"Ugh I forgot to close my curtains," Kim groans as she puts a pillow over her head. Ah nice and cool; Kim thinks for about a minute. Damn it this is not going to work. Kim slowly rises out of her bed and stretches. Might as well get up and get the day started. She walks to the bathroom and brushes her teeth before she hops into the shower. After the shower, she wraps a towel around her and walks into her bedroom. I guess I should just put on jeans and a tee shirt. Kim slips on the clothes and marches into Aisha room. "Rise and shine bear."
"What the hell time is it?" Aisha half asks half groans from her bed.
Kim glances at her watch. "The time is eight-thirty."
"So why the hell are you in my room this early," Aisha asks.
Kim bounces on Aisha's bed. "Oh I don't know pay back for opening up my curtains yesterday and forgetting to close them before you walked out my room."
Aisha flings a pillow at Kim. "I thought we were mad at the boys!"
"Oh, I can have many tiffs at once," Kim, tells her as she flings the pillow back at her friend. "Besides we have to begin pledging soon and I do not want to be late."
"Pledge this," Aisha puts up the middle finger.
Kim snickers, "The early bird catches the worm."
Aisha stares at Kim. "Kim, get the hell of my bed bouncing and stop saying metaphors."
Kim bounces on Aisha. "The river is calm before the storm."
"That is it," Aisha begins to wrestle Kim.
"Okay since we are at an impasse, I suggest we both let go on the count of three," Kim suggests.
Aisha considers the offer, "Alright, Kim but I count."
"No, we count together," Kim, jerks her head back trying to move hair out of her face.
"Whatever, let's just get this over with," Aisha mumbles.
"One, two… three," both girls count as they let each other go.
Kim hops off the bed. "At least you are up now."
Aisha flexes her arm. "Ouch, my elbow hurts; I banged it on my headboard."
"I will get you an icepack while you shower," Kim walks to the door.
"Well you are at it make some waffles, eggs, and bacon," Aisha tells Kim as she walks to her closet and begins searching through her clothes.
Kim nods her head in agreement. "If I do that make sure you brush your teeth because your breathe is clowning," Kim crinkles her nose.
Aisha pulls a shirt out of her closet and turns to face Kim. "Well, next time when I am asleep do not wake me up and you will not have to do with the funk."
Kim halts her stride. "I told you if you use my toothpaste than your breath won't be that stinky in the morning and you eat too many foods that funk up your breath as it is."
"Oh well, my boyfriend does not mind my breath," Aisha grabs a pair of jeans from her drawer.
"How long will he put up with that stank mouth of yours," Kim jokes.
Aisha rolls her eyes. "Just have my breakfast wanting for me when I get out the shower."
Kim smiles evilly at Aisha. "Oh I will make you breakfast alright."
"It is a sin to waste food Kimberly; especially to prank me," Aisha walks next to Kim.
"Who said I would do anything to the food; you have to drink something right?"
Aisha shakes her head as she walks past Kim.
Kim laughs as she walks out of Aisha room. I know how to get her. Kim begins cooking breakfast as Aisha showers and gets dressed. Ten minutes later, Kim smiles at her friend. "So, I took the liberty of taking out the cartoon of orange juice and I made a pot of coffee."
Aisha eyes the carton and pot of coffee. "I see you have a mug which means you are drinking coffee." She sits down and begins adding food to her plate.
"Yes, I chose to drink a cup of coffee with my breakfast and your point," Kim asks as she spoons eggs onto her plate. "I need caffeine; we have no idea what they will have in store for us."
Aisha eyes Kim before she pours herself a cup of coffee. She adds sugar and cream. "How about you taste it first than tell me how it is?"
Kim shrugs her shoulders, "Sure, hand it over." Kim holds out her hand.
"You know what Kim; I will just drink it," Aisha slowly raises the mug to her lips before she takes a small gulp of the coffee.
All the while Kim is staring at her with a smile on her face. This is fun. Aisha should know that I am the master of pranks. Tommy taught me well.
"Alright, you did nothing to the coffee, so I will assume you did nothing to the juice," Aisha sets the mug down and reaches for her fork to eat some eggs.
"Why would I do anything to the food or drinks; it is a sin remember." Kim tells her with an innocent expression on her face.
Aisha swallows her eggs. "Because I know you Kim and I know who you dated."
"Well I took the pleasure of watching you squirm and that is all the prank I needed," Kim eats a piece of her waffle. "Just remember having someone think you did something is an excellent prank all in itself." "Mm, I make a delicious waffle."
"I have to give you that; you can cook," Aisha eats some more of her eggs.
Kim picks up a slice of bacon and bites it. "Thank you mommy for all those cooking classes with that private chef and pastry chef."
"You are one lucky lady to have grown up with a mother who enjoys shopping, makeup, and the finest things in life," Aisha eats a forkful of waffle. "My mother was all about the simpler things and finding something to do on my own."
"I did love mother, daughter days but she would want too many and I became smothered between that and my dad with gymnastics." Kim finishes the bacon before she picks up another.
Aisha takes a sip of coffee. "Still being smothered like that is a price I would pay for your wardrobe, shoes, jewelry, and makeup." "My mother is clueless when it comes to makeup."
"Mrs. Campbell's heart to heart were the best and she was always there when you needed her," Kim sips her coffee. "My mother was off on her next adventure when I needed her."
