Austin's Pov:

I was on my way to the bathroom, when I heard someone yell my name. I turned around to see Becca running towards me. I roll my eyes but decided to be nice. Brooke has had a crush on me since elementary school. I turn to her and smile.

"Hey Becca"

"Austin what are you doing here at the beach….alone?"

"I'm actually not alone I wtih my girlfriend and some friends."

"girlfriend?"

"Yea"

I said pointing to Ally who is sitting on the towel looking at the people.

"Oh her...shes cute! "

"Thanks!"

"Well I have to go hanging out with my cousin! You would like him you both are exactly a like he is just a brunette!"

"Well bring him over we can all hang out!"

"Really! OMG YES! Be right back!"

Oh no what did I do. I pray she forgets and go use the restroom when I get out I see Ally is not at the blanket. I look over to see her standing at the water. I start to make my way over but I see a little kid crying. Instantly I walk towards the little kid. She looks about 6 and lost.

"Hey there what's wrong?"

"I...I…...I can't find my shovel"

"Oh really where did you leave it last?"

"At….my….blanket but I had to use the bathroom and now I can't find it!"

"Hmmmm maybe the wind blew it under the blanket?"

She looks at me and then smiles running towards the blanket. I smile kids are just to cute. While standing I hear Ally's voice.

"Austin put me down"

what is she talking about? I turn around and see another guys arms around my Ally! I love how my mood just went from happy to pissed off in less than a second. I start making my way over to them when he puts her down. I get closer and see Ally looked shocked and let out a small scream. I then start running and end up tackling the guy to the ground. Which earns another scream from Ally. Right at the moment I don't care because all I can think about is kicking this guys ass! Nobody puts their hands on my Ally and gets away without any marks. I start hitting the guy, hearing Ally yell for me to get off of him but I don't listen. I'm too angry too. The guy is trying to fight back but it's obvious I'm stronger. I'm about to hit him again when not just Ally yells my name but someone else. I look over to see Becca? What is she doing here...oh yeah I invited her to hang out. I look at her then Ally distracted for one quick second but enough time for the guy to take a swing and hit me in the nose which I know is bleeding now. I hear both girls gasp and I get up.

"Austin!"

Ally yells and comes to inspect me. She puts both her hands on my cheeks and is moving my head side to side to see if I'm okay.

"your nose is bleeding! Are you okay?"

"Yea I'm fine it just stings a little nothing big"

"good!"

She says while smiling and then hits me. I look at her shocked.

"What was that for?"

"For beating him up! What did I tell you about fighting"

"That I would get my ass kicked?"

"Besides that!"

"Thats all you said I told you i would make no promises"

"You are such an Austin!"

"Thanks? anyway who is that guy?"

"My-"

Ally was about to say something before she could Becca yelled.

"That was my cousin! Austin what the hell! I thought you two would get along!"

"I didn't know! He was all over my girlfriend and I wasn't going to have that!"

"Becca?"

"Ally?! No way I haven't seen you since that winter break in 7th grade when I went to New York to visit Ethan!"

"I know it's been a while!"

"Wait you two know each other?"

"Yea I met Becca over in New York!"

I looked at them confused. I felt like there was something they weren't telling me.

"Yea we all went Ice Skating!"

"How?"

"How what Austin?"

"Do you know her if she went to visit Ethan?"

"Because Ethan...Ethan is my ex boyfriend"

Her ex boyfriend? How come she didn't tell me about him. I mean I know we weren't that close in the beginning but really she could have told me. I wonder why she didn't.

"Yea and I came to get her back"

The guy now know as Ethan said after him being silenced for a while. I look at him and scoffed.

"To hell you are! You aren't going to touch Ally!"

"Says who?"

"Says me her boyfriend!"

"Wait your girlfriend is Ally….og thats why you attacked him! You were jealous!"

"I don't get jealous Becca!"

"Sure you don't Austin…."

Ally says while laughing and I try and glare at her but failed. I get up and Ethan follows right behind. I look at Ally who mouths apologize. I shake my head and she gives me her 'I'm not kidding look' and I sigh.

