"Have you ever considered it?"

Damon frowned at Stefan's question.

"Considered what?"

Stefan stared into the sky "Bringing her back..ya know. Katherine."

Damon gave his baby brother a look "Stefan don't...what happened with Kath-"

"I get it." Stefan reassured "I do but..." Ever since Katherine's dead his brother hadn't been truly happy. Even if he tried to fake it Stefan saw right through it.

"But what?"

Stefan sighed "Nothing."

Stefan awoke with a gasp. That memory...someone had been inside his head. Planted it there. It made him feel violated and icky. Who'd do something like that too him? It couldn't be Damon but then...why?

"So," Jenna said sitting next to Elena at the dining table "You and Damon? Update?"

"He knows how I feel and where I stand and I know where he stands but it doesn't matter." Elena sighed "It's just..."

"Just what?" Jenna asked.

"Just complicated." Quickly making up an excuse, Elena added "I mean with his uncle and Stefan and now there living with us-"

Jenna laughed. "I get it sweaty. The exact opposite thing is happening to me, well yours is keeping distance, mine won't go away."

"Logan?" Elena frowned.

"He's back." Jenna smirked "I didn't let him pass the front door."

"I hope you slammed it in his face."

"Ah, medium slam."

"Three strike rule, Jenna." Elena warned "You're not even aloud to watch the news."

"Exactly." Jenna nodded. "No more Logan "Scum" Fell."

The doorbell rang. Both girls shared glances before Jenna went and opened it. It was Sheriff Forbes.

"I'm here to see Damon."

"Uh, sure. Ok." Jenna said awkwardly.

Damon came to the doorway much to Jenna's surprise.

"Sheriff." He commented "What a surprise."

"Sorry to bother you," Liz said "but we need to talk."

"Come in."

Anna unlocked the door to her motel room and entered. As she shut the door, Stefan appeared behind it. He grabbed Anna by the throat and vamp speed her into a wall. Anna also grabbed a hold of Stefan's throat. Both of them groaning and make choking noises as they tightly hold onto the other's throats.

"OK, Fine! I give in!" Anna said as Stefan released her and she released him.

"I don't know how it works but your strong for a little kid!"

Stefan frowned "And you're strong for a little girl."

Anna flinched at the 'girl' comment and then said "I was wondering how long it would take you to find me."

"Um, I hope you understand the secrecy." Damon said as he walked with Liz in the backyard

"Stefan and the Gilbert's don't know about this yet and I'd like to keep it that way." Damon lied.

"Of course, kids are too young to be brought into this." Liz nodded then narrowed her eyes "Of course theres no accounting for you."

Damon rolled his eyes "So, what do you need?" He paused fearfully "Have you talked to my uncle." If he had told Liz about he and Stefan that meant they were in danger.

"There's been another attack." Liz sighed "It's your...your uncle, his was throat torn out, completely drained of blood." Liz paused "It fits the pattern."

"I'm sorry. I don't understand." Damon said playing along thought we solved that problem when I" he glanced backwards "... staked Vicki."

"I'm thinking she must have turned someone. Or multiple someones. I don't know. The story for the town is another animal attack but I'm not sure how long we can keep lying to them. The council is in an uproar. We thought we were past this."

"So, uh, what do we do?" Damon shrugged.

"You're the only one who's ever taken on a vampire." Liz sighed somewhat defeated "We were hoping you could tell us."

"Damon," Elena demanded "Can I talk to you?"

"Sure." Damon nodded following the angry girl upstairs.

"What is wrong with you?" Elena growled "I heard what you she said! You killed somebody?"

"Get off of me." Damon exclaimed "A-don't touch me. B-if I had, I wouldn't have been so obvious about it." Damon sighed "C- There's another vampire in town."

"That's impossible." Elena stated.

"Obviously not." Damon replied.

Elena frowned "Then, who could it be?

At Damon having no reply Elena became increasingly worried "So, you have no idea who it could be?"

"None. But it must be somebody new because leaving a body like that, they're either sloppy or they're trying to send a message."

"And you're sure it's not..." Stefan.

Damon glowered at her "No, Stefan would never-he only kills because he can't control it. Turning someone is something someone does on purpose."

"So," Elena asked "What are you gonna do?"

"I'm going to track them right now." His gaze softened "Look, I promised you the truth so I wanted to tell you. I want you to be careful."

Elena nodded.

"How long have you been here?" Stefan asked Anna.

"I arrived a little ways back."

"So if you've been here the whole time, then why are we just crossing paths right now?"

Anna smirked "I like to use others to do my dirty work."

Stefan's eye brimmed with realization "You turned Vicki."

"She was bound to die anyway. Too much drugs in her system." Anna turned to Stefan "So now you're going to help me find your father's journal."

"Why would I help you?" Stefan asked "Why would you even want it."

"I did you a favor." Anna said "I killed Zach for you."

Stefan's eyes widened "You what...? That is not a favor!"

Anna rolled her eyes "Fine, let's just say we share a common interest." Stefan raised an eyebrow.

"Which would be?"

"You and I," Anna paused "We both want that tomb open.""

Stefan frowned "I do, do I?"

Anna nodded "You know it'll make your brother happy. It'll reunite him with Katherine."

Stefan's eyes widened. All he's been doing for his brother is creating trouble and problems. This, this would make him happy. It would...it would help him.
