Author's Note: This chapter ended up a bit shorter than the others, but I liked the way it turned out. Please review :)

Dinner with Fred and George had gone surprisingly well. Apart from getting endlessly teased about Audrey, Percy had a good time. They had mainly talked about their work, friends (in Percy's case girlfriends), and of course their family. The twins had agreed with him, that he should try talking to their dad next as he was the one who was going to be the hardest to get to forgive him. He figured that it would be easiest to talk to his dad without his mother around trying to strangle him in one of her hugs, so the twins had agreed to help with that. They were going to take their mum out to dinner next Saturday, so Percy had a week to prepare.

By the time Saturday came around, Percy felt as though he was as prepared as he could be. At seven 'o' clock Percy apparated just outside the wards around the Burrow. Percy quickly crossed the lawn and knocked on the door, feeling more nervous as the time went by. When his dad answered the door, he immediately forgot everything he was going to say. They both stood still for a moment then Arthur said stiffly.

"Well come in" and after Percy followed him into the living room he continued. " I had a feeling the twins had a reason for taking your mother out for dinner. Would you like some tea or coffee?"

"No thank you." They then fell into an uncomfortable silence. After a couple of minutes Percy finally said quietly, "I'm sorry." His dad stared at him in surprise. "I know what I did was wrong and I feel horrible about it. I...I thought I was doing the right thing, but I never should have left you and mum. I know I never really said this, but I'm thankful for all the things you've done for me over the years. I didn't know what a great life I had until I didn't have it anymore." His dad put a hand on his shoulder to stop him and gave a small smile.

"You know, I think that was the first time I ever heard you admit you were wrong." Percy laughed at this.

"That was the first thing Fred and George said after I apologized to them." This time it was Arthur's turn to laugh. "Does this mean I'm forgiven" asked Percy, not wanting to get his hopes up.

"Of course it does. I agree that what you did was wrong, but you're still my son and I love you no matter what you do." Both Percy and Arthur had tears in their eyes.

"I love you to dad." Percy hadn't called his father, dad since he was five years old. He had always found the word a bit too childish. Finally Percy lost control of his emotions and started sobbing. His father then pulled him into a hug and started crying himself. Though neither of them would admit it aloud, they both had missed each other more then they had let on.

They stayed like this for a while, but then Arthur said, "You know, Molly has really been missing you. It would be nice if you could come for dinner one night." After seeing the uncertainty in his son's eyes he added, "It wouldn't have to be a big family dinner. It could just be the three of us."

"I would like that" replied Percy, his voice cracking a little.

A couple minutes later they heard three pops that signaled the twin's and Molly's return. Percy jumped up and attempted to get away before they came inside, but he was a bit to slow

"PERCY" their mother cried when she saw him walking towards the fireplace. She immediately gave him a big hug and said, "what are you doing here?'

"I came to apologies to father for everything I've done. I've realized that what I did was wrong, so I've came to try and make things right. I was just leaving." said Percy, trying to get out of his mother's hug.

"Oh my little boy" cried Molly.

"Molly dear, Percy's been through a lot tonight, he probably wants to go home." Percy shot his dad a grateful glance. "But I've invited him to dinner one day, so you can see him them."

"Oh, alright" said Molly reluctantly letting go of her son. "I've just missed you so much."

"I've missed you too mum" said Percy, feeling his eyes getting wet again. "Bye Fred, George, Dad, I guess I'll see you around."

"Bye son"

"See you later Perce" the twins chorused as he walked out of the Burrow. By the time he was back in his flat, he felt as though a huge weight had been lifted off his shoulders. It felt good to be part of the family again.