"I'm sorry Ethan for getting jealous and beating the crap out of you."

"It's okay I would have done the same if it was my girlfriend, but why didn't you tell me Ally?"

"I don't have to tell you….and besides you just texted me not to long ago and to be honest I never thought I would run into you."

"Oh"

"Besides even if I wasn't dating Austin I still wouldn't get back with you. What we had was nice but thats in the past and I moved on sorry."

"No it's okay...I hope we can still be friends"

"Yea of course we all can"

Ally says and looks at me and Becca. I smile and stick my hand out.

"Friends?"

He looks at it then me and nods. He then shakes my hand and repeats friends. They say their goodbyes and we promise to hang out soon. Just then the rest of the gang come back with a whole bunch of food and I mean a whole bunch.

"Hey you guys we are back….woah what happened to your face Austin?"

"Got into a fight nothing big just want to go home after we eat."

"Sounds good to me!"

They all say and we sit down and eat in anything but silence. Once we were finished we all got up and went to the car. I Dropped off everybody one by one until we get to Ally's. I turn to her and see she is smiling. She leans over and kisses my nose which makes me wince and her eyes go wide.

"Sorry I forgot! I'll make it better!"

She says and leans in to give me a kiss on the lips this time. I gladly kiss back ignoring the pain when our noses brush against each other. We pull back and I decided now to ask her what's been on my mind.

"Hey Als?"

"Yea?"

"How come you didn't tell me about Ethan?"

"Because he was my past I never thought he would be in my future you are the only thing I see when I think of anybody in my future with me. Even when I was with him. To be honest I was only dating him to get over you but obviously that didn't work and when I found out we were moving I was so happy and told him right away unlike what happened between us."

She says and I look down. It's still a sore subject but I'm glad I have her back. I feel her lift my head up. She looks in my eyes.

"Hey you don't have to be sad anymore I'm here and I'm not going anywhere."

"good because I'm not going to let you go"

"Good I wouldn't want you too!"

We kiss again and pull away. She gets out and shuts the door and starts to walk away but then suddenly turns back around and comes to my window. I roll down the window.

"Forget something?"

"Oh no I was just wondering if you wanted to come in since you know I'm all alone"

"As much as I would love to I can't my parents are leaving early tomorrow morning and I promised I would drive them to the airport but tomorrow I can."

"Great! I can't wait!"

"Me either! I'll pick you up tomorrow after I drop them off and we can hang out okay?"

"Okay see you tomorrow"

"See you tomorrow"

"Bye"

"Bye I love you"

"I love you too!"

She says and walks into her house. I slowly drive away and make my way home. When I get home I see the downstairs light is still on. I walk into my house and see the tv on playing The Notebook. I slightly bring my eyes down to see my parents snuggled on the couch watching the movie. I inwardly aww. Hey I may be a man but sights like this still are sweet. I walk over to them and see that they are actually asleep. I laugh quietly while turning off the tv. I make my way over to the closet and grab a blanket and put it over them. I kissed my mom on the forehead.

"I love you guys"

"Mmmmm love you too sweetie"

My mom mumbles and I smile and walk upstairs. I slip into my gray sweats and a white tank top and lay on my bed. Slowly starting to fall asleep I hear my phone beep. I look at it and see there is a text message from Ally. I smile and open the text. My smile falls instantly when I read the message. I get out of bed throw on a jacket and some shoes all while my mind is everywhere of what could be going on. I look at the message one more time while starting my car.

Ally's POV:

After going into my house and getting out of my clothes I hop into the shower to wash all the ocean water out of my hair. When I get out I wrap a towel around my body and put my hair into a clip while going over to my closet to find some pjs. Right when I reach my closet I hear something fall downstairs. Instantly I freeze up something is downstairs and I don't know what. On instinct I run to my phone and text Austin to come over now. He responds a couple minutes later saying he is already on the way. I text him back telling him to climb to my window because someone is in the house. I never got a reply back which is scaring me until I hear a knock at my window. I let out a small quiet scream and see Austin outside the window. I go over and open the window and hit his arm.

