(AN) I am sad...I didn't get many reviews but, oh well! This chapter took absolutely FOREVER to finish writing, but here you go! I hope you like it!

Sarah POV

When Jordan said he was done, though 'll deny it if anyone asks, I was more relieved than I ever have been. He bounced up and squealed like a little kid, I rolled my eyes but when he told us what it said I wasn't so lighthearted.

"When you pass through this door, there is no turning back.

Try as you may, no way to escape.

But if you succeed at the hard task ahead

The reward you seek may lay just beyond reach."

The door opens and we all go to file in, I hesitate but then realize we'd have to go through anyway and grab my small bag, that holds only some essentials; My knife, some ambrosia and nectar for emergencies, and my iPod. And before you say anything, this is essential for me, just ask Samantha or Jordan, they'll agree in full. I pull it out and attach my purple earbuds. I stick them in my ears and scroll through the song choices until I find one to lift my spirits. The first chords of the song blast in my ears and I stick my iPod in my pocket, humming along to the tune. When we get into the room we stop and I gasp. Before us is a huge doorway with ice crystals and icicles hanging from the top and on the sides. The door slams behind us and I whip around staring at the others.

"Uh, guys? Any other ideas on what we've got to do, 'cause I'm all out," I say. Jordan takes a step toward me and pulls out an earbud.

"You are being freakishly loud," he says smiling.

"Oh...oops!" I reply, feeling my face go hot. It's one thing to embarrass yourself in front of your best friend, it's another to embarrass yourself when you're on a quest to save a giant flaming hammer…...You know, now that I say it, this quest just sounds weird anyway.

So I laugh it off and reply, "Haha, loud music does that to a girl." Jordan smiles and I look to Samantha who's messing with the small braid in her hair and chewing her lip while staring at the doors, I walk over to her and she smiles a weak smile at me.

"Hey Sam," I say, hopping up next to her. I'm sure I'm not helping her figure anything out but at least it takes her mind off things, and mine too.

"Hey Sarah," she says sighing.

"What's up?" I ask her, but then I realize, "is it about your necklace?"

She sighs and looks at me, "let's just...not talk about it."

She looks ready to cry so I oblige and change the subject, "So, what do you think about this place?"

"It's creepy, cold and damp...I don't like it."

Leo walks up next to us and looks at Sam, "At least it beats somewhere I can't burn us out of. At least here there a chance of us getting out."

Samantha smiles, a genuine smile this time and replies, "Of course Mr. supreme commander of the Argo II" Leo laughs and I walk away, back toward the door. I've done my job, kept the others from feeling bad, so, now I need something else to occupy my mind. I stare at the doorway that we haven't gone through yet and decide that I'm just going to go and see what happens. I start to walk towards it and Jordan runs up next to me.

"Got any soundtracks for this?"

"Yup," I smile and pull out the plug to the headphones.

"Death surrounds, my heartbeat slowing down," the music blasts from my speakers. Jordan gives me a look like, 'What the Hades are you listening to?' I just smile innocently and look as Leo and Samantha run up to meet us. Samantha looks at my iPod for a moment then shakes her head smiling.

"You guys ready to kick some Ice Princess butt?" Leo asks.

"Absolutely," we run through the doorway together and I realize that this is the first time we've all worked together as a team, not just individuals. I smile and run faster, with Sam right next to me. We leave the boys behind us and run as fast as we can, we get through but the boys aren't so lucky.

I hear a crash from behind me and turn around to see Jordan and Leo trapped in a cage of icicles.

"Guys! Are you both okay?" Samantha calls to them.

"Yeah, we're fine," Jordan replies, "You guys go on ahead, we'll figure a way out"

"Um...okay," Samantha says, not sounding too sure of this plan.

"They'll be fine," I say, putting my arm around her shoulders and walking down a hallway, "Trust me, the worst they could do is get a papercut or something, they'll be fine, meanwhile, we need to get looking, before that stupid Ice goddess decides to give us a visit."

