at him.

"Working with our enemy and having to be in two places at once." Donnie shot back calmly making Raph shut his trap.

Leo was next to speak finally coming into the conversation. "So we need two teams to go after the Kraang van and infiltrate the Foot's hideout. All while trying to rescue May, her father, and any information the Kraang have on us. No, that's not going to be difficult at all." Sarcasm dripped from his words as he dropped himself on to the pit couches.

Silence filled the space around them for a few moments until quiet footsteps could be heard coming closer to them. They turned to see who it was when the person stopped and cleared their throat. "Hey guys, I know it's none of my business what you did topside, but can I talk to Raph for a minute?" Mikey asked sheepishly.

The others were slightly skeptical at first but nodded. Raph walked over to Mikey preparing for another tongue lashing from his little brother. But what happened next surprised him and the others. In a low bow Mikey stood before Raph for all to see.

"I am truly sorry for my actions. I should have known better than to accuse you of not trying to stop May. You would never want anything to happen to her and I allowed my own anger to cloud my judgment for too long." Mikey apologized before standing up straight again. As he looked into his big brothers eyes he managed to hold back the tears that threatened to fall. He truly was sorry for how he acted. It was uncalled for and so un-Mikey of him.

Raph pulled him into a head lock and rubbed his knuckles into his little brother's head. "All is forgiven little brother. What made you change your mind?" He asked letting him go so he could speak again.

"Had a talk with Master Splinter while you were out."

"The insult and anger story?" Raph guessed.

"Yup." Mikey gave him a small grin.

"Good story, really gets your head on straight doesn't it?" Raph asked giving Mikey a soft punch to the arm.

"Yeah, and I really don't want to be the next Shredder." Mikey said shivering at the thought.

This confused the others but figured it was something between Splinter and Mikey.

~Scene Change~

May was still working on her computer when the door was roughly opened and in stepped the one man she had hoped to never see again. "To what do I owe the honor of your presence Shredder?" May said in a rather monotone voice.

Silence filled the space as Shredder looked around the room for a few moments. "It seems you have failed in creating what I have asked."

"It's not from a lack of trying." May cut in sharply not allowing this beast in front of her, be intimidating.

"I don't allow for failure. I will have what I asked for by the end of the week or you will find yourself very much alone." With a dark look, and most likely a dark smile under his mask, he left slamming the door behind him.

She glared at the door before turning back to her computer hiding her face from any cameras in the room. 'Even if I do find the formula I can't allow Shredder to have it. I have to trust in Karai and the Turtle's to break out my father before Shredder comes for him.' Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves she got back to work setting up for the attack and trying to find that formula. She was so close but yet… still so far away thanks to her dad.

~Scene Change~

The time moved slowly as the fight neared. Weapons were sharpened, plans were made, and wise words were spoken.

Donnie and Leo set up plans for both the Foot lair and the van taking the information about them to the Kraang's new hideout.

"Splinter, Raph, April, and I will head to the Foot's lair while you and Mikey will head after the van on the stealth bike." Donnie instructed while looking over a map and indicating where the Foot's hide out is and the route that the van will be taking thanks to May's instructions.

"Wait, why do you get Raph? Wouldn't it be faster to have Raph or you on my team instead of Mikey?" Leo asked.

"Normally I would go with you but that would be a danger to the mission putting Mikey and Raph together. It's just that I don't want to risk Mikey getting mad at Raph in the middle of the battle we are going to be entering. He could end up getting us all killed." Donnie said rubbing his chin and trying not to sound too harsh.

"I guess, but Mikey never bows to us when he's sorry. He normally rubs his head or pokes his fingers. Sometimes we even have to wrestle an apology out of him." Leo said now thinking about it.

"Exactly, all the more for my concern." Donnie concluded.

"I think you're being too hard on your little brother. He's truly sorry about his actions. Besides, who would want to be the new Shredder?" April asked walking into the Lab via the garage door.

"Hey April." Donnie exclaimed as he hopped over the desk and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Hi Don. So what's this talk about Mikey? I thought that was all settled?" she asked looking from her boyfriend to the leader of the group.

"It's more of who is going to be in which group. Donnie wants me and Mikey to go after the van in the Stealth cycle while the rest of you go to the Foots hideout and attack." Leo explained saving them all from Donnie's long explanations.

"What's wrong with that? Mikey's faster and someone has to keep him on track." April explained more clearly.

Leo knowing he was beat with that logical explanation gave up on arguing and went back to the map.

"Donnie can I talk to you for a minute?" April asked trying to not make him worry too much. She knew how he could over react on the simplest of things.

"Sure April, what's up?" He asked pulling her towards the garage door. He tried to look positive but his voice gave away his concern.

