Abby's eyelids fluttered open.

Something wasn't right, she could feel it. Staring up at the ceiling of the darkened bedroom, she laid there for a second as sleep slowly began to break away as she tried to pinpoint exactly what was wrong.

That's when the first cramp happened. Never before in her entire life had she felt such horrible pain. Menstruating hasn't even been this bad. Instead this is a pain she can't even begin to describe. It feels as though somebody with long sharp claws is beginning to rip her insides apart. Right away her stomach turned to knots before her eyes widened and she stiffened a cry.

Hans was laying beside her, his shirt off and dressed in his slacks. Laying beside her she saw he was breathing slowly and looked very peaceful and happy in his sleep. But then again he had every right to be…he had just found out he would be a father soon. Never before had she seen such excitement in his eyes. All he could talk about tonight was how badly he had wanted a son and how perfect he would be once he was born. Every time he touched her still very flat stomach Abby felt sick. He was talking about taking her away, far away to Germany. This scared her, she knew she had to do something.

She had drank from the vial less than a few hours ago…now here they were, laying in bed. Hans' arm draped over her in a protective manner that made her nervous.

She felt another cramp again and this time couldn't hold back. Snapping her eyes shut she cried out.

"Ah!"

She sat up waking Hans right away. Sitting up, half awake he looked at her, concern in his eyes.

"Abby?"

Abby bit her bottom lip, the pain was like fire going through her body.

"It..h-hurts!"

Hans threw back the sheet and his eyes widened in disbelief. Right away he nearly stumbled to grab the lantern that was sitting on the nightstand. It lit and right away Abby felt like she was going to throw up as the room was dimly lit. There she saw the blood.

So much blood.

It was soaked into the sheets and mattress. Her nightgown soaked as well. Blood was everywhere, dripping down her legs as more waves of cramps came.

It had worked, she was losing the baby.

The pain was horrible as she cried out. She thought she was dying.

"Jesus!"

Hans screamed. His hands went into the blood and he looked terrified. Abby then began feeling faint. The entire world around her was spinning. She thought very well that she was dying, the pain was beginning to make her vision blur and Hans' screams weren't helping. Right away Hans jumped out of bed, opening the door and fleeing into the hallway. Abby looked down at herself and honestly didn't expect it to be this bad. There was so much blood…

She wanted Wicki.

She could faintly hear Hans screaming for the doctor before rushing back inside. His face was bright red, and he looked as though he couldn't catch his breath as he ran over. The blood seemed to overwhelm him.

"STOP!"

He reached down, forcing Abby's legs together as though it might help. Another horrible cramp over came Abby as he held onto the blood stained sheets and cried. Hans leaned over her, scared to death.

"I SAID STOP IT!"

He screamed in her face.

The rest was a blur. The next thing all Abby could remember was being thrown to the floor. She didn't know if this was before or after the doctor saw her. There was still so much blood…and pain. Abby remembered hitting the wooden floor hard as Hans' hands wrapped around her neck and began to choke the life out of her. His eyes were huge and crazed.

"YOU KILLED MY SON!"

He screamed. Abby gasped for air but couldn't. Her vision was beginning to blur again and all she could see was his terrible face above her.

"YOU KILLED MY SON YOU WHORE!"

She screamed again.

Abby's eyes widened from the lack of oxygen and for a split second she honestly thought she was going to die. Thinking of Wicki's handsome face, she knew she couldn't. She wasn't ready yet. That's when her hand madly reached up towards the nightstand, scattering papers and pens everywhere.

Hans' grip around her neck tightened. Abby's legs began to beat down on the wooden floor before her fingers grasped around what she was looking for. With the last of her strength she brought it down with all her might.

The glass vase cracked and shattered on the back of Hans' head. For a brief second his hands eased up letting Abby have time just enough to breath. That's when Hans' eyes rolled into the back of his head and he fell forward completely on conscience. His body rolled off her and the back of his head was bleeding.

Abby sat up, coughing.

She felt faint but knew if she did the moment he woke up he would kill her. Quickly she scrambled up, her bare feet getting cut on the broken pieces of vase as she grabbed her bag.

There was so time.

Quickly she stuffed the new belongings she had into her bag, grabbing her boots she began to run when another horrible pain came over her. Stopping dead in the center of the room, as Hans laid on the floor she held her stomach and cried out.

