AN: Hope you enjoyed the last chapter and thanks to all those who have encouraged me to continue this story.

The first few weeks back at work Lisbon found easy. She once again fell into her routine of the day - putting all her focus and energy into the cases she was solving, rather than on the consultant who was, well. Who knows where. Each Friday she would go to the shrink, which she found nice, as all they would talk about was the good times she and Jane had together. Any time that Lisbon would ask something along the lines of "but why would he leave like that?" Lorry would pull her focus from it and get her started on another story.

Lisbon noticed though, as the weeks passed, and she was reminded every Friday evening of how much she loved Jane's presence, her nights alone began to turn against her. It was the end of the third month that Jane had been gone, when Lorry announced she had to go on a business trip and so her sessions with Lisbon had to come to an end.

The women shook hands, smiling and thanking each other, and Lisbon then headed towards her car, immediately feeling emotional as she went over in her head the story she had just told to her shrink about when she and Jane had gotten stuck in a shipping crate together.

"I'm always going to save you Lisbon, whether you like it or not."

Yeah, right. Where are you now then?

She got into her car and started it, just wanting to get home as tears pricked at her eyes. 3 months gone and not a word. She didn't know how to feel. Betrayed? worried? Or was it just that she missed him? She just wanted to know he was safe. But he hadn't returned any of her texts or calls.

It was a rainy night, and as she sped down the freeway her eyes began to blur.

Get yourself together Teresa.

But this time she couldn't. Her emotions took the wheel and she started to cry uncontrollably - her eyes closing for a second. When they opened she could just see through the rain, headlights of another car, a little too close for comfort. She tried to swerve away but her tires lost traction and she spun out, her attempts to get control of the wheel failed and the car slid, spinning, over and off the road.

Her foot on the brake managed to take effect just in time, her car only just hitting a tree side on. Her eyes had been tight shut and she managed eventually to peel them open and, heart beating hard, she realised she was okay. She had managed to complete a 180 degree turn though and was now just off the side of the road, against a roadside tree just before her turn off.

Cho pulled up beside her 10 minutes after she'd called him, and approached her car in the rain. She felt pathetic, but didn't know who else to call. She was obviously in shock, so Cho opened her door for her and silently helped her out of her car and into the passenger seat of his own as she quivered and sniffed in the rain.

As they drove, Cho wished there was something to say, but knew there was nothing he could. Jane had broken Lisbon's trust, after becoming the one person in her life that she had allowed herself to. The damage and betrayal was done, and all Cho could do was feel angry at Jane's selfish ass for leaving without telling Lisbon anything.

Unlike Lisbon, Cho was pretty sure that Jane was alive and well. The day he'd left, Jane had obviously provoked Wainwright with the intention of being fired. Cho figured it was so he could go rogue on Red John or something stupid like that. Frankly, he didn't care. Jane was being the selfish arrogant prick he always had been.

When they pulled up at Lisbon's house, still in the passenger seat, she broke down again, this time in embarrassment. Cho, chivalrous as always, got out of his side of the car and went round to open her door. As soon as he'd done so, Lisbon stepped out and hugged him.

"Thank you" She said, with a croaky throat.

Cho just stood there, and decided to wrap his arms around her too. Eventually she was okay, and sniffled, breaking the hug, and he walked her to her front door.

"I'll come pick you up tomorrow morning." he said.

"It's alright I'll call a cab. Really you've done more than enough."

"You sure?"

"Yeah, thank you so much."

Cho nodded humbly and walked back to his car, driving off as Lisbon went inside to have a good cry.
