Just a question, do you guys think that I need more romantic situations with Inuyasha and Kailanna or not?
Chapter 10
Kailanna slowly opened her eyes early in the morning to her comrades still sleeping; she could hear and decipher everyone's breathing and then focused in on Inuyasha's, he was pretending to be asleep. "Inuyasha." Kailanna whispered. Inuyasha's ears twitched and he opened one eye to look at her in a response. "Let's go outside." She whispered again and slowly stood and walked out, Inuyasha on her heels, walking quietly.
When they got outside she stretched and arched her back, facing the sun and letting the sun's ray's fall on her skin, she sighed happily. Inuyasha watched her quietly and yawned. "So how did you sleep?" Kailanna asked breaking the silence. "I hardly slept." Inuyasha confessed. "What why?" She seemed a little concerned. Inuyasha just shrugged, "I don't like this place, gives me a bad feeling." Kailanna just nodded, "Alright. Well you have to get some sleep sometime, what if we run into a demon?" Inuyasha just scoffed, "I can kill a demon even if I'm asleep." Kailanna laughed a bit, "Sure you can." Kailanna started to walk to some small rocks that were also on the top of the hill about 50 feet from the house, Inuyasha walked beside her, arms crossed. Kailanna sat down on one of the rocks and crossed her legs; Inuyasha did the same and looked at her, "Why were you awake?" Kailanna just shrugged, "I have a hard time sleeping sometimes." Inuyasha looked at her with his hard yellow eyes, the sunlight his her face at a perfect angle and made her red eyes go orange and pink at some angles, not only is she rare but she's beautiful, more beautiful then he would ever imagine.
Kailanna smiled and looked at him, "Hey remember when we were kids and you tripped into the mud and I kept calling you Muddy Puppy?" She laughed a bit. Inuyasha just scoffed and looked away, "Yeah yeah." "And you always got so mad!" Kailanna laughed a bit more. "Alright I get it." Inuyasha retorted. Her laughed died away, "Things were a lot simpler before I was taken eh?" Inuyasha looked at her, "You know I don't like to talk about that." "Why can't we talk about it? It happened to me and I still want to talk about it and I feel like you're the only one I can talk to about it." She explained, "I know you don't like it because you couldn't stop them but it's not your fault, and I'm back now." Inuyasha just kept quiet, looking at her, and finally nodded. "We've both grown up a lot since then too." Kailanna laughed a bit and she got a smirk on Inuyasha's face. Kailanna smiled, "Hey I got him to smile." "You changed more than I did Kailanna." Inuyasha said back. "What? How's that? You used to be so caring when you were little and now you're all tough and manly." Kailanna said in return. Inuyasha just chuckled and shrugged, "You just changed, but it's a good change." "A good change?" Kailanna questioned and Inuyasha nodded. "I guess that's all I'm going to get out of you today isn't it?" Kailanna laughed a bit.
As the sun rose higher Shippo's head poked out of the house and he yelled back inside, "They're out here!" Kailanna laughed a bit, "I guess everyone is awake." She said while standing. Inuyasha nodded and stood, "Finally we have to get going." Kailanna rolled her eyes, "Are you always in a hurry?" "Yeah if we wanna catch Naraku and kill that bastard's ass." Inuyasha said as-matter-of-factly.
Kailanna scoffed and started to walk back to the house, Inuyasha beside her. Kailanna glanced at him, yes he had changed a lot, and he had changed to be extremely attractive in every way possible for her. She let out a long breath and entered the house, Inuyasha just behind her. "Hey guys! We're getting ready to leave hold on." Kagome greeted them. Rerori was standing off to the side, "I hope you guys have fun and stay safe." Kailanna smiled, "Thank you for letting us stay here." Rerori smiled. "Hey where are your parents?" Miroku asked while helping Kagome pack. "They always go to the restaurant early." Rerori assured them, everyone nodded. Sango hung Hiraikotsu on her back while Kagome finished. "Alright all packed!" Kagome smiled. "Finally." Inuyasha rolled his eyes. Kagome shot Inuyasha a glare. "Should we get going then?" Sango suggested and everyone nodded. "Well thanks again Rerori!" Kagome shouted before followed everyone out the door.
As they all waved while walked away they walked down the other side of the hill that lead away from the village everyone was quiet and as usual Sango and Miroku walked alone with Kilala trailing behind them. Kailanna walked with Inuyasha but this time Kagome just walked with Shippo in her arms and they were giggling together. It was a beautiful day, not too hot and not too cold. The sun was shining just perfectly above everyone's head with a cool breeze passing by every now and then. Inuyasha walked with his arms crossed while Kailanna walked with her hands loosely swinging at her sides and the inconsistent breeze blowing through their long shiny silver hair and ruffled their red and green kimonos.
"So where are heading anyway?" Kailanna broke the silence between her and Inuyasha. He just shrugged, "Wherever. We don't have a lead on Naraku right now so we try and go find one." She nodded and looked ahead, "What are you going to do with the Shikon Jewel?" "Become a full demon." Inuyasha didn't hesitate to answer. Kailanna sighed quietly and looked down at her feet, nodding a bit. "What?" Inuyasha said hastily, noticing her disappointment. "Can't you ever be happy with who you are Inuyasha? Did you ever think you were meant to be this way?" She said quietly to him and looked up at him. Inuyasha just scoffed at her and looked away, avoiding the topic. "But hey, it's not my decision, I'm happy with who I am." Kailanna just shrugged. Inuyasha slowly glanced down at her; she was looking at the ground.
