Lizard Hunt
Half hour later Lachlan walked out of his room back in costume. He was met with Fury. "What happened to Beck?" Asked Lachlan.
"Transfer." Said Fury. "While you were out I contacted an organisation to take him to the prison."
"Where abouts is it?" Asked Lachlan.
"An island named Lian Yu." Said Fury.
"A prison on an island? Who the hell did you call?" Asked Lachlan.
"Sorry kid. That's classified."
"Did you tell them about the situation?" Asked Lachlan.
"Yes. But apparently they have better things to do." Said Fury.
"Of course they do." Said Lachlan.
"So what's your plan of attack? Carnage or Nightmare?" Asked Fury.
"Lizard." He said. "I need to cure him. After that we can save the Avengers, my team and anyone else infected by Nightmare. Then I'll stop them." Lachlan explained. "Only problem is I need to cure the Symbiote then the Lizard formula. Symbiote is the easy part. Getting the Lizard cure inside of him is going to be a pain."
"Not entirely." Said Fury. "Follow me." The two walked into the new lab. Fury walked to a safe and opened it. He pulled out a device. He handed it to Lachlan. "Dart launcher." He said. He pulled out some darts from the safe and pulled the cure out of his pocket. He filled up the darts. They were small ones so there was about 10. "Put it on your wrist and when you are close enough to him press this button and it will launch two simultaneously. Due to to the size you'll need to make sure you shoot him with four darts." He gave it to Lachlan and he put on his wrist. When it tightened it turned invisible.
"Awesome. Any idea on how to find him?" Asked Lachlan.
"I have one." Said Fury. He walked over to a file cabinet and pulled out a file. He handed it to Lachlan. "First time Connors transformed into Lizard we found him in his lab in the sewers. Second time he returned."
"So what you think he's dumb enough to return back there for a third time?" Joked Lachlan.
"You see every time Parker cured him we'd interrogate him asking him what he remembered. Every time he forgot. But the Lizard would remember. We never found any thing hidden down there. He could have moved it the second time. Or it's down there. And now with the symbiote it might cause him to return and move anything he hid away."
"So you're saying if I'm quick enough I can get down there and get him off guard." Said Lachlan.
"Yes. I also have this." He said. He walked over to a table and opened the drawer. He pulled out a gun. "Sonic gun." He said. "A few years back after our first encounter with the symbiote Spider-man struggled to stop Venom. After he found out sound waves were its weakness we decided to make a weapon that could take symbiote out easier. So a few months ago we got a hold of Shockers gloves and got the chip out that creates the shock wave and ever since we have been making this." He handed it to Lachlan. "One if a kind." Said Fury. "So if it breaks I'll kill you." Lachlan laughed but realised Fury wasn't.
"Oh you're serious." Said Lachlan. Lachlan put it in his suit. "Well I better get going. I've got Lizards to hunt." Lachlan walked off. He went to the top of the Helicarrier. Unfortunately it was also covered in symbiote. "You'd think
a secret organisation who can make ships this big could add a shockwave machine to it." He said to himself. He shot the gun at the symbiote and if blew away. "Cool." Said Lachlan. He ran towards the edge of the ship and jumped off. He started swinging looking for a manhole into the sewers. He swung around until he found one. He landed in the streets. He went to open the manhole when his Spidey sense went off. He quickly jumped out of the way before being hit by a shockwave. He landed on the ground and saw Shocker with a group of villains. Vulture, Rhino, Scorpion, Abomination, Bullseye, Whiplash and Sabertooth staring at him. "What's the matter? Want a rematch?" Asked Lachlan. He put his arm behind his back and pulled out the gun Fury gave him. He hid it behind his back until he was ready.
"Not here to fight." Said Shocker.
"Oh really?" Said Lachlan. "I guess the giant shock wave you just tried to blast me with confused me." Said Lachlan sarcastically.
"Just getting your attention." Said Shocker.
"A simple hey would have worked as well." Said Lachlan. Lachlan stared at him. "What do you want?" Asked Lachlan.
"A simple business deal." Said Shocker. "I want Doc dead and you want to remove him as a threat."
"Are you sure your new boss will be happy I'm working for you?" Mocked Lachlan.