There was still so much blood…

"YOU KILLED MY SON!"

The words echoed in her head. She had no idea where she was going, or if she would get caught. She just needed to get back to the others…

The ones she loved.

She knew she was bleeding badly but didn't care, she just needed to run…

Opening the door that lead to the hallway she froze in the doorway, her heart catching in her throat.

Wicki stood there, dressed in very odd looking clothes, as though he had taken them from Landa. She couldn't see if it was a uniform or not since there were ugly torn bloody bullet holes all over his chest and stomach. Beside him was a charred black body, smelling of smoke and burning flesh. The figure appeared to be Donny.

"NO!"

Abby shot up from her dream wide awake. Her eyes huge and darting back and forth. It was the middle of the night and the warm weather had just began to settle in. Her heart pounding in her chest, her hand grasped her tin necklace that laid in-between her breasts. Thin sweat began to roll down her face.

"Abby?"

Abby blinked, seeing that it was in fact just a dream and looked over. Donny was awake and sitting up, his shirt off and dressed in his worn old slacks. His dog tags laid against his chest and seemed to shimmer in the darkness of the tent.

Right away his firm hand held onto her arm, squeezing tight.

"Another nightmare?"

Abby closed her eyes, trying to breath. Finally she slowly nodded.

"Jesus that was a bad one…"

"What was it about?"

Abby opened her eyes and snorted. Very little humor in her laugh. Instead she looked exhausted, and very pale.

"I can't remember. Go figure."

Donny's large hand slowly began to rub Abby's back. Trying to smile, she saw how concerned his eyes were. So often she caught herself staring at him, amazed by how intense they were. Tonight Wicki was on guard with Omar, which left the two of them alone. It had been two whole months since they had decided on their choice of all being together.

At first Abby honestly didn't think it would work. But now, sitting here in their tent she felt like the luckiest woman in the world. She had two amazing, handsome, and kind men that loved her and looked after her. For the first time in awhile she felt as though her mistakes were finally behind her in the past. She was now part of the Bastards, and she had two men she loved more than anything who felt exactly the same way.

She honestly could say this was what she believed Heaven was like.

They had finally arrived in Paris where Aldo got word that the British were planning on teaming up with the Bastards with a top secret mission. Twice Aldo had met with different spies that claimed he would be receiving plans within a message within the next week or so for further directions. There seemed to be a mission as far as everyone knew in which one of the British would be dropped into France and meet up with them. It seemed there was a film premier coming soon which would involve some very important members of the German military. It seemed certain spies would be helping the bastards in this. Besides that, Aldo and the others didn't know anything else. The plan was Aldo would be meeting with another spy within the week or so and see what the plan was.

This was making Abby very nervous.

The last few months had done by so fast, she liked hiding out in the forest. At least three times a week they ran across Germans and ambushed them. Abby was now counted as one of the guys. She was often used in tramps to have the Germans caught. Besides that she stood back. She didn't owe Aldo any scalps but often stayed close with a rifle that Donny and Wicki had been teaching her now to fire.

Just yesterday Abby and Donny stood in a field together target practicing. At one point Abby aimed and Donny stood behind her, fixing the gun to rest against her shoulder. He stood behind her, leaning in and telling her exactly what to do in a very calm and soothing voice. As she fired at the trees, she smiled seeing how good she was getting. Finally Donny leaned in close and gently kissed her earlobe.

"Perfect…"

He whispered making her smile.

Ever since Wicki was put on guard, the two had spent the night together. The two mostly just laid together in their tent watching the lantern burn down. Abby kept folding her pieces of paper and humming as Donny laid there listening to her and gently brushing her hair with his fingers as he stared up into space.

Now here they were.

Abby turned, a slightly scared look on her face.

"I feel kinda sick…am I warm?"

Donny slid his hand against her forehead and right away his brow wrinkled.

"Yeah a little…you don't look so good either. Want me to get Utivich?"

Abby gently smiled and shook her head.

"No I'm fine…I just feel weird."

"Weird?"

"Yeah, my stomach is upset, my back is aching…I'm wicked tired. Maybe it's these stupid fucking dreams keeping me up…"

She mumbled. Donny laughed before gently laying her back down.

"It's another hour until dawn…"

Abby looked up at him and smiled.

