The Truth
Chapter 10
"You cannot be serious about this Lexie," whispered George.
"I am," answered Lexie, certainty laced in her tone.
"He's Mark Sloan Lexie. He's a not good for you. He's a manwhore. A tiger cannot change it's stripes anymore than a leopard can change it's spots," hissed George.
"Yes he's Mark Sloan and in two days I will be Lexie Sloan. If you have a problem with that you don't need to attend. I no longer have feelings for you so get over it!" replied Lexie, as she said the last sentence each word got louder.
"LEXIE!" called a voice.
Lexie turned and headed off.
"Hey Ashley," she smiled.
Ashley had been Lexi's best friend in med school and now along side Molly, Meredith and April - Ashley was the maid of honour.
A few months previous there had been massive merger with Mercy West over hospital in Seattle. Lexie and April had become quite close and got on really well. April had been instrumental in helping Lexie plan the wedding. The pesky red heaed Mercy Wester was dating Jackson but it wasn't common knowledge. Mark had taken Jackson under his arm and started teaching him. So along with Derek, Eric -(Molly's husband) -Jackson was a groomsmen.
George stared after the five as they left the hospital for their final fitting.
"Bambi leave my intern alone!" snapped Cristina.
"You can't seriously be siding with them," scoffed George in disgust.
"I live with Callie she is good friends with Mark. He and Grey hang out with her a lot. I've seen them together. They're happy and in love. I'm also siding with my person. So do as Lexie said and get over it," hissed Cristina.
George knew Cristina's words to be true, he had seen the love and affection Lexie and Mark shared - he just didn't want to believe it. He needed to accept it and move on. He never told anyone but Izzie -who was now across country- his decision. George O'Malley was leaving Seattle Grace for a practice in Walla Walla. Two days later George O'Malley was no longer a surgeon or employee at Seattle Grace Mercy West.
