Chapter 10- A New Goal… Namek!

"I can help you people in this situation." a voice interrupted Bulma and everyone turned around to see whom it belonged to.

Bulma freaked out as the person to whom the voice belonged, was right behind her, outside of the window flowing on a carpet.

"Hey, how are you Mr. Popo?" Goku asked cheerfully.

"Hello, Goku, I'm fine, just saddened on losing Kami. I heard you were looking for a spaceship?"

"I don't believe it! You find us another spaceship?" asked Krillin.

"Maybe"

"Hey Mr. Popo, where is the spaceship?" asked Goku while the rest of the group – those who were not familiar with Mr. Popo – looked confused.

"I think it's a spaceship, but I'm not sure. So, someone has to come with me. I'll show them where it is."

"Hey Bulma," Krillin said turning towards the intelligent woman standing there.

"What? Me?" Bulma questioned.

"Let's face it Bulma, you're the only technical genius in the group." Krillin said.

OoOoO

"Piccolo" Mr. Popo had transported himself and Bulma to their destination using his carpet. They were standing in front of an insect-like spacecraft. Mr. Popo's words had opened the door of the spaceship. Bulma and Popo hopped onto the hover-door.

"How do we go in?" questioned Bulma.

"Just say the word 'Piccolo,' it is a Namekian word which is also the password to enter this spaceship." Mr. Popo explained as the door started to lift up towards the spaceship.

"Cool" Bulma said.

"This spaceship works on commands given in language of people from Namek." Popo said.

"What? Then how are we supposed to use it? Without someone who knows the language we are fucked."

"Why don't you ask me Bulma? I learned a little Namekian living with Kami for so long." On hearing this Bulma jumped up from her seat. "You do? Mr. Popo, you are great! Now say the word 'Blast-off' in Namek."

As soon as Mr. Popo gave the command, the spaceship started shaking and started moving towards sky at a very fast pace.

"The spaceship is amazing!" Bulma exclaimed entering her friends' room. "I saw Jupiter, can you guys believe it? "

"Hold your horses Bulma" Krillin said and Bulma stopped speaking for a moment.

"The spaceship is extraordinarily fast. We reached near Jupiter in less than a minute! According to my calculations it will take us one month to reach Namek."

"Ahem… one month alone with Bulma… sign me up! It'll be the trip of a lifetime, I promise." Master Roshi said and Bulma glared angrily towards him.

"Great!" Goku cheered interrupting them, but he regretted doing so after pain arose in his body. "It seems like I won't be able to go, hehe."

"My father and I are currently working on the spaceship. It will take three days." Bulma said before turning towards Korin "Can you grow some Senzu Beans in this short time period?"

"Nope" replied Korin – who was there to see Goku - before leaving the room.

"Hey, Bulma, the doctor said I don't have any serious injury. So I will be discharged in 24 hours. I can go with you on Namek." Krillin said.

"Go with me? I'm not going to Namek! The ship operates on commands in language of people from Namek. Mr. Popo is the only one who knows a little bit of Namekian, besides I am not going on any dangerous mission. I'm too young and beautiful to die!" Bulma replied.

"Sorry, but I can't go to Namek either. I have to take care of Lookout but I can surely teach you enough words of Namekian which will be needed to make the ship function properly, Bulma."

"You're also the only one who can fix the ship, incase any technical problem takes place." Gohan said before Bulma was able to reply to Mr. Popo.

"He's right you know." Master Roshi said.

"Umm, Fine!" Bulma said after thinking a little. "We're doing it for our friends after all." We'll bring you back Yamcha. She thought.

"Great!" Krillin cheered. "So, how many people are going? Me, Bulma and…?"

"I will go too."

"No you're not going anywhere Gohan!" Chi-Chi yelled.

"Speak slowly Chi-Chi, this is a hospital. There are patients everywhere." Bulma said.

Chi-Chi grunted "I'm not letting my only son go in space for ball hunting. This is dangerous!"

"Don't be silly mom" Gohan said.

"I'm silly? My son tells me I'm silly? I'm not the one who wants to run around and be a superhero."

"Bulma, you'll take me with you, won't you?" Gohan asked ignoring her mother. Bulma quivered when Chi-Chi turned towards her glaring furiously.

"That's it. I'm putting my foot down Gohan! I won't let you leave me again. I just saw you after a whole year. You're a child. Act like one! Don't throw away your childhood trying so hard to be brave adult. Being a kid is the best part of your life. You should be making friends and playing games…" Chi-Chi was speaking but Gohan interrupted her "Piccolo died fighting when he was nine. He could have lived till father arrived, but he saved me by transferring a big part of his ki in my body. I'm going!" [1]

"H…How did I raise such a stubborn child!?" Chi-Chi said in shock.

