CH 10
Arizona showed up at Callie's apartment she was in a blue dress that was cut at her mid calf, the dress was showing just the perfect amount of cleavage, and the heals she had on making her legs look amazing. She knocked on the door; it actually felt wired to do because she didn't normally knock she almost always let herself in.
Callie opened the door; seeing Arizona in front of her she was sure she would never be able to breathe again. Arizona felt the same; Callie was wearing an all black dress that hugged her curves perfectly Arizona found herself suddenly wanting to scrap her plans for the evening and push Callie into the apartment and have her way with her. "Wow, you look…" Callie tried to say, "You look amazing." She smiled and kissed Arizona.
"You are breathtaking Calliope."
"Do we have to go out?" Callie asked, she wanted to know what Arizona had planned but she also really wanted to get Arizona out of that dress.
"Yes we do but trust me this night will end in you and me naked in bed don't worry." Arizona smiled kissing Callie taking her hand leading her out the door.
"Where are we going?" Callie asked.
"You'll see." Arizona smiled opening the car door for Callie before going around to get in herself.
Less than twenty minuets later Arizona pulled up to a spot near the water. There are a few trees and Callie could see there were little lights under them spread out in the grass around a blanket. Arizona went to the trunk of the car and pulled out a picnic basket taking Callie's had and leading her under the trees to sit. "How did you do this?" Callie asked.
"I had some help," Arizona smiled, sitting down and pulling out a candle from the basket as well as two plates, two glasses, a bottle of campaign, and food from Callie's favorite Italian restraint.
"This is kind of amazing." Callie smiled taking a glass from Arizona. They ate and talked, enjoyed time with just each other, it seemed like it had been forever since they were last completely alone. Arizona looked as Callie as she laughed talking about telling her about how ridiculous Dr. Jacobson was, she was mesmerized by the woman's laughter, it was the best sound in the world, "Arizona?" Callie questioned, "Are you paying attention?"
"Huh?" Arizona said being pulled out of her daydreaming.
"Wow good to know your going to get a jump on ignoring me before we are even married."
"Sorry," Arizona leaned over kissing Callie lightly, "I got distracted thinking about how utterly amazing you are."
"O sweet talker." Callie laughed Arizona just gave her a cute smile.
"It's nice getting to spend time just us."
"It is, I mean don't get me wrong I love your family, and I love that they like me but I miss you." Callie said.
"I know, I'm sorry this whole thing has been so stressful for you too."
"Hey, no don't do that we already talked about this, I want to be here for you."
"I know I'm sorry."
They had finished eating and were sitting on the blanket looking at the stars and the moon reflecting the water, "So is this your whole big date?" Callie asked.
"Unimpressed?" Arizona responded.
"No this is amazing, I just really want to get you home." Callie said kissing Arizona's neck.
"I um.. we." Arizona tried but Callie's explorations on her neck were distracting her, "I have one more stop." Arizona managed to get out sounding relatively normal.
"Then we should go."
"Okay." Arizona stood up taking Callie's hand walking with her back to the car.
"Don't we have to pick this up?" Callie asked trying to stop.
"Nope, I got it covered." Arizona responded.
"Okay. Where are we going?" Callie asked
"You'll see." Arizona smiled, Callie taking her hand as she drove.
She pulled up to one of the nicest hotels in the city, "Are we staying here tonight?" Callie asked
"Yes." Arizona smiled.
"What about your parents they are at your house?"
"They will be fine for a night." Arizona responded walking straight to the elevator.
"Arizona we have to check in."
"Callie if you haven't noticed this is planned it's already done." Arizona laughed pulling her in. As soon as the doors closed and the floor was chosen Arizona had Callie pinned to the back of the elevator her lips quickly attaching to Callie's their hands running all over one another, Callie pulling Arizona closer to her gripping her ass.
The elevator door opened and Arizona stepped away pulling Callie down the hall and into their room, small candles were lit all around the room, the bed had rose peddles spread in the shape of a heart at the center there was a small jewelry box, Callie walked up to the bed picking the box up off of it, and opening the box. It was a gold band with small white diamonds all the way around the band, "It was my grandmothers ring." Arizona said taking the box from Callie's hands, she knelt on one knee, "Calliope Torres will you do me the honor of being my wife?" Arizona asked, she knew they were already engaged but she wanted to do this right.
"Of course." Callie smiled, as Arizona took the ring out of the box and placed it on Callie's waiting finger. The ring fit perfectly Callie smiled pulling Arizona back to her feet and kissing her.
Slowly pulling away Arizona spoke, "If you don't like the ring don't feel like you have to wear it we can get another one."
"I love it." Callie smiled.
"Okay, well just keep in mind don't feel obligated to wear it."
