Night had fallen slowly upon the Masterson manor, even so there was much activity going on. You could not directly see it however. On the surface Pokemon went about their usual nightly routine, while some younger ones grouped together with friends to go to the city not far from the manor. No the real activity happened in the minds of the head of the house, along with her relatives. Yes Rosie Masterson the Phoenix queen had much going through her mind right now with overwhelming amounts of stress. Tomorrow afternoon they would gather again to discuss the best plan of attack on the Terachians. The location of their base was learned merely hours ago. And that did not help much.
They were hiding in a ship roughly the size of a full grown Leviathan somewhere in the sky. It wasn't in space exactly but high enough that it hide among the sky. Scorch, Fury, and Brenda could easily fly to it but with no knowledge of it's defenses and the threat of Ariel clone combat, the idea was quickly crushed.
So at this time of the night Rosie was sitting in her bedroom with a book in hands, though she was not truly reading it but rather holding it while her mind wandered.
"A sleepless night mistress?" Rosie instantly broke free from her thoughts and looked at the entrance of her room while a large smile was growing on her lips.
"Jasmine! Oh it is so nice to see you again! Yes... sadly I am struggling to sleep tonight" Jasmine. Head general of the phoenix army and one of the greatest warriors (Besides kings) to roam the battlefield. She was wearing her armor, fully covered from head to toe, or she would have been if her helmet was on. The armor was a gilded red and gold, with a golden plume above the top of the helmet to show her rank among the army. She was taller than Rosie by about four inches, with slightly darker skin than Rosie possessed. She had long straight black hair that reached to about shoulder length. She had beautiful hazel eyes and full lips that lit up the room when she smiled. Though it was hardly ever around her soldiers.
"It is nice to see you too after such an absence, everything is progressing well at home. Expansion is underway and we continue to grow ever stronger, but we always grieve. Her soldiers, as well as most of the phoenix race was shocked when the news that their king had died in battle came to them. Most began grieving at the loss, others refused to believe that the one who had led them through hell and back finally rested with other fallen warriors.
"I cannot begin to express my sorrow, though that time has passed for me but I will never forget, I couldn't live with myself if I did. How are Ciberious and the other's? It has been a while since he has visited"
"Ciberious is well, his wife Blackfire is pregnant again, they are expecting a son this time" Rosie smiled and got up from her bed.
"That is excellent to hear! I can't wait to see the young one!" Rosie wrapped her arms around Jasmine, wearing nothing but a loose fitting sleeping gown, and whispered into her ear. "How does that make you feel though?"
"Mistress?"
"The fact that you won't bear child to the one we have loved?" Jasmine was one who had wished to bear a child to her Sire, but with her position and the danger of which it entailed. Blaze had decided for it to be safest and smartest to wait until there was a period where he could afford to have a general off duty.
"You know how I feel mistress, but what has happened cannot be changed, no matter how much I wish I could... How are the children?" she said changing the subject.
"Raxtus, Rose, and Gaudry have grown much in this short time. Rosaline is an adult already and growing in strength each day. It hurts somewhat that she has aged so fast but her maturation rate is very quick, she will live as long as the rest of us which is a nice thing to have in mind"
"Truly, tomorrow would it be alright if I spent some time with them? Alice knows I've been too busy to visit as often as I would like"
"Of course! But on one condition" Rosie said with a smile.
"Anything"
"Strip down and come sleep with me" Rosie said going over and sitting on her bed. Smiling Jasmine began taking off her armor and arranging it into a neat pile at the foot of the bed. Now wearing nothing but a bra and underwear she slipped into the bed and wrapped her arms around her queens waist.
"Goodnight mistress" Jasmine said pecking her on the cheek. With someone once again holding onto her Rosie was able to quickly drift off into a thoughtless sleep.
The morning came and Rosie found herself alone in bed once again. Sighing she perked immediately when she heard the door to the shower open. Jasmine stepped out with a towel covering her up.
"Morning mistress, how was your sleep?" she asked smiling.
"Oh, it was nice, the best sleep i've had in a while actually"
"That's nice, anything you need me for before I go with the children?" she asked.
"No that's it thank you for spending time with me" Rosie said with a smile.
"Of course my queen" Jasmine erupted in flames and once they died down she was fully covered in her armor once again. "I will see you later then" she bowed before leaving her bedroom.
"Well now it is time I suppose" she said. Sighing heavily for what she was sure was only to be the first today, she headed to the shower to start her day.
*Rosie*
"There is no logical way to attack the Terachians until we deal with the clones. They have their defenses heightened since the first time we boarded so they'll see us coming. We will fight the clones on our home to limit any harm to this one. Anything else?" I asked.
"Is their any way to figure out for sure that once they are down that we should be able to fully attack them without risk of any of us falling to their defenses?" Saske asked.
"Their full defensive and offensive capabilities are unknown to us as of this moment, it could be suicide if we launched an all out attack in our true forms" I said.
"So flying up there and crushing it with our sheer mass is out of the question then?" Brenda asked.
"Yes, unless we were adept in shielding magic, it's never been my strong suit but i'm sure I could whip up something for it if the need arises" Scorch said.
"That may prove useful in what is to come, if you can try out those spells and see what you can do with them. As for what is to happen, we have four days before they attack, and when they do we must wait before they touch ground to open the gateway. Scorch your timing needs to be exact in order for this to work" I said.
"Understood, i'll get on that as soon as I can"
"Is that everything covered?"
"About, Alice is still unreachable?" Fury asked.