"Yeah, which means we'll try to get some sleep until then?"

Donny grinned leaning over her. One of his hands went over and squeezed one of her breasts before gently laughing.

"I wouldn't count on it."

Abby laughed as Donny rolled over on her and began to yank down the fly to his zipper. Within minutes, Abby had to bite down on her lips to muffle the scream she wanted to let out. Donny grinned, pleased to see her reaction and kept up his pace. Sweat rolling off him and his bangs hanging in his face as his shoulders arched.

Grunting, he held onto her and began making her squirm underneath her.

By dawn they were both fast asleep. Abby laid in Donny's arms. Wicki came into the tent some time later. The men had another hour to sleep and the ones on guard were allowed to sleep until the afternoon. Exhausted, he smiled seeing Abby and Donny and he slowly began to undress. Crawling in, he laid beside Abby and gently kissed her bare shoulder blade before rolling over and falling asleep.

By mid-afternoon Wicki awoke to find himself alone in the tent. He had finally been able to catch up on his sleep and felt completely refreshed as he slowly sat up and cracking his neck. Looking over at the wool planets and bags, he saw Abby's things and his heart ached in his chest.

She had been so good about everything, so understanding. She shouldn't have been tugging around in the dirt and mess of the forest. She deserved to be someplace nice. Someplace such a beautiful lady like herself should be. He knew she didn't like to be looked at that way, but it was true. She was special…Donny and himself could see it. She had also been through so much…

Popping a cigarette into his mouth, he heard thunder starting to rumble in the distance. Sitting up in the tent, he found his lighter and lit his smoke before taking a deep breath.

She really was one of them now. A bastard…

He had seen her fire her gun at the Germans, help trap them, and cheer whenever the men scalped the Nazis or killed them in horrible ways. She had changed in a way. He saw how distant and intense her eyes seemed at times, mostly whenever they made love.

Her stockings were torn, her skirts and dresses dirty. She now wore slacks, her hair tied back, and large dark circles around her tired looking eyes. There was blood stained and caked under her fingertips.

The men enjoyed her now, even Aldo. She was one of them. She pulled her weight, never caused trouble, or asked her extra attention. She was tough. Sometimes, Wicki would catch himself staring at her as she walked through the darkness of the forest with the men. Her cowboy boots covered with mud. Twigs and leafs in her air. Her hands and palms cut, and her face pale. This wasn't any place for a woman.

Yet she claimed she wouldn't ever leave. As long as Donny and himself were there, she would be. She claimed fate had brought her here and she wasn't about to leave without them. Most nights after Donny and her would all make love together, he would listen to her gentle breathing, staring up at the stars and wondering if this was the right thing he was doing in keeping her here with them.

Would they ever be the same after this war if they lived? So many people were dying, and they were caught in the middle.

He knew if anything ever did happen to him Donny would look after her. They had a silent understanding about her, and knew they would die for her.

Some nights after she was fast asleep in-between them the two would lay awake in the darkness talking. It really didn't matter about what, they just talked for hours in low voices so they wouldn't wake her.

Wicki liked Donny, he was different and very misunderstood. Once he asked about Boston and Donny eyed Abby.

"I have family…but after everything I've done, I honestly don't know if I could ever go back."

Wicki nodded in agreement. He knew exactly where he was coming from. Somehow, they were in between Heaven and Hell here.

All they had were each other.

Grabbing his shirt, Wicki dressed before heading out of his tent. It was just beginning to gently rain. Aldo was sitting up on a rock and talking with the men. Pulling his jacket on he walked over, yawning.

Donny and Abby were standing together. Donny's hands on Abby's shoulders. They turned and Abby smiled seeing him. He walked over still smoking his cigarette.

"What's going on?"

Aldo made contact with the spy again, I guess there's a mission after all."

Raising an eyebrow, Wicki listened as Also began. The other stood around, either smoking or washing up as he spoke.

"We'll be heading to a village within the next week or so. Called Nadine, it seems a British spy will be joining us."

Everyone exchanged confused glances as Aldo smiled.

Later…

The British spy, a man that Aldo heard went by the name of Hicox would be joining them within the next couple of days. Within a week they would be heading to that small village in France Aldo that spoken about. It seemed there was a mission the government knew only the bastards could handle. They would team up with this man named Hicox who seemed to speak perfect German, along with being a German film critic. At first this made no sense until Aldo explained.