The travellers walked around for a while till it was the middle of the afternoon and the sun was above everyone's heads. Everyone had started to walk closer together with individual conversations going on. Sango and Miroku were still in their own little world while Kagome and Shippo were still giggling. At what? No one ever knows.
As the group were walking they emerged from the trees and entered a large pasture that lead to more trees, but walking halfway through Kilala started to growl, "Kilala? What is it?" Sango seemed worried. Everyone stopped and stood on guard. Finally the reason for Kilala's weird behaviour appeared in front of the travelling comrades. A full fledge dog demon with his little troll of a minion and a little girl who no one knew why she stayed with him. As the man's mode of transportation disappeared, Inuyasha stood in front of all of his friends with Kailanna and glared at his older brother Sesshomaru.
"Inuyasha." Kailanna whispered quietly in Inuyasha's ear, staying close by his side. Inuyasha ignored her and focused on his half-brother. "What do you want Sesshomaru?" Inuyasha spat his name with hostility. "Sesshomaru? Is that your brother Inuyasha?" "Half-brother." The full demon spoke out finally, "Who is your friend Inuyasha." "Like it matters." Inuyasha retorted. "Lord Sesshomaru that girl is a half-demon like Inuyasha!" Jaken, Sesshomaru's servant spoke out. "She's pretty Lord Sesshomaru!" The little girl, Rin, commented excitedly.
"What is your name? And how do you know me?" Sesshomaru talked to Kailanna. "Leave her out of this." Inuyasha said. "It's fine Inuyasha." Kailanna told him quietly and stepped in front of Inuyasha, "My name is Kailanna, and I know you because we sort of grew up together." Sesshomaru examined her, staring. "Kailanna, the mutt just like Inuyasha, yes I remember you and your Father, noble man but stupid, just like my Father." Kailanna flinched at the word mutt, "Don't call me or Inuyasha a mutt." She said sternly. The members of the group all looked at Kailanna as if she didn't have a clue of what she was getting into. "Your friend has attitude Inuyasha." Sesshomaru commented while he couldn't take his eyes off of Kailanna, examining her and her body and stayed quiet awhile as he looked. Kailanna stared right back although wondering why Sesshomaru was staring at her. "You smell like your father and look like him as well. I can't believe both of our Fathers decided so ridiculously to take a human mate." He paused, "I thought you died when you were young." Sesshomaru told Kailanna, not taking his eyes off of her at all.
"Cut the crap Sesshomaru! What the hell do you want?!" Inuyasha yelled in frustration and pulled Kailanna back towards him. "Well Inuyasha I think it is quite obvious what I have come for. Hand Tetsusaiga over." Sesshomaru said in a monotone. Inuyasha chuckled, "You know you can't wield Tetsusaiga Sesshomaru." "That is the least of your worries Inuyasha, hand it over or have it taken by force." Sesshomaru told him. "Like hell." Kailanna muttered and put her hand on the hilt of Vanyokai. Inuyasha put his hand over hers, "This is my battle not yours." "Hey, we are in this together, all the way alright? There is no way he can handle both of us." Kailanna told him quietly. "So what is it Inuyasha?" Sesshomaru called out. "What the hell do you think the answer is?" Inuyasha yelled out. "If you insist." Sesshomaru put his hand on the hilt of his sword. At that action both Kailanna and Inuyasha drew their swords and simultaneously the demonic light engulfed both of their swords and it transformed before their eyes. Sesshomaru stopped, "I see that I have caught you all at a bad time. We will finish this Inuyasha." Sesshomaru then gave a final look at Kailanna and took flight into the air.
"Lord Sesshomaru that woman had a sword like Tetsusaiga." Jaken commented while going through the air. "Yes I have heard of it. Its name is Vanyokai, made from Kailanna's Fathers fang just like Tetsusaiga." Sesshomaru told him. "Lord Sesshomaru, that Kailanna girl was pretty!" Rin said happily. "The woman is interesting; we will have to keep our eye on her." Sesshomaru said dully. "But Lord Sesshomaru she is a half-demon! Nothing to compare with you!" Jaken yelled in his annoying high-pitched voice. "Silence, Jaken." The full demon quieted his servant.
Back with the travelling group Kailanna and Inuyasha returned their swords to their original state and slid them into their sheaths. "What the hell is that about?" Kailanna looked at Inuyasha. "He has always wanted Tetsusaiga." Inuyasha replied and started to walk again. As they all continued on their journey Kailanna looked at Inuyasha, "What did you mean when you said that he can't wield it." "The only reason Inuyasha is able to wield Tetsusaiga is because he is a half-demon, the human in his blood allows him to touch Tetsusaiga." Miroku chimed in. "Sesshomaru has Tessaiga, the other part of their Father's fang, but it doesn't kill, it heals." Kagome added. "A sword that heals instead of kills? That doesn't seem right for Sesshomaru." Realization his Kailanna, "That's why he had two swords on his belt." "He healed the little girl, Rin, with it." Sango told her. "So Sesshomaru does have a soft spot, it's the girl, but why does she travel with them?" Kailanna asked curiously. Everyone shrugged, it was a mystery.
"I saw Sesshomaru staring at Kailanna a lot." Kagome commented with a small smile, "Maybe he has a soft spot for her!" Kailanna just laughed a bit, "Yeah right." Inuyasha just looked at Kailanna and stared for a second, thinking. "Anyway it's getting later, maybe we should stop somewhere for the night and take a bath." Kagome suggested. Sango and Miroku nodded while Inuyasha sighed and rolled his eyes. Kailanna smiled and nodded, "That'd be amazing right now." "But first we have a find a hot spring." Sango added. Kailanna nodded a bit and focused on her nose to detect any small of a hot spring on their travels.