"I'm just concerned about May." She saw him relax more knowing how asking to talk with him must have seemed. "I know she can handle herself with her ice powers but doesn't the fact that Karai gave us this information worry you?"

"Of course it does but if we have someone other than May trying to stop Shredder from the inside, we have the greater advantage. Not to mention Leo and Raph will have a beat feast if she betrays us." Donnie said more confidently. He knew this wasn't her only concern by the look on her face. "What else is bothering you?" He asked placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Something is telling me to trust Karai. I don't know why or how but something is telling me that she really does want to believe us. Believe that we are telling the truth about her father." She explained seeming to be sure of what she was telling him but still confused as to how she knows.

Donnie thought about this for a minute trying to think of the best way to answer her. "Sensei always says to follow your instincts. And you know what else April, your instincts have never been wrong." He gave her a half smile. Trying to reassure her that everything was going to be alright.

"Thanks Donnie, you always know just what to say." She said as she hugged him, which he gladly returned.

"Anything to help."

"Are you two done over there? We need to finish this plan before night fall!" Leo called from the other side of the Lab.

Blushing, the two made it back to the table and helped Leo make a solid plan with entrance routes, exits, and meeting spots.

~Scene Change~

Shredder sat on his throne and thought of every move the turtles could make. They were sure to bring their sensei along this time. He knew they couldn't face him alone. Xever and Bradford could easily take the turtles down with Karai. She was his best weapon and his enemy's one weakness; she could never disobey him. He would soon taste victory, and be rid of the man that stole what was supposed to be rightfully his.

~Scene Change~

Karai sat in her room looking at her computer. She had finally done it. She got a sample of her father's DNA. Or at least she had believed he was her father. In reality, he was nothing more than an imposter. He had lied to her, used her, and betrayed her. The Shredder was not her father. Looking back on her life she saw how he pushed her, tried to forge her into a soldier. He never loved her, never spent any time with her unless it was training. In Japan she was taught to honor her parents, in her case, her father. But how can she honor someone who has lied to her, her entire life? Used her to get back at someone who was most likely her real father.

Well not any more. She was done taking orders from him. Leo and May were right. Shredder had been lying to her. He had no real honor. And she would not obey him any longer. When the turtles attacked, so would she.

~Scene Change~

It was nearly time. Donnie was loading the last of the supplies into a small bag to have in the Shellraizer in case something happened. They were facing off against the whole Foot clan after all and still missing two of their team because of the Kraang. But if all went well they wouldn't have to worry much about missing those two for too long.

"Do you need any help Donnie?" April asked coming into the lab.

"Nope, all finished, I just hope I didn't forget anything." Donnie said going over his list once again.

"Medical supplies?" April asked knowing the list since she helped him write it.

"Check."

"Extra weapons for Raph?"

"Triple Check. Though why he insists on so many is beyond me." Donnie said scratching his head looking back at the Shellraizer astounded that he was able to fit so many in there.

"He just wants to be prepared. You know how he's been about May." She said reassuringly. He smiled down at her before kissing her cheek in thanks before returning to the list. "So got your bo staff?" April asked innocently.

Donnie reached back for it with the word 'yes' on the tip of his tongue only to grasp thin air. Confused he look over his shoulder to where his staff was supposed to be only to find it missing. "Where is it?" he asked confused he was sure that he had it on him only moments ago. Looking around the lab all he could find was April with a small smile on her face. One that made him stop for a moment, before realizing her hands were behind her back. "April, where's my bo staff?"

April gave him a confused look before looking around the lab. "I'm not sure. I haven't seen it lately which is why I asked." Her voice was innocent but there was a hint of mischief that Donnie had come to notice thanks to Mikey.

"April, you better give me my staff." He said in a teasing manner telling her that he was on to her.

She blinked at him trying so hard not to smile. "I don't have it Donnie." Her lips curving ever so slightly to give it away.

"Me thinks the lady doth protest too much." Donnie said making April not only blush at his old English but also that he was flirting with her while being intimidating all at once.

Two could play at this game and so far she was winning. "If I good sir doth protest too much then perhaps thy has asked too much of me." her blush intensifying as he drew closer to her so that his arms were nearly on her hips.

"I don't believe so." In a swift motion he grabs what's behind her back and pulls it out only to be completely confused a second later when he looks at it. Behind her back was not his staff. It was a small thin cylinder no longer than his hand and no wider than a tube of spray cheese that Mikey likes to add to his pizza smoothies. "What's this?" he asks her confused.

"Surprise." She says grinning at him now. "I spent all week working on it. I used the metal from the Kraang droids to form it so it won't brake so easily and there are two buttons on it. The bottom one makes it longer and the top one releases your blade. I asked master Splinter if he could make the blade for you. I know how your Bo Staff keeps braking and this way you don't have to worry about it half way through the fight." April explained. "Go ahead and try it out."