They were meeting their spy in the village who would give very important information about their mission. It seemed this spy was none other than the famous German actress . Bridget von Hammersmark. The second Aldo said this everyone exchanged glances.

"Who's that?"

Abby asked, in a low voice to Wicki.

Wicki took a drag of his smoke and whispered…

"She's a famous German actress. I'll be damned knowing why she would be fighting for the other side."

"Maybe like why you decided to?"

Wicki smiled, wrapping one arm around her waist before kissing her cheek. Abby smiled and even Donny smiled as he tried to listen to Aldo.

It seemed they were going to need Wicki and Stiglitz for this. Right away both men looked up and Abby seemed confused. Aldo nodded.

"We need us men who speak perfect German. You're going undercover."

This was something both Wicki and German knew perfectly well about. They had done it dozens of times and knew that was the real reason why they were chosen to be in the bastards. Abby looked at Donny who shook his head, he was just in the dark the same as her.

Aldo explained Hicox, Wicki, and Stiglitz would be meet Von Hammersmark at a bar in this small village. Hicox would bring German uniforms they would dress in. There the actress would explain very important details of their mission.

"Mission?"

Omar asked.

Aldo grinned before pointing to a wooden create he had by his feet. Opening the lid, everyone leaned forward to see exactly what he had.

There he pulled out the TNT. Everyone stepped back a bit and Aldo grinned.

"Seems that Joseph Goebbel's new film Nation's Pride will be making a nice little premier in Paris. We're planning on using Ms. Hammersmark to get us inside, where we're gonna plant some bombs and blow the whole fucking place up."

Everyone stared in disbelief.

Now here they were.

It was lightly raining and Abby sat in-between Donny and Wicki. There was a small pond they were looking down on, and the nice cool raindrops felt good against Abby's skin. She felt very tired, and worn out lately. She didn't seem to want to eat anymore, and felt dizzy all the time. She blamed most of this on the nightmares…

But she didn't want to worry Wicki and Donny. Instead she kept silent, sitting between them with her legs stretched out. Her cowboy boots were beginning to slowly get cleaned off by the falling rain. The sky was overcast and gray.

Somehow the water down below looked like glass.

Wicki and Donny were talking about the mission Aldo had informed them in on. To Abby it seemed risky. She didn't like the idea of Wicki having to be one of the men who went undercover, and then go into that Nazi premier risking his life. The thought of it made her sick.

In fact, the acid in her stomach bubbled, causing her to gently out her hand over her mouth. Her head really was pounding. Sighing, she sat back listening to both of the men speak. Their voices sounding so much different.

"Do you think we can trust this Hicox or this actress?"

Donny asked Wicki.

Wicki shrugged, on his second smoke.

"We'll have to."

"I don't understand why both you and Stiglitz has to go. I mean what if something happens. Nobody else speaks good German."

Wicki eyed Abby, seeing she was upset. Gently rubbing her back he smiled.

"Don't worry my love, much like yourself I can take care of myself."

Donny smirked but Abby wasn't amused.

"I have a bad feeling about this…"

Wicki nuzzled the side of her neck.

"Think, maybe after this we'll be one step closer to going home. We can teach Donny how to ride a horse on a farm."

Donny laughed rolling his eyes.

"Oh yeah, that would be some sight."

Abby smiled before Wicki's brow wrinkled.

"Are you okay? You don't look so good."

Donny looked at Abby.

"I was telling her that earlier."

Abby shrugged.

"I'm just tired…and worried."

Donny and Wicki stared at each other before smiling. Very gently Wicki began to kiss Abby's fingertips.

As the rain continued to pour, Abby found her skirt being yanked up. Laying on the wet ground, Donny tore open her blouse revealing her breasts and her necklace that laid against her smooth skin. Wicki went first.

He laid on top of her, gently staring down at her face before their eyes locked. Smiling, he leaned down and nuzzled his face against hers. Softly he began kissing her face, all the way down to her neck. Donny watched, his eyes focused.

Wicki cocked his head to the side before smiling, kissing her gently he pushed himself up inside of her and made her softly cry out. Looking down at her, he smiled.

"Don't worry my love, nothing is going to happen, nothing."

