Saturday morning Hinata woke up early to go for a run around the park closest to her house, she grabbed her keys and her iPod and went to her Range Rover sport and drove off towards the park. Running was a form of therapy for Hinata since this week was hard on her and because she didn't have practice this morning she decided to run it out. When she was finally parked she found a spot in the grass where she could stretch before her run. She was stretching her left quad when she was knocked over by a Doberman she knew all too well she gave him his name after all.

"Casspi, if you're here where's…" she got interrupted by a male's voice.

"Casspi! Come here boy sorry…"Sasuke's sentence died on his lips when he noticed that it was Hinata being licked by his dog.

"Sorry Hinata I can see why he just took off now he must have missed you, Casspi sit," said Sasuke to get his dog off of Hinata.

"I missed him too," said Hinata petting behind his ears.

"Here let me help you up," he said as he extended a hand to her.

"Thanks," she said brushing away some grass. "So, how are you doing? I heard about Itachi how are you holding up?" she asked once she was done.

"How did you find out Kiba?" he said looking away from Hinata.

"Yeah Hana told him I'm sorry I haven't reached out I just wasn't sure if I should, we might not have ended on good terms but I know how much you love your brother,"

"It's been hard, I still can't believe that Itachi has leukemia, it doesn't seem real, but when I see him in his bed after the hospital visits or the fact that he doesn't have his hair anymore, it's just hard to see him when you know how he use to be," he said with a shaky breath before he spoke.

"He's really strong I'm not sure how'd I be in his position and Hana is always going to his chemo-therapy treatments with him, my brother is a very lucky guy to have her," he said wistfully.

"I always thought Itachi and Hana we're a good fit even though they were off and on in high school," said Hinata with a smile.

"Yeah Itachi knows when he has something good, unlike me," he said with a small smile.

"Come on Sasuke you have Sakura, and from what I've seen she's a perfect fit for you,"

"Yeah that's what Itachi thought, it's just that we're taking a break she wants to focus on her school work she's very driven, and she says I'm a distraction, so it's just me and Casspi right now," he said petting his dogs head affectingly.

"I'm sorry to hear that, but Sakura most be smart as well as determined,"

"Yeah she is, so how are you holding up I heard what happened between you and Naruto,"

"How'd you hear about it?" she asked surprised.

"Well it's all Kiba and Shino could talk about at practice, they're worried about you plus I think they were releasing some of their aggression on the field," chuckled Sasuke.

"Oh, that sounds like them especially Kiba,"

"Believe it or not I'm sorry about your situation I could tell you miss him, I asked him to take care of you when I apologized, so I was surprised to hear that he broke up with you," he said searching her eyes that were solemnly focused on Casspi.

"I was surprised too," she said feeling an uncomfortable lump rise in the back of her throat so she swallowed it down and decided to take the focus off of her.

"So you're taking pictures again?" she said pointing to the camera hanging around Sasuke's neck.

"Yeah after Itachi I've been making some changes I haven't been living up to who I envisioned myself to being," he said grabbing onto the camera.

"Would you like to walk Casspi for me so that I could take pictures? I understand if you don't want to though," he asked nervously.

"Yeah, sure I'm not in any hurry besides I've missed him." she said taking the leash from Sasuke.

the two walked for the most part in silence with Hinata and Casspi walking in front with Sasuke trailing with his camera on taking pictures of whatever caught his eye which was for the most part happened to be Hinata with her hair picking up with a morning breeze or the way she would smile down at his dog, or what he saw more often that glazed over haunted look in her eyes of longing for what wasn't hers any more Sasuke knew that look perfectly for he was watching her with the same look. He found himself thinking back to when she first convinced him to get Casspi.

He'd just had the movers leave once all his stuff was all set into place in his new house that his parents bought him for his sixteenth birthday, it was the only thing he asked for, was on the love seat with Hinata next to him, his arm wrapped around her waist. She was trying to convince him to get a dog to keep him company.

"Please babe, I know you get lonely and it will be worse now that you live on your own," Hinata pleaded with him giving him a view of those lavender orbs or hers.

