Chapter 9: The Unknown Past part 2 (The White Wolf Approaches)

A/N: Howdy all nice of you all to come back after so long. I apologize for my absence to all my fans/readers. However I had my reasons: School, which I bring good news, I've finally graduated! WOOHOO! Anyway my studies do not end here. As of next year I'll be furthering my education by going into a certificate four course in English to complete that and then hopefully get into my Law course so I can become a Lawyer which is something I've wanted to be since I was little . But enough about that, you came here to read more of my work and I am glad to deliver folks. Have fun!

Somewhere deep in the forests surrounding the village and home of Lady Sapphire and her people, resided a small camp of one person. The fire that had been lit in the middle of the camp burnt strong and brightly illuminating the camp site and made the occupant visible. The white fur on the occupant's hands glowed brightly as the left one held a fry pan over the fire as half a dozen sausages were being cooked within while the right hand unfastened the person's sword from their belt and placed it on the floor next to them. The flames from the fire shined in the person's light blue eyes from under their hood hiding the person's face from view while they sat next to the fire. "You know, sneaking up on a person while they are cooking isn't very nice… Shon." The person said calmly.

Shon slowly appeared from out of the shadows of the trees looking displeased and holding his sword drawn in his right hand looking at the hooded person. "If I was trying to sneak up on you the end of the blade would be resting at the base of your throat Linda." Shon said harshly as he stopped about five meters away from Linda.

Smiling softly, Linda slowly placed the fry pan on a few rocks before slowly pulling the hood off her head revealing her long white hair and beautiful face as she slowly looked over at Shon with a soft smirk. "I'd bet, but could you do the deed or is defeating me in a fight all you seek now?" Linda asked as she placed her hands in her lap before slowly blushing a bit and looking a little shy. "Or are you here to take advantage of an unarmed, lonely woman in the middle of the forest?" Linda asked shyly and innocently.

"Enough Linda, I'm not playing any games here, and last time I looked, you were the one taking advantage of a beaten male!" Shon yelled as his grip on his sword tightened.

Linda's expression changed slowly to a big smirk. "You can't still be mad about that right? Oh well, anyway you can stand down Shon, I have no intention of fighting you today and after all I already knew you were coming tonight so sit down here, I've cooked more food." Linda said as she reached into her bag and pulled out two wooden plates and placed three sausages on it before offering it to Shon.

Linda chuckled slightly. "Come on, you're not going to make a girl eat alone are you? And you already know that the guilt card doesn't work on me. You tried that the day you met our son." Linda said softly still holding the plate up to Shon.

Shon sighed and swallowed his pride before sheathing his sword in its holster that hung from his side and took the plate from Linda before sitting opposite her. "Fine, but no funny business." Shon said as he looked at Linda before blushing and quickly looking away from her.

Linda chuckled a bit while she had flashed Shon her breasts before she lowered her top again and fastened her cloak again shut around her neck and chest. "Haha lighten up Shon. You're so serious every time we meet." Linda laughed as she grabbed her own plate and picked up a sausage and took a bite from it.

Baring his teeth Shon scoffed at Linda as he took a bite out of his food. "We've only met three times. First when you fought me, won then raped me. The second when you gave me Jessy and just now." Shon said as he remembered the night Linda handed Jessy over to him.

A year and a half ago:

The night was dark and cold around the village as Shon stood before her, Linda. The very reason Shon's pride was broken in bits. "Linda! I'll kill you what you've done!" Shon yelled as he ran at the hooded Linda who looked like she was holding something in her arms. All Shon could see from Linda was a wide grin form on her face as Shon ran at her.

As Shon's sword approached Linda and came slashing downwards, the blade suddenly stopped mere inches from what Linda was holding as it began crying. Shon's eyes widened in shock at what she had wrapped up in a blanket. "Look at what you have done now; I had just gotten him to sleep twenty minutes ago." Linda said as she grabbed the blade of Shon's sword and took the sword from him with her left hand before tossing it into a tree and made Shon hold the infant wolf in his arms.

Shon looked at the child who stopped crying in Shon's arms and was looking back at him with its light blue eyes and smiled. Shon looked back at Linda who had already begun walking away. "W…Wait you're leaving?" Shon asked shocked. Linda didn't stop, nor did she say another word. Instead she simply left Shon standing in the woods with his child in his arms.

The Present:

Shon's gaze turned harsher as he looked at Linda. Slowly looking up Linda watched as Shon drew his sword again and quickly blocked his attack after she quickly picked up her own sword faster than normal and with little effort. "I hadn't even finished my dinner yet. What gives?" Linda asked.

