Sakura had fallen asleep in class again. They were in the middle of chemistry, and she'd already done all the work on the topic so she got bored. She honestly couldn't be bothered paying attention, and Syaoran wasn't going to let her escape the classroom since he'd used the gold chain that hung from his black pants to tie her to him.

Fai was going through the questions quickly since he found them to be rather easy. Once he'd finished, he began throwing bits of scrunched up paper at the back of Sakura's head.

"Fai! Sakura!" Their teacher, Yuuko snapped.

Sakura jolted awake and Fai looked up, stopping what he was doing. "Huh-wha?" Sakura asked sleepily.

Syaoran had to stifle his laugh along with several other students.

"You can stay after class to clean up." She smiled.

"Noooo." Sakura groaned.

"Not you Sakura, I'm talking about Fai. But I would like to speak to you about your sleeping habits." The teacher smiled.

"Ok…" Sakura yawned.

Syaoran looked at her out the corner of his eye; she felt his gaze and immediately straightened herself, aware of the "punishment" she'd get. It wasn't abusive, if anything it was more…sexual than anything. Fai noticed her go rigid, and finally clicked.

"Ooh, Sakura's gone all the way huh?" he teased. Sakura turned bright red and Syaoran smirked. Everyone went dead silent.

"No way!" one of the girls exclaimed, breaking the silence. Chatter arose in the room and Syaoran continued to smile his usual smile.

"What are you looking so happy about?" Sakura muttered.

"You're mine, and always will be." He said.

"Much like how you belong to me, yes?" she asked.

"Of course, sweet heart." He grinned.

"I keep meaning to ask, why'd you go into the jewellery store on Saturday?" Sakura asked.

"I placed an order for something to be made." He answered simply.

"You're not going to tell me, are you?" she muttered.

"Nope." He answered cheerfully.

Sakura rolled her eyes and began drawing on the side of her page until the class was over.

Sakura walked out of the chemistry room to Syaoran who was waiting for her. "What did she say?" he asked, seeming highly amused by everything.

"Just that I need to stop sleeping in class instead of doing work that could get me further ahead." She replied.

"Well it's true." He laughed.

"Oh shut up…it's not like you do anything." She muttered.

"I'm not the one who falls asleep because they're bored." He smirked.

"Oh screw you!"

"If that's what you want."

"Hey!"

"You said it."

"Syaoran…" she growled.

Syaoran had gone over to Fai's for a while, so Sakura had the house to herself. She chose to clean up the house since it had gotten messy lately, but it wasn't as messy as it could have been. She turned on her music and began cleaning the lounge room, which was the least of her problems.

"Am I really…no good for him…?" she murmured.

There was a knock at the door snapping her away from her thoughts. "Coming!" she called out.

Opening the door, she found Chii standing on her doorstep. "Uh…hi?" She hadn't been expecting her to show up.

"Good afternoon." Chii greeted.

Sakura stepped to the side to allow the princess in, wondering why she had come to her place. The blonde stepped through and looked at her surroundings. "Sorry it's not all that clean; I'm in the middle of cleaning." Sakura said as she closed the door.

"I apologise for coming uninvited, but I wanted to talk to you about something…" the princess had a strange look of confusion on her face, and Sakura knew that she couldn't just turn her away. They may not be on the best of terms, but she was Syaoran's best friend.

"Here, take a seat while I go make us something warm to drink." Sakura gestured towards the couch in the lounge.

"Oh-Thank you." Chii blushed a little and sat down while Sakura went into the kitchen to make some tea.

Looking around, Chii realised that the place seemed to be a little sad. The walls were bare except for the furniture that sat against them. She couldn't see any pictures anywhere. She wondered if Sakura even had any family.

"Here." Sakura placed a china teacup in front of Chii on the small coffee table.

"Thank you. I didn't expect you to own such fine things." Chii smiled.

Sakura nearly rolled her eyes. "Um…if you don't mind me prying, do you not have any family?" Chii asked, taking a sip of her tea. Sakura stayed quiet for a moment; she was surprised Syaoran hadn't told her. But then, he wasn't the type to go running his mouth about personal matters, either.

"No, I don't. They died when I was small." Sakura replied.

Chii felt guilty for asking. "I'm sorry…" she said softly.

Sakura smiled, "It's alright; I was taken in by Yuui and his wife, Freya. They looked after me until I was about fifteen." She said, sensing Chii's uneasiness.

"Yuui? As in the principle from the school?" The princess asked a little shocked. Sakura blinked a few times.

"Yeah-why, do you know him personally?" she asked.

"He's my cousin." Chii replied.

"Didn't expect that…" Sakura murmured. "Anyway-what can I help you with, princess?" Sakura asked.

