Ruby has a twin sister, Saphire, who she gets separated from. Ruby and Saphire are half human and half Faunus. This is what might have happened if this were real.

Disclaimer: I do not own RWBY. If I did, one it wouldn't be nearly as awesome, and two I wouldn't be in High School. I'd be in my secluded mansion where I don't have to worry about living breathing people annoying me unless I choose to (which I doubt I would). So no suing the guy who has 5 dimes, 3 nickels, 2 penny's, a quarter, and the lint in his pocket. Though Saphire is mine so if you want to use her then PM me and tell me what story.

Chapter 10: Classes

After the family reunion team RWBYS decided to go back to their room.

-In The Morning-

Ruby: (sitting on the couch) Ok. These are the classes we have. Now we have a few classes together today. At 9 we gotta be…

Weiss: What!? Did you say 9 o'clock!?

Ruby: Uhh.

Weiss: It's 8:55 you dunce! (dramatically runs out of the room with music appearing from an unknown source)

Ruby: (sticking her head out with the rest of the team and team JNPR down the hall doing the same) Uh… t-t-t-to class! (runs out of the room followed by the others)

Jaune: Class? (falls over) We're going to be laate!

-In Class-

Professor: Monsters! Deemons. Prowlers of the night. Yes the creatures of Grimm have many names. But I merely refer to them as pray. And you shall too upon graduating from this prestigious academy. Now as I was saying, Vale, as well as the other three kingdoms, are safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world. Our planet is absolutely teeming with creatures that would love nothing more than to tear you to pieces! And that's where we come in. Huntsman! Huntresses. *nck nck*

Yang: Uuh heheh.

Professor: Individuals who have sworn to protect those who cannot protect themselves! From what you ask? (LBL: Nope) Why, the very world!

Random Guy: *stands up* Aaay Yep!

Professor: That is what you are training to become. But first, a story. A tale of a young, (dramatic pause) handsome man. Me. (LBL: Eggo alert. And yes I meant to misspell Ego.) When I was a boy, blah blah blah. Despite smelling of cabbages my grandfather was a wise man. Peter, he told me, blah blah blah. In the end the Beowolf was no match for my shear tenacity. And I returned to my village with the beast in captivity, and my head held high. Celebrated, as, a hero. The moral of the story? (LBL: is respect people who smell like cabbages.) A true Huntsman must be honorable. A true Huntsman must be dependable. A true Huntsman must be strategic, well educated, and wise! So, who among you believes themselves to be the embodiment of these traits?

Weiss: *raises hand* I do sir.

Professor: Well then. Lets find out. Step forward, and face your opponent.

*Grunt*

-The Fight-

Weiss: *pulls out her weapon*

Yang: Goo Weiss!

Blake: Fight well!

Ruby: Yeah! Represent team RWBYS!

Saphire: *watches intently*

Weiss: Ruby! I'm trying to focus!

Ruby: Oh, um, sorry. ==I hate having to act like this==

Professor: All right. Let the match *cuts lock on cage* begin!

*slam* *grunt* *charge*

Weiss: *dodge*

*grunt*

Professor: Ha Ha! Wasn't expecting that were you!

Ruby: Hang in there Weiss. ==I want a bit more entertainment before you get shown up by a pig==

Weiss: *charges but gets countered by the Grimm*

Professor: Bold, new approach. I like it!

Ruby: ==Better try and help her, she won't listen but it will make me look good==

Weiss: *loses her weapon*

Professor: Oh Ho! What will you do without your weapon.

Weiss: *dodges a charge and retrieves her weapon*

Ruby: Weiss! Go for its belly, there's no armor underneath!

Weiss: Stop telling me what to do! *shields a rolling charge and kills it by stabbing its stomach*

Professor: Bravo. Bravo! It appears we are indeed in the presence of a true Huntress in training. I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today. Be sure to cover the assigned readings. And, stay vigilant. Class dismissed.

Ruby: ==this is great, just great. I decide to help a spoiled little princess and I get nothing while she is treated like she did something great. without my advice she would have lost.==

-In The Halls-

Ruby: Weiss!

Weiss: What?

Ruby: What's wrong with you? Why are you being…?

Weiss: *cuts Ruby off* What's wrong with me?! What's wrong with you?! You're supposed to be a leader and all you've been so far is a nuisance!

Ruby: What did I do?!

Weiss: That's just it! You've done nothing to earn your position! Back in the forest you acted like a child! And you've only continued to do so!

Ruby: Weiss, where is this coming from? ==I'll kill her!== What happed to all the talk about working together? I thought you believed in acting as a team?

Weiss: Not a team, led by you.

Ruby: ==THAT'S IT! SHE'S OFFICIALLY ON MY LIST!==

Weiss: I've studied, and trained, and quite frankly I deserve better. Ozpin made a mistake. *walks away*

Ozpin: Hmm. Well that didn't seem to go very well.

Ruby: What makes you say that? *walks away*

-With Weiss-

Weiss: Professor Port.

Professor: Ah. , and to what do I owe this fine pleasure?

Weiss: I-I enjoyed your lecture.

Professor: Of course you did child. You have the blood of a true Huntress in you.

Weiss: You really think so?

Professor: Most surely. Hmm. Something's troubling you.

Weiss: Yess sir.

Professor: Dear girl, confess to me your strife.

Weiss: Well… I think I should have been the leader of team RWBY.

Professor: That's preposterous.

Weiss: What do you mean?

Ozpin: What he means is, its only been one day. Weiss, I've made more mistakes than any man, woman, or child on this planet. But at this moment I do not consider Ruby's appointment to leader as one of them.

Weiss: Excuse me!?

Professor: I 've believed in Professor Ozpin for many years, and the man's never once led me astray!

Weiss: So you would just blindly accept his decision even after seeing how exceptional I am?

Ozpin: I'm still here you know.

Professor: With all due respect your exceptional skill on the battlefield is matched only by your poor attitude.

Weiss: How dare you!

Professor: My point exactly. I see a girl before me who has spent her entire life getting exactly what she wanted.

Weiss: That's not even remotely true… well, not entirely true.

Ozpin: Being a team leader isn't just a title you carry into battle, but a badge you wear constantly. If you are not always performing at your absolute best then what reason do you give others to follow you. That is the burden Ruby now carries.

Professor: So the outcome did not fall in your favor. Do you really believe that acting in such a manor would cause those in power to reconsider their decision? So instead of fretting about what you don't have, savor what you do. Hone your skills, perfect every technique, and be not the best leader but the best person you can be.

Ozpin: Ruby has been burdened with a daunting responsibility. She just needs some time to think about how she will uphold it.

-Authors Notes-

Sorry for the long wait. I just got the will to write again (if you can call typing writing). I was busy for a while and couldn't force myself to continue writing. I used this chapter as a way to get my brain thinking about the story again. For those who may be wondering I purposefully spell my characters name Saphire instead of Sapphire. Don't know why just felt right. I will be adding a new character within the next few chapters. His name is Grey and I'm borrowing him from Fanfic Bros. He may not actually be introduced yet but he will be at least mentioned. As a side note I have a community for Faunas RWBY stories. If you know of any PM me with the title and I'll likely add it. Oh make sure to read the description for the community first. There is a rule or two on what I'll accept story wise. Hope to get more positive reviews and please I know my script writing isn't the best but it's better than how I write using book format. Trust me.