Shon's gaze towards Linda grew harsher as he saw the smirk on Linda's face. "How… How can you just sit there smirking at me after what you did? Sure I'm mad about the beating you gave me and the forced mating, but what pisses me off beyond all of that… was you walking away and not taking responsibility for everything. You abandoned your duty… your duty as a parent. Not once has he asked me who his mother is, not once has he ever been upset that he doesn't have anyone he can call Mum… But I saw it Linda. You don't know that I saw them, as you walked I saw you crying. So why did you leave?" Shon asked.

Linda sighed softly as she continued to smile as she lowered her sword. "You saw huh? I've always refused to cry, even when I was a kid, whenever I was hurt I refused. But having to walk away from my only child… that put me through more pain then you could understand Shon." Linda said looking down at the flames still smiling… as tears stated to fall from her eyes. Linda quickly began to wipe them away on her sleeve laughing softly, but Shon could tell her smile and laughter were fake. "Look at me, even now I'm being week." Linda said.

Sighing softly Shon put his sword down on the ground making Linda look up and go wide eyed as Shon stepped around the fire and hugged her tightly. "All this time, I thought you didn't care. I thought you found out you were pregnant and had Jessy that you were disgusted and just dumped on me and wanted nothing to do with him. I've been thinking about it for a long time and I want to know. Why did you leave?" Shon asked.

Smiling softly as she wrapped her arms around Shon. "Because… you're a fool." Linda said as she smirked and drove her left fist into Shon's solarplexes as hard as she could, effectively knocking him out. Linda slowly picked Shon's unconscious body up and rested him against the base of a tree before grabbing some rope from her bag and tied him to the tree tightly before sheathing her own sword and looking at Shon with a smile. "Sorry handsome, but for me to explain, I need to visit the one person you would have forbid if you were conscious." Linda said into his left ear before softly kissing Shon's cheek.

Slowly placing a blanket on Shon leaving his head exposed, Linda ruffled Shon's hair softly before slowly leaving the camp and headed in the direction of the village before disappearing from the camp faster than a blink of an eye.

Meanwhile:

In a small hut in the village Jessy sat and the dinner table with a disappointed look on his face as he looked at the spot next to him where his dad normally sat before he looked back at his own food that he cooked for him and his dad and sighed. "Dad's late again… I guess Lady Sapphire needed his help again with something." Jessy said sadly before taking a bite of his fish he had caught and cooked himself before Jessy's ears twitched and he had a displeased look on his face as he slowly got out of his chair and walked over to the cabinet in the lounge room and took out a bow and four sharp arrows from it and walked to the front door and stepped back from it about four meters and readied an arrow.

Jessy watched as the door handle slowly began to turn and the door slowly opened and a hooded figure slowly walked in and closed the door as quietly as they opened it, their back facing away from Jessy and the person haven't noticed him yet, Jessy let go of the arrow, launching it into the door about a hair line next to the person's head causing the person to spin around to find Jessy holding a bow with another arrow already ready to be fired. "Breaking into someone's home is pretty rude Ms. Especially when I'm trying to have dinner." Jessy said with a displeased look on his face. "So… Why are you here? And I don't like the answer this arrow is going to hurt." Jessy said.

Jessy could make out that the woman was now smiling and slowly she brought her hands up to her hood and slowly removed it, causing Jessy's eyes to widen. "Well… I came to see my son." Linda said softly.

Jessy's eyes slowly narrowed and he aimed at her head. "How do I know you're telling the truth lady?" Jessy asked.

Linda smiled softly tearing up a little as she looked at her son. "Well you're as careful as your father that's for sure. Do you know who named you?" Linda Asked.

"My Mother, still however I am not going to accept your story even if you claim to be my mother. True all I remember of her even as a newborn was her soft white fur and light blue eyes but that's all, that and the only words she ever said to me. So here's your chance then, if you can tell me those words, I'll accept your story." Jessy said.

Linda smiled a bit and simply vanished from Jessy's sight in a flash before Jessy felt her arms around him and a soft kiss on his cheek. "I'm sorry my dear Jessy, you may hate me for what I've done. But always remember that your mommy loves you dearly." Linda said as she began to cry softly as she held Jessy who dropped his bow and arrows and turned around hugging his mother tightly. "You've grown to be a fine young boy my son." Linda said as she picked Jessy up only to find as sword's blade held at the base of her throat.

"You've left you guard down Linda. How dare you show your face here?" A voice said. Suddenly Linda's expression grew displeased as she slowly looked over her shoulder to find Sapphire standing behind her. "Put Jessy down now Linda." Sapphire said coldly.

Smirking softly Linda slowly did as she was asked. "I should have realized I was being followed. So, how many did you bring Sapphire?" Linda asked as she stood up and faced Sapphire.