"He doesn't know about this." Said Shocker. "It will be our little secret. We take down Ock and we go back to being enemies." Lachlan stared at him.
"I'm good thanks." Said Lachlan. "Normally I'd beat the hell out of you, but right now I've got better things to do." Lachlan turned and faced the manhole. He shot a web at it. He was about to pull it out when suddenly Shocker snapped his fingers. Lachlan's spider sense went off. He turned around. Suddenly a figure emerged from the symbiote on the ground. It was another member from the Life Foundation. A yellow symbiote. Scream. She was holding someone. Lachlan recognised them straight away. "Maria." He said. He looked at Shocker. "You son of a bitch."
"I'm sorry I must of confused you by making you think you had a choice. It wasn't an offer it was a order." Said Shocker. "You help me with Ock and you can have her back."
Lachlan looked at the six. He still had the manhole at the end of his web. "Ok then." Said Lachlan. "I'll help take care of Ock."
"Good." Said Shocker.
"On one condition." Said Lachlan.
"And what would that be?" Hissed Shocker.
"I do it myself." Said Lachlan. He quickly flung his arm around tossing the manhole towards Scream. Before she could react it hit her in the face and she let Maria go. Lachlan shot a web at Maria and pulled her towards him. As she flew towards him he caught her. "You ok?" He asked.
"Yeah." She said weak.
"Big mistake!" Yelled Shocker. He went to blast Lachlan. Lachlan grabbed Maria and swung out of the way. Lachlan swung on top of a building.
"Wait here." He told her. He made a web shelter and put her inside. He sealed it off. He ran and jumped off the building. He swung down and landed in front of the villains.
"I wasn't wrong." Said Shocker. He pulled out a tube with purple symbiote. "One way or another, you'll help me take down Ock."
"Come and get me." Said Lachlan.
"I was hoping you'd say that." Said Shocker. "Get him!" He ordered. The villains charged at him.
"This is going to get ugly." Said Lachlan.
"Damn right!" Said Rhino. He charged at Lachlan. Lachlan jumped over him. But once again forgot out his new trick. The symbiote grabbed him.
"Damn it." Said Lachlan. The symbiote smacked him into the wall. He then threw Lachlan across the street. Lachlan looked up. His spidey sense went off. He looked and saw 5 daggers flying towards him. Lachlan dodged them all. He looked up and saw Bullseye. "What's wrong?" Said Lachlan. Before he could finish Scorpion ran at him and swung his tail. Lachlan jumped onto the building behind him. He webbed Scorpions back. "That was rude." He said. He swung Scorpion into another building. "You shouldn't interrupt me when I'm making fun of you guys." Said Lachlan. He looked up and saw a car flying towards him. "What the?" He jumped off the building. "Nice job asshole." He said to his Spidey sense. He looked up and saw Abomination running at him. Lachlan dived out of the way. Abomination ran through the building. "Wow Abomination every time we fight you..." Suddenly he was cut off by his Spidey sense. Suddenly a whip was on his arm. "Oh that can't be good." Suddenly Whiplash pulled on it sending Lachlan flying. But he was still attached and Whiplash pulled him from out of the sky and he hit the ground. Whiplash stood over him. "That the best you got?" Asked Lachlan. His Spidey sense went off. Suddenly the whip electrocuted him. It stopped. "Ok fair enough." Said Lachlan. Suddenly all the villains stood over him. Shocker held the symbiote in his hand.
