Mini Soldier
MAJOR NOTE READ PLEASE!)
AN: Just to let you guys know in case you didn't, Loki lives with the Avengers. Thor thought it would be cooler if he stayed with the Avengers and had to live there alongside them. So yes Loki WILL show up in this chapter! *hears the fan girls shouting for the chapter* Okay, okay! I'm almost finished! Also, this chapter has some kind of Bruce's point of view in here because who wouldn't love the quiet cute scientist? So um… what else was I gonna say? Oh yes!
PS: Some of you have been reviewing about the pairings. I've changed the pairing group at the top *points* and it should help. There are some Bruce/Steve moments in this and also some Stony (Yay!). However, just to keep this in your mind, this IS a STONY story! But I love Bruce/Steve so here you guys go! :D
PSS: (last one I mean it!) Some people are asking about the whole Bucky coming back, trust me, he won't be going to try and date Steve, and I think the whole Tony/Steve/Bruce is enough. However I do love the whole Bucky/Steve best friends' thing so that is why he is back! Now, ENJOY THIS LONG AWAITED CHAPTER! THOR?!
Thor: Lady Nerd owns nothing! Read on!
-BRUCE-
The tower had become a ticking time bomb when Bucky and Tony were in the same room together. Bucky had been coming over more and more, spending as much time as he could with Steve. Bruce could not help but feel…jealous. He knew that he shouldn't like the super soldier; it just would never work out.
Steve was going to have Tony's kids, and Bruce was something no one could want around children. So as Bruce pulled himself out of bed around 8:30 am hearing a screaming match, he knew he had to get up.
"You're such an idiot!"
"Oh yeah?! Well you're a BIGGER idiot!"
It was Bucky and Tony going at it again.
-STEVE-
30 minutes earlier
Steve was making some yogurt with some nuts for breakfast— or side breakfast he should say. It was a quiet day and he was going to spend time with Bucky again. They were gonna watch some movies together— most likely 'manly ones' as Bucky says. And Bucky was supposed to be there any minute now.
Steve heard someone lazily making their way to the kitchen and as he looked up, he lost his smile. But it came back seconds later. There standing before him was a bare chest Tony Stark with his hair messy from sleep and wore tight sweat pants. "D-do I smell coffee and bacon?" Tony yawned as he stumbled forward and towards the coffee maker.
The blond blushed because he was staring at Tony's chest and how his muscles rippled when Tony moved. Sure, the man wasn't as strong as Steve himself or even Thor, but Tony had his own muscles and it made Steve's mouth water.
"Steve?"
He looked up and found Tony was staring at him with an eyebrow raised. "Yes?" He squeaked.
"Is there something wrong with me? You're staring at me and…and is that drool?" Tony asked, and Steve quickly wiped his mouth just in case. Steve had just added to Tony's ego. "I must be smoking, eh?"
Steve had to look away from that smirk because it was so hot…. And dang these pregnancy hormones!
"Shut up, Stark!" Steve ordered. "Just get your food and leave me alone!"
"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning,"
"Someone also has to deal with two kicking kids at 2 in the morning!"
That shut Tony up. The brunette grabbed some coffee and was about to make a run with the bacon when…
"Yo Steve!" it was Bucky. "How's my best friend and my nieces doing?"
Steve blushed when Tony was confused. "Nieces? How do you know the twins won't be boys?"
Bucky shot Tony a look, "Oh when did Mr-Party-pooper wake up?"
Tony shot Bucky a deadly glare, "I'll have you know I am the LIFE of the party!"
"Sure, sure," Bucky waved his hand towards Tony. "Anyway, how are you Stevie?"
The blond blushed brightly as he shifted on his feet. "I-I'm fine…"
Bucky didn't buy it. "Did Mr-I'm-all-this hurt you again?"
This was really pissing Tony off. And that my friends are how the fight between Tony Stark and James Barnes began.
~ooOoo~
-BRUCE-
14 minutes after Bruce wakes up
Bruce stumbled into the kitchen with everyone in a huge fight. The other Avengers weren't up yet but they would be soon. And when Natasha didn't get her sleep, she was scary. Steve was ready to cry and Bruce could see it too. Not good, not good! Bruce thought. He hurried towards the two main fighters. Bucky and Tony.
"Um guys?" Bruce called awkwardly.
"What?!" both men shouted at him and the poor scientist flinched.
However, Bruce took in a deep breath, "You're scaring Steve!" He shouted to the other two men. They seemed to freeze for a moment and he thought he had them till…
"This is your fault Barnes; you're here all the time when clearly nobody wants you around here!" That was Tony, who had his arms crossed across his chest. "So why don't you get the hell outta my tower?"
Bucky narrowed his eyes at the billionaire, "Haha funny, like who wouldn't want me here? Because I know for a fact that Steve does! And why would it matter to you if I'm here? You barely know Steve!"