"There's no time for those childish things, mom. My friends are gone and they are not coming back. I've got to help find the dragon balls. I owe my life to Piccolo. I can't sit around doing nothing when Piccolo needs me, I can't help them by sitting on a couch in our home. You see… they are my friends." Gohan said and Chi-Chi left the room with tears in her eyes. Were those tears in mom's eyes?Gohan thought and jumped down from his bead running behind his mother. As he opened the door, a nurse entered the room.

"NO! There is no need to use needles!" Goku screamed on seeing her.

"Oh boy. Goku, please don't tell me that I'm going to have to start training you not to fear needles. But I can surely teach this beautiful nurse few moves heh hehe" Roshi said eyeing the nurse's breasts.

"Mom, stop!" Gohan yelled as soon as he came out of his room. He used his speed to reach in front of her. "I'm sorry to yell on you mother, but… Ahh, the chest wound hurts!" Gohan moaned as Chi-Chi kneeled down and embraced him. "Bwah, my son is growing up so fast, now he talks like an adult." Chi-Chi said sobbing "I know you want to help your friends, after all you're son of Goku."

"Don't cry mom. I promise I will return safely." Gohan said. She's acting so strange all of a sudden?

"Who told you that you're going?" Chi-Chi asked.

"Not again mom."

"You will only go on one condition. Promise me you'll return safely."

"But I already…"

"Don't talk back mister. I will have to teach you a lot after you return."

"Okay, mom, I will return safely, I promise."

OoOoOoO

"Someone is coming" A purple skinned alien said.

"Might be Lord Frieza." said a human lookalike alien.

"No way, his ship's pilot just informed they are moving for Namek." The purple alien said.

"It seems like Vegeta!" The second one said "Attention, this is the control tower. Prepare for arrival of Vegeta, immediately!" A bunch of aliens ran outside. "I see only one pod. Where is Nappa?" One alien said as Vegeta's pod made contact with landing surface. "He's activated the rejuvenator!" said another "Quick, let's get him in the treatment room and put him in the rejuvenation tank."

Inside the tank Vegeta was thinking about his fight with the Z fighters on Earth. If I'm so strong, why was I so badly beaten in the battle? Why?

Krillin, Bulma and Roshi were on Roshi's Island. They were ready to leave for Namek, the ship was also ready. They were waiting for Gohan to arrive. "I can see Chi-Chi's air-car coming towards us." Krillin said. Hearing the information Bulma and Roshi came out from inside his house.

"Hee heee haha ha. I worried about not having a spacesuit. At least I don't have to wear a little uniform." Krillin said as Gohan stepped out of the car.

"Yeah, dad though I looked pretty funny too." Gohan replied who was wearing a suit. "Mom also used gel on my hairs."

"Now let's go, Gohan." Bulma said as she neared the spaceship. "Piccolo."

"Bye mom, bye Master Roshi, bye turtle." Gohan said bye to everyone as he jumped on the hover-door and Bulma said 'Piccolo' again.

"Where is your luggage?" Krillin questioned as he took a seat near the control area of ship.

"Packed in a capsule." Gohan replied as he took a seat beside Krillin.

"Buckle your seatbelts, we are going in space." Bulma yelled as she said the Namekian word for blastoff.

OoOoOoO

"Dodoria!" Frieza called for his servant.

"What can I do for you Lord Frieza?" Dodoria questioned as he ran towards Frieza.

"How long is it going to take us before we reach planet Namek?" Frieza yelled with anger.

"At the speed we are going it will take us three weeks, Lord Frieza." Dodoria replied trembling with fear.

"Tell them to move this ship as fast as they can."

"But we're moving at our maximum speed."

"We don't have time!" Frieza yelled "I don't want my father or brother to gain knowledge of where the Dragon Balls are." Dodoria gulped with fear. "Now don't stand here and wet yourself. Go away." Frieza said as he went out of the flying ship on his hover car. "I need to calm down" Frieza murmured "Better destroy a planet haha ha!" the evil tyrant laughed before sending a massive ball of ki towards the planet his ship was passing by.

"Soon I will be immortal and the lone ruler of this universe. Haha ha ha."

He's going insane in hopes of becoming immortal. As soon as you get a chance to fulfill your wish using the dragon balls, Frieza, I will speak mine first.Zarbon though looking at the destruction from a window.

OoOoOoO

"Is he coming out already?" A doctor said rushing inside the room Vegeta was getting healed on hearing rejuvenation tank making familiar noises.

"Vegeta you're not fully healed yet, you've been there only for one and a half hour." The doctor said trying to stop Vegeta.

