Hey everyone. I'm really sorry I haven't been as fast as I have updating before, and I'm really sorry. I know this chapter is kind of boring, but I basically made it just for foreshadowing stuff. The next few chapters will be better, really. Sincere regards, Lioner

My language teacher always says to keep everything exciting, so I will by skipping by a few things. The Zoo was fun, Laser Tag was boring because I was only facing a few little kids, and Medieval Times was totally amazing. I've decided to add something from there however, as I think it will interest you all to the greatest extent.

My entire family and I placed our bets on the black and white knight, solely based on how he looked. He was strong, muscular, and anything else you would expect from a knight. After an amazing dinner and lots of cheering, we ended up in last place.

"Well, that sucked." Alois stated as he shoved his hands into his sweatshirt. Well, it was really mine, but he needed it more to hide his face. My family was checking out some of the horses at the stable the knights used for jousting. I knew Alois was still scared of those beautiful animals, so I offered to walk in to the car and wait for them to return. "I mean, there wasn't even any blood!"

"I agree. So what if they get a bit hurt!? I'd rather someone turn into Gasai Yuno than anything." I said, kicking a stone with my foot as we traveled along on the gravel road. "At least it was cool though. The way they rode their horses and the way they swung their swords at each other's faces…It was some pretty decent stuff."

Alois nodded and pulled his hood up and over his blonde hair. "I suppose…Hey, is Sebastian okay back at our hotel room?"

I nodded. "I believe so. Hannah hasn't texted me anything about him, so he must be. He's probably just raiding the storeroom on the first floor for those yummy straw-berry muffins."

"I wouldn't blame him." The blonde said, a small smile on the edge of his lips fighting to appear.

At this moment, I really, really wanted to ask him about two things. One: Why he took back that kiss from before, and Two: The scars on his back. No, not the old ones, the new ones. But as my mouth opened to speak words, something stopped me dead in my tracks. It took a moment for Alois to realize I was no longer walking next to him and turned around to face me. "Uh, what are you staring at?"

"It's a Medieval Torture Museum…" I spoke, totally, captivated by it. On the entrance to the building was spikes and black and red paint splattered on the door. "…I don't know about you, but I am SO going in!"

"Nichole, it's a building filled with things that cut, puncture, bite, snap, and dismember people's bodies! Hell yes I am going in there!"

Without another word, we both ran into the forlorn building, full of machines that did exactly what Alois said they would.

Neither of us said a thing as we walked out of the exit, both of our gazes straight ahead. The images were forever burned deeply into our brains, no doubt about that.

"Segments…They were cut off in segments…" Alois stated dryly, over and over again.

"Yeah…Segments…" I said replied, the unwanted drawing of the person still in my head. "Every person…every part if their body…in segments…"

"Must've hurt." Alois turned his face towards me, his eyes seemingly glazed over. "I wonder…When they catch me, will they do that to me…?"

I turned to him abruptly, my eyes wide. Did he really mean that? "Al! Of course not! In this day and age, America doesn't do that! Besides, those police won't catch you! Not with two incredibly smart demons and me on your team!"

Alois's face went from kinda-scared to kinda-cute. "R-Really? I mean, it's not like I have no confidence in you, but when you survey what could happen…I dunno." He turned his head towards me, and (for what seemed like forever since he had) smiled at me. It wasn't a sadistic smile, and it didn't have any underlying meanings. It was, more or less, a smile just for me. "Are you okay? You're cheeks are totally red."

"U-Uh, yeah!" I stuttered and quickly turned away from him, feeling my warm cheeks over. "Sorry, I guess seeing all that blood from the museum made all of my own blood travel to my head."

Alois, who apparently knew that wasn't a thing, nodded. "I see." He held his hand out to me in a very gentleman like manner and smiled once more. "C'mon, we better get to the car soon. A-Also, we probably shouldn't mention the whole 'segments' thing to her."

I nodded and off we went. "By the way…about the whole room thing…"

"Damnit, I didn't want to sleep in the same room as you again!" I exclaimed, my anger fuming. Yes, I do love Alois to bits, but there needs to a line in the sand somewhere. "I thought we agreed to sleep in separate rooms tonight!"

Alois shrugged, his head being held up by his right hand. "I never said I'd back you up with what you wanted. I hate sleeping in the same room that other men are in."

"I get that! But still, it's only my father!" I paced angrily back forth in our 4ft long hotel room, my bare feet cold from the lack of heat the 70's carpet insulated. "Now I won't be able to sleep…" Oh right, I forgot to mention! I told Alois I slept awfully last night instead of the truth.

"Oh well." Alois puckered his lips and gave me an idontgiveasinglecrap face. "You're stuck with me…By the way, are you hungry?"

I nodded, and to back me up my stomach growled loudly. "Yeah. That half-rate dinner was not worth the ten dollars for us each…"

Alois then had an idea. You know how I can tell? His stupid little mouth gets a stupid little smirk on it, and then he has a stupid idea…That was Yale material right there. "Well, why don't we have ourselves a little adventure? It's been SO dreadfully boring around here since you've rescued me, and I want to have some fun for once! Besides, no one will wanna read your stupid story if it's just full of us doing dumb things!"

Whelp…You're still here right? Good enough. "Shut up! Anyway, I never opposed your plan, but what the heck would we even do? It's not like they have a five-star diner down there!"

The blonde swung his feet over the bed and stood up, a look of misfit and death written all over upon his little British face. "True, true…But they do have five-star muffins down there…"

"You don't mean…"

"You know just what I mean! Come on, let's go steal some Spanish strawberry muffins!" Al exclaimed, his face lit up in delight. "It'll be fun! We can be like spies!"

He didn't need to ask me twice. We both pulled on hoodies and quietly made our way down the hall and to the stairs. The stairs to downstairs were outside of the building, but that didn't matter. The wonderful warm air was actually comforting. "Okay…Watch your step around here, these stairs have holes in between them."

"Got it." Al muttered behind me, making sure to step right where my foot had just been. By the time we had gotten to the bottom of the stairs, Alois had stepped in me at least five times. "Damn, it looks dark in there…"

I nodded and used my room key to unlock the door, and in we went. The entire place was dark as night, and I had to pull out my phone to see. Around my shoulders were Alois's hands, which were shaking. No doubt he was afraid of the lack of light. "Calm down." I reassured, "The TV is on. Go watch that Spanish soap opera playing on it, okay?" I couldn't tell if he nodded or not, but I do know he was scared. "Come on, you're fine. Look, let's just feel our way there."

We did just that, and quickly found the entrance to the kitchen. A single light was lit in there, which seemed like God to our light-starved eyes.

"What are you doing here!?"

Both Alois and I turned our heads as fast as we could without getting whiplash, our heartbeats beating over 9,000 times in that split second. "I-I-I-I-" All I could do was stutter uncontrollably, my fear overtaking me. "W-We, were just leaving!"

"I don't mean being down here! I meant being in this time era!" A small light flickered on and I had to wait a second for my eyes to readjust to the new source of light. Once I did, my shock must've been plan-as-day, as Will the Shinigami was making a rather annoyed face at me.