I sighed, "Yes, she is still unavailable, we are on our own. That matters little though, we have relied on our own strength for countless years, we can do so again" they nodded their approval. "Okay then, take care of yourselves and spend some time with your kids or something I don't know, just get ready" they quickly left to whatever they were going to do. I wasn't really in the mood to care too much right now.
"Things are starting to get stressful aren't they?" Luxray asked from the doorway.
"Yes, very fucking stressful" I said rubbing my temples.
"Relax Rosie, come have a drink with me, i'm sure it'll help you feel better" A drink sounded great right about now.
"I don't know if I should though, I think my time would be better spent with the kids"
"It's always better spent with them. Right now though you need to relax and calm your nerves, you can't do your best if your all stressed out" she was right.
"Fine... a quick drink though, I can't get drunk right now" Luxray smiled and dragged me out.
"I won't get you drunk, nut I also won't stop you either!" she said laughing. I couldn't help but let out a small smile at that. Once we were there Sapphire was there in her usual place at the bar, quite a few people were here today, Giratina and her sisters, Umbreon, Ray, and so on.
"Sapphire get me the usual alright? Nothing too strong tonight" I said sitting down right in front of her.
"You alright? Why don't you talk to Marco about giving you a massage? You seem like you could use one" she said while pouring my drink.
"Mmh, that sounds nice, I probably should huh?" I took a nice long refreshing sip from my glass before placing it back down on the counter. "It's going to be hectic these next few days"
"I know, most know so they won't be bothering any of you until this is all over"
"They don't need to go that far, though it is appreciated somewhat" I said taking another sip. We continued to make small talk while I worked on finishing my drink. In all honesty this did help out my nerves a bit, I knew i'd be fine but it's been quite some time since I've actually fought. I had my loving husband there with me at all times, he always threw himself in harms way to protect me. That said I did still have my fair share of fun, if you thought he was terrifying you've never seen me when my children are put in danger.
After I had finished my drink I took Sapphire's advice and went to see Marco.
*Alice*
"Four days, that's it right?" I asked sitting on the bed in the room my sister prepared for me.
"That's right, and I do hope you forgive me when this is all said and done" Dieane was sitting in a nice looking chair across from me. The room was nice as well but a little too red for my tastes.
"Depending on how it goes I might, i'll still be made at you for a good while when they win" I said glaring at her.
"'When' hm? I hope it's when too and not if. I would hate to gain a few more young souls"
"That is their curse huh? They are monsters even to their own races simply because of the Terachians lust for power. I would have liked to see how Blaze and the others would have grown if they were 'normal'"
"I doubt they would have been as exciting but i'm fairly certain they would have eventually become rulers of their races as they are now. Scorch would have become the dragon queen instead of the White Dragon"
"Ciberious is a good man, powerful as well. He surpasses Scorch in raw power, but she has the upper hand with her magical skills. She could beat him without moving if she wished" She laughed at that.
"That would be a sight to see! The White Dragon being tossed around like a rag doll by his superior" her gaze turned serious again quickly. "Things have been set in motion by the young Windborne, Ciberious and the remaining kings will come and help fight, with their help the chances of success has grown, but not by much. The Terachians have three horrible surprises in store for them. If they get past the first too, I fear they will be too exhausted for the third. I don't think my handsome young friend here would be much help against it"
I hadn't even noticed that the cloaked figure had appeared behind her. Whoever this was they were on an entirely different level than Rosie and her family. If he wasn't going to be much help, I feared greatly for them.
"So you see all this but you still can't see the outcome?" she shook her head.
"Bits and pieces slowly come to me, but something still clouds the end, I cannot say whether they win or lose, only that there will be much death after these four short days"

"YES!" I shouted in victory. I immediately collapsed on the ground from exhaustion though. I didn't care, we had done it. We were able to fully cast and manipulate the spell, if only for ten minutes. But the results were incredible, never before had I felt such a rush!

"I need to test it out first because i'm not sure, but once I am i'll tell you" she said slowly standing up.
"Well do it fast, we hardly have anytime to waste on things that might not even work" Gaudry said.
"It won't go to waste, you just have to trust me on this one" Rose said before heading towards the shower.
"Well I think it's quitting time for today. I promised Eris a date today anyway, gotta be sure not to disappoint, i'll see you two tomorrow" Raxtus left to the male portion of the bathrooms and that just left me and my oldest sister Gaudry.
"Raxtus is right, we can't continue today. How is it with Mew?" I nearly fell on my face.
"It's... okay I guess, I don't know if I would say good or bad. We haven't really done anything with each other. I'm also unsure of what to do with her" I admitted.
"Take things slowly, take her out to dinner, watch a movie, dance with her. Stay away from full on sex for a while though. Raxtus kinda messed that one up, but you know life happens and we're different from humans so we mature faster in that aspect so it' common. "They've been in stasis for a while let them be!" I shouted getting up from the controls. I heard one of them roar in my direction. "Tell that one to shut up as well!" I left Marshal and his tyrannical rule in favor of the slight comfort of my chambers. I sighed and lied down on my bed dreading the coming battle.
They wouldn't win in a brawl, no they would have to outsmart them, out tactic them. Difficult yes but possible, the clones are driven on instinct, which can be influenced with certain items. Magic is also on their side, the clones have the ability to use magic but not in precise ways. If Marshall had any brains he would have made them immune or at least magic resistant. The ability for magical immunity however is a secret he will never find out. Only my bloodline has it, Rosie should also have it as well.
She is quite a cute girl too, i'm so happy my son found such a beautiful mate. The children came out healthy too! I smiled a small smile before letting guilt and sleep take me.
