Chapter 10

So, it has been a while since I last updated and I'm sorry for the little cliffhanger I left you "hanging" at… but what can I say, I must be evil.

Lol! I loved that part where they were telling each other their stories and Raven was like "I didn't mean your birth!"

... wow. You made it sound like Frosty's mean... I've never experienced something like that... I liked the chapter and that's good, but I read it twice to understand. You know, Swedish and all! *whining* I think Frosty is meeeaaan, sooo meeeaaan! But it was still awesome though! :)

for starters, I hate to disappoint this comment won't be as long

So Raven Danny finally break the ice or freeze in it. Either way, there seem common ground

So I'm wondering if they both can fly. Why are they not flying to frostbite's place instead of walking
and why they lead outside his area. The better plan. The land on the border and move in
the movie that was mentioned last chapter and I forgot

Also, given that they now locked in a row. Odds are, there not at frostbite place
he would've not locked Danny up, unless is worried about Raven and the other ghost with them
unless there was regime change i.e. a coup d'état in far frozen

I guess we'll find out

We shall see

you guys are gonna have to step up your game if you want to make it into the shout-outs, I was looking back at previous chapters an noticed that it was almost always these 3. Lets get some competition out there.

Danny: yeah, it is almost like you don't care

Raven: *Sarcastic eye roll*

Now I'm just going to launch into the story now.

(Raven)

I woke up in a well-furnished and warm room. It did not look like any rooms in Titans Tower, but it still felt kind of homey and familiar. The door was locked and I could not move through the walls with my usual portals. With nothing else to do I sat in the middle of the bed and began to meditate.

I used an ancient form to let my mind out of my body and wander the halls of the place. The first sign that it was working was a slight tingling in my head and the feel of detachment and freedom. The next thing I knew, I was looking at myself from above. I willed myself through the wall and I found myself in what looked like a medieval hallway with torches on the walls and a stone floor, no windows, and an elaborate painting of an average snowman. Letting myself float down the hallway and through the last door on the right.

In side I saw what looked like snow-werewolves with a light glow. It took me a few seconds to realize that they were ghosts. In contrast with the room and hallway, this place looked like some kind of future government lab, complete with test tubes and experimentation cells. Floating above the scene I was about to give up and float away when Danny walked in, I could see all of the worry and sleep on his face, that meant that just like me, he was asleep, but unlike me… he was not locked in. My first thought was that he picked the lock somehow, my next after watching the confident and open way he walked was that he was a traitor. I watched, helpless, as one of the snow-wolves got up and rushed at Danny. I saw as he grabbed Danny and crushed him.

I couldn't watch anymore so I brought my mind back to my body. I sat there with my emotions in a turmoil. I sat there crying over Danny's death until my eyes were sore and the tears wouldn't come.

(Danny)

I felt my lungs compress with the force of… well, the force of a giant snow-ghost.

"Frostbite, air!" I gasped as his arms closed around me. Still He squeezed as if trying to pop me.

"Great one, you have returned to us. Now our real work can begin" Frostbite said as if reciting a Shakespearean play.

"Frostbite?"

"Yes, great one?"

"When you found me… was there anyone with me?"

"Yes, two people in fact. The sickened one is in the infirmary and the one attacking you is locked in the rooms of the palace."

"Wait, who was attacking me, and where is the girl in the purple cloak?"

"The girl in the purple cloak is the attacker, oh great one"

I pondered the events of what Frostbite had said until I could only come up with a single solution. "I want to see her, I don't think she meant to hurt me."

Frostbite looked at me, uncomfortable with the turn of events. "Very well, great one, I shall escort you to your attacker."

We walked into a hallway dimly lit with torches on the wall, I went human to keep up my energy and began walking down the hall with my hand on the wall. After a few meters I stopped in amazement.

My human hand was touching something tangible in the ghost zone.

"Frostbite? This stone… What is it?"

"Oh, it took us many millennium to gather enough of it to build our palace. It is a mystic stone from the deep caverns of the ghost zone where the veil between the zones is thinnest. The stone conducts mystical power and dampens all ghost power making for a safe place."

Frostbite finished talking as he stopped by a

Large door and pulled out a key. "Stand back great one."

He opened the door and there sat Raven on the bed with a tear-stained face and trembling hands. I dodged under Frostbite's protective arm and sat next to her pulling her into a protective hug. Her entire body trembled and her eyes looked at me in astonishment and fear. She remained ridged as my arms fell around her, but she soon fell into me sobbing and muttering something about me being dead.

"Raven, you need to listen to me for a moment. The people here think you are the enemy because they saw what they think was you attacking me when they came to get us."

Raven looked up, "But… no, I wasn't attacking. I had put up an insulated shield around you so that you wouldn't freeze."

I looked to Frostbite with defiance, the guy was only trying to protect me… but he had locked up one of my friends, I pulled Raven in tighter holding her close, thinking that if I let go something bad would happen. Frostbite looked personally hurt at the way I had reacted to the situation, one look at his crestfallen face made me feel immediately guilty.

Sighing I loosened my grip on Raven and said, "Frostbite, this is Raven. She is a friend. Raven, it is my pleasure to introduce you to Frostbite, chief of the far-frozen and good friend of mine."

Raven took one look at Frostbite and collapsed in my lap shuddering with fear.

So, they made contact with Frostbite, but is it for better or worse?

Comment below if you want to find out.

If I can hit 600 people following the story and/or me by the end of this book… then there will be a sequel.
