Chapter 10 – Slumber Parties and Eavesdroppers

Alfea Two Day after Mayhem and Magical Weapons

"SLUMBER PARTY!" Stella chanted throughout their dormitory. It was the second Friday of the month which meant it was time for the Winx Club's Monthly Slumber Party Extravaganza, there's always games, gossip, pillow fights, makeovers, music, different food each month and even Truth or Dare but most importantly NO BOYS ALLOWED.

"Stella, keep it down or you'll have Griselda up here giving us a lecture on proper etiquette for young ladies," Musa yelled from her room, could hear her finishing up her latest and of course next greatest hit, "cause I don't!"

"Musa, right Stella, you need to keep it down or Griselda will have us cancel the slumber party," Flora said coming out of the kitchen try to dust flour from her apron, "Do you want that to happen?"

"No, but I'm so excited," Stella said all but dancing in place, "I've been planning out everybody's makeovers and I even made a list of Truths and Dares!"

"You really thought this one out haven't you," Tecna felt incline to say as she observed the stack of papers that Stella held in her right hand and the huge make-up box in the left, "Not much left to then for me to set up the censor barrier, I've managed to sync it to the guys DNA so we'll know if they try to eavesdrop on us again and I'll know if they have Timmy try to hack my system."

"Make it fake and obvious to them that a barrier has been set up," Bloom said carrying a stack of pillow along with Layla and Musa towing the line carrying her laptop and portable speakers, "That way they'll think twice before trying to sneak up to our balcony tonight. And in case they do try hook it up to the sprinkler system.

"I could do that, it would be a lot simpler then what I had planned but not as much fun." Tecna pouted.

"But it would give you more free time to relax tonight instead of having to constantly monitor the barrier at every little disturbance," Layla countered, "Not to mention to would be hilarious to see the guys getting wet from the sprinklers." The girl chuckled and then they pictured the guys running around like ogres with their heads cut off because of the sprinkler system and a fresh roar of laughter erupted through the dorm.

"That would be worth putting on the realm wide wed if you ask me!" Musa roared by the stereo system clutching her stomach, "the look on Riven's face alone would be worth a fortune in my book."

"Brandon's too…."

Blared through the air everyone turned toward the culprit….Stella. As she tried to turn off her cell phone's alarm. Of course only Stella would have an alarm like that everyone just shook their heads as she started to beat the cell phone into island-divider till the annoying ringtone stopped.

"It's for Our Slumber Party! WWWHHOOOPP WWWHHOOOP WHOOP!" Musa cheered as the rest joined in and ran to change into their PJ's. Bloom was the first back into living room wearing a pale blue pajama pants with a cute lemon yellow cami.

"I get first pick of Music!" She shouted as she plopped down on the couch.

"No fair, you cheated, Bloom!" Musa said as she flew into the room wear crimson hoodie deep blue sweats, chucking her pillow at Bloom. She asked, "What did you have in mind?" as the rest came flooding in.

Stella wore yellow mini shorts and a rose pink tank top with pink kitty slippers. Flora was dressed in a light green gown with pink and red lilies embroidered in the hem. Tecna came in wearing a deep purple tee with 'Y2 +X9 =Y-2-X-9' screen printed on the front with lime green draw-string sweats. Layla was the last to come in take a seat in her olive cargo sweat with 'If you can read this your too close' stamped on her lavender V-neck tank across her chest.

"One way ticket?" Bloom grinned sheepishly.

"Sounds perfect!" Musa approved going to her stereo setup, "At least your musical taste seem to have improved since last year." She mumbled under her breathe.

"So, how are things in class, Flora?" Tecna asked from where she sat cross-legged on the floor next to Layla's feet.

"Yeah, how did class go over with the guys, but more importantly how was Brandon?"

"It went better than I thought it would, we had a few accidents when I called on Riven to do demonstrations of connective weapon…" She said.

"What weapon was it? Musa asked as music flowed into the air,

Standing on the border
Looking out into the great unknown

"Riven ended up being chosen by the nunchakus…" Flora answered trying not to remember their last class period but not succeeding much to do with the fact that she had turn redder then Bloom's hair was a dead giveaway.

"WHAT HAPPENED!?" Stella shouted asking what everyone wanted to know.

"He ended up clocking himself in the head and in his nether region…." Flora said as she tried to shield her face as the room erupted in laughter.

"OH, to be a fly on the wall when that happened!" Layla roared along with everyone else but Musa just covered her face as her the tips of her ears turned red.

