HERE IS CHAPTER 10! I love this, it's SO CUTE! I fangirled so much while I wrote it, so I think you will, too.
Disclaimer: I own nothing from Supernatural except for Estielle!
September, Three Months Later
Estielle couldn't help but smile as Cas walked into the room that her and one of Dean's friends, Jo, would help him calm down and get ready. They were in Maine, after finding out that the state would allow Cas and Dean to get married legally in September, after a law passed in April made gay marriage legal, much to Estielle's delight and Cas and Dean's amasement.
Estielle hugged Castiel tightly, nearly crying. 'Oh, my God, Castiel, you look great!' The angel was wearing a grey suit, with a dark blue collared shirt underneath nearly blending in with his usual navy blue tie. Jo grabbed a pocket sized bunch of small white flowers from a table, and pinned it to his front.
'One last thing, Cas.'
Jo picked up Liviana's Polaroid camera, and loaded it with film quickly. 'Okay, you two, the last picture of Castiel as a bachelor! One, two, three!' She clicked, and after the picture finished, she put it into Estielle's purse. 'It's for a late birthday present from me to you and Liviana. No spoilers!'
The ceremony was outside at an old property nobody owned, but was beautiful nonetheless. An old Victorian style house, basically crumbling into ruins, blocked a large garden, which had been restored to its former glory by Estielle, Sam and Jo over a period of only two months. Flowers were in bloom in cracks in a stone fence, a path leading to an archway from the side of the house where Cas would go to Dean. Chairs were set up in three rows of two on two sides; Some Fallen Angels who had been friends of Castiel had been invited, and only two other hunters besides Dean's brother, Bobby, Ellen and Jo who he trusted fully were invited, as well.
Estielle had been asked to preside; She had paid the most attention to how weddings worked while she was in Heaven, wondering if she'd ever have to opportunity to wear the long, white dresses that millions of women had worn.
As the ten people began to arrive in convoys of two cars -Bobby's truck and Dean's Impala- Cas waited with restlessness in the broken house as Estielle got her dress on in a bathroom. She walked out, and Castiel grinned widely as she walked gracefully to him and out the door, the dark blue, floor length empire dress billowing behind her in the slight breeze that blew through the air.
Estielle hugged Dean as he got out of the car, Sam kissing her as he held onto her waist with both hands.
'You look beautiful, Estie. Really.'
Estielle smiled, straightened his tie and smoothed his suit. 'And you look extremely handsome, Sam Winchester.'
Sam laughed, and then went to sit down in the first row on Dean's side of the chairs. She welcomed the Angels with hugs and words in Enochian, her eyes flaming when she spoke the language in her melodic voice, and she smiled when she saw Sam turn around and stare at her in awe.
She greeted the two hunters, only to have them ignore her and instead go to pull them into bear hugs. Estielle rolled her eyes and mouthed to Jo, who was sitting in the back row next to her mother, 'Rude much?' The other girl nodded and laughed. Estielle looked at her phone, confirming that the ceremony was going to start on schedule. She put it into her purse pocket, and then set it down next to Sam. She stood underneath the archway, Dean on her left side. He smiled at her, and she smiled back.
'Hello, friends and family, Angels and hunters. We're here now to bless the profound bond of Castiel and Dean Winchester with the ritual of marriage under the eyes of Our Father. Please rise, and Castiel, it's time!' There was a collective creak from the chairs as the people stood up, and Estielle felt her heart flutter as Dean finally saw Cas, his face brightening and his eyes shining like stars even though the sun was starting to set. As Cas approached, Sam stood up, and went brought two pieces of paper from his pocket. He walked up to Estielle. He dropped his voice to a whisper.
'Here are their vows, just have them say them and then marry them. Okay?' Estielle nodded as soon as Cas stopped and turned to face Dean. Estielle looked at them, to the angels who were smiling, silently blessing them both.
'The grooms have chosen to exchange their own vows. Here you go!' She handed the pages to their respective writers, and Cas nodded to Dean, who laughed.
'Okay, I guess I'm first.' He cleared his throat.