"Come on Angel It's not that lonely here besides I'm a have some of the guys sleeping here on most weekends, and you could always stay the night too," he said snuggling into her neck feeling her blushes heat against his check, avoiding her eyes or else he'd give into her.

"I don't get why you'd want to live on your own already you just turned sixteen, why your parents would give you this as your gift I'm not sure," she said stroking his hair he hated when she'd ruin what took him a good while to accomplish in the morning.

"You know why, it's easier to be myself here I don't have to fit into the mold my father has for me, I'm not constantly reminded that Itachi has excelled at everything I'm good at. The only thing I have that's worth anything to them that Itachi doesn't have is you," he said seriously.

"Not this again Sasuke," she said looking at him now that he wasn't nuzzled into her neck.

"You know it's true they love that I'm dating a Hyuuga your part of the elite another reason why they absolutely adore you, they even wanted you for Itachi before we started dating,"

"Well I'm not Itachi's now am I?" she said giving him a peck on the lips.

"No you're not," he said hugging her molding her body into his.

"So about the puppy," she said into his shirt.

"You don't know when to give up do you," he said chuckling which vibrated through Hinata.

"I'm dating you I'm bond to pick up some traits from you," she said giggling.

He let her go and helped her up from the love seat left her to fetch his keys from the kitchen counter.

"Okay so what kind of dog did you have in mind angel?" he said reaching for her hand again.

"Really?" she asked getting a nod from Sasuke.

"Well I was thinking of a Doberman," she said giving her that smile that was contagious.

"Sasuke?" Hinata said for the third time, snapping Sasuke out of his reminiscing.

"I'm sorry Hinata I was remembering when we first got Casspi,"

"Oh it's oaky, I was just going to tell you I should get going Ino's been texting me to go over get some last minute things done before the wedding,"

"Oh right your aunt Kureni is getting married in seven days,"

"Yeah she's very excited for the big day," she said leading them to the parking lot.

"I bet I hear the wedding is going to be the event of the year everybody's whose anybody is going to be there at least that's what my mom keeps telling me," he said with a chuck taking back Casspi's leash once they were by Hinata's Range Rover.

"I guess this is where we go our separate ways," she said petting Casspi scratching behind his ear one last time.

"It looks that way thanks for walking him I appreciate it,"

"It was no problem, and I meant what I said if you ever need to talk about Itachi or anything I'm here," she said.

"Thanks that means a lot to me, would it be okay to give you a hug?" he asked with a small smile.

"I umm okay that would be fine," she said as Sasuke closed his arms around her.

"Well I'll see you Saturday at the wedding, come on Casspi lets go boy," he said releasing Hinata and the two walked towards where Sasuke parked, Sasuke looking back to see Hinata climb into her SUV. Little did they know that there was a guy watching the whole exchanges taking pictures of the two, who drove off once both cars were out of sight.

Shion was tired of not getting back text messages that she was sending her boyfriend this morning but wasn't getting anything in return; she knew he had practice this morning but that he was home for three hours now. Once she got the pictures of Hinata with some hot guy she might add she decided to just swing by Naruto's house to see what kind of reaction she would get from him. She got to the front door and rang the doorbell and waited for someone to answer it.

"Oh hello Shion I didn't know you were coming," said Kushina as she opened the front door.

"Hey mom, I decided to surprise Naruto," she said stepping in the house when Kushina opened the door.

"He's resting upstairs so just go ahead," Kushina said while closing the door and heading towards the living room where Minato was waiting for her.

Naruto was lying in bed with his headphones in listening to his music with his eyes closed, his mind on the only girl he loves, when he felt the weight of someone sitting on the end of his bed.

"Hey love bug," Shion said once Naruto took off his headphones.

"Hey Shion why are you here?" he said sitting up resting his back on his headboard.

"Can't I come by to see my boyfriend? Besides you weren't texting me back, and don't just call me Shion give me a pet name," she said with her lips pressed together.

"I never asked you to give me a pet name actually I'd prefer you just call me Naruto," he said letting out an exasperated sigh.