He looked from the small device to his fantastic girlfriend. How did he manage to get so lucky? "Thanks April." He stepped back a bit before pushing the first button only to have the blade come out.

"Oops, guess I had it upside down." April said with a small sheepish grin.

"That's alright. At least I know which button is which now." He reassured her. After all he did grab it out of her hand to start with. He pushed the second button and the small piece of metal became a 6' staff. He twirled it around in his hands for a moment without the blade and then once more with the blade. It was easy in his hands and was slightly lighter than his regular bo staff. "This is great April. Thank you." He gave her a quick kiss on the lips before pulling away with a blush on his face.

"You're welcome. I'm glad you like it." Her blush never leaving her cheeks.

"Are you two done?" Raph asked irritated from the entrance of the lab. He had the old staff in both his hands. Apparently he had snapped it in half.

April shuffled her feet while Donnie rubbed the back of his head. "I'll take that as a yes." Leo said before walking in with a small grin on his face.

"Let's Roll Dudes!" Mikey says jumping over Raph and heading for the Shellraizer. "And Dudette."

"I do believe it is time to go." Splinter said as he walked into the lab. "Is everything ready Donatello?"

"Yes sensei." Donnie said placing his new staff into his belt seeing as in its small form it wouldn't be very accessible from his back. He picked up the last bag and placed the strap over his shoulder.

"Then let's move out!" Leo said ushering everyone to the Shellraizer.

Splinter stopped Donnie for a moment making his brilliant son turn to him. "I hope your mind is on the mission and not just on April my son." Splinter said. Concern was in his eyes about his son.

"I know she will be just fine. She can handle this without any problems. We are all there to help her if she needs it. May and her Father are our main priority." He reassured his father before walking to catch up with his brothers and April.

"As well as escaping with our lives." Splinter muttered more to himself than anyone else.

~Scene Change~

The Shredder sat on his throne waiting for his officers to stand at attention. Xever, Bradford, and Karai all bowed to him on one knee waiting for him to speak. Standing slowly he watched them for a few moments before walking down a few steps and stopping. Two seemed to flinch with every step he took giving him satisfaction. "Xever, you will take the front entrance, Bradford, you will take the basement, while Karai will take the roof. Your foot bots are already there. I want the turtles brought to me alive. And if their master should show his face, take him down but leave his life intact. I will be the only one to finish him off." He ordered. With a wave of his hand Xever and Bradford left, Karai stayed behind to speak with her father.

"Father, if I run into Hamato Yoshi, may I take be the one to take him out?" She figured if she asked this if any doubt he may have had of her loyalty would be diminished.

"Only if you bring him to me. Then we may see if you can destroy him." he turned his back to her knowing she would take that as her signal to leave.

Making his way back up to his throne he heard the doors close and waited with anticipation on how his old enemy will attack. 'Soon Hamato Yoshi, your life will be in my hands and I will destroy you with the one thing you hold dear, your daughter.'

~Scene Change~

The turtles, Master Splinter, and April were in the Shellraizer. Mikey and Leo stood so that it would be easier to get to the stealth cycle. Raph was driving, April was at the weapon controls and Splinter took up navigation.

"Alright, we are a block away from the Foot's lair, Leo and Mikey the Kraang are around back but don't engage contact until they are a few blocks away. That way there will be fewer Kraang to deal with. Raph pull over into the ally on your left." Donnie instructed.

Once the Shellraizer was stopped Mikey and Leo jumped into the hatch holding the stealth cycle. Before Mikey disappeared he said one last thing. "Don't have too much fun without us." And he quickly closed the hatch behind him.

Everyone shook their heads while April spoke. "He has a weird sense of the word 'fun'."

Raph released the cycle and they were gone. "Well that takes care of one of our problems. Now what's the plan?"

"This is where we split up. Master Splinter and April will take the roof and you and I will take the front. Karai says that May is held in the basement. So that will be the most heavily guarded area. But we want to head for the throne room first." Donnie explained. All agreed and they headed out. This battle was not going to be pretty.

~Scene Change~

May sat in the lab looking through all of her failed experiments hoping to find one that would react positively. She was trying to ignore the commotion outside of her room. She knew that the security around the lab was going to increase but the big brute outside was rather annoying. Apparently when no one was around he liked talking to himself.

"When those turtles get here they won't know what hit 'um!" Bradford said outside the lab door.

May could only shake her head at the muttering Bradford was sputtering. He must be truly lonely to be talking to himself like this. Makes her almost feel sorry for him; after all he was transformed into a dog like mutant. But then again he did work for a deranged sociopath. "Do you mind keeping it down out there? I'm trying to work with highly combustible materials in here!" She yelled at him through the door.

