I think I am continuously running a day behind on Tokka week, ugh so busy... Anyway, this chapter is pretty short, so sorry about that, the next one should be longer.
"So, what's your plan of attack?" Sokka asked the next morning, Katara was off that day so they didn't have to worry about her overhearing them.
"I asked her to help me go shopping after work with Meng," Toph said, sounding more than a little grumpy. "We'll try to get her to talk about it, Meng's really good at getting people to open up."
"That sounds like an awesome plan!"
"Yeah, remember you owe me big time for this."
Katara came in close to five and told Sokka to let Toph know she was here while she waited at a table. She didn't have to wait long before the blind baker and her dog emerged from the back.
"You ready to go, Sweetness?"
"Yeah, where's you cousin?" Katara asked, getting up from the table.
"She usually waits for me outside on the patio."
"Sneak attack!" Sokka cried, running up behind Toph as the two girls were about to leave the shop. Toph punched him squarely in the shoulder as he approached while Katara tried not to laugh.
"Sneak attacks don't work if you announce them, Dumb Ass," Toph told him.
"Maybe," he said as he quickly planted a kiss on her cheek. "But I still got what I came for. Later!" It took her a second to get over the shock, but when she did she realized Sokka had taken her bag of cookies.
"Sokka you little prick! I'll get you for that!" she called before heading outside with Katara to meet Meng, aware of the warmth on her cheeks and hoping Katara didn't notice.