A sudden noise from behind us makes both Sam and I stiffen suddenly. We stay completely still and listen, I hear a hissing noise and it sounds like it's approaching us, we turn around and right in front of us is a large black mamba with silver markings. It hisses again and looks straight at me with its beady, black eyes. I hold back a scream and pull out my knife.

Now, If you know me, you know that there are not a lot of monsters that I am afraid of, but I am terrified of snakes, they're the one animal that make me want to run and hide in a hole, but I know that in this case I can't leave Samantha to do it alone. Sam pulls out her dagger and glares at the creature. She looks at me, my knife and then at her dagger, then back to me with a worried look in her eyes.

"We're going to need a long range weapon to kill this thing without getting bitten," she says and I nod, eyeing the snake out of the corner of my eye.

Samantha seems to notice my discomfort because she says, "We'll be fine, if someone gets bitten we should have enough ambrosia and nectar to save them...unless there's no antivenom...wait, what kind of snake is that?"

"Black Mamba," I reply.

"Uh...there's not an antivenom for a Black Mamba."

"Oh Gods," I give the snake another worried glance but then turn to face it, "On three?" I ask.

"On three," Samantha says, "One."

"Two."

"THREE!" We run at the snake.

"Aim for the tail, make it angry!" Samantha calls a half second before I'm right in front of the thing, I do as she says and swipe at its tail, cutting it clean off, golden ichor runs out from the large wound but the thing is still living.

"WHAT!" I scream in outrage. I look at Samantha for a moment but I shouldn't have, when I look back the mamba is striking at me. I block it's huge mouth with my knife and it hisses in anger. It thumps its thick tail on the ground and something else comes around the corner.

A large, white as snow wolf spider comes around the corner and taps its legs to the ground, and makes a clicking noise. Samantha's eyes widen in terror and she drops her dagger, her hands shaking.

"Oh. My. GODS!" she squeals and want to go help her, but I've got a snake to take care of. I see the reptile out of the corner of my eye and keep it in my line of sight until I know that Samantha is okay.

The spider takes a step closer and Sam suddenly snaps out of her daze and picks up her dagger again. I still see terror in her eyes but she's ready for a fight anyway.

I turn back to the snake and it strikes at me again, but this time, it's not as lucky as it was last time, I run my knife through its head and it starts bleeding even more, not quite dead, but close. It hisses in pain and strikes again, but this time not at me but at my knife. I pull my hand away in time and its head goes down. I lift my dagger and strike it at the base of its head. It hisses in pain and disintegrates into golden dust.

I lower my hands, panting, and look at Samantha, who's holding her own against the spider. She is gripping her dagger and putting it out in front of her, holding off the spider from jumping at her. I catch her eye for an moment and make a motion with my knife. She nods and a take a few steps back. I then run at the arachnid and jump onto its back, hanging on with one hand and stabbing it with the other, I stab it in the eyes and Samantha comes around and whacks it with the but of her dagger, it stumbles and falls onto the ground which shakes me off, I drop and roll off, coming back up about six feet away. The spider is trying to stand back up but it is still slightly stunned by Sam's blow, I look at Samantha for a moment and then we both run and jump onto the spider's back and stab it in the soft spot, it makes one last clicking noise with its feet and dissolves into dust, leaving Sam and I exhausted, sweaty and sprawled out on the ground. I pull out a tiny little bit of ambrosia and hand a small amount to Sam for any healing or energy she may need. We eat slowly and suddenly I feel energetic again.

I hop to my feet and help Samantha up as well and we venture forward until we come to two hallways, each with a sign over top of it. One in Greek, the other in Hieroglyphics.

"Oh Gods, not this again," I say with a huff.

Samantha laughs and replies, "You don't like translating I take it?"

I shake my head, "No, no I don't..."

She smiles at me, "It can't be that bad."

"Really? Why don't you translate those Hieroglyphs?"

She stares at me for a moment but then says, "I'll try, if I do you have to let me make you do something."

"Do what?"

"Hmmm….how about...make you wear pink for a whole week, I choose everything you wear with the help of Drew."

My eyes widen...the thought of wearing pink for a week makes me want to regurgitate my ambrosia but she can't possibly translate a language she doesn't know right?

I take the chance, "Deal, you have less than ten minutes."