"What was that for?"

"for scaring me you idiot!"

"Um Ally?"

"Yes?"

"Love the outfit!"

He says with a wink and I look down at myself just in a towel and start blushing.

"Sorry when I heard someone in the house I got scared I forgot to get dressed. I'll go put on some clothes and we will go downstairs and check it out okay?"

He nod and sits on my bed. I go and grab a tank top and some pants and throw my hair into a lazy bun and walk out. I nod to the door and Austin gets up. We slowly make our way downstairs and see the shadow of the guy and he looks big so instantly Austin pushes me behind him and we continue downstairs. I just realized we have no weapons with us so I grab the nearest item within us and hand it to Austin. He stops and looks at me.

"Really? An umbrella?"

"Hey it's better than nothing!"

I say and he nods and we continue walking. We then see the guy he is in a blue hoodie and some jeans. We turn on the lights and he turns around. Austin is about to hit him when he speaks.

"No no no no no wait! Don't hurt me!"

"Why shouldn't we?"

I ask and he walks closer. We catch his face and I inspect him. He is actually quite handsome not that I would want to date him but he has brown hair cut that is pointed probably with gel. He has brown eyes and even with the blue sweater you can tell he is pretty built. I look at him and he looks scared.

"I'm looking for someone that lives here. Maybe you know her? Her name is Allyson Dawson?"

"I'm her but I go by Ally why are you looking for me and why are you breaking into my house."

"I'm not breaking in I have a key."

"Okay but why are you looking for Ally?"

"Who are you?"

"Her boyfriend."

"Oh well I'm Jake and I'm your brother."

"My what!"

"Your brother?"

"No no I have no siblings I'm an only child!"

"Thats what I thought but not according to this letter I got from my parents."

"Who are your parents?"

"My adoptive parents are Michael and Lilly Austin but my birth parents are Lester and Penny Dawson."

"How is that possible how old are you?"

"18 since last week"

"Okay then why are you here?"

"Well apparently since I'm 18 I'm considered an adult and since our parents are dead you are technically under my care until you turn 18."

"What!"

Austin and I say at the same time. This is all so new I found out I had a brother I never knew about and he is technically my legal guardian? Why did it take so long for him to come?

"Our parents died years ago how come I'm just now hearing about you?"

"Because I just turned 18. Trust me that was not a fun birthday to get a letter finding out both your parents died and you have a little sister you never knew about and she is supposed to be under your care it was a lot to take in. Once I got everything situated I came looking for you. You are very hard to find since there are no documents about you."

"Well how did you find me?"

"Well this was the address of our parents so I took a guess and got lucky I guess."

"Woah this is a lot to take in."

"I know but is it okay if I stay here tonight I don't have enough money to get a hotel room?"

"Yea technically it's your house anyway, I'm tired and need to think about this we can talk more about this tomorrow over coffee."

"Okay thanks Ally"

"No problem."

"One more question. Is your boyfriend going to stay here? I mean I know we just met and everything but since I found out you are my little sister brotherly instincts are kicking in because if he is he can sleep on the couch."

Jake says looking Austin up and down and I just laugh.

"No Austin isn't staying here tonight anyway. thats cute you are all protective"

"Yea you don't have to worry about me trust me anyway since everything is safe here I'm going to go home have an early flight to catch! Bye Als Love you!"

"Bye love you too!"

I say and give him a quick kiss. He then leaves and I look at Jake who looks weirded out. I laugh.

"don't you have a girlfriend?"

"Uhhh no I don't"

"Oh well awkward anyway you can sleep in the guest room upstairs follow me."

I say and lead him upstairs and show him the room. He smiles and thanks me once again. I smile and tell him goodnight and shut the door. I walk over to my room and get into bed. While laying down I was thinking about everything from finding out Cassidy secret to Ethan to finding out I have a brother. Can this day get any weirder? OH MY GOSH! I thought my brother was hot! Ewwwwwwww!