"Stop," Callie cut Arizona off, "Let me thank you for my beautiful ring." Callie smiled kissing Arizona, slowly pulling the zipper of Arizona's dress down letting it fall to the floor, Arizona was wearing lacy black boy shorts and black bra to match. Callie turned them softly depositing Arizona on to the bed before quickly pulling her own dress off, Arizona almost lost her breath seeing the look in Callie's eyes full of both love and lust.
"That was the best engagement sex in the history of the world." Callie said into Arizona's hair. Arizona was collapsed on top of her still unable to move.
"mhm" Arizona responded rolling her self off of Callie.
Callie pulled Arizona into her arms allowing their naked bodies to conform to one another's, "your cute when your brains all mush from sex." Callie smiled kissing Arizona softly.
"I'm not.."
"Are too."
Arizona turned to face Callie, "I love you." She smiled snuggling into Callie's chest.
"I love you too." Callie smiled, she looked over noticing the light from the bathroom for the first time since they got into the room, "Why is the light on in there?" Callie asked not remembering either of them going in there.
"O yeah there should be a bath drawn and campaign and candles in there." Arizona answered, "We never made it that far."
"Lets go take a bath then." Callie said, "I mean it's probably cold now but we can draw a new one."
"Its still warm, it's a heated tub." Arizona said Callie jumped up from the bed so quickly she nearly knocked Arizona off the bed, "hey what about me?" Arizona asked Callie came back into the room quickly pulling Arizona up and out of the room. Arizona laughed at Callie's antics. Callie was sitting in the tub as Arizona filled two glasses with campaign for them, "for you love." She smiled handing a glass to Callie, "Wanna make room in there for me?" Callie quickly moved back in the tub opening her legs to allow Arizona to sit in front of her, "thank you."
"I always have room for you between my legs," Callie joked.
"mhm don't I know it." Arizona smiled, "so I want to start looking for house." Arizona said suddenly.
"Okay, when do you want to move?" Callie asked
"As soon as my parents go home." Arizona responded, "I don't want to wait any longer for us to start a life together."
Callie put her arms around Arizona, "me either."
"Good." Arizona smiled leaning back into Callie.
"Our room needs to have a big tub though." Callie said.
"Deal." Arizona smiled, "and I want an upstairs and downstairs, I want our room to be well separated from the guest rooms."
"Because you can't control yourself." Callie said running her hands up Arizona's inner thighs.
"Maybe," Arizona smiled, "I don't want to have to, but I want at least two bedrooms upstairs with ours."
"Why?" Callie didn't understand.
"For kids," Arizona said as if it was the clearest thing ever, "I mean if we have kids I don't want them all the way downstairs they should be close to us." Callie's smile was so big she wanted nothing more than to have a family with Arizona.
"Kids?" Callie asked.
"Yes, kids I want a family with you Calliope," Arizona said.
"I am okay with that." Callie smiled and kissed Arizona's waiting lips.
"Okay, so bedrooms three rooms upstairs including ours, I'd say two downstairs, a huge tub in the master bathroom." Arizona said, "anything else we need in our house?"
"An amazing kitchen." Callie added.
"O and a big backyard, I want a fire pit in the back too we could roast marshmallows or hang out back there it would be nice and if we have a big backyard we can put one of those swing playground things up for the kids." Arizona said, Callie loved making plans with Arizona.
"Can we get a dog?" Callie asked.
"Only if we can have chickens." Arizona responded.
"Really?" Callie asked looking down at Arizona confused.
"Yeah I have a wired thing for chickens." Arizona responded.
"You know it would be easier to just get some land and build a house." Callie said, "Than we can be sure to get all the things we want."
"I want to move in together soon, that would take forever."
"Okay fine we can look for one similar and make the changes we need too." Callie responded.
"Can we go back to bed now?" Arizona asked suddenly she was exhausted from the last few weeks as well as feeling extremely relaxed wrapped up in Callie.
"Yes, babe come on," Callie smiled.
The next morning the two girls walked into Tim and Nick's hospital room. Daniel and Barbra were already in there. The room was loud Nick and Tim were laughing a joking.
"We have news." Arizona said walking into the room, "This is my fiancé Calliope Torres," She smiled at Callie next to her.
"Nice." Tim said.
Barbra jumped up throwing her arms around Callie, "congratulations," she said hugging Callie tightly.
"Mom please don't smother her I would like her to stay alive."
"Barbra let the poor girl breath," Daniel said as he walked up behind his wife, taking the opportunity to hug Callie once Barbra let go, "I would say welcome to the family but you are already family." He said to her.
After all the hugs and congratulations were finished Arizona excused herself to go check on patients.
Barbra quickly took her spot next to Callie, "So when is the wedding?" She asked.
"We want to get moved into a house and get settled before we start thinking about setting a date." Callie said.
"O do you know what kind of house you are looking for?" Barbra asked excitedly.
"Yes, we have some specific things we want, Arizona wants a two-story house at least three rooms upstairs, and two down, all I really care about it the kitchen." Callie said.