And Samantha sets to work.

Leo POV

Jordan is currently yelling at me to burn faster as I try my best to melt the humungous icicles.

"I'm going as fast as I can!" I scream in reply.

That's when we hear someone scream.

"That sounds like Sarah!" Jordan says, a worried look crossing his face, but it disappears as soon as I see it so I wonder if it was even there.

"Melt it faster! MELT IT FASTER!" Jordan screeches at me.

"Oh Gods..." I roll my eyes and make my fingers burn and bright as they can. I have one icey tendril half melted when another scream sound from the room where the girls walked in.

I look at Jordan and he stares back, his eyes wide. And then I work faster, burning and melting as fast as I can.

After a while I start to feel slightly light headed but I continue anyway. I may be awesome but even my powers have their limits. I try harder but suddenly everything goes black.

Sarah POV

I'm sitting listening to "Welcome to My Life" when Samantha comes up to me and pulls out an earbud.

"Yes?" I ask.

"I figured it out!" She says, smiling hugely.

"I told you that you-wait...WHAT!" I stare at her, gaping.

"I figured it out, I said I could and I did, so, now you must listen to my every word when we get back to camp."

"Okay, first, I have to make sure you're right, what does it say?"

"The first says, 'Going through here will only cause trouble, no one can save you now, not even your double.' And the second says, 'If you succeed you can come through this way, but until then this will only cause you severe delay.' What could these mean?"

"First let me translate them first..." Gods I hope she's wrong...

Five minutes later I turn to my best friend wide eyed.

"..."

"Am I right?" She asks.

"..." I nod slowly, unable to speak as pictures run through my mind of wearing pink for a week.

Samantha laughs and pats my back, "Don't worry, it's only a week!" She laughs again and I pull out my dagger and point it at her.

She shuts up…

"Well," I say slowly after about a minute of sitting on the ground staring at the wall, "We obviously need to go through here," I point to the first door, "Because the other door says if we try to go through there yet we could possibly be killed... I think I'd rather live thanks."

Samantha rolls her eyes and pulls me up by my ponytail.

"Ow ow ow ow!" I slap at her hand and she lets go, laughing.

"What?" I ask.

"Nothing...Hey, you want to go check on the guys? Make sure they aren't dead yet?"

I know she's joking but it did hit me hard, what if we somehow did die? What would happen if any of us were dead? If Leo died Jason, Piper, Jordan, and many others would be devastated. If Samantha died I would cry for months in a corner on my own...If Jordan died I'd do the same, and Leo doesn't need to lose anyone else...but...what if I died? Who would miss me? I'm sure Samantha and Jordan would be sad but they'd move on...but I don't know about anyone else…

I shake my head quickly and mutter, "No time for that...Find the boys."

I walk back to the room where the boys were trapped and find Jordan trying to chip off some ice from the icicles of the cage with his sword while kicking a passed out Leo in the ribs.

Jordan notices me and waves me over, looking worried, "How in the name of Isis did this happen?" I hiss at him, then I cover my mouth, realizing that I just hissed…like a cat...in a fight...what the heck is wrong with me?

My best friend gives me a look as if to say, 'What the heck is wrong with you?'

So before he can say anything I glare at him and say, "You say one thing about that and I will beat the Horus out of you..."

He puts his hands up in a sign of surrender and then says, "Uh...okay...anyway, Leo passed out while trying to melt this thing..." He almost taps the ice but then thinks better of it and pulls his hand away.

I sigh slightly and then tell him I'm going to go get Sam and see if she can help. When I walk into the hall again I can't find her though, I look at the hallway but she isn't there so I walk back out to Leo and Jordan.

"Can't find her," I say, trying not to sound worried.

"When I get us both out of here we'll help look," Jordan picks up his sword and starts chipping again until I reach in and stop him. He raises an eyebrow at me.

"Yes?"

"I think I know how to do it," I say, watching Jordan's eyes widen.

"How?"

"Use all of our strengths. I can try and will it to melt, Leo can physically melt it, and you can cut at it until there's enough room for you two to get out."

"One problem, our flamethrower is currently unconscious."