'Cas, we met under some rather strange circumstances. But the way we met is probably what helped us get here. So, as your husband, I promise with all my heart to stay with you, even if it means we could get hurt. I promise to take care of you if you feel like you aren't alright, I will try to fix whatever makes you feel broken, I will never, ever leave you, and I will always, always be yours.'
Cas swallowed. 'Wow. I don't think mine will amount to much against that, but, oh well!' He laughed.
'Dean. I guarded you for most of your life, and never knew what it really meant to be human until I actually met you the night I fell. These past months, from watching Estielle and Sam become a couple to having you tell me you wanted to be with me forever, have meant everything to me. Dean, I don't think anyone will ever love you as I do. I won't hurt you, I will make you as happy as I can, I will heal you if you get hurt, I'll give you strength when you feel weak, and, more than anything, I will always and forever love you.'
Estielle wiped her eyes, breathing in shakily. She smiled. 'Sam, can you please give me the rings?' Sam gave her the box, and she carefully opened it, handing each ring to them. After they had them on, Estielle looked up for a moment for consolation. When a star flared into a small ball of colour, she looked back at Dean and Cas, then to the group. 'I am happy to formally introduce Dean and Castiel Winchester as a married couple.'
The after party was held after an all-night drive at the Roadhouse, where more hunters than Dean expected were waiting to welcome him and Castiel. A space had been cleared for a dance floor, and already a few intoxicated people were swaying to old country music. When Dean and Cas danced, and then Dean with Estielle and Castiel with Ellen, Sam hopped up onto the stage as people flooded onto the dance floor.
'Okay, so I have a special request from a person who wishes to remain anonymous.'
He nodded to Jo, who smiled and put a CD into the sound system. As soon as the song began, every single person on the dance floor moved off to the side, and when Estielle tried to follow, they only waved her back. Sam jumped down from the stage, and held onto her as they swayed to The Beatles.
'How did they know that this is our song?'
Sam laughed. 'I planned this! Estie, there was no special request for Something, everyone knew about it, even Cas and Dean!'
'Really?'
Sam nodded as the song sped up. 'Really.'
Estielle smiled as Sam picked her up and spun her in a circle, and then the song slowed back down as he gently set her back on the ground. The angel kept her arms around Sam's neck, and he held onto her back while they swayed. Suddenly, the music was fast again, and Sam grabbed her hand as it flew gracefully off of his shoulder, spinning her in a circle before bringing it down to her back, leaning her over so he could kiss her.
'Estie,' Sam said softly, letting her stand back up, 'We've been together as long as Dean and Cas hve, and I've been wanting to say this ever since I first learned who you were. Because, you know, I love you more than anyone on the planet. So…' He pulled out a black box from his pocket, and Estielle felt her heart speed up.
'Estielle…' Her hands flew to her mouth when he got on one knee.
'Will you marry me?'
She stood there for a second, and then screamed, 'YES!' before flinging her arms around his neck and kissing him as everyone clapped. Somewhere she heard Dean yell, 'SAM, YOU BETTER HAVE BETTER LUCK!' Sam and Estielle laughed.
'I am lucky, because, and I know it's corny as hell, because I have you.'
Estielle swore she had never loved anyone more than she loved Sam in that moment.
'Estielle! This is for you!' After the party had ended, almost all the other hunters gone, Jo ran after Estielle, Sam, Cas and Dean as they were about to get into the Impala, carrying a book in her hands. 'This is the present I told you about yesterday.'
Estielle took the book, and read the cover out loud. 'Dean and Cas' wedding, September 2nd, 2009. Thanks, Jo!'
'I already put a ton of pictures I took at the wedding in there, including signed ones from the people who were at the ceremony. The angels were all for it!'
Estielle flipped through, and stopped near the end. She saw her in the air, her dress twirling around her, Sam looking up at her with adoration clear as day on his face as a light shone like a spotlight on her hair, catching each flaming strand in a ray of white that caught it on fire.
Estielle hugged Jo. 'Thanks this really means a lot. You are the best! Keep in touch, alright?'
Jo nodded. 'No problem. If you ever want to, just drive over here. You're always welcome!'
With that, Estielle got in the back seat, and slept better than she had for a month.
There it was, chapter 10! I hope you liked it, I do. Review and tell me how it was or what ideas you have next for me, I love feedback a lot!