"Why don't you ask him?" Sapphire asked motioning for Linda to turn around.

"There's no need to turn around. I'd know that scent anywhere, amazing that you got out of my knot so quickly Shon." Linda said.

"Linda… you're to be taken to the prison in the temple, I've already gathered all of your belongings from the camp and brought it with m…" Shon was suddenly cut off however.

"ENOUGH ALL OF YOU!" Jessy yelled at the top of his lungs. "As a noble and next of kin of your protector and captain of the guard I request that you stand down Lady Sapphire and as for you Dad I want you to stand down to." Jessy said looking down at the floor.

"J…Jessy." Shon said as he looked at Jessy who looked back at him with a smile and the look in his eyes when he has a plan that reassured his Dad.

Jessy looked over at Sapphire and bowed his head after walking in front of her. "Lady Sapphire, my apologizes for being so forward with this however I wish to make a request. I ask of you to allow my mother to be placed under house arrest here with myself and the captain of the guard known as Shon Wolf, she will be placed under twenty four hour watch by myself and my father." Jessy spoke, surprising his father and Linda. Sapphire lowered her sword and looked at Jessy.

"Jessy you know that I could do this however I see it a far too dangerous." Sapphire said sadly.

"Lady Sapphire, I wish to make an offering for you to allow this." Jessy said causing Shon's eyes to widen.

"J…Jessy don't." Shon said shocked.

Linda looked a little worried about where this was going. Curious as to the offering, Sapphire looked at Jessy once more. "Continue." Sapphire said.

"If you allow my mother to be under house arrest here… I will accept the defeat of the deal that took place between myself and your only daughter Krystal." Jessy said causing Sapphire's eyes to widen and a smile to form.

"So, in order to keep your mother from standing trial and out of prison, you are willing to give your hand to my daughter and become the chieftain of the village and Cerinia. Is this correct?" Sapphire asked. Jessy softly nodded looking up at Sapphire who sighed softly and handed Shon the sword she held. "Linda may stay here tonight, however you and your family are to appear before me, my daughter and the village court excluding Shon in the morning to make your request official. Is this understood?" Sapphire asked.

Jessy stood up again from bowing and looked up at Sapphire. "My Lady Sapphire, I have already professed my pledge on the subject. Once I have done that before you my fate was sealed. I know there is no going back on the path I have just chosen." Jessy said remembering the rules.

Nodding softly Sapphire looked up at Shon and Linda. "Seems luck is on your side Linda, you should be incredibly grateful to your son, for he has just saved you from the death sentence, and has offered to replace yourself with him in an oath paid with his own blood." Sapphire said.

"Y…You're going to kill him?" Linda asked?

"Oh heavens no. Shon will explain everything to you tonight. Well then, until tomorrow my future son in law." Sapphire said before slowly leaving the hut and began to walk home.

Jessy slowly turned around and looked up at his father and mother but Jessy noticed that Shon did not seem very happy about the situation. "Come with me to the dinning area then Linda, I suppose I should explain now." Shon said as he walked away from Jessy and Linda who began to follow. Linda took a seat across from Shon and next to Jessy and Shon sat in his usual spot before looking at Jessy who sat between the two.

"In order for your safety Linda, Jessy has accepted what I had suspected the Lady to be planning. Tomorrow Jessy is going to admit everything that occurred just now and Krystal will have to accept it, luckily for us she will. Afterwards Jessy and Krystal will have to blessed by both Krystal's mother and the Priestess of the village which will involve some of Jessy's blood and Krystal's being mixed into a bowl to signify their unity. Meaning Jessy will be Krystal's mate as of tomorrow after it's all done and there is nothing we can do to stop it." Shon said.

"Is that all? I thought it was going to be something like blood magic." Linda said as folded her arms.

"And we would allow blood magic why?" Shon said harshly.

"Because I need to perform it right now to answer all your questions, so Jessy if at all possible, would you allow me to take some of your blood please?" Linda asked causing Jessy and Shon's eyes to widen as Linda pulled out a knife from her belt and moved a small wooden bowl onto the table. "It'll help your father." Linda said.

Looking a bit shy Jessy nodded softly and gave his mother his hand. "Linda you can't. Jessy has to use that blood tomorrow. His only small so he wouldn't have a lot of blood to begin with." Shon said.

As Linda petted her son's head softly she slowly cut Jessy's hand and allowed some blood to fill the small bowl that was upon the table before she bandaged Jessy's hand. "You know how I was banished and outlawed by all the villages Shon? It was because I have contacts with the Cornerian military. And judging from their information: There won't be any ceremony tomorrow." Linda said.

"What?"