He moved again, making Abby shut her eyes and enjoy the feeling of floating away. Wicki was so gentle with her, so slow and caring. By the time he finished, he muffled against her skin and brought himself out. Softly kissing her, he stood up and began to buckle his pants.

Donny came next.

Abby watched as Wicki leaned against a tree, cupping his hands to light his smoke. Donny was on top of her, right away yanking down his fly. It seemed whenever they weren't killing Germans all they were doing was making love.

Donny hovered above her. Looking down on her face, for a brief second he looked like the gentleman only herself and Wicki knew. The three of them shared something special. A connection nobody could ever explain.

He opened her legs and when he buried himself inside of her she cried out, her nails digging against his tanned back. Donny smiled, trying to lift himself off slightly before finding a pace.

Abby laid there, as he moved inside of her and stared up at the falling rain as it hit her face. She honestly could say, being with these two men was Heaven.

Donny lasted a bit longer, when he finished he was sweating and completely out of breath. Rolling off, he took deep breaths before Abby hiked herself up on her hands and looked around. Wicki knelt down beside her and gently began kissing her neck. Donny who was zipping back up his fly smiled and ran his hands through his hair.

Sitting up, he took turns with Wicki kissing Abby. It was nearly nightfall when they saw how late it had gotten. They had made love twice since then again, and found themselves soaked from the rain which was now picking up.

The thunder sounded louder.

Donny offered to give Abby a piggyback ride back to camp. As the three of them reached the tents and small fire that was going despite the rain Abby suddenly felt terrible. Donny let her down and she held her stomach.

What was wrong?

Making a face, she tried to head over to the tent so she could change into fresh dry clothes. Instead she stopped as Donny and Wicki had started talking to Stiglitz and Utivich who had began eating their dinners.

The smell of the food and rain seemed like too much. Suddenly everything began to spin. Holding her stomach she turned her head and threw up as hard as she could into the bushes. Right away the men froze and looked.

"Abby?"

She hunched over, her hands laced together as she threw up anything she had ate in the last forty-eight hours or so which wasn't very much. The horrible acid taste filled her mouth as her face crumbled and she spit before another batch traveled up her throat. Dry heaving, her horrible gags could he heard a mile away. The others who were sitting in the shelter of their tents all looked out, raising eyebrows as they tried to see what was going on.

Wicki was the first to go to her, walking behind her he put his hands around her waist as she yakked and let out another mouthful of vomit. Her throat was burning and she felt faint. Wicki held her in place before slowly rubbing her back.

Abby cried before spitting the last of the mess onto the ground. Omar and Utivich eyed each other as Donny hurried over. Right away he looked at Wicki.

"What's wrong with her?"

Wicki's hard face seemed concern as he cocked his head to the side and slowly helped her to stand. Her bangs hanging in her face she used the back of her hand to wipe her mouth.

She looked very pale. Donny walked over, carefully brushing her bangs away from her face. Just a few weeks ago he had given her another haircut, which Abby noticed was something he took pride in.

In fact he had brought his razor and scissors and constantly was keeping up with the men's haircuts. Looking at her, he brought her in close as Abby cleared her throat.

"I feel sick guys, can I lie down."

"Of course."

Wicki said, still holding her around the waist. Looking at Donny, with the same worried eyes they brought her to the tent.

Later…

Abby had thrown up three more times. She wasn't running a fever, but seemed exhausted. Wicki and Donny had changed her into one of Donny's huge shirts. Now hovering over her in the tent, they looked at each other worried.

"She could be getting sick, I mean in this weather and everything…"

"She had said she wasn't feeling that good. Hasn't gotten much sleep…"

Abby opened her eyes and rubbed her temples.

"I feel terrible…"

Even the fly seemed terrifying out here. Yeah Utivich had some medical skill, but he wasn't a doctor. They had too often heard of men who just started with a cold and ended up dead out in these lands within just a few days.

Abby's color seemed all gone.

"Utivich poked his head in the tent; he had been the one who saw Abby wasn't running a fever.

"How is she doing?"

Donny and Wicki sat down on each side of her. Wicki rubbed one of her hands.

"She's awake."

Utivich crawled over.

"Hey Abby…"

Abby smiled.

"Hey Utivich."

Donny had lit a lantern, its dim light filled the small tent.

"Wicki and Donny said you haven't been feeling that good. What's wrong?"