"Got you now." Said Shocker. He opened the tube. Lachlan looked across the road and saw the gun. As Shocker went to pour the symbiote. Lachlan shot a web at the gun. He pulled it over to him quickly and aimed it at Shocker. Before any of them could react Lachlan yelled. "Suck on this you over sized cushion!" He then blasted Shocker with the gun. Suddenly Shocker was free of the symbiote and he went flying across the street. The tube fell and broke. Lachlan stood up. Before he could shoot the others Abomination punched him sending him flying dropping the gun. The gun went flying. Lachlan landed on the ground. "Well at least it worked." He said. His Spidey sense went off. Before he could react Vulture swung down and grabbed him. Vulture flew in the air carrying him. He then tossed Lachlan into a building smashing through a window. Lachlan got up. As he turned Vulture swooped at him and punched him in the face. Lachlan got up. Vulture went for him again. Lachlan ducked. He stood up. He shot a web a Vultures back. He pulled on the web and he fell to the ground. As he got up and turned to Lachlan. But Lachlan was already running towards him. Before he could react Lachlan punched Vulture in the face knocking him down. Lachlan turned and started running to the exit. As he got to the edge his Spidey sense went off. "Oh come on!" He said. He turned and Vulture tackled him out the window. The two fell. Lachlan shot a web at a building and swung down. Vulture flew to the web and cut it. Lachlan fell to the ground. He shot a web in time before hitting to hard but still hit the ground. He stood up. Suddenly he saw two electrified whips flying towards him. He dodged them both but as he did more daggers flew at him. He kept dodging. He saw Whiplash and Bullseye trying to hit him. Suddenly his Spidey sense went off. He was grabbed from behind by Sabretooth. "Thought I could smell something." Mocked Lachlan.
"Let's see you make jokes without a throat!" Hissed Sabretooth. He went to claw his throat when suddenly there was a loud growl. While Sabretooth was distracted Lachlan webbed his face. He tumbled back letting Lachlan go. Lachlan stood there. The sound was gone. Suddenly there was a loud screech. Lachlan fell to his knees. He looked up and saw Scream screaming. She stopped. "Looks like I'm the one who gets to end you." She hissed. She went to scream again but Lachlan webbed her mouth shut. He jumped up and kicked her in the chest. "The only thing you're going to end is my hearing." Mocked Lachlan. Suddenly there was a roar again. His Spidey Sense went off. Suddenly out of nowhere the ground started cracking. "Uh-oh." Said Lachlan. Lachlan jumped out of the way and suddenly something smashed through the ground. Everyone stopped and starred. The dust vanished revealing Lizard. "Oh crap." Said Lachlan. *10 minutes earlier.* In the sewers in his secret lab, Lizard was working on a formula. "When I unleash this on the city everyone will bow down to me." Hissed Lizard. "And with added symbiote there's no telling what I can achieve." Lizard kept working. Suddenly he could hear a commotion. "A fight?" He hissed. Lizard put his formula somewhere safe. "And they didn't invite me." He started charging through the sewers searching for the sound. After a while he found out where it was and his underneath. Suddenly he heard a high pitch sound. He roared in pain. It stopped. He started jumping at the top damaging it. He landed and once more jumped up. This time he smashed through it. He landed on the road covered in dust. When the dust cleared he saw villains looking at him. He looked over and saw Lachlan. "Oh crap." Said Lachlan.
"You!" Hissed Lizard.
"This is bad." Said Lachlan. Lizard charged at him. Lachlan dived over him and kicked him in the back. Lizard fell forward. "Crap." Said Lachlan. "I can't cure him now. To many villains to protect him from." Suddenly Abomination charged at him. He got close and went to punch Lachlan. Lachlan ducked. He jumped and kicked Abomination in the chest. Bullseye ran at Lachlan holding two daggers. He swung at him. Lachlan dodged them. "What's the matter?" Said Lachlan. He jumped to the side and kicked his side. "Realised your aim is shit and decided to go hand to hand?" He mocked.
"Shut up!" Hissed Bullseye. He turned and swung. Suddenly Rhino charged at him and at the same time Vulture swooped down. Meanwhile Shocker was recovering from being blasted. When he didn't watched as all the villains attacked Lachlan. He bent down to the ground and went to absorb more symbiote. But for some reason the symbiote backed off from him. "What the hell?" He said.
"That would be me." Said a voice. Shocker turned aged saw the light blue symbiote man standing there.
"What are you doing here?" Asked Shocker.
The man laughed. "Rumour has it that you're using the bosses resources for your own gain." He said.
"Personal gain?" Said Shocker. "He wants the Doc dead more than me."
"True." He said. "But he gave you a team and by the looks of it you've been doing your own recruiting. And of I've heard right you've been doing experiments."
Shocker froze. He looked and saw the gun Lachlan used on him near a car. The creature looked and saw where he was looking. "Think your fast enough?" He said.