The two got into yet another fight on who knew Steve better. Bruce winced before looking over at the pregnant man. He knew Steve wouldn't take this well so he made his way over. "Steve are you okay?"
The blond met his eyes and Bruce felt his heart break a little more. He shook his head. "N-no Bruce, I-I'm not… I-I care about both of them dearly! Bucky because I grew up with him but Tony….."
"You love him." Bruce said quietly.
Steve nodded as he took in a deep breath, "Yes."
Steve loves Tony. Tony loves Steve (in his weird little way). And me? I'm left all alone. Bruce thought sadly. But he stayed strong for Steve, Steve needed him. "Come on, you don't need to see these two fight. Why don't we go watch a movie?"
"Okay…" Steve quietly said with a blush forming on his cheeks. Together, they left Bucky and Tony fighting, and they headed to the mini theater Tony had. "So what do we watch?"
Bruce was about to reply when….
"Thor and I are watching Frozen."
Steve and Bruce found Loki standing there, in his usual sweat pants and tight black shirt. This caused his green eyes to shine against his pale skin. "Loki?" Steve never seen the frost giant out of bed before 12:00 and that was the earliest.
Loki rolled his eyes, "Thor wanted some brother time so I suggested a movie. Frozen seemed like a good choice,"
"Okay…" Steve looked at Bruce who looked at him. "Um, may we join you and watch the movie?"
The God thought about this or at least he looked like it. "I did not care. Natasha is joining us as well with Bird brains." Loki said waving his hand, "So as long as you are quiet, I will not care if you are there."
Once Loki left them standing there, Steve leaned over to Bruce. "He means Clint right?"
Bruce nodded slowly. "I don't see why Loki isn't already friends with Tony…"
Steve blinked. "It's because Loki went into his bedroom when he was sleeping one night and changed his arc reactor from blue to green."
"Oh yes! I remember that! How could I forget?" Bruce laughed and Steve joined in even if for only a moment.
"The moving picture is about to begin, my friends!" They heard Thor shout and quickly Bruce and Steve went inside to find a sit. They seen by the far corner sat Natasha and Clint, and on the other side of the room, Loki and Thor. Steve picked the sits in the middle area and claimed his sit.
"Is this okay?" He whispered to Bruce.
Bruce nodded. "Yeah,"
"Shh! The movie is about to begin!" They heard Loki shush them.
Steve and Bruce fell quiet before looking up at the screen as Frozen began to play out.
~ooOoo~
-STEVE-
Half way through the movie, Steve heard Loki begin to sing along to Let It Go. Steve looked over his shoulder at the Asgardian. Loki seemed off in his own little world till Steve felt Bruce curl up beside him. "Bru—"
"S-sorry…I just— I'm cold…" Bruce explained under his breath.
"Oh," Steve whispered back and then he curled up beside him too. "I-I'm cold too…"
They didn't hear Loki shush them again so they guessed he just thought they were singing along too. Then they heard Thor boom along to it at the ending, "The cold never bothered me anyway!"
"Now quiet you giant oaf!"
Steve heard Loki shush Thor. The blond sunk a little more into his chair and moved closer to Bruce who was really warm. He looked up at the screen and watched the movie. It was…quite nice.
~ooOoo~
By the end of the movie, Steve had to say his favorite character was either Sven or Anna. He was sure Anna would have ended up with powers of her own and proving to Elsa she understood but it never happened. But oh well.
Bruce was by his side and together they walked out of the room. "Wow that was a pretty great movie." Bruce said.
Steve nodded.
"You giant oaf, I am NOT Elsa! And I am not going to run away! Let me go!"
Steve and Bruce looked at the same time to find Loki trying to pull away from Thor who seemed like he was holding back tears. Thor whined into his brother's shoulder which he had buried his face into after he had gotten his death grip on the other God. "But brother, you sang Let it Go—"
"Because it was a good song!" Loki hissed.
Thor pouted some more. "Oh but brother—"
"Thor let me go!" Loki growled but the larger blond shook his head.
"No. I do not wish to lose my brother again!" Thor explained and Loki groaned.
"I sometimes really like having Loki around the tower," Bruce said quietly to Steve who laughed. "What about you?"
They began to turn and walk to the kitchen so Steve could grab a snack and Bruce could grab some coffee. "It's…interesting to say the least. The only hard part for me is the twins."
Bruce nodded, "Yeah but Thor said Loki knows how it feels."
"Huh?"
"Loki had kids. As in he had kids. A horse I believe." Bruce explained.
Steve cursed under his breath. "What? He had a kid?"
"A horse actually," Bruce told him.
The blond shook his head. "That's weird." Bruce just nodded with his answer.
Up Next: Steve's looking over some baby names. But he stumbles upon something Tony might have wanted to keep hidden.
Next chapter will be majorly T rated guys! Review please?!