"You're not even trying how are you supposed to know I'm the one for you if you don't give me a chance to show you how perfect we are for each other," she said crossing her arms in front of her.

"I already had my one, so I know there isn't anyone else for me," he said rolling his eyes this was a recurring topic Shion would mention at least three times a day.

"Maybe for you, but Hinata can move on just fine it seems," said Shion with an enigmatic smile.

"What are you talking about?" Naruto's full attention on Shion, as she pulled out an envelope opened it and handed him the pictures that were inside.

"What's this I thought I told you to stop having her followed," his knuckles turning white from how hard he was holding the pictures the first one being her walking a black Doberman with none other than Sasuke behind her.

"Well if I wasn't having her followed we wouldn't know that she's spending her time walking the dog with Sasuke Uchiha her ex-boyfriend,"

"How do you know that?" he asked not wanting to see what other pictures were behind the first one.

"I get my research done the plus about my family is that they're good at fishing out everybody's past," she said sitting next to Naruto taking the pictures from his hands.

"Look these ones are my favorite when they're hugging, and when they stop walking the dog to share a kiss they actually make a cute couple," she said showing Naruto the pictures of Hinata and Sasuke.

Naruto wasn't sure what to think in his hands he had pictures of his princess hugging and even kissing Sasuke.

"Why did you show me these" he asked through clenched teeth.

"To show you she doesn't value you like I do," she said leaning into him.

"Hopefully now you can start moving on too," she said tilting her head up to capture his lips in a kiss.

"Kiss me like you mean it just like how you use to kiss her," she demanded against his lips.

"I can't." he said holding her at an arms distance

"Even after I bring you these pictures of her kissing someone else spending time with someone else. Tell me why you can't?" said Shion angrily her voice increasing in volume.

"Because you're not her," he whispered, before Shion could say anything there was a knock on Naruto's bedroom door.

"Everything okay in here?" asked Kushina whose attention was on her son who tried to hide the painful expression on his face.

"Of course I just got excited talking to Naruto asking him which movie he's going to take me too," said Shion cheerfully as if she wasn't arguing with Naruto.

"Mmm okay, Naruto don't come home too late we're having dinner with your grandparents and aunt and uncle," Kushina said still focusing on her son.

"Okay mom," he said giving her a weak smile as his mother walked away from his door and headed towards the stairs.

"Let's go now, so I can be back sooner," he said gathering up and getting his keys from his desk and leading Shion to the door.

"What do you mean you walked Sasuke's dog?" asked Ino as they walked out of the shoe store where they bought their high heels for the wedding.

"Just that I walked Casspi for him so he could take pictures," said Hinata nonchalantly.

"He didn't try anything?" Ino asked with her right eyebrow raised.

"No, we just talked and hugged good-bye and that's it," she said as the girls made their way towards Hinata's Range Rover.

"Good I don't want him to take advantage of your situation, he and Sakura aren't together right now," said Ino putting her bag in the back seat of the SUV.

"Yeah, he mentioned that I just told him if he ever needed to talk I'm willing to listen, and you know there's only one guy for me even if he's with someone else," Hinata said not able to hide the hurt look on her face before Ino looked at her.

"I hate seeing you like this Hina, you know what I was thinking you can't go to the wedding without a date Naruto's going to be there with Shion and I don't want you there just watching them have fun,"

"Ino I don't want a date,"

"Please just let me do this for you I know the perfect guy he's a friend of Shikamaru he's some sort of genius too but he's really good looking I promise,"

"I don't know I'm not going to be any fun I feel bad for the guy already,"

"Psh Hinata please any guy would love having you on their arm at the wedding your perfect eye candy," said Ino making Hinata blush.

"Fine, but make sure he knows it's just for the wedding I don't want him thinking I want anything serious,"

"Of course I'll handle all that okay," said Ino smiling.

"Okay," said Hinata as she started her SUV and drove over to Kiba's for a Barbecue his mom was having.

Naruto was filled of relived when he finally got home he somehow convinced Shion that dinner with his relatives was going to bore her. So he opened the front door hung his keys on a hook and walked into the living room where he could hear all the talking.

