CHAPTER TEN - EPILOGUE
FIVE YEARS LATER
She heard the front door open and close, keys being dropped into the bowl within the foyer. Today she spent her day off cooking a massive dinner for the get together while taking care of Scott and Laura. Glancing out the window both children were cleaning up the water balloon mess they made earlier.
Footsteps daunted closer as she put the salad into the fridge, shutting the door she turned around seeing him right behind her. Smiling she effortlessly kissed him, welcoming him home after his long day as Google's Tools and Prototypes Developer. His eyes found her's after their little wordless moment, looking around the kitchen.
"I must say Mrs. Twombly it smells good in here." Stuart said, reaching for a piece, Joelle smacking his hand away.
"Wait until everyone arrives Stu, remember last time? You ate all the deviled eggs, you know I made those for Billy and he didn't even get one." Joelle said as the back door slid open both Scott and Laura running in and over to Stuart.
Since the internship, a lot has happened. Scott is now seven, taller than most boys his age but still her little Scott. Like usual he was in his favorite Iron Man shirt, thin for constant use but he loved it, they wouldn't complain. Following him was his three-year old sister Laura, who looked a lot like her brother. Just they did have their differences, Laura being as pale as Stuart as to Scott who had Mason's tan skin. Her hair was like her's though, a blonde while Scott had dark brown hair.
It made little difference seeing as Stuart's hair was just as dark.
"Dad you missed it! We had the best water balloon fight!" Scott said excitedly.
Laura nodded, "I got all da pink ballwoons."
"I'm sorry I missed it guys. Sounds like fun, whatcha two up to now?" Stuart asked getting the unison response of 'cleaning up' in very unenthusiastic voices. Joelle sighed telling them to quickly go finish so they could be ready for everyone to be here. In the end she bribed them saying Nick and Dana's daughter Ruby would be here soon. That kicked them into gear, wanting to see the infamous four-year old who was their play buddy when they had to be at Google one day.
The two ran back outside, leaving her and Stuart inside.
"I'm gonna take a shower, and then I'll be back down. That is unless-"
Joelle stopped Stuart right there, chuckling, "As much as shower sex appeals to me now I'm still cooking and one of us has to watch thing one and thing two."
"Please Jo, I had a really rough day. Mutual orgasms fix everything." He pleaded and Joelle bit her lip, pulling him closer arching up so they were pressed together in the most sinful way she could muster.
"How about you go upstairs, take a shower and think about all the dirty things we can do tonight with the leftover frosting I have in the fridge after the kids are asleep. Sound good?" Joelle asked, Stuart's jaw lose as his pupils dilated, cheeks getting redder.
He nodded, almost running up the stairs to get to the shower. Laughing to herself, she finished almost everything keeping it in the fridge or oven by the time the doorbell rang. She opened the kitchen window, "They're here. Come inside." Laura and Scott quickly threw away the gathered balloon pieces and Joelle went to open the front door. Standing there were Libby and her husband Marcus with smiles on their faces, welcoming her with a hug. Letting them in she also greeted Lyle and Marielena before closing the door.
"Libby!" Her kids gasped attacking the old woman in hugs and kisses before doing the same to Marcus, Lyle, and Marielena.
"So where's Stuart? Please tell me he isn't still at work." Marie asked, in the kitchen/dining room with everyone else.
Joelle took off her over shirt, overheated as she pointed upstairs, "He actually just got home, wanted to take a shower. Can I get you guys something to drink?"
In the end they all grabbed beers accept Libby who took a wine cooler. By the time Stuart came back downstairs, everyone but Nick and Dana were here. Both Scott and Laura were a little upset but when Yo-Yo and Neha came they seemed to forget about it for now.
"So, tell me Yo-Yo...who is she? Is she from work?" Billy asked and everyone turned their attention to Yo-Yo who has had two eyebrows for the past two years.
"You finally have a lady?" Marcus asked.
Yo-Yo blushed, pausing for a minute, "Uh Noelani is actually from Stanford, she was in my technology class."
Joelle was in awe, the name Noelani very pretty but didn't have long when the doorbell rang. Stuart put down his drink but she got it, Laura on his lap all comfortable. Opening the door is was finally Nick and Dana, Ruby not even stopping to say hi before rushing into the house. Stuart yelled, ever everyone looked over apparently Laura kneeing him in the dick while getting up.
"It's nice you guys thing this is funny." Stuart snapped and everyone let out their laughter at that point.
Joelle turned back hugging both new guests. "Nice to see you guys make it."
"Sorry we were late Joelle, Ruby had a meltdown." Nick said and she brushed it off letting them inside.
Sitting back down with everyone else, they talked more about Noelani and how she was an exchange student from Hawaii. The conversation turned into Neha's love life which was adorable, she found a girl at Comic-Con who was cosplaying the slave girl Leia as well, they've been in contact. Joelle was happy for her, for everyone. Soon though everyone was ready for food and Joelle got out everything from the salad, pasta, potatoes, to the chicken and pork. It was a lot of food but it was worth the compliments that followed.
"Can we has cake now Mommy?" Laura asked.
"You made a cake? This is why we love you." The group said.
"Hey I helped!" Scott said quickly.
Neha smiled, ruffling his hair, "That's awesome bud, I bet it's awesome."
"It is." Joelle smirked putting all the dinner plates in the sink for now and got smaller plates for everyone, the getting out what she announced to be the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. After that is was all laughs and conversation, all the while enjoying the cake. It might be domestic as hell, and five years ago she would've never pictured this as her life.
But she wouldn't change a thing.
A few hours later when everyone was gone, Stuart was upstairs getting Laura and Scott down. There hasn't been laughing for a few minutes so they were most likely asleep. Smirking to herself she grabbed the frosting she didn't use and kept her promise, making her way up and into the master bedroom.
Taking off her clothing Joelle sat on the bed, putting some frosting on her finger and licking it off. Thankfully she was right on time as the door opened. Stuart shut the door before looking up, biting his lip making a rather loud noise.
"You okay?" Joelle asked, eyebrow arched.
Stuart rolled his eyes already shirtless, "Fuck you."
"I'm pretty sure that was the plan Stu." Joelle said laughing a bit.
There was no more frosting.
HERE IS IS! I finished this, and I'm sorry if this isn't the ending you wanted. I guess I needed this? I don't know but I really hope you all were happy. I am, this is my first work outside of the Teen Wolf fandom, well I kinda followed Dylan O'Brien but whatever. Still, there's no werewolves, no nogitsunes, no kitsunes, no kanimas or alpha packs. Just a good 'ole fashion internship. Thank you all for reading, this means a lot to me...now go eat some frosting alright? HAHAH!