Chii swallowed hard, unsure how to voice her question. "I know this might sound a little weird especially since I'm asking you of all people…but…how did you know that you were in love with Syaoran?" she asked awkwardly.

Sakura stared at her for a moment. "Uhh…why do you ask?" she said.

"Please-I really need to know." Chii urged. Sakura sighed, "Well…to be honest I'm not really sure. I know that I began to feel these warm emotions around him; I could laugh freely and be myself. It was the first time I felt truly happy, to be honest."

"So…how would I know if I…loved someone?"

"Aren't you engaged?"

"Yes, but I don't really feel all that comfortable around him… and how do you know I'm not talking about Lelouch?"

"Why would you be here asking me of all people for advice if it was about Lelouch?"

"You have a point…"

"Let's see… When I'm around Syaoran, I want his attention all the time. If he were in trouble, I'd do anything to help him, not only because I know he'd do the same for me but because I love him. Everything about him…his smile, his voice but most of all his caring nature is what draws me to him. He's so kind that you'd never guess he was troubled. But I know all too well, and I'm always here for him."

"So if I loved someone, I'd always want to be around them; to care for them and watch over them?"

"Well if that's how you want to put it, yeah."

"I see…"

Chii stayed quiet for a moment, thoughts running through her head. Sakura finished her tea and placed her cup down on the table.

"So, what are your thoughts on arranged marriage?" Sakura asked curiously.

"Well I believe that people should be given the chance to fall in love with anyone." The blonde replied.

"Then why did you enter into an engagement with that guy?" Sakura asked.

"I thought it would make my mother happy." Chii replied.

"Uhuh. Doubt Syaoran would even go ahead with an arranged marriage." Sakura snorted.

"No kidding." Chii muttered, making Sakura burst out laughing.

"If you don't mind me asking, how is Syaoran doing?" Chii asked quietly.

"With his parents-not so good. He doesn't go home; every day someone from the castle comes to persuade him to return, but he refuses and just slams the door in their face." Sakura answered.

"Wow, he's really pissed off, no wonder I can never visit him anymore." Chii murmured.

"I wish…I could do something more for him…" Sakura whispered sadly.

Chii was surprised by the look of sadness on her face. "Is there something more that's bugging you?" Chii asked softly-it almost seemed as if she was worried about Sakura.

"I'm just worried about him; I don't want him to do anything stupid." Sakura answered.

Chii knew that that wasn't really the case, but she didn't want to pry any further. "I would like you to do me a small favour?" Chii asked.

"What is it?" Sakura raised an eyebrow. Why was the princess asking for favours?

"Watch over Syaoran-he really cares for you, but sometimes he forgets about himself. And I cannot because he's never home. It sucks." Chii said, standing up.

"I really should be going now, I'm sorry for dropping in like this. Please forgive me." The princess spoke, her mind wondering.

"No, it's fine. I wasn't really doing anything anyway." Sakura replied.

"The tea was lovely, thank you."

"I hope I was of help with your little love problem."

"I'm truly grateful; your words helped a lot despite who you are." Chii smiled as Sakura opened the door for her.

"You're welcome." Sakura returned the smile.

"I guess we'll see each other again soon." Chii bid farewell and left.

"Catch you later…" Sakura muttered once the blonde was gone.

Syaoran was just returning to Sakura's when he saw Chii walking away from the residence. "Hey -Chii!" he called out. The blonde looked up and smiled, walking over to talk to him. "What were you doing at Sakura's?" He asked curiously.

"I had something to ask about…but I learnt more about her than I probably should have…" she replied sadly.

"Like what?" Syaoran asked with a raised eyebrow.

"She doesn't have any pictures of family around the house, the walls are bare. When I was talking to her, she had a lonely look in her eyes. I'm sure that she feels alone without you…doesn't she have any friends our age?" Chii asked softly.

"Apart from Fai and me, no." Syaoran answered, leaning against the brick wall. "You see, the girls at school see her the same way you do-no good. They hardly know her and they judge her. You should hear some of the rumours that circulate around the school about her. She doesn't see any point to stick around at school because she already has a job, yet she continues on with her education with the belief that it would make her parents happy. She's a straight A student, you know." Syaoran murmured.

"She didn't have the luxury of growing up with parents she could laugh with, cry with, mourn with…it doesn't seem fair for her to be treated that way." Chii replied.

"You care for her, don't you?" Syaoran smiled.

"She's a commoner, Syaoran. I have to go now; mother will be waiting for me." Chii said flatly.

"Ok, see you later." Syaoran said as he walked around the corner onto Sakura's property.

"Maybe I do..." The princess muttered.

Hmmm…