"There's my only grandson," said Tsunade as she hugged Naruto.

"Not by lack of trying mom," countered Kakashi who was jabbed by Yuago who was blushing.

"We actually have some news about that," smiled Yuago.

"We're pregnant," said Kakashi wrapping his arm around Yuago's waist resting his palm on her belly. Everyone gathered around the couple and hugged them and said their congratulations. When everyone settled down from the excitement Jiraiya noticed that Naruto was alone.

"Where's that girlfriend of yours my boy?" asked Jiraiya.

"Oh I dropped her off after the movie,"

"That's okay well see Hinata sometime this week well be here till the weddings over, since Kakashi is the best man," said Yuago who was sitting next to Kakashi.

"Hinata and I aren't together anymore," he said glumly, knowing his family would notice his mood he decided to change the topic.

"I'm actually pretty hungry, when can we eat mom?" he asked while rubbing the back of his neck.

"I'll start setting out the food then sweetie," said Kushina placing a hand on Naruto's head as she passed him.

"I'll help," said Yuago getting up following Kushina with Naruto right behind her.

"What's wrong with Naruto he doesn't seem too happy about the new girlfriend, did Hinata brake up with him?" asked Tsunade.

"No actually the opposite Naruto broke up with her," responded Minato.

"What? The way he would look at her, I thought he was head over heels for her," added Kakashi.

"Yeah Kushina and I are worried he's been withdrawn which is strange for him he's always been so outgoing,"

"I'll have a talk with my grandson see what I can find out?" said Jiraiya getting up from his set.

"Thanks dad that would mean a lot to Kushina and I we've been trying to get him to confide in us, but he's holding back like he's keeping something from us which we've never experienced with Naruto before he's always been open with us about everything," finished Minato getting up from his set as all four of them made their way to the dining room.

Naruto sat at the table hearing his family members talk but not paying much attention all he could think of was Hinata and how much it hurt seeing her back with Sasuke, he never thought about that as a possibility. Should I talk to her see if she really is back with him or should I ask Gaara or even Shikamaru and see if they'd tell me? Naruto thought.

"Naruto when will we be meeting your girlfriend Shion?" asked Kakashi.

"Most likely at the wedding, I'm actually done so I'm going to let you guys have your fun now," he said getting up and going around the table kissing his grandma's cheek and hugging his grandpa, then hugging his aunt and uncle telling them he's looking forward to his little cousin and lastly kissed his mom's cheek and hugged his dad, grabbed his plate and went to the kitchen to wash his plate.

When he got to his room he collapsed face first, then rolled over grabbed his phone from his night stand and texted Shikamaru asking him about Hinata he was sure Ino would have told him something. He was relieved when Shikamaru texted him back saying Ino hasn't said anything so he didn't think Hinata and Sasuke were back together because Ino would have told him. He wasn't sure how much longer he could go on not being with his princess but he has to for her and her father's sake.

"Hinata!" Why are we just hearing about this now?" asked Tenten on the phone

"Yeah Hinata, this kind of news you're supposed to share right away," added Temari.

"I know, I'm sorry I just didn't want Neji to know yet you guys know how he is," said Hinata.

It was Wednesday two days till her friends would be flying in for the wedding and three days left till said wedding took place.

"We could have kept it a secret from him though," replied Tenten.

"It was just that I thought we'd be back together by now,"

"Did you say he has a girlfriend though," added Temari.

"Yeah, Shion," sighed Hinata.

"I don't know if I'm more upset that you didn't tell us anything or that Shikamaru knew and didn't tell me," said Temari angrily.

"Temari don't get upset with Shikamaru Ino and I made him promise not to tell he wanted to tell you right when he found out." reasoned Hinata.

"Fine," said Temari the pout evident in her response.

"That's another thing I can't believe Ino didn't tell us either," said Tenten, which made the three girls laugh.

"How are you holding up Hina?" asked Temari once the laughing faded.

"Honestly it's been hard seeing him with her; she's always hanging around him always kissing him if I see them in the halls,"

"Well we're here for you," added Tenten.