"My wounds will only be healed by the blood of revenge." Vegeta said. "Where are you going?" yelled the doctor as Vegeta blasted the door and went out of the treatment room.

I will kill Kakarot and his half-saiyan whelp, but first I have to go to planet Namek .Vegeta thought as he entered a room where his armor and cloths were. After wearing a new set of saiyan uniform and taking a scouter Vegeta went towards the main control tower.

"Where is Frieza?" he asked by grabbing one of the alien there by his neck.

"Lord Frieza is on his way to planet Namek." replied another worker.

Vegeta smirked and blasted the alien he was holding. He turned towards the one who gave him this information. "Don't worry, I will not kill you like I ended the life of your friend, but I don't have to save you when I destroy this planet." Vegeta said and started laughing when Frieza's force of that planet started entering the room.

"Stop, Vegeta!" yelled their commander. "I hope you don't want to mess with Lord Frieza. This planet is very important part of Frieza-empire's communication network. Surrender or we will kill you."

Vegeta smirked and raised a hand up blasting the roof of that tower. He started flying towards the sky and the force started to follow him.

"First I will destroy this planet, then I will become immortal and finally I will rule this Universe after destroying the Cold family." Vegeta said and pressed a remote's button. A space-pod started moving in his direction. Vegeta cupped his hands on his side "Gallick Gun!" he yelled and fired a big beam of energy which killed the aliens chasing him before making contact with that planet's surface.

Minutes before the planet exploded Vegeta went inside the pod and started moving in Namek's direction. Within weeks I will become immortal.

OoOoO

"Why you two are sitting there with your eyes closed?"

"We are mediating, you can say, training." Krillin replied without opening his eyes.

"We are going to get dragon balls, not to have war." Bulma said.

"Incase Vegeta came there and training is helpful anyways." Gohan replied.

Bulma freaked out thinking about the saiyan prince "I don't wanna interrupt your training but this place looks filthy. Can't you two find a minute to clean your mess?"

"…"

"I like to run a tidy ship!" Bulma yelled.

"Sorry Bulma, but we don't eat junk food and read magazines. That's all your mess. We already cleaned things spread by us."

"Yeah, but I'm busy and don't cry to me if I forget making your dinner."

"You can't win in an argument with a woman, especially if you're a male of our group." Krillin murmured to Gohan and he nodded in reply.

"What are you two talking?"

"Nothing Bulma, we were discussing how to train after cleaning all of this." Gohan said as he stood up and started cleaning things at high speed. Krillin followed him.

"My father said something about installing his 'gravity modifier' project's test machine on this ship. You two can check if it is any way helpful in training."

"Gravi… What?" Krillin questioned not understanding what she said.

"Gravity modifier, is it a machine to make changes in gravitational force?" Gohan said.

"Yep, he was working on this project from past year. He decided to install it after Goku told us about his training in the other dimension." Bulma replied.

"Teach us how to use it!" Gohan said excitedly and droped the things he picked up after cleaning the room.

OoOoO

"Don't you miss your mom? It has been two weeks since we left." Krillin asked Gohan.

"I miss her and father, but hey, I've already been one year away from her." Gohan said as he came out of the gravity room.

"Boy, how much I miss earth, at least we got good quality food there." Krillin said and Gohan chuckled.

"I'm going to sleep." Gohan said before entering his room.

"Rest for a while. It is very exhausting to train, no, even move in 15 times Earth Gravity." Krillin said moving away from there. Damn she's sleeping on the chair only wearing her bra and panty! Krillin though ogling at Bulma's body. What am I thinking? I'm Roshi's student not Roshi! Krillin though, slapping his forehead and went inside his room. Hehe sorry, Yamcha.

Gohan woke up after few hours and went outside "Krillin are you awake?" Gohan murmured entering his friend's room. He's in deep sleep. I will train on my own. Gohan thought as he moved out of Krillin's room and went inside the gravity room.

"I wonder how much gravity I can stand if I power up to my maximum." Gohan said to himself and started powering up to his max strength. As Gohan finished powering up a white aura surrounded him."Cool! My power level is almost 7000 now. Let's start at 15 times Earth gravity." Gohan said and set the gravity-stimulator at 15g.

"This is very easy when using your full power. I have to train at maximum gravity I can handle." Gohan murmured jumping in air and throwing few kicks and punches very easily. "Let's try at 20g" Gohan said and increased the numbers.

Now I'm having a little trouble walking, but I can still walk. Gohan reached the panel after moving around a little and pressed the buttons. Gravity inside the room increased 25 times that of Earth and Gohan fell down on ground. "That hurt a little." Gohan said as he tried to get up but was not able to move a muscle. "I didn't think 25 times earth gravity will have such an affect."