A softer mutter was heard but not understandable. Apparently he wasn't going to answer her.

With a sigh she went back to her actual work. Yes, she was working with combustible chemicals, but what she was doing with them was all part of her plan. The Kraang had all left so it was safe to work on her escape plan. She knew that once the door was gone she would only have a few moments before the foot bots and Bradford would storm in to find out what happened.

~Scene Change~

Leo drove the stealth cycle a block or two behind the Kraang van before they were a good distance away from the foot's lair. They didn't need any more company than what they had. Mikey sat slouched down behind Leo. It was a tight squeeze but manageable for a little while. Thou Mikey didn't seem to see it that way.

"Hurry up dude. It's getting hard to breath back here." Mikey wheezed out.

"Just a little longer Mikey. We want to be sure reinforcements won't show up." Leo explained as he started to inch closer to the Kraang but still stayed a good distance away.

"I'll try."

It didn't take much longer. Three blocks down the road Leo sped up and cut the van off making them stop in their track. Hopping out of the van the Kraang fired on the stealth cycle. All the shots ricocheted off of the cycle forcing the Kraang to stop. One of the Kraang had been hit with its own laser shot.

One moment the stealth cycle was sitting completely covered the next it was open and the Kraang were bombarded with Shuriken as the two turtles came out moments later weapons at the ready.

Leo slashed through the first two bots while Mikey made his way towards the van before they were shot at once more. Leo deflected a few shots with his katanas while Mikey jumped over the robotic heads of Kraang and took them out quickly.

Leo's job was to be the back-up while Mikey made his way to the van and grabbed whatever it was they were transporting. Be it a disk or something that just needed to be destroyed, Mikey was the fastest to get the job done. Donnie was right; if Raph had come instead of Mikey he would have wanted to fight the Kraang more than worry about the van.

Leo managed to stay on Mikey's tail while smashing Kraang and avoiding laser fire at the same time. He needed to stay close to Mikey in case something happened and they needed to get out quickly. While Mikey was fast he also lost track of what was happening around him at times.

Mikey kept beating Kraang bot after Kraang bot that got in his way. The van was only a foot in front of him but he needed to get the door open first. As he smashed one of the Kraang bots a 'Brain thing' that was a Kraang crawled out and onto Mikey. He proceeded to shake the Pink alien off and threw him into the vans back door forcing it to open. Hopping inside he made his way to the center where a box was.

Leo watched as the Kraang seemed to move away from the van and more towards him. 'Why would they move away from the thing that is important; when their enemy is about to take it from them?' He thought about this for a moment before he realized what it was. 'Oh no, Mikey!' Moving quickly he went for the Stealth Cycle. It seemed harder now that the Kraang where starting to surround him. 'I have to get to the cycle. If what is in that box is what I think it is, Mikey is in big trouble. I can't let these stupid Kraang get in my way. My Brother Needs Me!' With that last thought he crouched down with his swords crossed over his head. as soon as the Kraang had made a tight circle around him, he went into a spin forcing all the Kraang around him to be not only hit by his blades but pushed back with enough force to sent them flying into the buildings around them.

For a split second no one moved. Leo took a quick breath before jumping over a Kraang he had sliced into pieces earlier and got onto the Cycle. He needed to get to Mikey before he opened that box or he could very well be down one little brother. Revving the Stealth cycle up, he spun the tired and went into a donut to build speed before punching the gas and hopping over the Kraang towards the back of the van.

Mikey was about to open the top when he heard the roar of the cycle. 'Better make this quick before Leo thinks I'm just playing games.' Mikey slowly lifted the lid of the metal box.

A large explosion could be seen blocks away. It originated from the Kraang van that was now in flames and smoking.

~Scene Change~

Donnie and Raph snuck around the side of the building getting ready for a sneak attack. Seeing Fishface standing guard with the foot bots Raph indicated that he wanted Xever and that Donnie could handle the bots. With a nod of agreement they climbed up the side and got into a good position to attack. Taking their weapons out, Donnie counted down from three with his fingers before they attacked.

Raph instantly went for Fishface while Donnie made a path for him by smashing a few foot bots that seemed to get in the way. The new bo staff was working wonderfully, there were endless possibilities to what he could do with it. Shrink it, allowing the bots to get closer and then release it smashing two bots and then spinning to take out the rest. He could even use it as a normal knife. Shrinking the staff and releasing the blade allowed him to make the best use of hand to hand combat like moves and slice a few heads off.

Raph was slashing away at Xever who was dodging blows and landing one or two of his own. But it was the smack talk that Xever was dishing out that made Raph's blood really boil.