Abby laid there, feeling so exhausted she could barely keep her eyes open.

"I'm just really tired. I've been getting these dizzy spells if I've been on my feet for too long or haven't had anything to eat."

"This is the first time you've started throwing up tonight?"

"No, I've been doing it the last couple of mornings this week. I feel horrible whenever I wake up."

Utivich's expression changed. Eyeing Utivich and Donny he sighed, almost deep in thought.

"Could you excuse us for second guys?"

Donny looked worried.

"Is something wrong?"

"No of course not, I just want to look her over and ask her a few more questions…"

Donny looked at Wicki across from him before Wicki nodded. As nervous as he was, he still could remain perfectly calm. Everyone sorta knew what was going on between the three of them, but never said anything. The men now liked Abby and understood how much Wicki and Donny cared for her. Like Aldo said once…

"She's a woman, but a tough woman."

Nodding, both men backed up and out of the tent, leaving Utivich alone.

It was dark out now and the rain had gotten worse. There would be more fire tonight. Most of the men were all ready fast asleep. Stiglitz who carried some blankets in his arms before quickly heading to his tent before getting too wet stopped for a moment and stared at the two of them.

"Is she okay?"

Wicki and Donny looked at each other before nodding.

"Yeah…we think so. She's just sick."

Stiglitz stared at the tent before nodding.

"Tell her I hope she feels better."

Wicki nodded before Stiglitz headed to his tent. Right away he noticed Donny's hands shaking.

"You okay?"

He asked in his smoky voice. Donny looked over, his olive green jacket thrown over his shoulders.

"I…can't have anything h-happen to h-her Wicki…y-you understand that?"

His words were breaking up, he was upset.

Wicki nodded before patting his arm. They both loved the same woman and didn't like the idea of not knowing exactly what was wrong with her.

"Don't worry Donny, she'll be fine."

Donny deeply sighed before lowering his head. His hands still slightly shaking at his sides.

Inside the tent…

Abby laid perfectly still as Utivich brought out his stethoscope.

"I didn't know you were a doctor."

Utivich smirked looking down at Abby.

"I'm not. In fact I was supposed to take over my father's bank before I enlisted."

"You didn't get drafted?"

Utivich shook his head.

"No…in fact right before my parents died I had done everything they ever wanted me to do. I think they were ashamed of being Jewish. They were always trying to fit in with these WASP types. Pretending they weren't who they were. I mean why else would they name their only kid Smithson."

Abby smiled.

"I like it. It's a good name."

Utivich blushed.

"Yeah well, enlisting and getting picked onto this team was pretty much the only important thing that ever happened to me. Believe it not coming from money isn't everything. At least now I feel like I'm doing something, as horrible as it all seems…"

"You men are very brave, trust me you're all doing something right."

"I hope so. Reading in another thirty years that the bastards were nothing but crazy soldiers doesn't exactly seem that thrilling to me."

"Please, like Aldo said you're all ghosts, you'll never make it in the history books."

Utivich grinned.

"I guess you're right. But to answer your question no, I'm not even a medic. I'm not the lucky man Aldo have a medical book to and some of the supplies in case somebody didn't get hurt that bad."

Abby smiled.

"You would make a good doctor, you have a soothing way about yourself."

Utivich smiled, still blushing.

"I'm going to listen, tell me if anything hurts okay?"

Abby nodded as Utivich leaned down, pressing the stethoscope against her stomach. Listening for a second, his eyes trying to consternate he lifted his head.

"Ummm, do you mind?"

"Oh no, not at all…"

Abby quickly unbuttoned her clothes, revealing her flat stomach.

"You don't think it's nothing serious do you?"

Utivich listened again, his smart blue eyes waiting. Finally he lifted his head, folding the stethoscope away.

"Abby, I have a few questions to ask you?"

Abby sat up, very confused.

"What?"

Later…

Donny swung his bat around. It whistled in the wind as it spun it around and swung back at the cool night air. The rain had just started to stop, and he had trying to keep his mind on something while he nervously waited.

Wicki sat against a tree out of the rain. Chain smoking, and watching Donny.

Finally Abby walked over, Utivich's coat thrown over her shoulders. Donny and Wicki froze, she somehow looked much better despite having been throwing up for the last four or so. Her color was still pale, but for the first time in a while she looked alert, refreshed, and not on the verge of collapsing. Her arms folded, she walked over her head down. Donny noticed Utivich was collecting his things and walking back to his own tent. Right away Wicki quickly stood up and walked over.

