Chapter 10: New mission & New Art!
When the others woke the next morning there was an empty space where the lunar had lain. Sakura went to call for her and noticed Shino outside. "Where is Yue?" The blue fox panted laughter. "She hunts with my brothers. She awoke just as light reached the cave." She didn't notice the boys listening. "How was she?" Shino snorted. "She nuzzled the blond male and curled her tail over him as he shivered. The puppet-master also shivered and she laid against his back until the sun warmed the air enough for her to feel comfortable leaving. You also shivered little healer. But I was asked to keep you warm." Sakura blushed but smiled and thanked him. She was unaware of the fierce flush that colored two of the four men's faces.
Not long after Yue returned with fish and a fresh packed scroll. "What did you pack for later?" Sakura grinned. "Two large boar. Some wild herbs and even a few sprigs of spices." The ANBU shook his head. That woman was odd, when he made his scary face at her. She had snarled back revealing inch long fangs. The look in her eye had been one he had seen before, the eyes of a beast protecting its own. She growled softly at Sai, soft but threatening. She allowed Sakura to man handle her and the boys as she healed them. Then presenting the Healer with a small bouquet of wild flowers. They moved out after the meal, Sakura had Yue riding Shino. Naruto and Sasori had been given strict orders to make sure she stayed there. Sasori had wondered why the pinkette had given him this job. It was a fight for nearly a half hour to keep the lunar on the fox but shortly after that the female passed out. "Stubborn Bitch.." Sakura said fondly as they decided to run through the night to get the Hokage the information that had been retrieved.
Yue woke up wrapped in a soft blanket. She felt warmth to either side of her, lifting her head she gazed upon the sleeping faces of two of her bond-mates. She knew they were at Naruto's apartment. With a small stretch she wiggled settling her back against Naruto and coiling her arms around Sasori's waist. The puppet-master growled softly before settling back into sleep. She stretched her legs out and buried her face back into the red-heads neck. Her tail coiled around the whiskered blond. Moments later she too was asleep.
Yue was on her own meeting while the Ninja spoke. Gaara had been summoned via a scroll he left. "this is troubling. Orochimaru is playing a deadly game against the Akatsuki. Now we are caught in the middle." The Redheaded Kage spoke as he looked at the Hokage and her Jonin. "I agree with you Lord Kazekage." Below them in a chamber barks and growls were being exchanged in much the same manner. 'Cursed Kyuubi, how do
we protect the clans?' One male barked strapped to his thigh was the seal of the Sand village.
Another barked in with the Seal of the Leaf. The questions were barked over and over until Yue released a deep bark of her own ~Silence!~ She snarled and they submitted to the more aggressive Lunar. ~I will sort this out. The sound is an enemy. The other clan I am unsure of yet.~ And with that the meeting disbursed. Tsunade called for Yue and Sakura once the ANBU found them they gathered in her office. The three females conversed for a short while then the request/order came down. "Lady Yue,I know you will be traveling to find the source of the attacks against us. You will need someone who can heal you and negotiate for you if necessary. Will you take up this mission Sakura? Leave the Leave village behind for some time and the head band as well, you may be required to do things that no ninja could get away with. Are you willing to do this?" The blonde said seriously to her apprentice. The pinkette nodded. "Yes my Lady."
"I will do all I can to ensure her safe return even if I do not return with her." The Fox-nin said gravely but it actually helped some. "We will send back as much information as we come across. But Fireshadow, watch the war-hawk Danzo... He is no good."
~Time Lapse 4 ½ months. 2 days run south of Rain.~
Lavender eyes opened to see the damage of the battlefield upon which she lay. Her enemy lay dead. Her charred corpse still smoking from its resting place. She had beaten her. At a price. Using her destructive Chakra had a devastating effect on the surrounding landscape until she could learn to control it properly. She got to her paws and slowly ambled her way from the pieces of her enemy and into the coming cloud cover. She had won a great battle here today.
How she was tailed-beast over one more Clan. The clan of Hidden Rain. And she loved the feel of rain of her skin. By the time Sakura arrived with Shino, Yue lay in a widening pool of pink water bleeding into the rain. "Its cleansing..." She said as the healer dismounted. "Yes but now its time to be healed and you can lay in the rain all you want then.." With that the healer picked up the Fox-nin and pressed the ninja-fox for the nearest town. "She needs warmth and solid food."
The inn keeper was a dodgy one who reported the two women to the Akatsuki. Little did he know that the reward he was expecting was not what he was hoping for. Sasori and Deidara walked into the Inn and the keeper caught sight of him just as a blood curdling howl echoed across the main room.
"SASORI...FLOWER...WHERE IS HE? I FEEL HIM? LET ME GO... SASORI!"
The fever-blind fox howled and Sasori raced with Deidara a step behind his partner. Nothing made the puppet-master hurry let alone full out run. "Sakura!" The Red-head called and the healer tossed open the last door on the left. "Battle-god above. Keep her still She blew up an entire village sized area to kill one person at the epicenter." Deidara piped up. "did it work." Sakura sighed at the bomber. "There were bloody pieces every where. That was of course after hours of fighting and beating the unholy hell out of one another." She took a breath.
"All I Heard was Boom!"The woman breathed again as she slices and heals. "And the clearing exploded." They heard a cough. "Need a Kurotsutchi... They are Destruction Chakra masters. Have wonderful paws. Little muzzle's." She was asleep in the fever again. Sakura shook her head. "Mouths on someone's hands? Destruction Chakra? Ugh tomorrow..." Deidara was in shock. This lunar was looking for his family? He was the last, the Tsuchikage had them all exterminated after his grandfather's art backfired. "Shh" Sasori said to the sleeping woman. "Danna?" The Man grunted. "Hn?" The blond looked at the passed out lunar. "Can I stay? I want to meet her, yeah. Maybe she likes art, un?" Sasori sighed. He knew this day was coming. "Very well Deidara. Go get a room. I will be staying here. Do not bother me." The younger man darted off to do as the older artist said and Sakura smiled this would be interesting. "Sasori, so Gaara had you return to Akatsuki?" The artist only nodded and the redhead took up watching his fox.