"You are truly pathetic. Can't even protect a girl from being captured." Xever said landing a kick on his shell making him stumble a little before swinging around.

"Shut your ugly face. I'll turn you into sushi faster than you can say..." he went to slam a sai into Fishface only to miss as he moved to the side.

"Is that really the best you can do Reptile? I've seen snails have faster comebacks than you!" he went to kick Raph in the plastron but missed as Raph moved out of the way and landed three punches to Xever's face.

"What are you getting at gills on wheels?" slamming a foot into Xever's gut making the Fish stumble backwards.

"It is too bad that girl you had is only going to be around a little while longer." A cocky grin came to his fishy face making Raph stop in his pursuit a moment.

"Is that a sign of surrender Fishface? Doesn't seem like you." Raph replied back with a grin of his own.

"Oh, no, you miss understand me my reptilian friend. Shredder is going to do away with her in front of you all!" He managed to take this moment of shock to slam a metallic foot into the side of Raph's face making him skid across the road and into an oncoming truck.

Xever watched as the truck went right over where Raph was and the next moment he was gone with the truck. "One down, one to go." He said before turning back to see the last bot get ripped through the head with Donnie's blade.

Looking up from the last bot Donnie noticed that Raph was nowhere to be found and Fishface was closing in on him. "So just you and me, huh Fishface?" Donnie said pulling his now long staff and blade out of the robotic head.

"No. Just me!" in a flash Xever attacked.

~Scene Change~

Master Splinter and April were on the roof tops watching the foot bots and Karai that surrounded the roof of the Foot's lair. Seeing his daughter was like a sore had opened in his chest. Master Splinter had to trust that she really was on their side.

"Are you sure you can do this Master Splinter?" April asked as she noticed him focus in on Karai.

"I can only do my best and hope that she really is on our side now." Splinter explained finally taking his eyes off of Karai and facing April. "Are you ready for this April?" he asked concerned. She had always had one or all of his sons watching her back. Today it was just the two of them. And if Miwa stayed true to her word they may still have a chance without having to worry about his news pupil getting into too much trouble.

"I may not be as experienced as the guys but I can at least keep those foot bots off your tail for a little while." April said confidently.

Splinter gave her an odd look until she realized what she had said.

"No pun intended Sensei." April added as an afterthought.

They were silent for a few moments until they noticed Karai head to the opposite side of the roof. It was the best time to attack. Splinter and April made their way from their hiding spot to the foot clan's roof and started smashing bots. Splinter slashed his katana threw every bot that got in his way. He needed to make quick work of them before April was over whelmed or Karai could betray them.

As the last bot near him fall to the ground, a scream filled the air making him spin around to see what had happened. A bot had April in a grip with her arms trapped at her sides and blades coming close to her neck.

Splinter made his way over to her only to be stopped by Karai, who landed right in front of him. "Not this time." Her voice was dark and threatening as she listened for what was to happen behind her.

Splinter was forced to watch April struggle. She managed to kick the foot bots with the blades away from her but in the process she forced the one holding her to stumble backwards over the edge taking her with it.

"April!" Splinter shouted.

"Now it's just you and me!" Karai said taking out her weapon and attacking Splinter.

~Scene Change~

Shredder sat watching the screens. The red turtle was done for, and the purple one was nearing his end as well. The other two that had gone after the Kraang were roasting leaving the girl that fell to her doom. Turning off his camera's he waited for Karai to bring him Hamato Yoshi. And then his vengeance will be all the sweeter as he allows Karai to end his Mutated enemy's life.

A moment later the doors to his throne room open as Karai leads a battered Hamato Yoshi to him. A grin is hidden behind his face mask as he takes in the sight of his enemy on his knees before him. "So Hamato Yoshi, we meet again. But this time we have brought you to your knees!" Shredder said standing and slowly making his way down to his opponent.

"I may be on my knees Oroku Saki, but I do not consider myself defeated!" Splinter spoke strongly.

A dark cackle filled the room as Shredder looked down on Splinter fire and accomplishment in his eyes. "Your so called children have fallen at the hands of my soldiers. And now Yoshi, it is your turn!" He raised his blade to strike down on Splinter when the floor began to shake. Something had happened down below.

"What was that?" Karai asked shocked that such an explosion didn't take the whole building down.

"Go find out." Shredder ordered before walking back up to his chair.

Karai bowed for a moment before running out the door to find out what had happened.

Shredder looked back down at Yoshi before he noticed the glare from his enemy. "Aren't you happy to see Karai alive and well Hamato?" His voice full of pride at what he had truly done.

"My daughter's name is Miwa! And she will be well when she is far away from you!" Splinter got to his feet still glaring at Shredder.

