Aiden had been spending the evening getting completely wasted at the Stowaway. Jack looked on with interest, knowing that he and Emily were cozy. He figured it was something about her, with the way he was knocking back beers.
And, like Aiden was not suffering enough already, the bachelorette party blew into the bar like a tropical storm. Anyone unlucky (or perhaps lucky?) enough to be caught in the eye found themselves dragged along. Emily was on the fringes, playing at being a tipsy party girl, all while keeping her ears open for anything she could use to her advantage. Aiden, watching with steam coming out from his ears, could do nothing as Emily flirted with one of the bartenders, scoring free drinks for her and the girls. She looked his way by chance, noting his harried appearance, and could not mask the brewing turmoil she was feeling. Able to keep the girls satisfied the whole night by faking getting drunk, she now felt the need to get real drunk, and knocked back one of the fruity drinks Amanda ordered. She watched as he disappeared into a booth in the corner that was enshrouded with darkness.