"Abby?"

Abby smiled as he gently cupped her face with his hands. Donny walked over, the bat against his shoulder.

"You okay?"

Abby nodded.

"Yeah I'm fine."

"We were worried. You seemed real sick. Everything okay?"

"Yeah, I've been feeling pretty sick lately. Utivich said the reason why I got so sick tonight was because I haven't had anything to eat in a while."

"Told you."

Donny said, which made Abby softly smile. Wicki studied her eyes closely.

"Is that it?"

Abby's eyes lifted.

"No…"

Donny and Wicki looked at each other, slightly uneasy.

"Well what's wrong."

Abby took a deep breath and looked at the two of them.

"I'm pregnant."

Donny and Wicki froze, their reactions clearly told through their eyes. Abby waited for any response but didn't get any. Biting her bottom lip she stared at them.

"Utivich isn't completely sure, but I'm almost positive. I thought I was about a week ago but didn't want to scare anyone so I waited. But Utivich really thinks so."

"What?"

Donny asked, for the first time in a while his voice sounded low and scared. Abby looked at him and then at Wicki. Right away her eyes filled with tears.

"Are you disappointed?"

Wicki looked at her.

"No, of course not."

Abby then looked at Donny who still looked in shock. Lowering her head she softly began to weep. Right away Wicki put his arms around her. Burying her head against his jacket, she cried softly. Wicki looked over at Donny and motioned for him to come over. He did, slowly before putting his arms around her as well.

"How far along are you?"

"A month, maybe more. Like I said Utivich wasn't sure. I'm so sorry! I really didn't mean for any of this to happen!"

Donny looked at her and brushed her hair away.

"Abby it's not like you did it alone….and besides we never used protection. I mean we're human, I'm susprised it didn't happen sooner."

Abby cried harder. Donny looked at Wicki for help. Sighing, Wicki kissed Abby's forehead trying to sooth her.

"You didn't do anything wrong Abby…"

Abby kept crying before Wicki began rubbing her back. Donny held her with nothing to say. Finally Wicki softly smiled, looking down at her, using his hand to wipe away her tears.

"I'm going to talk to Aldo and see if there's a way to get you home."

Abby's head shot up like a bullet, her tear filled eyes wide.

"No!"

Wicki and Donny looked at each other before looking back down at her.

"I'm not leaving!"

"Abby…"

Donny began but couldn't finish. Instead Abby shrugged off their embrace and stood back.

"No! I won't leave you alone! You can't!"

"Abby things have changed. You need to think about yourself…"

"No!"

She shook her head as tears spilled down her cheeks.

"I'm not having you go on some mission and not know if you made it out all right! I've did that before. I won't leave!"

Donny listened watching her yell at Wicki and lowered his head and sighed.

"Abby, we're just worried about you. One thing is having a woman with us, which you've proved to us that you are just as good as any of the other men…but it's different now. You're pregnant."

Abby blinked, almost in disbelief.

"I expected this from Wicki but not you Donny…"

"It's the truth."

Wicki said, making her look at him.

"This mission is going to be dangerous, we can't risk you getting hurt."

"Why? Because I'm pregnant?! That doesn't change one thing. I'm not going to become some den mother. I told you guys never to treat me any different than anyone else!"

"But you are different. We love you…"

"Bullshit! You two talked so much about the three of us becoming a team. Never leaving each other. You two have said it yourself, what were the chances of us ever finding each other again?! I love you both and I'm not going back to American again and try to guess how things turned out!"

"Abby, you need to take care of yourself…"

"Stop! I've heard enough. I'm not suddenly going to be treated like glass just because of this. I'm not going to break. You know what, fuck the two of you if you want me to leave. Fuck you both."

"Abby wait…"

But Abby turned, walking back to camp and leaving Wicki and Donny puzzled. Watching her, they saw her go to Utivich's tent. The two were good friends and knew she would spent the night in his tent. Sighing, the two men looked at each other before Donny cleared his throat.

"We…could both be the father. You know that right. We'll never know."

Wicki kept staring ahead before nodding and looking down at his hands.

"I know…"

Donny gripped his baseball bat before thunder sounded again in the sky.