"Such big words from a no account Rat!" Shredders anger was rising but he kept his cool around Hamato. He didn't need him to know that he was starting to get under his skin.

"The only Rat around here is you, Oroku Saki! Your world revolves around lies! You lie to my daughter, you lie to your soldiers, and you lie to yourself! Tang Shen could never love you, for your heart is filled with hatred and dishonor!" the ropes fell away from his body. At better inspection Splinters claws were the reason behind it.

"So, you still wish to fight me, even knowing that your daughter will hate you for the rest of her life." Shredder said drawing both of his blades from his armor.

"I would rather her be free from your influence than have her love me now. I would do anything for my Miwa!" Splinter yelled as he attacked Shredder.

Shredder swung his sword at him but missed as Splinter slid underneath it and got behind shredder. Kicking him in the back he sent his enemy down the stairs but he recovered and turned to face Splinter.

"Always the slick one Yoshi, but I have some new moves as well." Shredder ran up the stairs and just as he was about to slice at Splinters head he ducked down in anticipation of Splinters Dodge. Slamming his left arm into Splinters gut and sending him across the room and into the wall.

Splinter managed to stay conscious as he jumped from the wall to the floor holding his stomach for a moment. "You may think you still have the upper hand here Saki, but I have been practicing as well." He jumped from side to side of the room making Shredder follow him until he disappeared into the darkness.

"Very clever Yoshi, but you cannot hide forever." He called out to the shadows.

"Who said I was hiding?" Splinter said from behind the Shredder. He attacked with ten quick jabs to the back and a final kick to the other side of the room.

Shredder groaned for a moment before getting back onto his feet. He would not go down so easily.

They stared each other down for a moment, waiting to see who would move next. Seconds later a crashing could be heard from above, and five figures could be seen in the center of the room.

Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, Donatello, and April O' Neil all stood ready to fight. Shocking Shredder where he stood. "My soldiers Destroyed you! How are you still alive?"

"It seems you put too much faith in machines and three ninja's." Splinter said as he walked down the stairs towards his family. "You are outnumbered and out skilled Shredder. Surrender and we will not hurt you."

"I will never surrender to the likes of you Hamato Yoshi." He glared at the six in front of him. taking out the turtles on his own is an easy task but Yoshi will not stand by allow him to simply dispose of them. But even taking out the turtles would distract Yoshi long enough to make an attack.

With both blades out he ran at the turtles and made a double slash forcing them to separate. He went after the weakest first. The orange one, his nun chucks could defend against his blades but only for so long. He slashed a few times forcing Mikey into a defense while blocking any move from the others including spinning on his heel and kicking Splinter across the room. Once he had Mikey defenseless he went for the kill, only to have it blocked by a metal rod that seemed to be as strong as his swords. "So you wish to die first? Very well!" Kicking the orange turtle away ha went after the one in purple.

"You may think you have the upper hand Shredder but we have something better!" Donnie said as he blocked and dodged any attack that came his way unfortunately he miss calculated and was kicked not only once in the plastron but twice more in the back of the shell sending him across the room and behind the throne chair.

April threw her tessan at Shredders head only for him to go after her next. Now defenseless she would be an easy target to use against them. But he never reached her as the red one got in his way and managed to send him a few feet back.

"It doesn't matter who I take out first. None of you will be able to leave this room with your lives!" Shredder yelled as he pressed hard on Raph forcing the muscle bound turtle to reluctantly go into a defense which wasn't very strong. Shredder gained the upper hand once more sending the strongest turtle into Splinter sending them both back against the wall and down into the water.

The blue one and leader of the four attacked next. "It will be a pleasure to take you down." Shredder said with a grin in his voice. His swords already crossed ready to attack.

Leo readied an attack before a grin came to his face and one word passed his lips. "Baka." The moment that word left his lips, his eyes turned white and he charged at Shredder full force. Enraged, Shredder ran at him and slammed his blades into his opponents. No one called him stupid. Leo tried to get the upper hand by making Shredder think he had it and then spinning down into a crouch and slamming a foot into Shredders check forcing him back a foot or two. Coming back up flipped over his enemy's head and used both katana to block Shredders attack. Landing behind him he tried to kick him again only to have his foot grabbed midair and then slammed into the floor and kicked across the room.

Splinter would have no more of Shredder treating his sons like rag dolls. Coming up on Shredder he tried to land an attack but was black and forced back a step before having to go on the defensive. Shredder was tiring but not enough to become an easier opponent to defeat. There had to be something he could do to stop him. Then, an idea came to him. In one swift movement Splinter dodged a strike, slid to the side of Shredder and pinched a nerve in his exposed under arm stopping his movements for a short time.