"OK , let get to some truth or dare!" Stella said, "Chop! Chop!" She clapped her hands together. "I wanna go first!"

"Fine, Stella you can go first." Bloom said as the others nodded.

"Okay, Flora." She said.

"Shoot." Flora returned as she snagged homemade Peanut butter cookie.

"Truth or dare?"

"Truth!"

"Do you like Helia?" Stella asked all but ready to chomp on a bit.

"Ummm…. Iiii…"

CRASH

As if on cue Kiko knocked one of Flora's plants off the granite countertop. But luckily after freshmen year Flora had spelled ever planter she had with a rubber gum spell that was designed to make the said pot to take the force of the fall without shattering and stick to the floor, till someone picked it up. The spell worked a little too well the plot was now sticking to the floor and balanced only on the very tip of the bottom rim of the pot very precariously, before Layla picked it up.

"Maybe a little, Helia is kind of odd but in a good way." Flora answered as the girls giggled, "My turn now… Tecna, truth or dare?"

"According to my calculation as it turns out it is more likely that I would be embarrassed by truth then any dare you could possibly think of." Tecna replied, "Dare!"

"Okay," Flora's eyes turned mischievous glint in her cat's eye green eyes, "I dare you to walk out on the balcony shout the name of the hero you love with a mega-phonous charm but don't announce your name."

"WHAT!" Tecna said turning pale.

"You said any dare I come up with couldn't embarrass you, so what the holdup" Flora smiled angelic like as she snagged popcorn.

Tecna march out on to the balcony and press her fingers to her throat muttering, mega-phonous lion-roarous. She said with her voice magnified, "I'M IN LOVE WITH COMPUTER SPECIALIST THIRD YEAR HERO TIMMY!" then dashed back into the dormitory as if the army of decay had risen once more. There was a click of the doors closing behind. The girl laughed as Tecna tripped and fell into a mound of pillows.

"Ok , my turn." She said her voice back to normal,

"I just hope the boys weren't out there." Bloom spoke what was most on our minds.

"I didn't even think he would or could hear me!" Tecna rushed over to her computer, "oh thank you, Merlin, the parameter hasn't been breached. Good!"

"Umm…Tecna…" Musa said bemused, "shouldn't you also check beyond your initial perimeter… I mean you were pretty loud…"

"AAHHHH!" She screeched, "I should have put censors farther out."

Layla gripped Tecna's shoulders ready to shake, "RELAX! So, what if he heard you like him either way. From what I saw at Red Fountain I'd bet good money he feels the same. Awe heck, I'd bet the same on Helia having a crush on Flora." Both Flora and Tecna blushed a harsh, violent red; as the others broke out into a roaring wave of giggles.

"Okay… my turn" Tecna said fire burning in her eyes, "Stella truth or dare?" grinned like a cat that caught a canary.

"Truth of course." She smiled as if she didn't have a care in the world.

"When did you forgive Brandon for the whole 'Squire Prince Swap'? And why?" Tecna ask as stella turn a violent shade of red.

"Well, you see it was after the mission to Cloud tower failed," She started, "And before I was a little He made some crack about us girls needing to be protected a very strong man but in my case a squire was all I needed. I socked him in the arm and he well just rustled my hair.
It was too cute to stay mad, he even asked me to a dinner and movie night.
And of course after his swap with sky, I let him hang a little.

Yeah, five minutes!" Muse laughed.
"What about you, Tecna? Timmy make his move yet?"

"I wouldn't call it a move, but its quite logically that's what he intended it to be but never plucked up the courage to say so" Tecna analyzed.

"Ummm...ok...so, what was it?" Stella asked very confused with the technical geek speak.

"Oh, he magix-messaged me, why?"

"Maybe I should teach both you and Musa what dating truly is." Stella rolled her eyes at ceiling. "Least Flora has made some progress in the boy department ."

"What are you talking about I'm not dating anyone?" Flora inquired.

"You, my flowery friend don't need to date to get attention," Stella said twirling her hair, "I mean Helia is defiantly interested and all you did was flip through his sketch book. Now, he's back at R.F. and giving Riven a run for his money."

"Let's not forget the heroic rescue at the reveal of the new campus," Bloom teased, "he was ready to jump through fire for you, it was really hot how he was checking you out."

Red Fountain - Boys Dormitory

"Hey, guy lets go it started an hour ago!" Brandon shouted as he walked in, the guys were in varying states of undress.

"what started?" Riven asked none to interested in what had Brandon riled up.