Gohan was wondering when suddenly the machine started beeping and a robotic voice said "Warning! Maximum gravity selected. 50g!"

"What? How this happened?" Gohan questioned himself.

"Gohan are you in there? Damn it, this door is locked. Don't worry; we're currently in a magnetic storm. It will end in an hour." Bulma yelled from outside the door.

"Yeah, I'm fine Bulma" Gohan said from inside. Stuck here for one hour? I got to shut down the machine but how when I can't even move a finger? Gohan used all his strength and turned his one palm so now it was facing the roof of room. "I got to destroy the controls." He said and fired a ki ball from his hand. The ball went a little up but then fell down upon him.

After around 45 minutes and eating few of his ki attacks Gohan was able to sit. "This… This is so hard" He said panting. Gohan got on his knees and tried to stand up. I can't get up this way. He said and cupped his hands. "Kamehameha" he directed the ki wave at floor – not putting a lot of energy as he didn't wanted to destroy the floor - and used the energy wave to propel himself up in air. "The fall will be painful, but I got to blast that red deactivation button." Gohan said as he started descending at very high speed. He pushed the 'deactivate' button before the collision with the machine, he made a huge dent but was able to successfully turn the machine off.

"Are you alright Gohan? What was that noise?" Bulma asked reaching the door of gravity room. The door was now open as the machine was off. "What happened to you?" She asked concerned. "Nothing, I'm fine. Just a little exhausted." Gohan said as he jumped on the floor but fell flat on his face. He stood up with his rubbing his face. "Hey Bulma, can you fix the machine later?" Gohan asked moving out of the room.

"Hmm? Yeah, surely." Bulma said looking at the dent. What happened here?

OoOoOoO

Time passed pretty quickly and the little group from Earth was going to reach planet Namek within two hours. But on planet Namek someone had already arrived.

"We reached Namek, Lord Frieza." Zarbon said as he entered Frieza's chamber.

Frieza smirked and came out of the room still sitting on his hover chair. "Ask everyone to come out we're going dragon ball hunting." Zarbon ordered one of the members of Frieza's force. Soon everyone was outside and Frieza was grinning with pure joy hovering over his ship.

"So how do we find them?" Dodoria questioned.

"Search for power levels using your scouter and ask from namekians about the Dragon Balls." Zarbon said matter-of-factly.

"Hunh? Let's go in groups" Dodoria said.

"Follow me worthless morons." Frieza said before flying in one direction. Zarbon followed him and soon everyone did the same.

Soon they were outside a small Namekian village. Almost every namekian came out on sensing huge power levels heading their way.

"How can we help you people?" The elder of the village asked and the next moment his head was on ground.

"I thought nameks were respectful," Zarbon said who was pushing the elder's body on ground with his boot "Everyone, bow down in front of your god and ruler Lord Frieza."

"Leave him you bastard!" yelled a young Namekian kid.

"We don't want to hurt anyone," Frieza started speaking "Hand over the Dragon Balls and we will leave without harming anyone."

"Why you need the dragon balls?" somehow the elder managed to ask "You people appear evil, we can't give you the dragon balls to you."

"The only thing you should be worried about is the life of your people." Dodoria said.

A daring Namek jumped towards Zarbon to help his elder. As soon as he reached him, Zarbon punched him in the stomach. The Namek fell down on his knees. Zarbon was going to kill him for his actions but Frieza's voice stopped him from doing so.

"I can't take risk of killing them you fool!" Frieza yelled.

He's not going to kill us because he knows that killing us can also end dragon balls. The elder though as he started to get up on his feet. "You'll never get the Dragon Balls!" he yelled.

Frieza raised one of his hand "I am sure none of your children created the dragon balls." he said with an evil smile and blasted on of the kid, then he blasted another and then another.

"Stop it!" The elder cried out "Someone please bring the dragon ball outside."

Soon one of Frieza's men was holding a gigantic dragon ball. "Only one? Where are the rest of them? According to the rumors I heard there are seven of them." Frieza said before destroying a house where he sensed another namekian kid. "Please stop! Don't kill the kids! We only had one and we gave it."

"Where can I find the rest of them?"

"Every village got one Dragon Ball."

"I hope we haven't caused much trouble." Frieza said and his eyes flashed bright destroying the rest of houses and killing the remaining Namekians, expect the elder.

OoOoO

"Get out of that room, you two, we will land on Namek in three minutes." Bulma yelled from outside the gravity room.

"We're coming!" Gohan yelled from inside turning off the machine.