"Let's find out?" Said Shocker. Before the blue man could respond Shocker blasted him sending him flying. He landed on a car near Lachlan. Lachlan heard the sound while fighting and looked. "Really? You're here as well?" Said Lachlan now fending off Scream. Shocker bent down and absorbed the symbiote. He turned to run but suddenly Azazel teleported in front of him. "Going somewhere?" He asked.
"Shit." Said Shocker. Shocker went to blast him but Azazel punched him in the chest.
"Sure. Why not?" Said Lachlan. He turned and as hit did Lizard punched him in the face. Lachlan fell to the ground. He got up and saw Whiplash shooting his whips. Lachlan dodged them. Suddenly one went past him and electrocuted Lizard. Lachlan ran up and kick Whiplash in the chest knocking him back. Suddenly Vulture swooped Lachlan. He fell over. Rhino stood over him. He went to step on Lachlan. Lachlan shot a web at his face. He rolled out of the way. Suddenly he was grabbed by Abomination. Scorpion ran at him. He went to swing his tail at Lachlan. Lachlan got an arm free. He shot it at Scorpions leg and pulled on it. He fell over. He then used his arm to Abomination. Abominations gripped loosened. Lachlan broke free. He grabbed Abomination and chucked him. Bullseye went to throw daggers at him. He dodged one. He grabbed another and chucked it at Bullseyes leg. It his his leg and he fell down. Lachlan looked around and saw the gun on the ground. He ran for it. As he approached it his Spidey sense went off. He stopped as he saw the Blue man appear and pick it up. "Looking for something?" Asked the man. The voice was weird but it seemed familiar.
"Do I know you?" Asked Lachlan. The man laughed. He them crushed the gun in his hand. "Fury is going to kill me." Said Lachlan. He ran at the blue man. The man slapped him. Lachlan flew into a building. Lizard saw and approached him. He picked Lachlan up. Lachlan looked at him. "Connors!" Said Lachlan. "It's me!" Lizard starred at him.
"Connors is dead!" Hissed Lizard. He went to claw him. Before he could Sabretooth tackled Lizard and they all fell. Sabretooth stood up. "The spider is mine." Roared Sabretooth. He turned but when he did he saw Lachlan swinging at him. He kicked him in the chest sending him flying. Shocker and Azazel were still fighting. Shocker kept trying to blast him but Azazel would teleport. Shocked went to blast him but he missed and it hit Scorpion getting up, recovering from being tripped. He went flying and crashed into Abomination. They fell over. Scorpion stood up "Watch it!" Yelled Scorpion. He turned around. As he did there was a high pitch scream. Everyone covered there ears and fell to the ground. Lachlan looked and saw Scream standing next to someone. "Oh god damn it!" He said. Next to her was Venom. And behind him was the remaining of Lachlan's team. Lachlan stood up. The other villains stood up and the two sides stared at each other with Lachlan in the middle. "What do you want?" Asked Lachlan.
"Business opportunity." Hissed Venom. "Most of you are either on your own or working with Carnage." He said. "By associate." He looked at Scream. "Informed me that some of you are unhappy. This is your one and only chance to join me." He ordered. "Anyone who isn't with me will die." He threatened. "Any takers?"
The villains stared at each other. Rhino, Bullseye and Sabretooth walked to Venom. "Anyone else?" He asked. They starred at him. By now the Blue man had left. Azazel teleported over to Venoms side and turned to the others. "Ok then." He looked at Lachlan's team. "Kill the rest." Venom and the newly joined villains teleported off leaving Lachlan's team.
"Oh crap." He said. He turned and realised Lizard was gone. "Oh shit." Said Lachlan. He started running after him past the villains that were still there. Lachlan's team started attacking. The remaining the villains charged at them. Lachlan stopped. "Maria." He said. He turned back and swung towards her. He jumped onto the building she was on. He punched the shield open. She was still in there. He picked her up. He put her on his back. He walked to the edge of the building. He looked at the battle. All the villains had left. Except Whiplash. It was Whiplash against Lachlan team. Maria woke up and watched. Will shot him with arrows deactivating the armour. Reece walked over and ripped off the whips. Finally Ashley ran up and sliced his head off. Whiplash fell to the ground.
"We need to go." Said Maria weakly. Lachlan noticed she was awake. He agreed. He ran across the building. He jumped off and swung to the Helicarrier.
