Chapter 10

Bella's pov

As soon as Mia walked out of the door I realized I was about to kiss Edward, but he leaned in first so that must mean he probably likes me at least a smidge as much as I like him. I just don't want to ruin our friendship if he doesn't like me that way.

"Hey. are you okay?" Edward ask pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Um yeah." I reply, but it was a lie. Did I really want to kiss Edward? Yes! But I'm guessing he was the one who wasn't thinking before leaning in to the kiss.

He looks unconvinced and his eyes show disappointment for some reason. We head downstairs and everyone besides Emmett and Rosalie is seating in the living room.

"Hey, what were you guys doing up there?" Alice ask.

I blush and mumble a nothing much, but from the face expression Alice's is giving me I'm going to have to spill later. Great.

I sit on the loveseat and Edward sits next to me. I turn my head and see Mia giving me a hateful stare. What is her problem?

"Okay let's watch a movie guys, but first we need a few things!" Alice says then heads to the kitchen with Jasper in tow.

A few seconds later Edward's phone rings and he goes to answer, but not before smiling at me and saying he'll be back. Leaving Mia and I alone and once again she's giving me a dirty look. I can't help the question that's blurts out of my mouth.

"What is your problem with me?" I ask.

"I just don't like you." She sneers at me, which leaves me shocked. Okay I didn't expect honesty.

"Um why?" I ask truly curious.

"Well you think your little miss perfect and it's obvious you like Edward….well so do I. Also the rest of the group likes me more than you and wants me to take you place, which I'll gladly take." She reply's curtly.

"I don't think I'm perfect and Edwards my best friend. I've never heard the others say that and they don't seem like those type of people to do that" I say, trying to keep my voice from raising.

"Yeah whatever, just know that if anything, Edward would chose me over you. I mean come on look at you and look at me. I'm a model. For all I know your probably just a whore" She says and laughs evilly.

All I see is red and I stalk over to her.

"You don't know anything about me, so don't you dare call me a whore!" I say. Then she pushes me hard which causes me to stumble back, but I catch my balance and then slap her. It leaves a dark red spot on her cheek. She screams louder then necessary and I can tell because I didn't slap her that hard. But I should have.

I can hear everyone's footsteps coming back to the living a few seconds later. When they all enter, their eyes show confusion.

"She-she slapped me!" Mia yells.

"She deserved it." I state.

"What happened?" Alice ask, but before I can say anything Mia cuts me off and says the biggest lie ever.

"I was just explaining to her how happy I was because I'm becoming such close friends with her and the rest of you, then she came up to me, said she didn't like me and slapped me!." Mia says in a fake sad voice.

To my relief everyone narrows their eyes at her and you can tell they don't believe a word she's saying.

"Hey wait, Edward and I set up these spy cams a while ago to get back at Alice for pranking us and I'm pretty sure they've been recording ever since." Emmett says while grinning.

"Omg yes! Let's watch it Mia." Alice says sneering Mia's name. Finally these people are on the same page as me.

Emmett reaches up above the flat screen TV to get one of the spy cams. While I'm watching Emmett, Edward comes up to me and pulls me aside. I stare at him in confusion.

"Are you okay? Did she hurt you? I believe you 100 percent. She's a terrible liar, but I don't know why we all just noticed now. I'm so sorry" Edward says with concern and guiltiness in his voice

"Edward its fine, don't let it get to you and I'm fine. All she did was push me." I reply.

He's eyes soften and he pulls me into a hug. I'm smothered in Edward's amazing scent.

"Hey Edward and Bella I hate to ruin you all's moment, but were watching the video!" Emmett yells making me blush and causing Edward to glare at him.

When we walk back to where everyone else is, I see Mia standing in the back of the living room glaring at me. What is she going to do once they see who she truly is? If I were her I would just leave now, it would save her the embarrassment.

Emmett hooks the spy cam up to the TV and rewinds its recordings. The video of Mia and I plays. Everyone gasps by the things they hear Mia say. Eventually the video ends and everyone turns to face Mia.

"Mia how could you do that, you're so fake!" Rosalie says angrily.

"And you have no right to talk to Bella that way. She is definitely not a whore. We would never replace Bella with anyone. Was this your whole plan? To turn us against Bella and have us ditch her?" Alice says fiercely.

"And I don't want you Mia. I would never pick you over Bella either." Edward adds fuming. While Jasper and Emmett look just as angry.

"You know what…I don't need any of you! I'm going back to Brooklyn anyways. Wait! I mean England" Mia says and it's obvious now that she did not live in England. Wow.

"You're a liar, you aren't from England which means your "daddy" doesn't have a business there. You never even said what the business was! You also aren't a model either! Get out!" Alice yells at her.

Mia stands there speechless. All of her lies have caught up to her. With one last death glare my way, she runs out of the Cullen's house.

"Wow." Is all I can say.

Before I know what's happening everyone attacks me in a group hug.

"Bella we are all so sorry! I can't believe we were so gullible to believe all that crap she said!" Alice exclaims.

"Yeah we are sorry Bellie." Emmett adds.

"It's okay guys." I say sincerely

"Why didn't you tell us about her before if you knew she didn't like you?" Edward asks once we all pull away.

"I don't know, you all seemed to like her and I didn't want to seem like I was jealous and a bad friend for not liking one of you all's new friend." I say honestly.

"Don't think that. You're an awesome best friend to us." Jasper comments as everyone agrees with him.

"Thanks guys." I say smiling.

It feels amazing to know that I no longer have to deal with Mia, but there was one question in my head.

"Hey guys, do you think she'll actually move away?" I ask

"I don't know, hopefully she will go back to Brooklyn." Rosalie says and it's obvious she's still mad about the fact that Mia lied. I think we all are.

"Forget her. Let's watch a movie like we originally planned besties!" Alice says overly excited causing us all to laugh.