"Training in 35 times earth gravity surely paid off." Krillin said punching air in normal gravity.

"Hurry and fasten up your seat belts!" Bulma yelled from the control room. Soon they were on Namek's surface.

Finally we will be able to bring Piccolo and others back. Gohan thought.

"Piccolo" Krillin said and the door started to go down.

"Hey! Wait you guys. First let me check the gravitational force, atmosphere and other necessary stuff for our safety."

Gohan and Krillin went outside ignoring Bulma. "Gravity is same as Earth. You can come out, Bulma." Gohan yelled from outside gaining Bulma's attention.

"HOW DARE YOU TWO STEP OUTSIDE WITHOUT WAITING FOR MY APPROVAL!" Bulma screamed and went outside. "What if you'd walked outside and there would've been no oxygen!?"

"Well, freak out, don't ya?" Krillin replied.

Bulma's face twitched with anger.

"What does the dragon radar say?" Krillin questioned changing the topic.

Bulma pulled it out from her jacket's pocket. "Look! They are right here."

"Haa, what's that? I… I sense a strong force." Gohan said.

"Really?"

"It is coming from that direction." Gohan said.

"I feel it too Gohan. I wonder what it is." Krillin said.

"I'm sure it is just one of the Nameks." Bulma said.

"It is way too high of a reading, isn't it, Gohan?" Krillin said.

"It is way higher than anything I ever sensed and it seems evil too." Gohan said.

"Don't talk like that you two. Let's start searching for the dragon balls." Bulma said "See, we already located six of them. Four are even together. Let's go and meet the nice citizens of Namek."

"You're right." Krillin said "I agree it's probably one of the nameks." Suddenly they heard noise of something tearing layers of air.

"It's a saiyan space pod!" Bulma screamed terrified for her life.

"It's Vegeta, I know it!" Krillin said "He knew about the Dragon Balls too!"

"You think he's healed already?" Gohan questioned.

"I don't know. I should have killed him back on earth." Krillin replied regretting listening to Goku. "Bulma, you call earth and tell Goku to come here as soon as possible." Bulma nodded and went inside the ship to call Master Roshi. She had already made arrangements there before leaving."Gohan mask your energy." Krillin said and Gohan did so.

"I have no way to beat him in a proper fight. I have to find the dragon balls and get eternal life, then I'll teach Frieza a thing or two about who he's messing with." Vegeta said getting out of his pod from a crater and placing the scouter in front of his eyes. "Now, let's take a little peek around… see what's cooking on this sorry excuse of a planet… eh, what's this? Well, I see he brought Zarbon and Dodoria along for the ride. Good, I will settle my score with those two ass kissers."

OoOoO

"Why can't you just lay there and sleep like a normal patient? You're bothering everyone!" Chi-Chi yelled at Goku who was trying to lift water outside of a cup using his ki.

"Because I'm not a normal patient. I'm a fighter. I need to get outta this place!"

"Oh Goku! Stop talking like such a tough guy." Chi-Chi said angrily.

"Sorry to disturb your private talk but I have some important news." Korin said reaching them.

"What is it, Korin?" Goku questioned.

"Well I was watching a new show at Roshi's house when that pretty girl Bulma gave a call. I went to my tower and got these," Korin said throwing a small bag of senzu beans on Goku's chest.

"Senzu beans!" Goku asked surprise.

"They are fresh. Bulma told us that the saiyan guy you fought is already on Namek. So get your rear end there." Korin said before walking away "And go meet her dad."

"Thanks for the senzu beans, Korin." Goku said as he tossed one inside his mouth. "I'm going for the safety of Gohan and my friends, okay?" Goku said before planting a kiss on Chi-Chi's lips and jumping out of the window. He flew towards Capsule Corporation.

"How long before she's able to fly?" Goku asked Mr. Briefs who was coming out of the space ship made for Goku.

"She's ready now. Anywhere in the universe you want to go."

"Great!" Goku said flying inside the ship.

"There's a full kitchen down this way… and to get to the bathroom, you follow the green arrows-"

"Where can I train? Without proper training I won't be able to fight Vegeta." Goku said interrupting Dr. Briefs.

"You can use my latest invention to help you in training, it manipulates gravity." Dr. Briefs said walking inside the gravity room and showing Goku how to use it. Soon Goku bid farewell to everyone and launched his spaceship for Namek. "Don't worry Gohan, daddy is coming to save you."

AN- Which way looks more comfortable when reading, *thoughts* as used till last chapter or thoughts? Hope this chapter was worth the wait. Phailin fucked up internet and electricity in my area or else I would have update a little earlier. I will post the next chapter within 10 days, I promise.