"Yeah...that...Maybe I can get him to wake up."

I look at Leo for a moment before trying to talk to him, "Hey, Leo? You need to wake up right now or we're all going to die."

He doesn't stir.

"C'mon stupid! WAKE THE HECK UP!"

He still doesn't make any movement. I look at Jordan and he shrugs.

"I've been trying for a while, he takes longer than you to wake up."

I raise an eyebrow at him and laugh, "Is that a compliment?"

"Uh...no, not really. But, knowing you, you take it as one."

"Yes, yes I do," I look back at Leo and decide to try a new approach...I slap him in the face and what do you know? He wakes up.

I notice Jordan staring at Leo like he's a zombie or something and say to him, "What? I'm magical!" He rolls his eyes and I explain my plan to Leo.

He nods and we start, I go first until we see it start to melt, then Leo and Jordan start working on it. I look at Jordan and Leo's faces. The usually cocky expression that Leo has is gone and replaced by a look of pure concentration and Jordan's face is unreadable. Like a mixture of rage and happiness...and I thought I was confusing. I suddenly feel a sharp pain in my left hand. I suck in a sharp breath and focus on the hand, which is now blistering quickly. I pull my left hand away from the ice and keep the right one close to it. But then I realize that my hand made a large imprint in the ice. I stare at my hand for a moment before putting it back on and pushing hard. I hold back a scream and push harder, hoping neither of the boys notice my face. I push and push until there's nothing left for me to push on and my hand goes through. I pull it back quickly and pull out a small bottle of nectar from my bag. After drinking a small sip I let some drip onto my hand until it numbs the pain. I stare at my blistered hand.

My palm is white as snow and the fingertips are as well. My knuckles are starting to blister quickly. I close my eyes and eat a little ambrosia before opening them again to see Jordan and Leo staring at me with odd expressions.

"What?" I ask

Neither of them seem to be able to speak.

"Did you just-" Jordan starts, but I cut him off.

"Yes, I just made a hole in the ice."

"But how did you-" Leo begins, but I cut him off as well.

"Through lots of awesomeness, and pain...so much pain. We done?"

They both nod and Leo pulls out a small object from his belt. One look and I realize it's a tiny grenade.

Jordan raises and eyebrow and Leo smiles deviously, "Stand back."

He places the fingertip size grenade next to the remaining bit of ice and pulls the pin, then runs to the other side of the cage next to Jordan. I walk back wands, being careful not to run into the walls and watch it.

It goes off with a loud bang and chunks of ice go flying everywhere. I dodge a few before walking back over to the guys.

"Wait a sec," I say when I get over there, "You had that grenade, this entire flipping tim and I JUST STUCK MY HAND THROUGH BURNING ICE?! I AM GOING TO BEAT THE FLIPPING HORUS OUT OF YOU SO HELP ME!" Jordan has to hold me back from killing Leo until I calm down. Leo cowers a bit until I'm done flipping out. I still give him my best death glare.

He looks at what's left of the cage, which is still mostly intact and exclaims, "Darn it! I was hoping it'd be awesome! But no, it had to flunk and just make this tiny little bmrhmhrm" Jordan sticks his hand on Leo's mouth.

"Shut up."

Leo says nothing only glares at Jordan for a second before returning to normal.

"Let's go find Sammie"

"Sammie?" I say, raising a questioning eyebrow.

"Sure," he says, smiling shrewdly, "Why not?"

"Whatever, let's go." I start ahead, leading the boys to the hallway. I gesture at the two halls and we all vote on going through the left one. We walk in and suddenly there are walls between each of us. I look around but all I see is myself. Mirrors are everywhere.

"Jordan? Leo? You guys okay?" I call, but I get no answer.

"Guys?" I call again, louder this time.

I hear a faint and barely audible, "I hear you Sarah, let's just try to get through here and find Samantha."

So, Jordan's okay, but what about Leo? I call to him on the other side, "Yo! Leo! You alright?"

I hear a muffled, "Nothing can keep this awesomeness down!" and know he's fine, so then I start to try and navigate my way through the mirrors. Until one of them speaks to me.
