Chapter 10: Item Fetching

The next day, Tails was back at the cave, he and Sticks discovered after fighting their way up Lake Rocky. Wearing the night-vision goggles, he was able to see in the dark. He flew down to where he found the bomb when he sent T-Pup to find more items. It came back with what looked like a medallion in the shape of a weasel head wearing a cowboy hat.

"What a weird treasure," Tails said as he stowed it away and the two moved on. The cave was a twisting, dark maze, and some of the rocks were fragile to Tails' bombs. Suddenly, he fell through a hole, and found himself outside another cave while T-Pup hovered down. "What a drop," Tails said.

When he got back home, Sticks came back with the item radar.

"Hey, Tails, any luck?" Sticks asked.

"Not really. All I managed to find was this," Tails replied, showing his friend the medallion.

"Whoa, now that is freaky. I wonder if that cave is some ancient tomb or a hideout for outlaws," Sticks said in wonder.

"I guess we'll never know," Tails said.

"Well, I do have good news. This radar has picked up some readings in other areas, like the first cave in Mt. Polly, and even in the Poloy Forest," Sticks said.

"Really? I wonder what they lead to," Tails wondered.

"Seeing how it lead us to find that jumbo-sized explosive yesterday, maybe there's some useful things hidden," Sticks said as they explored.

In the cave of Mt. Polly, Tails used the big bomb to blow up a wall, finding a rocket booster.

While in the Poloy Forest, Sticks used the napalm bomb to find a spark maker and a tunnel.

"Whoa, secret passage," Sticks said, going through it, finding herself in a new forest. Back at the house, Sticks told Tails about the passage.

"Another forest? That is amazing. You must have found a new area we can explore," Tails said.

"I dunno if it was a good idea. Those dirty birds may be using it as well," Sticks replied.

"Don't worry. If they are in the forest, I can take them," Tails said while the two went to bed.