Linda continued using Jessy's blood, mixing it with a few herbs before using one of the candles fire to burn the mixture in the bowl before setting the candle aside and slowly slid the bowl in front of Shon. "Drink." Linda ordered.

Shon looked at Linda. "You can't expect me to drink my son's blood." Shon said a bit disgusted.

"Do you want to find out why I did what I did or not Shon?" Linda asked as she held Jessy in her arms whom had passed out from the blood loss.

Shon sighed softly looking at Jessy and then Linda and quickly picked up the bowl and swallowed the contents only to black out slowly in the chair as visions came flooding into his mind.

Shon saw many cloaked figures surrounding a table and looked like they were discussing something important before Shon saw the face of a Jaguar among the group and then he saw Cerinia, encased with flames, his village destroyed by fire and bathed in blood as innocents lay in the streets dead or cremated. Linda was among those people however Shon was facing the Jaguar he saw before. Shon seemed to be bleeding badly before the vision changed again to see Cerinia exploding into ruble till the vision changed to a wolf wearing a black tattered cloak carrying a sword that looked exactly like his own and he stood in a building that was falling apart and surrounded by blood and fire before the wolf looked directly at Shon as if he could see him, his eyes were as red as the blood that dripped from the sword and Shon knew instantly who it was before the visions ended and he instantly grasped his head so it would stop spinning.

And his eyes, slowly focused on Jessy who was sound asleep in Linda's arms. "So you saw Jessy didn't you?" Linda asked.

"He was the wolf wearing that cloak and surrounded by blood and in a building on fire and falling apart right? But what scares me was Jessy's eyes… they looked like they had seen much death and violence and how did they turn red?" Shon asked as he looked at Linda.

"I don't know, but I saw this vision many months before I encountered you, I was doing this magic on myself at the time because I was asked to by my mother before she died. When I did I saw exactly what you witnessed but there was something else I saw to. I saw the Jaguar fighting Jessy, and while they fought, it seemed to me that Jessy was fighting as if he had nothing left to lose. Meaning something important to him was taken from him before his very eyes. Shon I hunted you down for months after I had that vision because you are the only Cerinian I know of that has red eyes and the only person who wields that sword. So now you know, and I hope you know what you must do now." Linda said as she slowly stood up and walked away with Jessy to go find his bedroom and tuck him in.

Shon sat at the table still, heartbroken. His son would have to go through so much in his future. A life forever in battle and hardship, the life of an Avenger. Shon's gaze shifted from the table to his sword that had been in his family for many generations and was positive that Jessy would one day wield the same sword.

Shon slowly stood up with the sword and walked into the living room to find Linda standing at the entry point to the room. "I know… so please don't interrupt me while I do this, cause what I'm about to do is forbidden in this village and extremely dangerous." Shon said as he unsheathed his sword and sliced open his right hand, coating the blade in blood before the crimson jewel embedded in the hilt gleamed as Shon rested his head on flat side of the blade. "Forgive me Ragnarok, I know you must be angry with me awakening you however I need your aid. You are one of the five guardian swords of Cerinia and as such your powers are feared and wondered by many. This is why Cerinia forbade the awakening of you all for so long and you and the others accepted this. I know you obey the rules however as your master I require you to disobey them this time. Soon I will fall in battle, and I will need you to refuse the person who will pick you up, however I need you to deliver a message for me to the person whom has my blood running through his veins. Even asleep you have seen him." Shon whispered into the blade.

The room slowly grew darker and a whisper echoed through room when Shon stopped speaking. "Jessy… Shon my ninth Master. You ask a great deal as well as something that I forbade for ever guardian sword of Cerinia. What has possessed you to break your forefather's oaths to me? Speak now or die on the spot." The whisper said which was clearly from the sword itself.

"Ragnarok… you are able to store every memory of your past and current wielders. Please, look through my most current ones and you will understand my worries and reasons." Shon said.

After a few minutes Ragnarok shook violently in Shon's hands as Shon heard Ragnarok speak again. "The Avenger… You request that your son be able to wield knowledge of your family as well as the mother of Jessy's every skill they mastered or in the case you're thinking, not even mastered or attempted! However… I can see that your heart is strongly set on this and is good willed… Very well Shon, and that message you wanted has already been stored… now hand me to that female so I can store her memories and message." Ragnarok spoke darkly. Shon did as he was asked and motioned for Linda to come to him.

"Thank you Ragnarok." Shon said softly.

A/N: A sword that is alive and can carry every memory of it's past and present wielders as well as hold other powers that we have no idea about huh? Just what is Shon planning on doing to Jessy by giving him this? And when will this attack happen? You'll find out in the next chapter everyone.