"It would be easier for you two to build a house if you are going to be that specific on what you want." Daniel said.
"That's what I told Arizona but she doesn't have the patience for something like that." Callie laughed.
"Why so many rooms?" Barbra asked.
"We both have big families, for when people visit." Callie said not wanting to mention kids not sure if Arizona was okay with everyone knowing they had talked about it.
"Maybe so many rooms for some kids?" Barbra asked.
"Barb." Daniel said a tone in his voice.
"Mom, you know how Arizona feels about kids." Tim said.
"Well I can hope." Barbra said looking to Callie.
"Mom Arizona has never wanted kids it's not right for you to try to pressure her or Callie." Tim spoke again seeing the terrified look on Callie's face.
"Fine." She responded, pulling out the laptop, "Lets start looking at houses." She said to Callie. "What about this one?" she asked.
"No the backyard is too small," Callie said, "Arizona wants chickens."
"What's with her and the chickens?" Nick asked.
"I have no idea." Callie responded looking to Tim.
"Don't ask me to explain my crazy sister, she just likes them I have no idea why she always wanted one. Nice to see your willing to give that to her." He laughed at Callie.
"Eh I can live with chickens." Callie said returning to looking at houses.
Callie spent the rest of her morning house hunting with the Robbins, she felt kind of bad doing it with out Arizona but it was either that or wedding planning and she knew what Arizona wanted in a house she didn't want to make wedding decisions without her.
"Hey babe," Callie said walking into Arizona's office a little later.
"Hey, what are you doing here?"
"Lunch." Callie smiled holding up a bag of take out.
"Mmm…. I love you."
"I know, so basically immediately after you left the room your mom wanted to start planning our wedding." Callie said placing the food on the table in the office.
"I figured she would," Arizona laughed, "How much did you plan without me?" Arizona asked taking a bite of her food.
"Nothing actually I told her we wanted to find a house and get settled before we started planning the wedding."
"O so you spent your morning house shopping then?"
"Yup, all day on the computer looking for our dream home."
"Did you tell her what we wanted?"
"Every last detail, your dad said we would be better off building." Callie smiled, "I told him I tried to talk you into that but you have not patients for that kind of thing."
"How long till my mom asked about filling the rooms with kids?" Arizona asked
"About two seconds, I didn't want to tell them kids were in the plan so I just said we needed all the rooms for when family visits." Callie said a little detached.
"You could have mentioned we planned kids I wouldn't have been mad." Arizona said noticing Callie's mood change.
"I know but then Tim went off about how you have never wanted kids your whole life and how it wouldn't happen."
Arizona put her food down and turned to face Callie, "hey, there will be kids I promise." Arizona said
"Well maybe we should talk about it, I mean I just assumed that when you said you didn't want kids it was because of everything going on with Tim and Nick, but then I was informed you never wanted kids." Callie said not looking Arizona in the eyes, "I don't want to make you have them if you never wanted them that's not fair to you."
"Hey, no stop." Arizona said lifting her hands to Callie's face, "I know I've never wanted kids my whole life I've never seen myself as a mom, I just don't think I'm cut out to be one; but you, you are going to be an amazing mom whatever kid has you as its mother will be the luckiest kid in the world. I've always been terrified at the idea of having to be responsible for another persons life everyday and I know I am a doctor and responsible for another persons life everyday but it will be different when it is my kid, but every other time I've thought about it I didn't have you, but now I do have you and I know that I can do anything with you and I can't wait for the day when I get to see a little Calliope mini me running around," Arizona's dimples in full force.
"Are you sure, because we don't have to decide this now and I can live with out kids, I know I said before I needed them but I don't I need you." Callie said
"I'm positive Calliope, I would like to wait a bit after we get married I would like to be selfish with my wife for a little while before you will have to share my attention with someone else."
"I can get on board with that." Callie smiled kissing her fiancé.
"Good."
"So what's your deal with the chickens?" Callie asked
"I just like them I always have." Arizona said
"oookay crazy chicken lady." Callie joked
"Whatever you love me anyway."
"So we did look at houses all morning and there were a couple that were kind of close to what we are looking for."
"Really?" Arizona asked, "What is kind of close?"
"Well the first one is five bedrooms three upstairs two down, three bathrooms, the kitchen is not what I would like it to be but I think we could renovate it, the back yard looks huge, there is a deck and a fire-pit."
"Wow." Arizona said, "When are we going to go look at it?"
Callie smiled, she really loved this house and was hoping Arizona would too, "I haven't called the guy yet I wanted to wait to talk to you first."
"Well you sound really excited about it and it sounds amazing I say call and make an appointment so we can go see it, you're doing Tim's surgery tomorrow morning right?"
"Yup at eight I wanted to do it early so he go more time with your parents before they go."
"Okay so we can go look at it tomorrow afternoon."
"I'll go call the guy right now." Callie smiled kissing Arizona and practically running out of the room.