"Thanks, sorry for not telling you guys right away, I'm just tired of my love life I mean first I have Sasuke who cheats on me then Naruto leaves me for another girl. When is it going to work out for me, how many more times is my heart going to be broken?" Hinata's voice broke in the end.

"Hinata please don't cry we hate hearing you cry sweetie," said Temari softly.

"Yeah, I kind of tired of doing it myself," she said with a small smile.

"You know I have to tell Neji so it doesn't catch him by surprise which would be worse," said Tenten.

"Yeah I figured that's why I was hoping you would say you'd tell him,"

"Hinata do you want me to get you a date for the wedding?" asked Temari.

"Actually Ino already got me one," she said not really wanting the questions she knew would follow.

"Really?" asked Tenten

"Who is it?" asked Temari.

"It's a guy Shikamaru knows I guess he's some sort of genius, I'm supposed meet him tomorrow with Ino and the guys I guess we're going bowling,"

"I'm a asked Shikamaru who it is then he's picking me and Kankuro up with Gaara Friday after school then maybe we can hang out?" asked Temari.

"Of course I'm picking up Tenten, Neji, and Lee Friday when you guys get pick up," answered Hinata.

"It's settle girl night Friday okay," the girls all agreed and talked about how excited they were for the wedding and to see each other again.

Hinata felt relieved when she hung up the phone to finally have Temari and Tenten know what's been going on with her and Naruto and the fact that she didn't have to tell Neji. She was glad how much support she would have at the wedding.

"Come on Hinata your moving so slow it's a school night we have to be home early so hurry it up," said Ino out of her window in her car.

"I know I came home as soon as practice was over Ino," whined Hinata not in the mood to go out.

"I thought it would be a good idea to meet with your date before the wedding to get to know him a bit before the wedding so it's not awkward," said Ino putting on her sunglasses once Hinata's seat belt was on.

"I know this just feels too much like a date," complained Hinata looking out the window.

"It's more of a group thing Hinata with all guys plus even Hanabi and Konohamaru will be there so they might actually be on a date but not the rest of us,"

"That sounds like a group date Ino,"

"It'll be fine besides I told him you just got out of a relationship he understands that this isn't leading into anything,"

"Okay," said Hinata unenthusiastically.

"Listen sweetie I know you're waiting for Naruto, I hate to say this but he's having his own fun without you so why can't you,"

"Okay I'll try," smiled Hinata which in exchange made Ino smile.

"That's all I can ask for,"

When the two girls arrived at the bowling alley they parked in the same area their friends parked. They made their way inside and found their group sitting at a table big enough to sit them all.

"Hey Babe," smiled Kiba as he made his way towards Ino giving her a kiss and wrapping an arm around her.

"Hey gumdrop, what did we miss?"

"Nothing much just busting Shikamaru's balls about Temari coming back tomorrow," laughed Kiba

"Be nice Kiba," said Ino then she leaned into him whispering something that made Kiba's stop his laughing immediately and stand rigid.

When Hinata looked away from the scene a boy with shoulder length black was in front of her, she couldn't help but notice how beautiful he was, yes she knows that when noticing how attractive a boy is one would say handsome, but when she was absorbed by his eyes, eyes a deep brown mahogany with umber flecks, that was the only word that came to mind beautiful.

"Hello you must be Hinata, I'm Haku it's a pleasure to meet you," he said taking her hand and lightly pressing his lips upon her soft hand.

"It's a pleasure as well." said Hinata her hand still in his.

"Now that the introductions are over let's bowl!" Kiba busted out energetically.

The group got their shoes and went to their lanes; there they split up into two teams because it was out numbered it would be five on four. Team one team kick your ass courtesy of Kiba was made up of him of course with Ino, Shikamaru, and Choji. Team two was peep mafia was Shino, Konohamaru, Hanabi, Hinata, and Haku. So far Hinata had to admit she was having a fun time she hasn't been out much since the break up and she did love spending time with her friends how they all joked around with each other.

"So how did you and Shikamaru meet?" asked Hinata once they both had their first turn.