"The girls' slumber party, that's what! Brandon replied.

The guys frozen, then suddenly they each were rushing to get dressed.

As Helia walked in, "what are you doing?" he asked as Sky yanked on his shoes, Timmy was checking his pack's supply and Riven retched his jacket on and Brandon checking his reflection.

"The girls are having a slumber party!" Sky said reaching for his Red Fountain letterman as the others grabbed various jackets.

"Soo…What? Don't girls normally have sleepovers?" Helia asked as he was trying to consider whether or not the guys were unbalanced.

"of course they do but our girls have one a month" Timmy said Patting his pockets for his keys.

"And they have truth or dare" Riven grinned.

"And they gossip almost all night." Brandon rubs his hands greedily together.

"They even spill their deepest secrets, you know about their past and who they have a crush on." Sky injected pausing to add, "Flora's gonna be there…" he left it at that and was out the door with the others hot on his heels racing towards the leva-deck.

"Flora…" Helia tested the name on his lip. before walking back to his room. Next year he would get a roommate. Helia prayed that it wouldn't be Riven. The guy could eat, sleep and breath aggression. Helia dug through his bedside table and pulled out a drop shape disc. He moved toward the window, pressed the blue center button and dropped it just out side. The disc morphed into leva-bike, "I guess I should make sure they don't get hurt..." he mumbled to himself but not truly believing it and climbed out the window.

Helia was quicker than the others beating the whole group to Alfea. Though he was just in time to hear,"I'M IN LOVE WITH COMPUTER SPECIALIST THIRD YEAR HERO TIMMY!" be blared from what sounded like a speaker or a megaphone. Helia studied the walls of Alfea, noting the senors that were no doubt Tecna's work. Helia temping fate step through the barrier…nothing not even an alerm or the sprinkler system going off. Heemmm…must not be synced to me he thought as he carefully and stealthily scampered through the squad and scale up the girls balcony. Just in time to see the others arrive though unlike him they hadn't noticed the sensor that were blatantly oblivious.

And ran head first into the quad setting off the sprinklers, Helia couldn't resist pulling out his phone and recording the guys whole ordeal trying very hard not laugh. When heard Bloom say , "he was ready to jump through fire for you, it was really hot how he was checking you out."

"Not as hot as my Brandon though,"

Who helia though to himself, "I mean he was all but flirting with you!" Musa chimed in, the guys finially made the climb to the balcony when Musa added, "not to mention from he's sensitive, charming and down right dreamy."

"keep talking like that Musa and maybe I'll have a whole list of guys for you," Stella trilled, "I mean Riven isn't exactly Mr. Sweetheart of red Fountain or even among the guys or even to any all female fairy and creature alike."

Riven had the misfortune of hearing this and was ready to confront the Blond fairy or possibly throttle her. For such a rude comment, just before Musa replied with a, "layoff Riven Stell, he can be sweet when he wants to, along with sensitive and charming it all depends on the situation and how much he cares."

"oh… really I've never seen Riven be anything but a selfish jerk to everyone. Even me! And I'm a PRINCESS!"

"Yeah, but you have Brandon to lean on, same as Bloom and Tecna, and even possibly Flora soon, if Helia isn't slow." All eyes turn to Helia who had froze at the sound of Flora's name, His face now redder then the crimson blood of a Mace-tailed dragon. Riven was having an internally debate whether to laugh or store it for later.

That debate was cut short when Flora piped in, "I never said anything about Helia flirting with me!"

"YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO!" The girls said in unison, making Helia turn a little paler than natural.

"Let's layoff the Helia-Flora subject, even though its all but a done deal." Layla chuckled, "Let them realize that their perfect for each other!"

Out on the balcony, Helia watched as the four specialist began to shiver and shake from their sopping wet clothes. he asked as their teeth started to chatter "Should we head back?" they all shook their heads violently spraying Helia with water. "fine but I'm not nursing any of you guys." the lot roll their eyes as they leaned on the balcony doors.

Then ..POP… the doors fell open and the guys spilled in. There were cries of distress from the girls but those were short lived. Helia used his phone to see if it was safe just as Flora walked out on to the balcony. "Its safe to come in now," She said cheerfully, "The guys usually try spying on us." she pointed to the door, "it won't let them.". Helia chuckled and followed her in.

The rest of the night they spent playing 21and Pictionary. till it was so late Timmy was asleep on Tecan's shoulder and the guys had ride double with him.

Helia was last to leave saying, "see you in class, Professor."
