A/N: Hey guys! I'm back, and I brought a chapter with me! Yay! Anyway, cutie5lexis, girl I know right? Life sucks when it gets all cram-packed with crap and deadlines! Anyway, if I had given up or gone on hiatus, I would have posted a chapter that said so because I'm not that evil. I hate being forced to wait and not told what's going on. Ugh, I am sorry once again for how long it took for me to get another chapter up. Ugh, bad Sky. Bad.

Anyway! Enjoy the chapter!

Chapter 10: Bad move...

Wave after wave of nasty, screeching goblins poured into the cramped room, and I had long since run out of room to launch arrows upon my foes and resorted to using magic and the sword that once belonged to my mother. With each stroke of my blade, goblins fell to floor dead or dying, but more seemed to endlessly take the place of their fallen comrades.

Then a roar and heavy footsteps shook the room and drew everyone's attention. "Oh no," I heard Amy whimper from where Legolas had her behind him in a corner as he fended off the onslaught of goblins. Then the doorway seemed to explode as a troll roared and and smashed its way into the already crowded chamber, unintentionally slaying several goblins with the flying debris and its massive feet.

I had about three seconds to gaze up at the troll in fear before the goblins around me resumed their assault. My body was spattered with blood by the time I had slain the goblins, and my body was beginning to ache from the unexpected exercise. The goblins had stopped pouring into the room when the troll had entered, and the remaining creatures were quickly put down as we all dodged and ducked around the flailing troll.

A large goblin that I had missed leaped at me from the shadows, and I yelped in alarm as it tackled me to the ground, initiating a deadly wrestling match. Right as my sword sank into its gut, an unmistakable groan of pain reached my ears shortly followed by a satisfied snort from the troll.

"FRODO!" Amy screamed, sword drawn as she launched herself at the troll, her blade making deep gashes in the beast's legs.

I roared in fury, shoving the goblin off of me and launching a fireball the size of my head into the troll's chest. My blade flew in frenzy across the troll's hide, Merry and Pippin had somehow gotten onto the creature's back and had begun stabbing it mercilessly, and Legolas was launching arrow after arrow into its body. Then I heard the troll let out a low groan and looked up to see the fletching of an arrow protruding from the troll's mouth and an arrow head poking out through the back of its skull.

The dead monster fell to the ground with a heavy thump, the impact with the ground sending Merry and Pippin tumbling across the floor. Without a second to loose, everyone had sprinted to where Frodo was laying, face down, on the floor with a spear sticking out from under him. Aragorn weakly turned the hobbit over, and Frodo gave a loud gasp of pain. "He's alive," I heard Sam breathe in relief.

"I'm alright," Frodo groaned as he sat up,"I'm not hurt. I'm alright."

I looked at him in disbelief before remembering something. "I think this hobbit is a bit more than what meets the eye," I chuckled, kneeling down and gently pushing aside the fabric of his shirt to reveal the beautiful shirt of mithril chain mail underneath.

"Mithril," Gimli breathed in surprise,"You are full of surprises, master hobbit!"

I smiled tiredly at the hobbit and shook my head, but my head snapped to the doors as high, excited shrieks reached my ears from the mouths of goblins. "Run!" Gandalf ordered, and no one hesitated.

The fellowship ran as fast as we could, and I felt like knives were digging into my sides as I struggled to keep up with everyone else. I threw bolts of lightning at the goblins that were pouring down from the ceiling, swarming up out of holes in the floor, and scrambling to surround us as the fellowship tried to escape.

When we were completely and hopelessly surrounded, the fellowship fell into a circular formation with the hobbits and Amy in the center. I readied my sword in my right hand and charged up a large fire ball in my left. Challenging shrieks and triumphant growls came from the goblins nearest to me, and I summoned up an aspect of my spirit animal and roared like a dragon at the pathetic creatures. Then something not too far off answered my roar with one of its own.

The goblins yelped and whimpered in fright, and I felt the icy claws of terror sink into my heart. "Oh no," I whispered, Aragorn glancing down to his left to inspect me,"I made a bad move."

A low growl rumbled throughout the great cavern and sounded like boulders crashing into and sliding across each other, and I summoned up another roar, this one louder and fiercer than the first. Another roar answered me as goblins shrieked and fled in terror, and Boromir clasped my shoulder in fury. "What new devilry have you conjured?" he snarled, and I simply gazed up at the man with indifferent eyes.

"I have unintentionally awakened the Balrog of Morgoth. This is beyond all of you," I stated simply, glancing to Gandalf for confirmation.

The old wizard nodded and sheathed his sword. "Steel is of no further use to us. Run!" he shouted, leading us through the dark cavern as a fierce, fiery glow began to light up the room behind us.

I glanced back in time to see a pillar collapse, and I put on a new burst of speed. This was so not my day.
