Chapter 8
Secret

Jura was still held in a vise like grip with a dagger at her throat. The only difference was that it was clone holding her. Loki (the real Loki) and Lenora were having a glaring contest.

"What's the game Asgardian?" Jura coughed out. Loki looked over at her.

"Simple. I want revenge on Asgard…and maybe Jotunheim."

"I assumed that! But why do you need us, ow!" Jura kicked at the clone. "Watch the knife moron!"

"For an elf, you can be quite dense."

"So I've been told."

"Obviously." Jura glared at her sword only a few feet away. She began to whisper a spell, but Loki waved a hand. Jura's lips continued to move, but no sound came out. She tried a few more times, but nothing happened. Jura mentally groaned. She wasn't willing to risk a mental incantation when there was still a way out. She extended her mind to Lenora and melded her mind with the dragons.

Ideas?

Will you not let me eat him?

No.

Then I have no ideas.

Thanks.

If you would let me…

NO. We are merciful.

But…

Lenora. The dragon subsided, grumbling. Jura searched through her mind, examining every trick she could find. No, too predictable… would never work…ridiculous…this went on for quite some time. Loki was busy conjuring up holographic maps and examining them. Lenora was curled on the other side of the clearing, unable to do anything because of the knife pressed to her Rider's throat. Finally Loki grinned.

"Brilliant," he murmured.

Oh no. Jura thought. Loki turned and faced her.

"The dragon will be a diversion. You and I, elf, will use the diversion and sneak into the palace where we can get my revenge."

You should have let me eat him, Lenora sing-songed in Jura's head. Jura wished that she could mentally glare.

Lenora, I swear upon the graves of my ancestors…

Jura, we are about to be used for this human's revenge scheme. Tell me that that is not cause enough for me to eat him.

It is cause but, like I said before, we are merciful. Lenora quickly scoured Jura's mind and came across a startling fact.

You find him to be attractive! And quite intriguing…

What, no!

Yes, you do.

No I do not! You are confused by all that has gone on. We need to play along until we can escape. Lenora let out a snort and subsided. She knew what was going on in her Rider's mind whether the elf denied it to herself or not. Loki snapped his fingers and the clone vanished. Glowing bands wrapped around Jura's wrists and ankles. The elf looked at the light in confusion. "What is this?" she asked.

"Insurance. Now come, we must make it to a portal before nightfall. Follow me." Jura was tempted to stay behind, but Lenora flicked her tail, a signal that they should do what the crazy god human person wanted. Jura muttered under her breath, but followed.

I'm sorry that this one is shorter :/ But I kind of ran out of inspiration…oh well. R&R!
