Chapter 10
The quest begins
/Shane's POV/
When Percy was knocking at my door let's just say I was watching her out side my window. I am not a stalker I swear! Any way when I heard her knock at my door to my cabin I quickly brushed my hair any answered the door acting all cool. I was alone in my cabin because the others went off to sword fighting practice and I didn't feel too well earlier, but now I feel fine. I was hoping she came to her senses so I even said "I see you have finally come to your senses".
I pulled her into the cabin and tackled her I was kissing her like there was no tomorrow. I am a hormonal boy so I started tugging at her shirt and she said in a steely tone "I am not here for this" I didn't let my upset expression show "I was coming to inform you that you are going on a quest with me and Leo to retrieve Pandora's jar" "Oh okay" I replied "But it will happen eventually though. I will get to packing meet me with your things tomorrow at Thalia's tree" "Ok" she said still in her steely tone.
I met them at the tree in the morning and Leo gave me the death glare while Percy just stared at her feet. I smirked inwardly to myself and thought "This will be fun" of course I stopped when I saw where Leo and Percy's eyes were.
/Percy's POV/
I saw Shane coming up the hill and looked down at my feet. That was until I heard a growl and I looked over and saw the Chimera. As soon as I looked at it it lunged at me.
I dodged as Leo brought out a hammer and Shane was just standing there shocked and stunned. "Ugh what a useless lump" I thought. Leo took out a hammer but the Chimera already knew that trick. The Chimera knocked Leo's hammer from his hand and pounced. I took out my golden sword Riptide. I slashed and parried but the monster would not just die. I started to throw fire balls at it and Leo was doing the same. Shane got out am imperial gold dagger and was stabbing the Chimera's heads. I just thought about something that the Chimera didn't know of. I felt electricity and water crackle around me as I formed a miniature hurricane around my body. My eyes grew as I realized I could do this but fight now ponder later. I blew all of my power onto the Chimera. It disintegrated and I collapsed.
/Leo's POV/
We were fighting the Chimera and I saw Percy glow a light sky blue and red. Her eyes were shifting from sky blue to grey to red. She was making a strategy and fighting, but I didn't know what the sky blue was. I soon found out when she had crackling electricity and water around her making a mini hurricane. She shot all of her force at the monster. Now I knew that sky blue meant Zeus power. The Chimera disintegrated into gold dust falling on the forest floor. Percy collapsed and Shane caught her before I could get there. I gotta say I absolutely hate that guy. First he kidnaps Percy and then he expects her to be his girlfriend. I don't even know what else he did to her.
But, I didn't have time to ponder about that because Percy needed nectar or ambrosia fast. I ran over to our packs and got an ambrosia square and a canteen of nectar. I ran back over to where Percy was only to find Shane smooching with her limp form. I knew Percy wasn't awake which just made it more irritating. He just couldn't stay away from my girlfriend. Why doesn't he go suck faces with Travis Stoll's girlfriend or something or even a tree I don't care just not Percy. I wish I had the blessing of Ares so I could pummel this dude.
"Having fun there Shane" I remarked. He turned around and I could see the fear in his eyes. He should feel fear. "Yes, actually I was Leo. She has the most kissable lips. Don't you think?" Then he smashes his lips back onto Percy's which just made me fill with anger even quicker.
I went over and slapped him across the face so hard it made a red mark. "I would stay away from Percy if you knew what was good for you Shane" I growled. "Well wasn't it Percy's idea to bring me on this quest with you guys? This just shows she wants quality time with me" he smirked. I lit my hands on fire and replied "I suggest you go and get firewood or you will be a heap of ashes". He hurriedly ran off. I just smiled evilly.
I was looking through Percy's backpack and mine to find some tents. I don't know if Percy packed one or if Shane even packed one. If he didn't pack one he will sleep in mine and I am sleeping with Percy. Fortunately though Percy packed a tent and so did Shane. So we would all be sleeping in our own tents.
I set up my tent next to Percy's and Shane's on the other side of Percy's because she is the leader we must surround her. I smiled at the tents. Mine was orange with flames decals on the sides and a bronze zipper and bug screen windows through the flaps.
Percy's was sea green with blue waves on the sides and sea animals printed in the ocean. There were shells on the sand leading up to a shore. The zipper was pink coral and had green bug screen windows under the flaps.
Finally Shane's was bright blinding yellow with sun decals on it. There were pictures of instruments and poetry from famous poets printed all over it. The zipper was Imperial Gold and it had golden bug screen windows under the flaps.
When Shane got back I started making a fire in the center of our tents. I made it glow white hot so it will last throughout the night. I went into Percy's tent and laid her sleeping form there. I left a note beside her telling her where she is and what happened. I laid her under her covers and zipped up her tent on the way out. I also installed a lock and the combo was on the note so that Shane couldn't get in. I placed a flashlight next to her and her backpack as well. I covered up her windows and went to bed myself. I saw Shane going inside of his tent and I went inside of mine. I just hope that Percy is ok when she wakes up. It was right then I drifted into Hypnos's realm.
I hoped you guys liked it! I tried my best to make the battle detailed! I would love to hear all of your reviews! Good or bad commentary is helpful! Tell me if you want to keep the Leo pairing or change it to Shane and Percy. I rather keep the Leo and Percy coupling but I will go on what you guys say! Thx
