Chapter 10
When they returned back to school. Draco wordlessly grabbed his books from their room and left. Sighing, Ginny changed back into her pajamas and climbed into bed. She wasn't tired or anything. She just didn't want to face anyone. Her mind wandered back to what she last heard Lucius say. She was stuck in a dilemma. She knew she wanted children eventually. The question was, did she want them now? She had a year left of school. But Draco was worried about his parents, and perhaps having a baby would help. Groaning, she rolled over. She wasn't going to tell Draco or Alyza what she knew. They would rush things. The question really was, should she tell Blaise?
At some point in her wondering, she must have fallen asleep, because she was shaken awake by Draco. Smiling slightly, she snuggled closer to her pillow.
"Cute. But get up. I want to talk" he said
"About what?" she asked sitting up
"My mother. I think I know what she wants" he stated
"And that would be what?" she asked already dreading the answer
"She has always talked about wanting to see us get married and be happy" he said "I think we should plan a wedding for this summer" he said getting excited
"Really?" she said with relief
"Yeah! She always wanted to see me get married. Every time I would go see her, we should mention the wedding" he said smiling
"Well… if you think it would work" she said
"You'll get married this summer?" he asked
"Of course" she replied smiling
"Good. I must tell father" he said before running off
Sighing, Ginny cringed and got out of bed. She grabbed her coat and stalked out of their dorm rooms. As she walked through the halls, her mind wandered. She started thinking about carrying a baby around. A baby that had Draco's eyes and her hair color, a little girl that waited impatiently for her daddy to get home. A son who begged Draco to take him flying every second of every day. Smiling slightly, she reached the library. She knew he would be here. When she entered, she looked around and immediately spotted him in the back, with his head in a book.
"You know Blaise, someone might mistake you for a Ravenclaw" she said as she sat down at his table
"Anything is better than a Gryffindor" he responded looking up at her "What's up?"
"I need to tell you something. Something Draco and Alyza should never know" she said
"What's wrong?" he asked marking his page and closing his book
"Yesterday when we were leaving the hospital and I went back to get my sweater, I overheard Lucius whisper to Narcissa. I know what is going to make her wake up." Ginny said biting her lip in nervousness
"What's so bad about it that we can't tell Draco and Alyza?" he asked
"It's grandkids…" Ginny said
Silence fell over their table. Blaise looked shocked and quickly he lost color. Gulping, he opened and closed his mouth numerous times before he shook his head and spoke.
"So in order for Narcissa to wake up… grandkids need to be produced…" Blaise asked
"Yes. Lucius said that was her deepest wish. Problem is, I'm not ready to have a baby" she explained
"Well neither am I!" Blaise exclaimed
"Oi! Would you shut it? I figured you weren't. That is why Draco and Alyza can't know. I don't think they would be reasonable about it. Draco thinks that us having a wedding this summer will wake up his mother. I'm letting him believe that" Ginny said
"You know… if Alyza did become pregnant, I'd stay and do the best I could" Blaise said, ignoring everything Ginny just said
"Blaise don't do it. You aren't finished school yet and she still has one more year." Ginny said trying to reason with him
"Maybe I already did Ginny. You never know." Blaise said with a slight smile "Imagine… me a dad."
"Blaise, do we need to admit you to St. Mungo's?" she asked
"Sorry… just the thought of me holding a tiny baby that I can call mine makes me happy." He replied blushing slightly
"It's okay Blaise. Someday" she said petting his hand and getting up to leave "I'll let you get back to studying then"
After she left the library, Blaise waited a bit and then left in search of Alyza.