"Let's see I meet him at one of the many math splash science camps my dad registrants me for, I beat him in chess and the rest is as they say history we've keep in contact since then, how about?"

"I've known him since I entered Kindergarten we all basically grew up together," she said smile as she took in her friends the guys teasing each other.

"Is it just you two or are their other cute Hyuugas sister around?" he said turning towards Hanabi who was laughing with Konohamaru who had said something to get her to laugh.

"Yeah it's just me and her unless you want to count my cousin Neji, I have heard he's quit pretty," giggled Hinata getting another chuckle out of Haku.

"Do you have any siblings?" she asked curiously.

"Nope it's just me, I was actually adopted by my father, and it's just us two. There's a lot expected from me as an only child but I'm happy to be a source of pride for my father," he said with that warm smile of his.

"Do you ever get lonely? I'm not sure what I'd do without Hanabi we're always there for each other,"

"Well my dad was in a band the seven ninja swordsmen of the mist, so they were always around so I grew up with their families so I always had someone around to play with, because of the band having charity event for the orphanage I belonged to my father saw me and the rest is history he adopted me when I was five." he said so happily it made my heart ache because it reminded me so much like Naruto.

"Hey are you okay?" he said noticing her sudden change in mood.

"Umm yeah sorry about that,"

"No need to apologize, I'm tired of talking about myself I hear you're the star of the soccer and basketball team," he asked hoping that would bring her mood up.

"Well I'm not the star I'm surrounded by really good team-mates, but we did win state last year in soccer and hoping to win it again this year and also becoming basketball state champions." she said with such animation in her face Haku just wanted to keep like this if possible the entire time.

"You did track too right?" he asked thinking back to one of his track meets.

"Yeah last year was my first time; I mainly competed in the long distance runs. Did you know humans have better endurance than most animals on the planet in speed we don't compare but our endurance is better we're second to horses,"

"I thought I saw you run last year at state,"

"Yeah I came in second at both my events, you were on the track and field team?"

"Yeah I'm the fastest runner in the state I broke the state record last year, I use to play soccer as a kid but I started to run cross country,"

"Is there anything you can't do?" said Hinata teasingly.

"Yeah I just excel at most things," he said jokingly which made Hinata giggle.

"Hinata it's your turn," said Hanabi as Konohamaru's phone started to vibrate from a call.

"Hey boss," greeted Konohamaru.

"Hey Konohamaru, are you busy?" asked Naruto.

"Well I'm out bowling with Hanabi right now, why?"

"Sai, Gaara, and I wanted to go race go-carts wanted to see if…" Naruto didn't get to finish

"Hey Konohamaru it's your turn again," said Hanabi.

"Okay, could you hold for a bit?"

"Yeah no problem," Konohamaru left his phone by his seat to take his turn, there Naruto heard someone giggle, a giggle he loved hearing.

"I'm serious it happens all the time," chuckled a guy that Naruto didn't recognize.

"Well maybe it's because you're very good looking," said Hinata with a blush.

"Oh, you think I'm good looking?" asked Haku with a grin that made Hinata's blush deepen.

"Well…"

"Sorry Naruto what was it you needed?" asked Konohamaru taking his phone back not allowing Naruto to hear Hinata's answer.

"Wanted to ask if you want to come with the guys and I?" he said a bit irritated that he didn't hear Hinata finish her sentence.

"I don't think I'll be able to make it,"

"Is it just you two bowling?" asked Naruto seeing if he could get any answers.

"No, we came with a group to umm meet one of Shikamaru's friends,"

"I see well I'll let you get back to your bowling I'll talk to you at school,"

"Yeah, okay see you tomorrow," said Konohamaru hanging up his phone.

Once Naruto finished his phone call he started to think of ways to find out who Hinata was flirting with, he can't just ask Konohamaru about it Hanabi and him decided to not get involved with Hinata and himself. He wasn't sure if Shikamaru would tell him either, he's hasn't been on his best side lately with Shion saying something about Shikamaru being naive to think Temari isn't messing around with college guys instead of waiting for her High school boyfriend.