The turtles and April gathered around their sensei, still ready to fight. "We can easily take you down right now Shredder. You have a choice. Release the ones you have taken from us and we will allow you to live and go back to Japan where you belong!" Splinter said calmly as he stayed a good distance away should Shredder gain feeling sooner than expected.

"You think a simple pressure point move will stop me Yoshi? You have grown foolish with age. I would never surrender to the likes of you." Shredder said with difficulty while attempting to gain feeling back. It would only take a moment more.

"The foolish one is you, if you believe that we will fall so easily." Splinter said wisely.

His words made Shredder think of what May had said to him the first time she arrived here. 'No matter how the wind howls, the mountain cannot bow to it.' Anger grew in his chest as he gained all feeling back in his limbs. "So Yoshi, you believe to be the Mountain while I am the Howling wind?!" he yelled as he moved his arms and got into a better fighting position.

Before anyone could move the doors to the room opened and in stepped Karai. A hidden smile came to Shredders face as he watched the others tense. "Perfect timing Karai. You may have the turtles while I take down their master." He ordered before moving towards their sensei.

"Not so fast Shredder!" a new voice filled the air. One that made Shredder spin to see if what he was hearing was true. May stood next to Karai glaring darkly at who she had addressed. "You have lied and hurt enough people around here. You will not be allowed to hurt anyone again!"

"Karai! What is the meaning of this?!" Shredder yelled at his daughter.

"My name is Miwa!" Karai yelled at him as May grinned from ear to ear.

"You have no one Shredder. No lackeys, no soldiers, nothing. Surrender with honor and no harm will come to you!" May said as the two girls walked forward.

Everyone surrounded Shredder forcing him to make a decision. But no one liked his choice.

Shredder glared at everyone around him. "You may have defeated my soldiers, disposed of my lieutenants, and taken my pawn away. But you have not bested me!" in one swift motion Shredder had May by the neck and had one of his swords at her throat. "Make one move towards me and she dies where she stands." He threatened.

Raph's anger started to boil forcing Leo to hold him back from attacking. "You dirty rotten son of a…"

"Raphael. No sudden moves." Splinter warned as his eyes never left May. She was holding onto Shredders hand and arm that were holding her in the air. "Besides, I think it's time May has her chance to prove herself."

Shredder looked at Splinter confused for a moment before laughing at him. Miwa looked from her rat father to her old friend being held in the air by the father that had raised her. She couldn't tell what was going on till she turned to see May smiling.

"You know… Shredder…" May started saying even though it was getting harder to breath. "I never… liked… you!" In seconds ice started to form around his arm forcing him to drop May. As Shredder tried to shake off the ice that had formed on his arm, May took a few deep breaths to get air back into her lungs. The turtles, Miwa, April and Splinter had stayed where they were thankfully. "Now that I can breathe Shredder, you're in big trouble."

Shredder could only stare as Snow and ice surrounded May. "A mutant!" he said in awe.

"Call me what you want Shredder, but nothing is going to change." May said as her power increased yet didn't get anywhere near the others behind her. "You lied to Karai, stole her from her real father, used her to get back at him, and tried to destroy my friends." May ranted at him.

A dark chuckle came from him as he stood watching her. He didn't care that she had snow powers. It wasn't as strong as his armor. "As long as you're listing off all things I have done. Why not add your mother to the list. I ordered Bradford to strike your car. Though her death was not part of the plan it happened anyways. Yet another useless woman gone from this world." A darker more menacing laugh filled the air around them.

The snow stilled around her as May took in his words with everyone else. "You were the cause for my parent's crash? The reason my mother is gone? The reason my father is in a Coma?!" Snow began to grow in size forcing everyone but two to back away from her.

"Your worthless mother was not my target. Your father was. If he had just given me what I had wanted she could have still been alive." Shredder shot back.

"May don't let him anger you! He isn't worth your vengeance. Let him live with what he has done!" Raph yelled to her, making her stop with her arms half raised into the air.

May thought about his words for a moment. He was right, though he was the cause for the accident he didn't mean for her mother's death. But that did not make her mother worthless. She needed to send him a warning to never mess with her family ever again. Looking over her shoulder for a moment she spoke to Raph. "Do you remember the first movie we watched together? The part I walked in on?" She asked with a small smile.

Raph was completely confused by what she was getting at. What did a movie have to do with anything that was going on? But he could never forget that first movie night they all had together. "Yes, why?"

"I think it's about time 'I Let It Go'." May answered. Before he had a chance to ask what she was talking about she looked back at Shredder who was getting ready to strike her down. In an instant snow and ice covered Shredder from all sides; forcing his feet to the floor, freezing the water in the tanks, and making his armor become stiff. "I will never let you harm my family Shredder. You stay away from my Friend, stay away from my Father, and Stay Away from Me!" this little storm was well contained only Shredder was affected by it leaving everyone else to watch.

Once May believed the ice was thick enough to last at least an hour she stopped her storm and relaxed. Thou it seemed to have taken more out of her than she though because once her breathing was back to normal she started falling to her knees. Before she could truly hurt herself in the fall Raph had caught her and helped her regain her balance.

"Easy there Spit Fire." Raph whispered to her as he helped her back on her feet.

"Ironic." She said with a chuckle. "I like ironic. Spit Fire it is."

While they were in their own little world the others were walking back up to Shredder who could only move his head. "I will hunt you down Hamato Yoshi! You can't hide forever!" he yelled at the rat Sensei.

"No Oroku Saki, it is you who cannot hide forever. The truth will be known and you will fall." With those final words they headed out at a light jog to the van that Karai had set aside for them.

~Scene Change~

Once they were all a good distance away they stopped the van and got out to stretch. It had been quiet as no one knew what to say. Karai, or Miwa as she wanted to be called now, was just looking around and taking in everything that had happened. No one knew what to say to her. And the only one that could possibly relate to her was busy checking on her father who was sleeping in a rolling bed with locked wheels.

So now they didn't really know what to do. Was she going to stay with them or was she just going to be off on her own?

A few moments later, after no one had spoken May decided to break the ice. "So, Miwa, what do you want to do now? Shredder will never let you back after all of this and I'm sure the guys would be more than happy to accommodate for you."

"Whoa, wait a second May. You don't…" Raph was silenced by a dark glare from May when he tried to protest. It was scary enough to make him bite back anything left and sit back down.

"You're so whipped." Mikey whispered as he pointed at his older brother. Raph glared at Mikey and grabbed his finger, twisting it the wrong way till he begged for mercy without even batting an eye.

"Miwa, I understand if you don't want to return to our home. To just realize that the man you thought was your father was really the one behind all your pain must be very difficult for you to take in." Splinter said as he tried not to get too emotional to his long lost daughter. It was the first time they could have an actual conversation without her yelling at him.

"It is something that I have to get used to but I'm not sure it would be right for me to go back to your home. I have to figure some things out right now and I don't think I can do that with a bunch of mutants on my back. No offence of course."

"But Miwa…" May said as she looked at her old friend with pleading eyes.

"Don't worry May, I won't get into any trouble. Mi vis sen tu non. Tu ket roteen fi tur sil, and tur fundon. Sayounara, till next time Maylie.(1)" With that Karai disappeared in a flash of smoke.

Silence filled the air as everyone turned to May in slight confusion. "Is it just me or is everyone as confused as I am as to what just happened?" Mikey asked after he couldn't take the quiet anymore.

"What did she say May?" Raph asked as he walked up to her and placed a hand on her shoulder.

A smile graced May's lips as she closed her eyes. "Words, between old friends." She turned to Raph as her eyes glittered and he knew she wasn't going to tell them what was said between the two. "Come on. Let's get my dad back to the lair." She instructed before everyone started to get back into the van.

Just before May got in to the van she turned back to the empty street and looked towards the sky. "Tu ket Roteen, Kiri.(2)" She quickly spun back around and hopped into the van before Leo took off down the street.

Up on the roof top sat Karai as she watched the van go out of sight.

Key words:

Mi vis sen tu non. Tu ket roteen fi tur sil, and tur fundon.(1) means: I will see you soon. You take care of yourself and your friends.

"Tu ket Roteen, Kiri.(2)"See you soon Karai.

Miko: I'm done!

Raph: Took you long enough! It's been what? Three weeks?

Donnie: Calm down Raph. Yelling at her won't make her work any harder.

Leo: What did take you so long anyways?

Miko: You DON'T want to know. Trust me on this. The list just got longer and longer.

Mikey: Try us.

Miko: Alright, my sister's apartment flooded, she took her sweet time moving everything, I got added extra work a week ago, and this week I went to a concert in… you guessed it, New York City! but not Manhattan. I went over two bridges to get to NASSUE Coliseum where I saw Demi Lovato perform! It was a good time. I had to stop my friend from throwing this mother and her daughter who were twice her size down the stands. But I got some Awesome pictures. Good times. So this is why it is so late.

All four turtles: (Jaws on the floor)

Miko: What?

April: That does explain why it took so long. Raph you're drooling.

Raph: No I'm not. (folds arms)

Leo: Right, and Shredder is from outer space.

(Crickets)

Miko: -_- No. Just…. No.

Donnie: So what do you think of the story so far April?

April: I actually haven't read it.

Mikey: And while Donnie tries to put his heart back together I hope you comment and review at the bottom.

Miko: I just hope you like the story. I still have another Chapter to write.
